(Un)Loved (Mixed Emotions, #1)(Un)Loved by Katy Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Mixed Emotions series and also the first book I have read by this author. This was such an emotional read for me. Sophie and Gil are both in the acting industry and have been friends for a long time. Finishing up a movie together, they find out that they are each attracted to the other and take that next step. They go to France to meet Gil’s family and what a ride from there. Can they overcome their issues and make it work? Will Sophie’s insecurities ruin everything? I can’t wait to read more from this author.

An Alien Storm (Soldiers of Saedo Book 4) by Calla Zae – Review by Kerry Carr

An Alien Storm (Soldiers of Saedo, #4)An Alien Storm by Calla Zae
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 4 in the Soliders of Saedo. While I haven’t read the previous books in the series I still really enjoyed this sci-fi romance. I loved both the main characters. Both were really easy to like and feel for at times.

Vanessa is a chef on the plant of Saedo. After escaping her abusive ex husband all she wants in a quiet life. She doesn’t dream she will ever find love again. That is until she meets a star being called Arkon.

Arkon has secrets in his past as well but he can’t deny or help the attraction he feels towards Vanessa. Could she be the one he’s been waiting for? Are the destined to be together? Or will their pasts stop them from finding love?

Along side the romance there is also danger as something is trying to change the peaceful world they live in.
This was a really good read and i am not going to read the others in the series.

Lingering Spirits (Soul Connection, #4)Lingering Spirits by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hope has the power of telepathically, which she uses to help people, though she does it from a distance. When she connects with Russ, she is not sure why she is unable to disconnect with him, but she tries to help him nonetheless. In time, the two form a strong bond, but still do not understand the reason for the connection.

I do not want to give too much. I have a few of the other books in the series, and really enjoyed them. This novel was no different. I enjoyed paranormal stories, with telepathic connection. The mystery of why Russ and Hope were connected kept me engaged while reading.

I am hoping for later books in the series.

A fun Rom Com that is sweet and will bring a smile to your face. I have read a lot of books by CA and each one is as different as night and day but each on always leaves an impression on me. This new age romance has a little something for those who love holidays and something fun and a little different. I loved the characters, they are likeable and relatable, and their chemistry finds insta love.
This is a short story, which makes for a quick, and easy read when looking for a little escape from reality.
Give this feel-good story a go, you know you want to.

Great story. I was immediately hooked. Clover couldn’t seem to catch a break, it was just one thing after the next for her. The police, her grandma, her boyfriend she thought was cheating. Meeting Shamrock and finally thinking things would be different. Throw in some misunderstandings and a very long past of hook up after hook up, it didn’t look like Shamrock was ever going to find what he was looking for. This is such a sweet and super cute short story, definitely read if you want a little pick me up.

Ian is soooooo intense ! All I wanted to do is throw myself at his feet and beg him to make me his 🤦‍♀️🔥

Acacia did a real number on Ian and I really just wanted to give her a knuckle sandwich for the damage she caused but I realised if I kept focusing on her I’d be loosing out on the real story , the one of Grace and Ian 🥰❣️

Grace lives with Sophie and whiles she’s a good sort she has a rather colourful social life and more often than not there are surprise visitors so when Grace sees Ian’s roommate proposal she jumps at the opportunity, she can now save for own apartment and she’ll have a quieter life and all she has to do is cook food !

I don’t think Grace knew what she was letting herself in for I mean hello Ian is more than a handful on so many different levels ! I’m sure he could get a nun to take off her habit 🤦‍♀️🔥

Both Ian and Grace have their own issues and baggage but they took me on an epic journey and I’m so grateful and they’re the type of characters that will stay with you and in your heart , they’re the reason we have book hangovers ❣️📕😉

The characters in this book are complex and intriguing. Every time I think I am starting to see where the book is going, I get surprised. I love when a book is not predictable. Grace needs another place to live and Ian is looking for a roommate. What could go wrong…or maybe right. Grace and Ian both have their own baggage to deal with. Can they see their way through at the things that could keep them apart? I absolutely loved this book. I lost sleep reading this book. I regret nothing.

