So I read this after reading book five in the series. I really enjoyed being able to read them as standalone and not in order. This is a really good book just like book five. Jax and Lennox are wonderful characters and definitely enjoyed their chemistry. Can’t wait to read the others in the series.

Romance Under Aquarius by Danielle Jacks is her contribution to a multi-author collaboration- the first instalment in the Stargazing series, the new series of 12 standalone stories that all use the same theme as inspiration.
Romance Under Aquarius is different to anything that I have read from Danielle Jacks before, and I was captivated by the gorgeous cover even before I knew anything about the story, or series.
This is a wonderful paranormal romance incorporating the zodiac, Atlantis, some mythology, mermaids, a bit of a quest for treasure, friendship, true love, sacrifice, adventure, and chemistry.
We get a multi-character perspective that adds to the depth and overall intrigue of the story. I enjoyed how the added perspectives gave the story extra layers and complexity. I couldn’t help but become invested in the characters and the outcome of their stories.
I will definitely be exploring more of this series as the instalments are released. And as always, I am looking forward to seeing what Ms. Jacks has in store for us next.
One of my favourites from this talented author.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Danielle Jacks!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a truly amazing mythology romance. I really enjoyed how different this book is. It’s the perfect combination of mythology, astrology, the lost city of Atlantis and merpeople. There’s also romance which I absolutely adore. Maris has had her heart broken by the man she was due to marry. She takes off from Atlantis and finds a man drowning. She joins him on an adventure and as much as they try to fight their growing feelings for each other it seems like fate is bringing them together. It won’t be an easy feat to make their relationship work though because she is a Princess and is expected to marry someone of like status. Will Maris follow her heart or tradition? This is one unique romance that you won’t want to miss!

This book really blew me away. I mean who wouldn’t love a book that is filled with mythology, astrology, mer-people, and more this book was so unique and original that I couldn’t put it down. But that’s not all this book had to offer, this book also had a treasure hunt, the lost city of Atlantis, and of course some romance. So if your looking for a great new read this weekend, make sure to pick this one up today.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I totally enjoyed this story!! This book was different then what I read and do not have to many opportunities to enjoy a book with mermaids with a mix of astrology. The story unfolds with 4 points of view….. Maris, Ryn, Pasha and Kasper. I love getting a POV from each character in the chapter and fate truly brings them all together. Maris, Ryn and Pasha are merfolk where Kasper is human. Maris saves Kasper which then turns into adventure to try and save Kasper’s brother from an illness. Ryn and Pasha are mixed into save Maris. Will Maris, Ryn, Pasha and Kasper be able to save Atlantis and also Kasper’s brother?

There is adventure, deceit, choices to be made and romance all mixed in to this wonderful story. I loved it!!!

Romance Under AquariusRomance Under Aquarius by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Often I read books where I find myself glazing over details to focus on the “good parts”… with this book I found it was all good parts! I was just as interested in the way all the pieces fit together as I was with the romances throughout. Danielle did a great job tying in the characteristics of Aquarius and a fun twist on a known myth.

This is the first book I read that was a romance between human and non-human beings, and I was skeptical at first, but the questions I had regarding the technical aspects of it were answered early on and very smoothly. There were seamless transitions between land and sea – with the familiarity of a timeless tale. There were a wealth of characters and the nuances between them were logical and realistic. I especially liked Owen and his ultimate surprise journey.

I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!

So when I first read the synopsis for this book I wasn’t overly sure what I was going to be reading but I am so glad that I gave it a go it really was a wonderful read. The authors writing was excellent, so easy to read even though it was a pretty complex and multi layered storyline. The author clearly had taken her time in planning to ensure that the story flowed seamlessly and it definitely did. The characters were so interesting to read about, they were all really individual but each of them great in their own way.
I really did enjoy this book and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

A book that has it all. Treasure hunts, mermaids, magic and adventure. Mythology, the lost city of Atlantis and a developing relationship between two strong characters. I enjoyed this story although I felt that there were definitely some smaller plot holes and some of the central characters really acted against who they were portrayed to be. That aside I found that I really wanted to see what happened and so I finished it in one sitting. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

5 stars from start to finish and I would give it more if I could. I absolutely love the little town of Parker Lake and all its wonderful, very colourful characters. I was so happy to be able to read another story in this amazing series but also for Karen and her story to be told. I was hooked from page one until the very last word. This fantastic author creates such a vivid reading experience that you feel a true part of this wonderful town and you simply can’t put the book down until you see what happens next. As book 4, it tells the story of Karen and Brody and while they have been either featured a little or mentioned in previous books your reading experience will not be tarnished in any way if you haven’t read the previous books. I do HIGHLY recommend reading the previous books however because they are so awesome you really don’t want to miss out on them.

The third book in the Red Cage series but in my opinion, it can be read as a standalone.
This was a fantastic character-driven story following London and True. They had a fling a year ago and are now working together at the Red Cage are they destined to be together?
This was a steamy romance that I easily devoured – highly recommended!

This was an incredible read! I loved reading this one so much. It was full of humor, Romance, witty banter, and some action. I was completely enthralled with this book and did not want to put it down. This is the third installment of a series, and I have not read the previous books in this series but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. This felt like a complete standalone to me, which is one reason why I decided to read this one. Kudos to the author though, this book was completely outstanding to me!

The True Garza (Red Cage, #3)The True Garza by S. Ann Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am just jumping into this series but I am going to catch up! I love the banter, the humor, the steam, the characters, and everything.

