This book gave me the hallmark romance fix I needed! It’s a very cute, romance read that is written in a unique way. I loved Graham’s character and his interactions within the book matched him very well. I didn’t really enjoy Lara and couldn’t really connect with her. I think the reason for her being in Cupid’s Cove was a legit reason, I just don’t think the weight of how her mental health was impacted was written in a way that conveyed authentically what she was experiencing.

Forbidden Love: Book 1 of the Forbidden Duet by KM Lowe – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Forbidden Love - Book 1 of The Forbidden DuetForbidden Love – Book 1 of The Forbidden Duet by K.M. Lowe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading this book and wow I can’t believe someone would actually do this kind of thing to their children. Colton, Clark and Damien are brothers who grow up in the same house yet turn out to be totally different from eachother. Kally and Clark have always been close. They have feelings for eachother but at Kally’s 18th birthday party things change. Clark was waiting for Kally to turn 18 to act on his feelings and claim her as his but now he might be to late.
This book is so messed up on so many levels in a good way though haha! Colton has lost his mind. I can’t even imagine having to deal with someone like him.
Will Clark get his happy ending? Will Colton finish what he has started?
This book had lots of great characters. Love Caleb and his brothers. Definitely a lot of suspense in this one and wasn’t sure what was going to happen next!

Vampire stories are my heart. This is the first book I have read by this author but will not be the last! Sam, a Navy SEAL, and Layla, a vampire hunter. Two people that should not be together, when tragedy arises, and they have to work together, can they resist their natural instincts? The intensity between the two and how well they work together is a must read! I am looking forward to seeing what is in store for these two next.

This book had it all. Boss romance, mafia romance and enemies to lovers romance which are some of my favorites. I loved Summer and Lucs story so much that I flew through this book, just like I did with all the other Mafia Elite books. It was filled with the right amount of action, romance and emotion. Highly recommend the whole series. I seriously can’t wait for Treys book!

Shamrock & Clover: Field’s Apart by C.A. King – Review by Sheri Schrader

Shamrock & Clover: Fields ApartShamrock & Clover: Fields Apart by C.A. King

Shamrock and Clover: Fields Apart is a sweet romance about love and luck. Clover should live a life filled with luck, but she has nothing but challenges. Shamrock lives a life of debauchery and has become complacent in life. What happens when Clover and Shamrock meet? Will they be lucky in love?
I always enjoy this author’s books, and this did not disappoint. There were some tears, laughs, and more as I read the story. This is a short but excellent read. I felt for Clover as she went through her challenges and could relate to her hurt and heartache. Shamrock was harder to embrace, but in the end, he won me over.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

This dark and gripping story is simply amazing. While this is not my first book by this author this one was dark, emotional, gripping, and dramatic. Personally I can’t wait to read the second one in this series. While it may be full of pain, and heartache can Kally and Clark over come the obstacles in their path? Can they over come the greed and hatred from those that are supposed to love them more than anything? This story will keep you reading and I’m not sure how soon you’ll be able to read a book after this story…..Clark and Kally will stay with you even after you read your next book. So make sure you don’t miss this griping story.

My Valentine’s Day Cookie Match is part of the Welcome to Cupid’s Cove series. The series is set in Cupid’s Cove, written by different authors. I grabbed this one because I have read many books from this author, and they never disappoint. Graham is new to town and has a great dating app connected to a bakery. Lara works in her mother’s bakery and does not like the new competition.
This is a sweet romance that I read quickly and left me in a great mood. I liked the characters and their will they/won’t they story. I look forward to reading more from this author soon.

When I say I couldn’t put this book down, I literally mean I finished in one sitting – at 3 am! The story grips you immediately, intense action from the very start. It has everything you could want – thrilling, surprising, and SO SIZZLING!! I want to hear more about Luc and Summer!!
Amy McKinley does a masterful job of bringing you into the world of these characters. Laced with innuendo and tension, you can’t help but root for the main characters and everyone in the Chicago Mafia family. Each one very well distinguished from the next – I will likely go back and read it again!
Though I came late to the party, I immediately went and purchased the first four books to read as well. I cannot say enough good things about this. If you like wit, steam, romance and strong characters – with a hint of danger and thrill – run to get this series!!

Finding Melodie and The Wedding Special Boxset by Laura Rossi – Review by Katie Stapleton

Melodie Boxset (Melodie #1-2)Melodie Boxset by Laura Rossi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love that this set offers the opportunity to meet and fall in love with the characters, and then embark on another journey with them together. Melodie is a powerful package in a small box; You take an instant liking to her and her hopeless romanticism. This is a fun series that also incorporates serious vibes and storylines. Perfectly imperfect with just enough passion and humour!
Laura Rossi does an incredible job of taking you on the journey with her in London. A flirty romance, an atypical main character, great support characters, and a lot of scenery. I can’t wait to read more about the entanglements of the broader characters in the series! Let’s have one about John and Mike, whose wit and style give the main characters a run for their money!!

