Oh. My. Goodness. That was a whirlwind to read. Hawke just made me want to hug and smack him all at the same time. He is a broken Dom that doesn’t know what he needs or wants. He is so afraid of his demons overcoming him. I adore Charlotte. I just love how she stands up against Hawke when she needs to and fights for them. This has so much to enjoy. This is a Erotic thriller and It will definitely have you on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait to read the next book!!

We start off this book right where we ended book one – which is HUGE for me as a reader. There is no backtracking or second-guessing a scene that we may have missed. Vanessa is acclimating to the afterlife and being stuck in Grey’s top-floor penthouse. She meets Gorgonita who is her ticket to keeping track of her family and how they are doing after her death. She meets PK, who could LITERALLY eat anyone out of house and home, but seems so adorable I don’t think that I would mind. Add in the surprise elements of Aroz, a long-lost soul, and some family reunions, and this book was EVERYTHING I didn’t know that I needed. I cannot wait for Hazel’s next installment for this series.

Master Tuscano is the second book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. This is a delicious paranormal romance- with a bit of a dark tone, vampires, shifters, witches, revenge, an underworld society, politics, supernatural elements, drama, danger, agendas, action, adventure, emotion, tension, chemistry, and sizzling hot details. After reading the first book and loving what I discovered, I really couldn’t wait to dive into this book. I jumped right in and devoured every word in my lunch break. Sylvia Black has definitely gained a stalker, um, I mean a fan, yes, a fan who has developed a bit of an addiction to her fantastic stories! I need another fix, STAT- so I am really excited to find that there are 12 books planned for this series! Colour me happy! Bring on book #3!!!

An Enduring Love by Wareeze Woodson is an historical romance packed full of so much drama and angst it gave me a headache reading it. I have to be honest here, this book frustrated me to death. It had so much potential. But Rhys ruined it lol…. I hated Rhys with a passion and just wanted to throttle home the whole way through the book. He was just such a jerk, so cruel to Rebecca- and quite unnecessarily so!! The push-pull gave me whiplash, and there was so much manufactured drama and contradictions that I really did have to force myself to keep reading. I have enjoyed the other books of Ms. Woodson’s that I have read previously, so I was hoping the whole way through the story that Rhys would redeem himself- but in the end he didn’t, and the little he did do was too little too late. I found the story hard to get into and couldn’t connect with the characters at all. I did feel sorry for Rebecca and all she went through- but I thought she could have done so much better than Rhys! On to Wareeze Woodson’s next book. Stay tuned.

Hold Me Forever is the third book in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. This series took me by surprise back in book one- I really wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. Considering that we met the MC’s in this book in the previous book/s (where they were supporting characters), and the fact that I really loved the first two instalments meant that I had high expectations for this book. So, after devouring it in one sitting, I am happy to say that it was even better than I had hoped for. It is a contemporary, small-town, second chance romance, with plenty of sizzling chemistry, steamy scenes, drama, angst, and some wonderfully quirky, interesting and endearing characters. Even though this could be read as a standalone, as each instalment focuses on one particular couple, I really recommend reading the first two books before starting on this one- as having a cast of recurring characters who appear in each instalment, means there are plenty of interesting details contained in the previous instalments which are really worth knowing, as I feel that would enhance your reading experience of this book. I had already loved Hunter from the previous books, and I was quite intrigued by Lark and wanted to know so much more about her as I found her a little mysterious (in previous books). So it was really great to finally get to know her better, and also see what these two had in store for themselves. Lark and Hunter have a bit of a complicated past- and have been apart for 6 years. But the spark between them still burns- and it doesn’t take much to rekindle it into a fiery blaze. What happens between the local town sheriff and the quirky, free spirited artist? This is definitely worth the read to discover all the wonderful details for yourself. I really hope this isn’t the last we will see of Heron Harbor. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Nolan does next.

I had already enjoyed the previous books in this series; So I was ready to see where Renee would take me in this story. Carter and Vanessa were cute as can be. I loved that Vanessa gave Carter a run for his money. I loved that she didn’t give in no matter how hot she was for him. I loved watching their relationship play out as they got to know each other. This book was fun to read and I did enjoy it. Definitely a worthy quick read.

Hawke by Anise Storm is the first book in the Men of Syn series. I took a chance on a subject I’m not too familiar with but I’m glad I did. This story leads you into the BDSM lifestyle and how love can be found within. I really enjoyed the character of Hawke and uncovering how he became the dominant. He is a broken soul who feels he is undeserving of good and love in the world. Charlotte was only a decent character. I found her to be a bit too “bad things happen to me too” type of persona and just did not vibe with her rich girl ways. She was a bit needy in my opinion but maybe that is why she makes a good submissive. The story itself was fun to read but the suspense thrown into the mix came late into the storyline and didn’t really make a huge impact on the overall love story. Overall, very satisfied with this read.