London “Lonny” Bridge is a badass in her own right. She is a detective trained by the best in the world. Only she has a string of bad luck including a serial killer that became obsessed with her while London was hunting him. Shortly after the tragic loss of her partner, London was hit with the devastating loss of her father. During her grieving, Lonny had a week-long fling with a man she has never forgotten.

Trueman Garza can’t stay focused on any one thing for too long thanks to his ADHD. It has never bothered him before until he met her. Now that she has suddenly popped up back into his life, all he can do is focus on her. London is different from every other woman in his life. Is True willing to settle down with just one woman? Is London even willing to be that woman?

This book was nearly un-put-downable. I got so lost in the story. It is amazing!!

Squid (Moto X Book 5) by Brooke May – Review by Michelle Mulvey

SquidSquid by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I definitely loved this book and everything about it. I loved how Levi was rejected multiple times by the same woman. That causes a spiral for him and he is forced to go work at his fathers firm again. Then he realizes his job there is to assist the one woman who doesn’t fall for his charms…..Miss Kindle James. I absolutely love her character in the book. She’s strong, smart, beautiful and doesn’t take any garbage.
Unfortunately for Levi, he can’t seem to get away from the one girl that called him Daddy and thinks she’s gods gift to men. She’s all about herself and when he finally has had enough of her he tries to get rid of her by not being so nice. Levi has never been friends with a female and working side by side with Kindle, they grow a sort of friendship which he sees a plus for him. Once she is comfortable, maybe he can turn on the charm and win her over. Let’s not forget about Kindle’s roomie…..Will she be the reason Kindle walks away from Levi for good or will there be a happy ending? Such a great read from beginning to end. Loved it!!

Levi seems to have it all. Money, wild partying, a different girl every night… but really he’s covering up heartbreak.
one night while out partying he sees a goddess and cant get her out of his mind.
His father has had enough of his moping around and partying ways and makes him come to work as an assistant to prove himself under a new boss…. and who is his new boss…. you guessed it the goddess!

This is a story about a wild boy who turns into a man and reforms himself while perhaps finally understanding love. there is a lot of chemistry snark and banter to keep you entertained!

Squid (Moto X Book 5)Squid by Brooke May

Right from the start, the story drew me in. Levi is a party boy that has a lot more going on in his head and heart than meets the eye. His antics at the start are entertaining to witness along side him. It also helps that the story is written in second person and even has moments where the MC engages with the reader to make you feel like you are being told a story from a friend. Once Levi starts putting an effort into putting his life on track, his world view totally changes, and he is put in a position where he is trying to reach a future, and trying not to let his past hinder him. The romance is quite sweet as well. Initially unrequited feelings that slowly start to turn into more. Also, Kindle is such an awesome and powerful female MC. The story is short, but didn’t leave me wanting. The romance seems quick, but was still satisfying. In general, this is a quick, fun, and spicy read that will be entertaining until the very end. This is book five in the series, and admittedly I did not read the others, but I had no trouble following along with the story. I do have the sense that there are many background stories with side characters that I am missing information on, so I definitely intend to go back and read the other books.

Levi Crowe is a player and man-child, living a privileged life with a trust fund income he can just do whatever he wants. People flock to him or shall we say women and he welcomes them with a night of passion with no strings. Although deep down he is scared by the be trail of an ex-girlfriend and has his heart on locked for a long time until one night all that changes when he discovers the women who turns him down.

With this shock he is then plunged into shock when his parents have also had enough and take away all his money and make him go to work at the family law office, Levi thinks this is a bad idea until he turns up and does not have his corner but is an assistant but what is even more unreel is that the lawyer he is assisting is no other than Kindle James the woman who turned him down in the bar.

Things become interesting and can Kindle reignite the fire and ambition deep in Levi to be a great lawyer and a better person?

This is he first story I have read by this author and it was well written and the characters where well developed. To say I was not a fan of Levi in the first few chapters would have been an understatement, his constant whining and pitiful destruction was not my cup of tea and to be honest I was his friends I would have told him to do one, lol.

Then, half way through the book you started to see the true character of Levi which was great to read, although I wish this had started earlier, the way the author wrote the two main characters weaving through there feelings was brilliant but I felt at times that it was a bit rushed.

Saying that the storyline was brilliant and it did have me deeply engrossed wanting to find out will they, won’t they but unfortunately I am staying mum and you will have to read the book to find out. I would like to read more of this author and especially see the stories if their are regarding the secondary characters in the book and how there relationships started and bloomed.

This is a dual point of view with Luc and Summer.

I loved seeing Luc and Summer’s love story progress throughout the book. This was definitely dark, action-packed, suspenseful and steamy.

Romance under Aquarius is the first book in this series. Danielle usually writes contemporary romance so it was a nice change to see something a little different. It is a paranormal romance with lots of different and interesting elements and developments. There is a lot going on so the story is told from many different POV’s giving us an even deeper look at the characters and just who they are.

With the lost city of Atlantis and Greek mythology, hot Mermen and Mermaids, royalty and cheating fiancés, drama and steamy romance there is a little of everything for any lover of paranormal.

I will not share anything more as you need discover it all on your own.

One of the things I enjoy about this author is her ability to pull you into the story from the start. The characters bring her story to life on each page. They are connectable and just made the story for me. There is much going on in this story but it all fits together where it is not confusing. I enjoyed how the author used details to make the story realistic. There is great growth of the plot and also the characters throughout. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and hard to put down. I highly recommend this story and this author.