Graham is quitting his city job to move Cupid’s cove and launch his new matchmaking app and coffee shop. He is banking on people making it popular in their quest to find love. Lara runs a bakery with her mother in Cupid’s Cove. After her recent breakup, the bakery is all she has to keep her sane. That is, until the mayor (who happens to be Lara’s father) approves a new coffee shop to open up in town.

However, when Graham’s business opens up, Lara finds herself spending more and more time with Graham and their chemistry and banter is there in spades! But, as it is with small towns, his ex comes through town and stirs up some drama and families meddle under the guise of doing what’s best. Can these two make it work despite being rivals (and the age gap)?

The story was a cute small-town rivalry story. It was a quick read and a quick-paced story. Using the radio intros was something I enjoyed reading…and the recipes sprinkled within the pages sound yummy!

Until There Was You by G. Colgrove – Review by Angela Shirley

Until there was youUntil there was you by G. Colgrove
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Regan always thought she was cursed, wanting to leave Boston and travel the world. Being the first in her family to graduate her world was ahead of her but in one walked Jeremy and her world stood still.

Jeremy is destine to inherit Stone Development, he has worked hard to prove to his father that he is capable to takeover the business. So this project in Boston starts off great he has the backing but when they step into the diner across from one of the developments and he sees her, all his dreams and aspirations do not seem that important anymore.

This is the first story I have read by this author and I really enjoyed the well written and developed characters. I loved the sassy, strong character of Regan, she knew what she wanted as was not afraid to let Jeremy know exactly what she was thinking and feeling.

Jeremy for me was a great character to match the strong willed character of Regan, but with him being that bit older his responsibilities to his family made your heart ache for the both of them. I loved the secondary characters and would love to know the story behind Shane her brother in the end and does Phillip find his love as I wish he was my best friend also.

All-round I loved this book from start to finish, the story was engaging and at times my heart did break for the two main characters, thank you for a great book I can’t wait to read more.

This is a great, heart-warming contemporary romance that I devoured in a few hours. It’s a feelgood romance that was great to read after having read a heavy, dark romance before it. I enjoy both types but this was just what the doctor ordered at the time.
Marketing specialist Graham has decided on a career move, opening a cookie shop with the added bonus of having a dating app based on your purchases. Very apt in a town called Cupid’s Cove. What he doesn’t expect is Lara, the mayor’s daughter, whose family own the local bakery. Intent on hating Graham for proving competition, she’s surprised by how much the two of them click.
As always, true love never run’s smoothly and Graham and Lara’s love is put to a very big test to prove just how true it is.
This is a great read, which I really enjoyed and would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you are looking for a quick, heart-warming read to lose yourself in for a few hours.

A Tormented Man’s Soul Part 1 (Grimm Wolves MC Series Book 5) by D.M. Earl – Review by Lorrene Huisman

A Tormented Man's Soul (Grimm Wolves MC Book #5)A Tormented Man’s Soul by D.M. Earl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been reading this series since book number 1, and each time I am hooked and amazed by the amazing writing. The author is very good at what they do, and craft a engaging story that gives you a lot of feels and emotions, and most certainly, this was a book I could not put down. Very compelling!

This one follows the lines of the other books in the series. This time around, Chains and his story is finally told. I have patiently waited for his story for quite some time. I knew had a a lot of layers that must have been caused by past stuff, but I never imagined it would go as deep as this story allowed it to go! The past truly haunts him, but the 2 souls that care abut him help him even in his darkest times and darkest hours. It was really beautiful in truth to read that. I enjoyed reading and learning of Chains and all he had to undergo. It really made me feel for him. I defiantly sensed as well as felt the strong character development. This book alone was a must read. Defiantly worth picking up and giving it a read!

Amazing series, and this installment was a freaking wow factor type of read. Highly recommend this series if you have not read the prior books. This book alone was amazing and full of spirit and emotion. Not one to be passed up by any means. Highly recommend this must read book/series!

Clover is working to help support her grandmother and also looking for luck in the love department. Shamrock just loves the ladies………when both Clover and Shamrock meet…it definitely set up the the start to the possibility of love and luck for them both.

This story is endearing, sweet and I loved every moment.

Forbidden Love - Book 1 of The Forbidden DuetForbidden Love – Book 1 of The Forbidden Duet by K.M. Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first instalment of a duet that I’m pretty sure I will read again if this first book is anything to go by. I had read one of this author’s books before and had really enjoyed it, so I has no issues reading more of this author’s work.
Can I say, I really loved this book. It had my emotions all over the place. My heart broke for Kally and Clark so many times. No one deserves the heartache that their families put the two of them through. I pray that they get their well deserves HEA.
This book will really tug on the heart strings. I don’t think I’ve hated anyone as much as I hated Clark’s brother Colton. That man is just pure evil.
The author does a brilliant job is grabbing you tightly at the beginning of the book and keeping a tight grasp right through and not letting you go. As the first part of a duet, there is more of this fascinating story still to come and I can’t wait to read it.

