Faithful in Love (Cliff Walk Cousins Book 1) by Cecily K. Wolfe

Faithful in Love is the first book in the Cliff Walk Cousins Series. This is a Historical Romance/Christian  book that I absolutely loved reading. This is a fairly new author to me but I’ve already looked to see what other books she has. Im definitely going to check them out.  I’m a huge fan of Historical Romance/Christian Romance and this book definitely checked all the boxes. I was pulled in from the beginning and had a terrible time putting it down. I caught myself saying one more chapter several times. This is a story about Faith and Nico. Faith finds herself starting to fall for her uncle’s apprentice who just happens to be Nico. He’s extremely happy with his apprenticeship for his uncle. but what will happen when  their friendship  turns more romantic? I loved these two especially Faith. I found myself a little emotional at times . I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author. I’m very excited about this series.

This was such a good book to read for a break! Sophie even took a break! She’s a highly rated actress who has been non-stop working for her career. Gil, her actor friend who slowly starts to become more, convinces her to do the break. They go to France! During the break, romance begins and twists and llamas are involved. Take a look for yourself as you’ll love it too!

While this is a shorter novella I loved it just as much as the first book in this series. While this novella can be read as a stand alone I would recommend reading the first one just so you can get a fell for all of the wonderful characters that reappear in this second installment. While this story was shorter it still packed all the same great things that the first one did, the emotions, the drama, the romance was all incredible. I can’t wait to dig into the next installment.

I read this book in an afternoon! Its an incredible, but not basic, romance story! The author did a wonderful job of giving us realistic characters who face twists and turns throughout the story. Jeremy and Regan had such a good connection and I kept wanting to read more. If you like contemporary romance novels, I suggest this book!

Kiss of the Swan by Natalina Reis -Review by Jennifer Ramos

Kiss of the SwanKiss of the Swan by Natalina Reis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an amazing read of another classic retelling! Natalina Reis’ rendition of the classic stories of Hans Christian Anderson and Grimm’s fairy tales will bring readers of these familiar tales and new readers towards curiosity to a new adventure.

This story takes us to the Kingdom of Nem, where King Rian is doing all that he can to ensure an heir to his throne. When his son is finally born, a witch casts an evil spell that when the child turns 18 years of age, everyone in the Kingdom including the King will fall into a deep slumber.

As the years go by, the reader is introduced to Cathal and his younger brother, Odhran. Now as young men, Cathal had grown up protecting the evil wrongdoings of his younger brother as a result of their mother’s dying wish. Odhran tended to have a hurtful and sadistic nature, while Cathal was the complete opposite of being gentle and kind to others. Encounters with some swans nearby had landed Odhran in a special prison while Cathal recovers from being attacked. Under the care of Queen Eala and her family, Cathal learns of his brother’s actions and tries to justify his lack of protection while his brother is under his watchful eye.

As Cathal heals physically and mentally from such a taxing ordeal of years long hardship he endured as a result of Odhran’s harmful actions, he starts appreciating the simple things of life, nature, and love. Such simple life experiences Cathal hasn’t had the opportunity to cherish being the protector to his brother. At the same time, secrets start to come to light when he learns where he is and the people taking care of him. Things he never knew such as magical creatures, witches, and most importantly, family secrets that intertwined the futures of these brothers.

Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Titan, Mason Steele, is a life-long bachelor who owns a handful of nightclubs around the states. He is a man who has a different girl all the time until he meets Rhyann one night at his club, and indulges in a hot romance in the bathroom. Rhyann is a small town girl from Kansas with a dream of being a dancer. While trying to make her way through dance school, her girlfriend and her decide to get jobs as exotic dancers, at one of Masons’ clubs; little did she know he was the owner. Rhyann quickly became one of the favorites among the men in the club, which included Mason. Rhyann struggles with trying to find herself in this big city, follow her dreams, and find respect as a woman. Will the boundaries that need to be displayed work to fight their feelings of lust, or was their amazing one night stand way more than that?

Seductively Yours is one of my favorites in this series. The characters involved are dynamic, real, and seductive. Rhyann is a sweet, but badass, driven woman that catches the attention of Mason who is dangerous, but sweet. He is also driven, honest, and respectful all while being sexy as hell. The chemistry the two characters have reels you in to hope they each can figure it out and find a happy ending. I will say, while in all of this author’s Titan stories there are steamy story lines, this one takes the cake. I could have read about the romance between these two all day!