Vanessa Maan is dead and at twenty four, that is pretty young, but she did it with good intentions, she sold her soul to Grey, the Don of the Underworld so that her brother could survive, a contract she sealed with a steamy kiss in the hospital car park, but when they come up for air, they are both in Grey’s apartment and are covered in gold dust, neither of them can understand why she was judged and sent there, but Grey is the most shocked of all, but that makes his mood terrible and he is more grouchy than usual. As they keep to their thoughts, Vanessa asks to see her brother to make sure that Grey held up his half of the deal, this is where she is handed a mirror with a lady’s face on the front, plus a lot of snakes for hair, he explains how to use it and then abruptly tells her to wash off the gold dust and to leave his penthouse before storming off to complete some business, Vanessa is taken aback by his rudeness, but isn’t overly surprised about it either, so she takes a look around the penthouse looking for the shower. While she is doing this, she notices that everything is in shades of grey, including her, so when the mirror starts a conversation about it’s capabilities and as the conversation flows between them, Vanessa finds out that she is called Gorgonita and that she was cursed by the Gods into her current form, Vanessa finds that they get on well too and it is nice that there is someone she can talk to in her current predicament, Gorgonita also explains briefly about the reason behind all the grey and would you believe it, it is because of Grey.
When she eventually finds the bathroom, she works out to use the shower and while she is in there, she has a visitation from another God who uses the dust to make his presence known and felt, as he does this, Vanessa is told that she can bring the colour back to the Underworld and she starts this with herself, once she is all dust free and feeling a little better about things, she goes for a nap after talking to Gorgonita, but just as she is about to lie down, the pillow under her head starts to purr, this freaks her out a little, especially when it unrolls itself and starts to eat the furnishings and saying that it is hungry. As Vanessa and Gorgonita try to figure out why it is here and why it is so big, Gorgonita reveals that she can order room service, so she does this and feeds the hungry caterpillar its usual fare, all after bringing its colour back. The caterpillar curls up on the sofa when it is done and Vanessa decides to do the same, however, she is happy to find that Raef joins her in her dreams just like before and the next day, she feeds her caterpillar and decides to head out and explore Elysium, however, when the Elevator won’t let her out, she is stumped, so decides to do a bit more research and discover as much as she can about her situation and why she is in the top level of the highest building there.
Meanwhile, Grey is back in the Overworld and carrying on his soul gathering, but leaving Vanessa is something he didn’t think would affect him this much and he doesn’t want to think about what the consequences of this may be, or to think of her at all, he is a God after all and has been strong for two hundred year, why should now be an issues? As both Vanessa and Grey try to figure out what is going on separately and Vanessa tries to navigate her new world and all its quirks, why is life so complicated after death, surely it should be easier than this? This is a paranormal romance with a twist where things are not as they seem and temptation lies around every corner.

Definitely a swoon worthy book and I loved it. Lark comes back to Heron Harbor for her sisters upcoming wedding with her RV “Minnie” and upon arrival Minnie dies. In comes Hunter McMullen, the Heron Harbor chief of police and Lark is face to face with the man she left go the day before they were going to elope years ago. When Lark’s sister Wren and her fiancee Smith need full help on planning their upcoming wedding due to work commitments, they put Lark and Hunter together to save their day. In the story you really feel the love between Lark and Hunter even years later after Lark hurt Hunter. Will Lark and Hunter overcome the past and be together at last? Definitely read the book and find out. This book is totally worth the time to sit back and relax and read. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read.

The God is the second installment of Her Three Immortals by Hazel Storm and I loved it just as much as I loved the first installment. Once again we are thrown straight into a wonderful story, with a great plot line, and fantastic characters. This particular tale is told from multiple points of view, making the story all the more intriguing. While this paranormal romance has me biting at the bit to read the final installment in the series this one was definitely worth waiting for. So if your looking for a great new series to read then I highly recommend this one.

Vanessa is back, along with Grey, Raef, Aroz and a colorful cast of characters. Vanessa gave her soul to Grey in order to save Piper from Cancer. Now Vanessa is causing a little change and problems in Elysium/the Underworld. Hazel Storm has done it again. She has continued again the wonderfully funny story that leaves you chuckling as you follow the misadventures of Vanessa trying to adjust to her new “life.” A little steamy romance thrown in is awesome too. The repartee among all the players just flows smooth. The POV chapters run like a river back and forth. I highly recommend this book.

Chloe learns to navigate a relationship and helps her friends out with day to day struggles. Opinion This book is a sweet romance. I would have no issues putting it in the hands of my teenaged daughter (if only I could get her to read romance.) There is a definite slow burn to the whole book that keeps the reader anticipating the next move. While the book was a bit slow for me, I definitely see the allure for readers who like a slower, sweeter romance.

This is the third book in this series which I enjoyed from beginning to end. This is a newer author for me, I look forward to going back to read the previous books in this series. This is a well written romance story that will show you what happens when you have a past that has caused you to shield your heart from hurt. The characters are relatable and I really enjoyed them. They brought the story to life and are written with a lot of heart. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by them from the first word. Lark is determined to protect her heart from getting hurt so she doesn’t need anything but her art. Hunter is the chief of police but is missing something in his life, someone to love. These two meet at a wedding they are both in but something sparks with them. Will Hunter be able to convince Lark to give him a chance? I enjoyed their growth throughout the story and their chemistry is great. They made the story for me and I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a light hearted read. It had parts which make you laugh so loud. The characters are well written. Sheldon is a player who knows what he’s good at( between the sheets) and what he’s not( sustaining a relationship). Simone is a very driven and focused woman. Her passion and energy goes onto her rescue of the big cats. She doesn’t have time for relationships or distractions.
So just imagine the fun and the twists when the Player vet (Sheldon) gets sent to help the highly driven Simone. Will the Player finally find a relationship worth fighting for? Will Sheldon be able to turn Simone’s focus onto something other than fundraising? Will this chance encounter between them become something special or a disaster waiting to happen.