While I must admit historical fiction has never been my cup of tea I did truly enjoy this one. I love the fact that it is faith based. I have never read anything by this author prior, but I appreciate the fact that she so easily draws you in and keeps you wanting more. This is not your cut and dry Christian romance, there is angst, family drama, and jealousy as well. I appreciate this author’s writing style and look forward to reading the next book in this series, and hopefully more from her in the future!

This was a great 5 star read that pulled me right in.
Once I started I didn’t want to put it down.

Grace needs to find a new place to live. Luckily her neighbor Ian is looking for a roommate. And what he is offering is perfect for her. As long as she cooks for him she can stay rent free and the bonus is he’s hot as heck. Who wouldn’t love this offer? The more time they spend around each other the more the chemistry builds between them.

My emotions were all over the place with this book. We find that they both have some secrets that they are holding pretty closely. What will happen when they finally come out? Overall I loved this book, the characters were great. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right into this story. As the story begins it is clear that Faith and her cousin Thomas are very close and you might expect the budding romance to be between them as Thomas is adopted. But then Nico comes to help her uncle with a project and they both seem to be very interested in one another. As events take place it becomes clear that Faith must trust in hers to make it through each occurrence. By the end of the story, she has developed quite a lot from a very naïve and innocent young lady to one who is starting to fully understand the bad and ugly that is around her.

Francis N Stein, with a name like that you would expect him to be part of the Grimm Wolves MC but what you don’t expect, is a man with a big heart. Francis is a lost soul who really doesn’t have a lot of faith in humanity. His own parents torched him. This was an emotional read. I found this story to be original and unexpected. Grace and Ian become roommates because of circumstances that have Grace needing to move out of her friend’s place quickly. Ian has a very big secret that he’s trying to keep from ever coming out. Grace has some issues in her past that she’s not sure she will ever be ready to talk about. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. This book had romance, pain, love, a shocking surprise that I didn’t see coming, great characters and so much more. This is the first book I have read by this author but it definitely won’t be the last. This author wrote a great story that I highly recommend.

I was obsessed with this series from the beginning! Definitely read the first books in the series, as they follow the same storyline and you would be missing crucial information if you don’t! Vanessa goes through alot in the span of these four books. Going along with her on the journey was quite the ride. I enjoyed meeting each of her immortal men, and the conclusion wrapped it up nicely. Honestly, I cannot pick which immortal man I liked best, but you dont even have to choose! The story is filled with romance, spice, family, and mahem from the very first book. It Just Comes Natural (Powder River Pack Book 3) by Brooke May – Review by Vanessa Watts

It Just Comes NaturalIt Just Comes Natural by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This third book in the Powder River Pack series may be my favorite one so far. After all there is romance, mystery, intrigue, duty, responsibility and fate. What more could you want?

Brandon is the pack jokester, likes to have a good time, but realizes it’s time for some responsibility and joins the military. One crazy night on the town he meets the one person that can turn him inside out and change his life, his fated mate. Macy goes into the town to let loose, and finds the undeniable attraction she has toward Brandon. They have one great night together when reality steps in and pulls them apart. Macy runs away and Brandon must leave early for his military service.

Once his military obligations are complete, Brandon returns to his hometown desperate to find the one who got away and took a piece of him with her. He knows it’s a longshot but fate must be smiling down on him and he finds Macy in the local bar. Can Macy overcome her feelings of the past to build a future with Brandon? This book has everything you could wish for in a shifter romance and I lost sleep over this book because I just couldn’t put it down. I recommend you read the other books in this series so you get to know the other pack members though this can be read as a standalone book. I cannot wait to see what else this author has in store for us next!

Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm

Seductively Yours is the third book in the Titans of Manhattan Series . This is a Contemporary Romance that is Hot and Steamy. This series is on my list of favorites by this author and its definitely going on my list of re-reads. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading you mine as well plan on not being able to stop until you finish. This author continues to amaze me with her attention to detail and I love her style. She puts just the right amount of sizzle and makes me want more. Her characters are fun, relatable and easy to fall in love with. I’ve been patiently waiting for this book and it didn’t disappoint me it blew my expectations out of the water. I do highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already started, they are just as good as this one plus you get to read about the other Titans. This is Mason and Rhyann’s story. She’s got big dreams and one them was being excepted into one of the biggest Ballet schools . She earned a scholarship and soon finds herself needing to make some money as she’s learning everything is expensive. Her roommate suggests Pole Dancing and she then finds herself at Mason’s Club as a dancer. Mason oh Mason he’s one of the Elite Titans of Manhattan and owns a super popular nightclub. He doesn’t do relationships he’s a one night only kinda guy. Rhyann is a familiar face to Mason and he soon realizes why they had a one night stand. You guys I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Its more than worth it. I can’t wait to read more from this series and this author.