After reading the first book I could not wait to get my hands on book two. And it did not disappoint. Thia is still a relatively new author to me but I really love how gritty and intense the feel of all the books are. It completely draws me in and I become engrossed with the story.
I can tell this series is going to be fantastic as both of the books so far have been amazing. I loved everything about this book from the story to the characters. I would highly recommend it!

(UN)Loved (Mixed Emotions Series) by Katy Hunter – Review by Julie Johnson

(Un)Loved (Mixed Emotions, #1)(Un)Loved by Katy Hunter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sophie and Gil are costarring in a movie together but have vowed to keep things in the “friend zone” even though the movie involves a lot of intimacy. After the movie wraps, things change and “G” and “Shee” take off to London to spend the summer with G’s family. My favorite part of the story was reading about Tornado, the llama!

I did not really enjoy this book, except for the previously mentioned llama. Maybe it’s my age, maybe it’s that I don’t use or appreciate the language used, or that the “romantic” scenes were way overdone and were really the focus of the entire book. The book seemed to be set up to read as a diary of sorts and at times I felt that vibe. Other times it seemed all over the place in terms of structure. I found Sophie to be way too immature and the matchup between her and Gil was almost comical at times to me. His family was a mess, but so was her’s as well. I guess I expected something with a little more sustenance to it.

I do think that those who enjoy reading social media posts and those who get wrapped up in the world of entertainment would find this book enjoyable. Maybe those of a younger mindset as well, although I’m sure that others could also find it enjoyable. Had I personally read this as a teenager/early 20’s, I’m sure my outlook would have been much different.

Call Of The Alpha (Powder River Pack Book 2) by Brooke May – Review by Karyn Taylor

Call of the Alpha (The Powder River Pack #2)Call of the Alpha by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in a great paranormal romance series. As much as I enjoyed the first book in the series, this one is even better. I loved Mason and Rylie’s story. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone but I’d advise reading the whole series, in order, to get the most out of it. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
One of my favourite tropes has to be single dads. In my experience of reading many, many books, single dads are usually awesome dads with fantastic relationships with their kids. I could have spent hours reading about Mason and his little boy/werewolf Archer. Archer is absolutely adorable and he totally stole my heart. The final chapter, which is told from Archer’s POV just pulls on the heartstrings. I also loved reading his growing relationship with Rylie as she and Mason progress through their relationship.
This book is quite a bit longer than the first book in the series and I’m so glad that I got more of Mason, Rylie and Archer is I was really enthralled by their story.
One thing that I really want now is Mason’s brother Miles’ story. I really need to know what’s going on with him and Alexa.
100% recommend this book.

Deacon Saint

My father told me once that anything that gets your blood racing is worth the risk doing. I didn’t factor in that I have to face the tragic loss of my best friend, discover that my mother has Alzheimer and come face to face with a girl who broke my heart all those years ago.

Yet, coming back to my hometown in Tennessee—after being gone for ten years—leaving behind a racing career in the MotoGP world, I’d have to deal with the trials set before me in this small town. I’d rather take on the track, lose skin, break bones, and tear muscle than to make the decision that’ll change my life forever.

Olivia Bane

I thought my life is perfect. Working as a nurse, a boyfriend who’s a doctor, and friends I cherish dearly. Then, the second Deacon Saint comes back home, my ideal life shifts to utter chaos. My boyfriend turns out to be a jerk, I almost lose my job and I’m faced with losing my heart again to the man that broke into the first place.

Deacon shattered me before he left our town and now he thinks it’s water under the bridge and is determined to reclaim my heart. It’s going to take more than sweet talkin’, fast motorcycles, and good old Southern country charm to win me back.

I loved reading this sweet romance story. This is one of my favorites by this author. I have loved reading this author from the first book I picked up by her. She pulls you into her stories by her great writing skills as well as her attention to details. She pulls you into the story from the beginning. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is shorter but it packs a punch for sure. A story about a sweet romance between two people who are searching for love. They won’t see what fate has in store for them until it hits them. The characters are connectable and have great growth throughout the story. I also enjoyed their chemistry which made me laugh in parts. This is an easy and entertaining story that is worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Sugar, spice and everything nice
Book 3 of the series and we have Mason and Rhyann’s story. I loved the previous Titan’s books and have been patiently waiting for this instalment. I devoured it. There was the right balance of emotional drama, sexy times and storyline to keep my glued right until the end. The characters are well developed and there was a natural flow – the relationships did not feel forced. Each of the books in the series can be read as a stand-alone even though there are crossovers from each book. But, there is information in each book that gives more depth to each book. Now to wait for the next book.