Finding Melodie and The Wedding Special Boxset by Laura Rossi – Review by Jamie Truex

Melodie Boxset (Melodie #1-2)Melodie Boxset by Laura Rossi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolutely recommend this book. It’s a cute little love story that I just couldn’t put down! Melodie is a street musician in London. Artistic, tattoos, piercings and pink hair! She’s secretly crushing on Office Guy, a “square” who spends every lunch break on a bench facing her and listening to her play. One day he talks to her and their lives will never be the same. Do opposites really attract?

Pixie and Office Guy have been together a year now and still going strong. He pops the question and she says yes of course! Then the doubts set in. Is she good enough to make him happy? Is she marriage material? Will his family approve? I really enjoyed the next chapter in the lives of Melodie and Issac. I read both books in less than 24 hours!

Welcome to the Mafia Elite and the 5 families who run it. This is Book 5 and involves Luc Savino and Summer Johansson. After a one night stand, decided by both. This couple’s lives go down a different path. As Summer heads to work the next day to discover she has a new boss. The company she worked for as a sub, has been bought. Her new boss, well you need to read the book to discover who he is. I love this series! The women are just as powerful and their alpha males. The storyline is fast paced and will keep you reading. The rollercoaster you are about to board, will trigger all of your emotions. In the end, like me, you will want the next in this series NOW. This author never disappoints, and I am finding myself drawn to her and her books. Her stories are alway high energy and sure to keep you wanting more. This story is well written and the characters fit the parts they portray. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next in this series. I recommend you read this series in order. Get to know the characters and follow the author along.

Lara is a small town girl who just wants to take a break and figure everything out. That is until a new coffee shop comes to town. Now she needs to make sure that her family’s bakery survives the competition. Then she meets the competition. Graham is the owner of the new coffee shop. Graham and Lara’s attraction are obvious, but there are obstacles in their way. Can they make it through? If all that wasn’t enough there are the most wonderful sounding recipes that you can make.

S.B. Alexander is a new author but what a mind she has. She has a knack for making you feel like you have new friends and you want to be part of the group in the story. Layla is a vampire hunter and Sam is that sexy Navy seal except he is a vampire as well. What can go wrong with these two right? or what can go right? The passion, grit, and love of these two are put to the challenge in more than one way, but what happens when the only one that can help you is the one you are sworn to annihilate??

The Hunted (Vampire Navy SEAL: Sam & Layla, #1)The Hunted by S.B. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fast paced and filled with action. Then there is the chemistry which is OFF the CHARTS. Scenes between Sam and Layla so HOT! I loved all the anticipation between them!

This is filled with great characters! I enjoyed them all….even the bad ones. Everyone brought something to the table that is a little bit different. They impressed me and made me irritated… then I would roll my eyes at something silly. I really enjoyed them and can’t wait to find out more about them.

Sadly this does end on a cliffhanger…I am not a fan of them. I wish this could have ended differently and we could move to other characters in future books. In fact I would love a Tripp/Rianne or a white wolf story.

Overall this is an amazing story filled with characters I came to care about. I look forward to more in this series.

Finding Melodie and The Wedding Special Boxset by Laura Rossi-Review by Elena Tobar

Melodie Boxset (Melodie #1-2)Melodie Boxset by Laura Rossi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a sweet romance with so many moments that made me laugh out loud. I really love that Melody isn’t the typical cookie cutter heroine. She’s unique, she speaks up for herself and doesn’t take crap and she’s so carefree. It’s so interesting to read her observations about the people that come to listen to her play and the way she immediately falls for Office Guy the second she lays eyes on him. He isn’t the type she typically goes for either which might be just what she needs to get it right this time. Sometimes you really do need someone that is the complete opposite of you to balance each other out. I was rooting for them from the very beginning. They face some obstacles along the way that really had me glued to the book wait to see what would happen next, but the ending is definitely swoon worthy. This is one adorable romcom that you won’t want to miss.

Regan wants out of South Boston and to make a fresh start for herself where no one knows her family history. Jeremy is doing everything he can to prove to his dad that he’s ready to take over the family business. When the two meet there’s definitely a spark there. Can the privileged guy from LA and the girl from the bad side of town with a criminal family really be together?
To say I loved this book would be an understatement. It’s one of the best contemporary romance books I’ve ever read. It has a wonderful story with a great amount of depth and just pulls you in and gives you all the feels. Also, the spice level is off the charts, HOT! I highly recommend this book.
