Forever is the ninth book in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson and the last book in the series. This is the first book I have read of Ivy’s, and I apparently started at the end of the series so now I must go back and start at the beginning. But I do not consider it a hardship. Nope, who doesn’t like to read some hot and steamy romps with hot and sexy men and sassy women. Club Solitaire is a BDSM club that these men started. Each character has a story outside and inside of the club and their own book, but they all interlink and are involved with each story. Make sure you start with book 1 to read more about these Doms and their submissive.

Wrong For Him is the third book in the Love Lottery series by Christi Barth. This isn’t my first read from Ms. Barth- but it turned out to be my favourite (so far). I have come into this series at the back end, woops- something I do quite regularly, lol. Again, I was caught up by the blurb and failed to notice that it was the third and final book in the series. But, having said that, I never felt as though I was missing anything by not having read the other instalments first. Although now my curiosity has bee piqued, and having enjoyed this book, I will definitely be grabbing a copy of the other two books to read too. I have to admit though that the story was just a little slow to get going and it did take me a little while to ‘get into’ and connect with the characters- but once I did, the story took off. This is a bit of a mix of romance ‘tropes’- as there is a friends to lovers, brother’s best friend, and secret romance/relationship blend happening here. This combination worked really well and I loved the added angst, drama, and emotion that this recipe brought to the table. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for Ms Barth’s next book release to jump into…

The Bastard Prince is the second book in the ‘It’s Raining Royals’ series by Alix Nichols. This is the second book in the series, and I really recommend reading the first book before starting on this one, as even though each book focuses on a different ‘couple’- there is an overarching story which connects the instalments. I reallly liked the first book- but have enjoyed this one even more. As with the first book, this is a romantic comedy- with a little angst, drama, adventure, and intrigue. The story continues the quest for the keys to saving the (secret) kingdom- and I happily set off on the adventure alongside the characters. It is another light-hearted and fun read that really captured my imagination… Looking forward to Book #3!

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski starts off slow but builds up steam. There is so much detail written into the storyline I feel like I know what it is like to work on a horse ranch in Wyoming. The emotions of Rhett and Cassandra come across so strongly that I could feel myself getting frustrated or yearning for something to happen just like the characters were. This book does a wonderful job illustrating that things are not always what they seem. This felt like the beginning of a story that needs a series to continue expanding on all of the different characters and their relationship to one another.

How is it possible book 2 kept me on the edge of my seat just as much if not more than book 1! You don’t have to read book 1 first but I highly recommend it to get a better background. I still really like Donovan’s character and really take a liking to Marilyn. This story took a few turns I was not expecting. I was so eager to read book 2 I started it and finished it in the same day! I had to know what happened with the Vampire Coalition. I will definitely be looking at more of Seelie Kay’s books!

Forever is the ninth book in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson. I seem to have a habit of jumping into a series a bit backwards as when I started this book, I hadn’t noticed that it was the ninth, and final, book in the series. I was taken in by the intriguing blurb, one-clicking and diving in before I realised that I was coming in at the wrong end lol. So, having said that, I really recommend reading this series from the beginning, to get the full information package of character introductions, as well as the bridging ‘mystery’ that spans the series, and the other intriguing details that I am sure would enhance your reading experience even more. This is a contemporary romance with a sexy and erotic storyline that set my kindle on fire. The story is not for the faint of heart though- as it has some reallly intense BDSM scenes that may be too much for some readers. But, there is more to the story than just the sizzle and steam- there is mystery, tension, suspense, danger, adventure, action, and plenty of dramatic developments that had me flipping the pages to find out what happens next. I couldn’t put it down, reading the entire book in one session…… what a ride! Even though I have come in at the end and have witnessed all the threads being tied up, I will definitely be going back to the beginning and reading the series as a whole to find out what played out previously. I am also adding Ms. Nelson to my ‘must read’ authors list.