Call of the Alpha (The Powder River Pack #2)Call of the Alpha by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The second book in the Powder River Pack Series is a knock your socks off story. There seem to be stories inside of the main story and the author does a wonderful job bringing them all together.

Rylie is an outdoorsy biologist, not afraid to work and get her hands dirty. After heading back to her hometown eager for the career prospects she might find, she runs into someone that could alter the course of her entire life if she lets him of course. Who is this charmer that she can’t get out of her head? His name is Mason, and he just so happens to be the alpha of the Powder River Pack, single dad and bar owner. Mason has almost all but given up on finding his fated mate and the prospect of raising his son by himself. That is until he catches Rylie’s scent on the dance floor of his bar and is inexplicably drawn to her, but it seems he is not the only one who feels their connection. The unfortunate thing is Rylie has no idea about Mason’s kind and Mason has no idea how she’ll react when she finds out. Can Rylie open herself to the possibility of not only mated to a Werewolf but also the leader of his pack and help him lead? This book gave me all the feels and you can’t help but pull for Mason and Rylie. After all they were literally made for one another, can they get out of their own heads to find their happily ever after? If you love shifter romances, this is one series you should jump on reading!

I enjoy a nice historical romance once in a while and this certainly was just that. I liked the fact that this was a clean romance. It made quite a change from the norm and was very well written. The characters are realistic and quickly draw in the reader.

I really enjoyed the escape into this world along with the balance of romance and just the right amount of drama. I found that the book was a breath of fresh air. A Second Chance (The Powder River Pack #1)A Second Chance by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love all kinds of shifter books and most of them have a fated mate, sometimes things go according to plan and other times not so much. This book will send your emotions on a roller coaster ride, sometimes cheering for Derek and Anabelle and other times yelling at them for being so blind.

Derek and Anabelle find love in each other at a very young age, but even the best love sometimes falls apart. At one point finding themselves apart and broken hearted, each with the same feeling of discontent in future relationships. Annabelle goes off and makes a career for herself, but finds she must return as her estranged father is dying. Out of a sense of guilt and duty she finds herself pulled back to fetterman, Wyoming. Where she must face Derek again except he is no longer the young man she once loved, he is bitter and angry and confrontational. Can Derek and Annabelle find their happy ever after together or is the past too much to overcome? Will Annabelle sacrifice the career she has built for herself for the love of a man she has never gotten over? This is a book all about how we don’t always know the full story when it comes to relationships. It is about overcoming the past and working to build a future worth living for. I loved this book and am super excited to read what comes next for the Powder River Pack!

I was completely drawn in by this story even before I read the first page. The author did an amazing job of capturing my attention with the blurb and then did an even better job of keeping that attention throughout these 3 fantastic books. The story was so well thought out and developed. It was exciting to read but also had more detail than you would usually see in a YA novel.
I loved the characters in this book too. I thought they were really easy to connect with and their story was complete believable. I loved to see how it progressed across the series and how they evolved.

Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins, #1)Faithful in Love by Cecily K. Wolfe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Faith, a very strong, emotional female lead. I absolutely love this book. The historical aspect of the romance and the fact that it is centered on such a strong, loving family is beyond awesome. I appreciate the fact that this romantic novel was written so sweetly and that all the characters are such strong in their faith and love of God. When vital information comes up missing, boy, I was so wrong as to who my accused was. The characters came to life in my head, and I could picture myself in the era of the book. My favorite character must be Evie though, since all she seems to care about are books, I can relate to her so well! A great read full of intrigue, mystery, faith, and romance. I cannot wait to read the other books in this series. I just love how the family sticks together to help a friend and that it is done in such an innocent and pure form of love. A must read! I just love the fact that old-fashioned courting was taking place. Who doesn’t like a good romance that is clean and pure and perfect?