This was a book by a new author to me. I thought she did a really great job with this book. I did find the first couple of chapters to be a little slow, but once I got past that I couldn’t put it down. My emotions were conflicted while reading this book but in the end all that took place in the story was perfect for the ending. This was filled with romance, major bumps in the road, and a lot of humor. I found myself really rooting for the characters in the end. I wasn’t disappointed with this read and look forward to reading the next installment in the series.

I enjoyed this science fiction story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by this author yet. This is a well written story about Arkon and Vanessa. They both have a past that has burned them and deserve another chance at love. One a skilled warrior and the other a great chef. Will fate cook up some romance for these two? I enjoyed these two characters. They pulled me into the story and kept me engaged to the end. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. They are connectable and have great growth throughout. I also enjoyed their chemistry and what they brought to the story. This is a fast paced shorter story that is so worth the pick up. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

This is the third book of the Titans of Manhattan series, and can be read as a standalone; although I highly recommend reading the first two (they’re great). This is Mason and Ryann’s story, and it’s a wonderful story! I adore all of the characters in this whole series, but I absolutely love Mason and Ryann. The author does such a beautiful job writing about difficult subjects. I’m so glad Ryann’s character was written the way she was; she is strong and fierce yet vulnerable. And Mason… he’s perfect in so many ways. This book is awesome. It has a great flow, keeps you wanting more, has perfect characters, and the chemistry of the characters is off the charts HOT!

For anyone who enjoys “fated mate” werewolf books, this is a REALLY good one! Even though it follows that pretty common theme, it still manages to be engaging and interesting. There are twists and turns and plenty of steamy romance. Highly recommended, and while it can be read on its own, I would suggest reading the other books so you get to know all the characters better. I think this might be the best one of the series!

Grace and Ian took me places I was not ready to go! I cried and cried and of course I also swooned, laughed, and felt every emotion each step of the way with these two. This was truly a story of 2 people needing each other and coming together at the right time unexpectedly. The way the pieces came together blindsided me. The mystery surrounding them both and the relationship that developed unfolded beautifully. This author stole my heart with this book, and I am so happy I was along for Grace and Ian’s journey.

This is my first book from this author and I’ll definitely look for more. Now honestly I did find I had a bit of a tough time really sinking into Sophie and Gil’s story. I just didn’t feel that strong pull. But if given the chance I think you’ll find it’s a good story even if it’s a bit slow on the start. I definitely laughed and did enjoy the storyline. Just give it a chance it does get better not that the beginning is bad it just felt a little slower in my view. I am definitely excited to see what other books this author has to offer. Four stars and definitely recommended!

I really enjoyed this story and this wonderful author. I had not read the previous books in the series, but I most certainly am going to now. It was a quick read, with a lot of emotions and action for me. The characters were impossible to love. I found there was never a dull moment.

I personally enjoyed the tender moments between Arkon and Vanessa. Both had something hidden within that needed some healing. Their moments together really brought the story to a different perspective than what I expected. I did find there was more to them than met the eyes at first glance, and I really loved that. I loved the outside factors that made this story take flight as well. I found one ting led to another and it was a good paced book. Really enjoyed it and will be reading the others as well.

Wonderful read with a engaging story line and great characters. I highly recommend this author and this book for sure. it was beyond amazing. I highly recommend! It is well worth a read!

This was such a delightful read. i t had tender moments, and wonderful characters development. I smiled a lot as as I read on through. I really enjoyed the story and the wonderful characters. I was very lucky to come across this book and enjoy reading it. I do say it is a quick but fun read.

They say opposites attract, do they not? I found this was the case with this story. Two very different souls, basically night and day, that might have something so good and real, that pure luck could be doing its spell, but at the same time, sometimes the heart just knows! I loved reading this sweet story, The character development as well as opening hearts was defiantly three. It did not take me long before I finished the book I had a fun time, and it is one that made me feel happy as I read. Loved it!

Quick and fun read, with diverse moments of happiness and cuteness as well. I found the characters had their own sense of quirkiness as well. It was a cute read and I do highly recommend this book!