Romantic stand-alone with heat! This was a fun and steamy read. Tanner and Kayla are well developed characters with a depth that is easily relatable. There’s is a quick connection but takes its time to become more and not without their share of issues. I really enjoyed the writing and storyline and totally recommend for romance lovers.
Leave the best for last! Wow! The author really knows how to bring a series together. This book brings all of the crew (family) together in a brilliant finale. Russell and Gemma are very strong characters and their ‘play’ walks a very fine line. One slip and it could be considered abuse. The writing is very clear that all parts are consensual though and the author balances the scenes with gentle moments. There is action, drama, self-discovery and lots of sexy scenes. I highly recommend this book and the whole series – it will not disappoint.

Love’s Refrain was such a good read! I was blown away by the time I got to the end of this book! I will admit at the beginning, I was feeling very iffy with the storyline and it seemed very strange to me, but as I kept reading I was completely enraptured and entranced. This was such a beautiful story the author told. I know the author says it’s based on around a movie or inspired by a movie, but I have never seen the movie so I was completely surprised at the storyline of this book. I cried while reading. It was so heartbreaking and so romantic it completely took me through the wringer of emotions. I’m so glad there’s going to be a sequel featuring Kat and Phillip!

This is a book of second chances, a contemporary romance which celebrates growth, love and loss in a relationship. After 5 years of break up, Cassandra and Rhett come face to face with each other, Cassandra wanting to give it a second shot and Rhett blaming her for breaking the relationship. Rhett has too much on his hands and the hurt and anger he feels towards her is understandable. How the two characters mature, understand each other and let the hard feelings go forms the central piece of this beautiful romance. I especially liked the way the two lead characters are portrayed, their hurt, their anguish and eventually the growth. It is a gradual process. I enjoyed this romance, it was a good read.

This story made my Monday night well worth the late hours I stayed up to read. Seelie Kay brings us the 2nd story in the series, and this one was even better than the first. We continue book 2 in the series with the charming Donovan Trait in addition to newly turned lovely bride Shirley (yup the judge!). This time around we get more in depth with our characters and learn more about their love. Per stipulations from the Vampire Coalition to be married/together Shirley must be turned and any offspring or potential births prior to conception are to be determined and monitored by the vampire scientists. With no surprise given Donovan’s sexual nature Shirley is already pregnant and they have violated the agreement. As we continue their story they are now on the run to save their family and find a way to show the Vampire Coalition that the old ways are not going to work in this modern world and Donovan’s willing to go to any lengths for his family.

What the heck. Wow-what a page-turning thriller! I don’t usually crime books but sprinkle some romance and a super good-looking detective and I’m hooked. Not to give away the book but the first change messed me up, I haven’t stopped reading and gone to bed mad since the last Harry Potter book when I was a kid. I came back to the book the following night and I’m so glad I did but I was kept on my toes, to say the least. The characters were beautifully presented and described. I can’t wait to read the second book I hope the author keeps writing more of this story.

Donovan is a vampire lawyer who finds his match in Judge Shirley. They fall for each other and in order to be together they agree to have Shirley go through treatments to turn her. There is something else they have to agree to as well but they get an unexpected surprise on their wedding day.
This is where the story really takes off and the Vampire Coalition are furious with them. What will happen if the coalition captures them? Will they get a HEA?
Overall this was a great read, we get suspense, action, and so much more. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. I really liked Donovan and Shirley and the author does a great job of writing this story. I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today.

Seelie Kay knows how to tell a story! This story is original, funny, and unpredictable. Its my first time exploring one of her books, and I picked a great one to start! We are introduced to Donovan Trait who is a Vampire, lawyer, and Alpha to the extreme. An expert and legend both in and out of the courtroom which may due to his 300 years of existence. Donovan himself could charm the blood straight from your body. When lawyers start to become targets for a murder Donovan is high on that list, but what happens when you can’t kill a vampire? While he can handle his own he still has fears for his lady love who is a Judge, human, and as big a target as himself. He and his team work around the clock for answers as time continues to run out. A very interesting game of cat and mouse and by no means your typical Vampire book.

Love’s Refrain is one of the most interesting and addicting love stories that I have ever read. Ms. Fletcher gives us incredible characters and an incredible romance that doesn’t just face all of the normal obstacles of life but it transcends death and time. I loved this story so much that I wanted to speed read it, but I forced myself to slow down and really enjoy all of the tony details and the change back in forth from 1947 to present day. Trust me when I say that Love’s Refrain is unlike any other romance you have ever read, and if you need a good romance for this weekend I personally highly recommend.

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski is one of the best romances that I have read in a long time. Ms. Lewandowski’s characters are amazing from the rugged, handsome, over protective cowboy to the seductive, feisty, and demanding cowgirl he loves. It’s been a long time since Rhett has seen Casandra will Cassandra be able to convince him that she’s different then she used to be? Or will Rhett keep his distance and shun her? But what really set this apart for me was the horse ranch, and her use of descriptive details for all of the horses. Personally I love romance stories but throw horses in and that just makes it that much better for me. So if your looking for a great quick weekend read then I highly recommend Saratoga Roan.

I just am loving this series!! I enjoy Author Seelie Kay’s book and this second book to the series did not disappoint!! I recommend reading the first book in this series before reading book two for sure. Donovan Trait is a lawyer whom also is a vampire….who loves Shirley Magnusen, whom is a judge. Donovan and Shirley are to be married..of course there are conditions to the marriage when it comes to having children (since Donovan is a vampire already and Shirley is going to turn)….but things get a bit challenging when Donovan and Shirley learn that Shirley is pregnant and this does not sit well with the Vampire Coalition. Donovan and Shirley flee to protect their unborn baby. I just love this book…and you really want to cheer on Donovan and Shirley. Of course need I say I want more of this series!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Seelie Kay is at it again with the second book in the Donovan Trait Series, Ye Gods! The Law is an Ass. It continues pretty much where book one left off. With the title as is I wasn’t sure what to expect. Donovan and Shirley are due to be wed in the human world, as well as a Vampire Wedding for the Vampire Coalition. Being a human and vampire joining the Coalition granted the union under 2 conditions. 1 Shirley had to agree to become a vampire, via forced turning. 2 Donovan and Shirley had to agree to let the Coalition control and viable embryos or future pregnancies she has, including conception. Little did they know at the time they were in for a whirlwind adventure to keep themselves and their family safe. I enjoyed where Seelie Kay took book 2. I loved digging deeper into these 2 characters and who they are as individuals and to one another. I felt this book was a great progression and even though it says book 2 of 2, I feel it was left open for a potential book 3. I need more Donovan Trait in my life!

The Law is an Ass! (Donovan Trait Book 2) by Seelie Kay – Review by Beverly Finnie
Seelie Kay wrote an interesting story with First We Kill All the Lawyers. I’m obsessed with everything vampire, so I couldn’t resist jumping into this book. I loved it! Vampires, murder, humor, oh my! Donovan is intriguing, a 300+ year old vampire turned lawyer for the little guy in the human world. Unfortunately for him, someone tried to kill him twice. Not realizing it wouldn’t be as easy as she assumed it would be. Shirley Magnusen, a judge in the Chicago Courts circuit also becomes a victim when an attempt by the same person is made on her life. She’s also in love with Donovan. This story explores the trials and tribulations of trying to find this person who is killing lawyers and threatening their lives. Not your typical go round with vampire fiction. The vampires don’t feed on humans, they evolved to be able to tolerate the sun. Some have even had children. It’s an interesting take on an area of fiction that has evolved rapidly over the past 25 years. Which I love and accept who heartedly. If Vampires are your thing, I beg you to take a gander for yourself. I’m sure it will be intriguing!