While this is a companion book it is just as good as the first book. While I have never read anything from this author and this trope isn’t normally my thing, this one took me by surprise. There is plenty of romance, chemistry, and of course drama. So much in fact that sometimes you forget that our main characters are student and teacher. The plot was interesting, the word building was beautiful, and all in all everything flowed together pretty perfectly. So if your looking for a short book to get you out of a reading slump or a short book to get you to the weekend make sure you pick this one up today.

Divine Vintage by Sandra L. Young – Review by Santana Hicks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tess loves vintage clothing, so much so that she spent most of her savings to open up a vintage clothing store in a small town. One day, a woman by the name of Esther, comes into the store and invites Tess to model some of her relatives vintage clothing. Once Tess was wearing the gown, she was flung back into time VIA a vision of the previous owner, Phoebe. The tale is said that the husband killed his wife and then himself. Tess feels as if there is more to the story.

Trey, who is a relative of Edward (Phoebe’s husband), is skeptical of the whole thing. After some convincing he joins Tess on her mission to clear his relatives name. As more visions surface, more suspects surface as well.

Tess and Trey spend more and more time together and as time goes on, they start to develop feelings but with everything else that is going on, they can’t tell if the feelings are real or somehow influenced by the visions.

Join the couple in discovering the truth of a century old murder. The author had a wonderful idea when they thought of this book. I loved the concept. My only issue is the way people conversed in this book. It was stiff in my opinion. Other than that, it’s a great book.

Checking Boxes is a Contemporary Romance with just the right amount of suspense. I honestly wasn’t expecting what I just devoured. What I got was one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride that had my emotions all over the place. This is a fairly new author to me and I will say this I’m a fan and can’t wait to see what other books they have written. This is definitely one of those books that you will not be able to put down. The style of writing drew me in from the beginning and kept ahold way past the end. The characters are simply amazing and everything flowed so nicely. This is Ian and Grace’s story. She finds herself in a situation where she needs to move as soon as possible. She answers a ad for a roommate from her neighbor Ian. The catch is for rent she only has to cook for him. Sounds great right? There is definitely chemistry between them. Ian has a secret one he’s trying to keep hidden. What will happen when the secret is out? What does the future look like for these two? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love series reads and I love when they get more intricate along the way! The Soul Connections series is getting larger and adding more mysteries and I’m so happy!! 😃 I do not believe the other three books needs to be read in order to comprehend this story since there are well informed snippets of background throughout this book as we follow along with Russ McReady and the new voice in his head. You’ll most likely love the characters so much you’ll end up reading the other three books for insight and sheer desire for another heart felt adventure. It amazes me how wholesome certain people are and how conceptuly twisted others can be.
I had a hard time putting this book down. Reading about how far people go for people they love lightens my spirit. I cannot wait to read about the next problem to solve and learning more about the mysterious Redemption Zone.

The Thunderbird Academy Trilogy by Valia Lind – Review by Megan Watson

The Thunderbird Academy TrilogyThe Thunderbird Academy Trilogy by Valia Lind
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Thunderbird Acadamy trilogy picks up after the Hawthorne Chronicles. While, there are many references to past events, and things would make more sense if the other 4 books were read, I fared well jumping directly into this trilogy.
Maddie Hawthorne comes from a powerfully prestigious family and already feels the pressure of her legacy as the world is threatened by a very old and powerful source known as The Ancients. Thunderbird Academy is the safest place for her to complete her second year of highschool and one of the best places find research to find a way to stop The Ancients and find her missing father.
Aiden Lawson is an alpha werewolf attending Thunderbird Academy and appears to hate Maddie for no reason known to her. Her understanding of his feelings as well as her own become more confusing when they’re paired up as sparring partners and his touch on her skin makes her feel things she’s never experienced before. Between The Ancients, homework, her missing father and boy problems – Maddie struggles to find her way and herself.
This box set read like 1 big book and I really enjoyed it. The cliff hanger endings would have definitely made me restless and I cannot deny that I like big books. I had a really fun time with this read and am very interested in getting to know the Hawthornes a little better by reading the first trilogy.

What a wonderful story. It filled me with happiness and fun. I liked Macy and how strong she becomes. Brandons life is a struggle he has to overcome to be happy. They both grow and change as the story progresses.

I enjoyed getting to see the rest of the pack and how they are coming along. The thing to remember is some of the events take at the same time as other books. This threw me off more than once.

Overall this book kept me turning the pages wondering what was going to happen next. I look forward to more. The title of this one is perfect in more ways than one for this story.