The Bow is the third book in the Her Three Immortals series. I highly recommend reading the first two books before you delve into this one, otherwise you will likely be lost on what is happening. This book is not a hard cliffhanger, but there are parts of the story that are left open for the next book to address.
I enjoyed this story. Where the first two books focused mainly on Vanessa’s relationship with Raef and Grey, this book is focused on Aroz. I’m not going to go into details or it will give away the twist, but there is a bit of suspense and danger as you go through the story, because a pissed off Queen of the Underworld isn’t a good thing, lol. There were a couple of descriptions during the intimate scenes that struck me as a little corny, but overall, it’s a great read.
I can’t wait to see how Vanessa and her guys handle the mothers as the story continues in the next book.

Debbie Zello has crafted an amazing tale full of layers and intrigue.. each time I thought I had all the ends wrapped up the story would take another turn! Get ready to cheer on our hero, detective Gavin McLeod, as he tries to keep fact and fiction straight. Recurring crime scene dreams lead him on quite the man hunt! With well developed characters, believable steamy scenes and a fabulous storyline, you won’t want to put this one down.

THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Allyson Ware
Queen of the Underworld needs to simmer herself down. I dislike her almost as much if not more than I dislike Professor Umbridge in Harry Potter. She may even be worse than taking a trip to Tartarus.
Once again, I could not put this book down and I cannot wait to jump into the next. Halfway through this book it was brought up again that Vanessa used to be a hairdresser. That feels like an ETERNITY ago. I completely forgot about it and the fact that Ms. Underworld was responsible for destroying her career. I’m going to do my best to take my time reading the next book because I do not want this series to end!

The Law is an Ass! (Donovan Trait Book 2) by Seelie Kay – Review by Felicia Bates
I enjoyed this romance story. This is a new series and author for me which I look forward to going back to read more from this author and this series. This is a well written story that the author’s use of details made the story realistic. The characters are connectable and bring so much to the story. They truly made the story for me. This is a fast paced romance story about Russell and Gemma. Russell has one responsibility at the moment and that is to keep Holly and Gemma safe. The problem comes in when Gemma is a pain for him on top of that she is gorgeous. Will he give in to the irresistible Gemma and lose focus on his responsibility? I enjoyed the growth throughout this story. The chemistry between Russell and Gemma is great and just made the story entertaining to read. This is a great story which I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this book. I guess it’s because I am a sucker for YA romance. I love how it’s about an ordinary girl and a rich guy fall in love. Usually this doesn’t happen in real life. It made me so happy!

Lawyer Donovan Trait and Judge Shirley Magnusen are back and it is the day before their wedding, Donovan is doing his usual as he pursues a case for those who cannot represent themselves and is filling the courtroom with his usual pizazz, so as he has an early finish, he decides to visit his bride to be while she is on a break. He asks her why she hasn’t taken the day off to prepare for the wedding, she responds that his mother has helped with it all, but that the minister is flapping a bit and that he should call him, but soon Donovan is his usual irresistible self and she is totally swayed by it, at least until she is called away.
As the day of the wedding dawns, Shirley is getting ready and is thinking about her turning, about what it will mean for her future and how happy she is with the whole situation, apart from maybe the press and paparazzi who will be waiting outside. They next head to meet with the Vampire Council so that they can give their final blessing to their union, but Shirley is feeling a little light headed and nauseous, but she just puts it down to wedding jitters, what with all the pomp and ceremony, however, she has to have a health appointment just in case it is to do with her turning, but what the results reveal to Donovan is about to change their lives again. It turns out that Shirley is pregnant and as much as they want to shout it from the rooftops, they decide to keep the news quiet until after the ceremony, which they immediately regret when they are called before the Council for a trial.
The opening statements are made, the evidence is presented, as well as the reasoning behind why this isn’t a breach of the marital agreement they made, however, the Council has other ideas and they deem the Traits as guilty of breaching their marital agreement and as such drastic punishment must be meted out, instead, the Traits flee and make their way to an island run by Vampire Nuns, but will they be able to keep out of reach of the Vampire Council, or will their growing family be torn apart before they even have a chance to live? This is a paranormal romance with an edge of danger and rebellion as you travel along the path the Traits are forging to reach calm waters and the safety they crave.