For me, it was nearly impossible not to fall in love with the book as well as the plot and the character it contained! Also the characters all bought a certain appeal, be it wit or sex appeal or basically a sense of humor I was truly hooked! I found this book easy to get into and go right along with the plot. It gave me points to main concepts to the first novel and it made it very easy to follow and comprehend what happened previously to where we are now and what is and was to develop.
The main two characters, Vanessa and Grey, seriously were the perfect combination of everything you would want! as if having a nice cold drink on a weekend day siting on a beach. You could take a sip, but be so intrigued you keep going back. I loved their personalities of both these characters. They both made the book so worth wile. Though, I will say the novel itself and things that happened around these characters and the others made me want to keep on reading seriously.
Vanessa, let me say in small words she was the most freaking fantastic character ever. I was filled on her previous back story, and she truly had a heart worth saving. Literally. She loved deeply, but yet she was and is not someone you want to get on the bad side of! Grey had been learning this the hard way again and again through their time together, but perhaps a man of darkness and who truly believed nothing could ever touch him…was actually doing that in the most least unexpected way?
Grey, he is in charge of the underworld. He had his wit as well we Vanessa but he was the whole attitude of this is my place, you don’t belong, I don’t need you here. Perhaps, though, things happen for a reason and there was more to the destiny for Vanessa and Grey than they both realized.. Besides they strongly disliked each other more than words could describe between the two of them.
Besides the characters and their steamy, well built, leaving you wanting more moments, I loved how the author described the details of the settings so freaking good. For example, The Underworld, the way she described it felt I was right there in the Underworld. With its pain and along and its darkness and corruption of a humans soul. It felt so real. I literally had to pick myself from reading at random times just to be clear I was just super involved in my reading.
What really fascinated me the most truly was the fact that Vanessa met so many shapes and forms of people and they truly were all different. And the relationships that grow between them all. It really was a book worth while to invest in. I was into this book I kept reading and was lost into it. When I reached the ending, I could not believe how good it was getting…let me say that cliff hanger left me hanging and wanting so much more. I truly need to know what will happen to my beloved characters that I truly have bonded with! I with strong anticipation am waiting for the next book to come released!
Again I loved this book with a fiery passion. The author truly has a great talent on how to entrain her readers and keep them wanting more. Even when us as the readers are given a lot, we keep wanting more and will not rest till we do. She wrote a wonderful series and I know she will continue to do so with an amazing plot and characters. She truly knows how to write! I am beyond words with this book. I truly loved it is an understatement. I look forward to the next in the series!

This mafia romance had me feeling so many things!! This is my first Emily Bowie book and I learned that she is a great writer. This is a story about how a mafia princess secretly falls in love with an enemy. The book takes you through the ups and downs and difficulty love can bring when it is forbidden. Throughout the book, my emotions went on a roller coaster from anger to curiosity to steamy to heartache and to love. I literally was oohing, aahhing, smiling, and crying throughout. The way she uses description had me in the mix of this mafia family. She made it suspenseful, surprising, a happy ending that didn’t come easily, and left me wanting to read the rest of her series!! It was one of those books that when I went to bed last night I dreamt about the book because I was sad it was over!

Bailey Richards is young, sweet, and on the verge of dipping his feet into a mild kink. He goes to the adult store once a week to visit the unicorn tail that he has fallen in love with and is just itching to buy. Bailey can’t walk to the back of the store without tripping over something, knocking something over, or embarrassing himself completely. Sam Thurston owns the adult store. Bailey caught his eye; he knows Bailey is old enough to be in the store as he checked his ID. Sam happens to stop at a diner for lunch and it just happens to be where Bailey works. Sam asks Bailey out and Bailey just can’t understand why Sam would want to go out with him. With Sam’s encouragement and help from the “brat brigade” Bailey not only finds friends, a lover, but more importantly; himself. I enjoyed all the characters in the book, the “brat brigade” is such a mix of personalities yet they fit so well together. Sam and Bailey each have their own insecurities but find themselves blossoming under the care of each other.

I really loved this story as Jody is not the “normal” main character. Shes got flaws and felt more like someone I would be friends with. I love this authors story telling as you get everything you need and you can just picture everything in your mind like you are there with them.

Lark Donavan is returning to the one place she really doesn’t want to go, back to Heron Harbor. Her sister is getting married, she can’t miss that! She pulls into town with Minnie, her RV, and Minnie promptly dies. The police officer that was driving by, turns around and comes back. Within minutes of returning to Heron Harbor, Lark is faced with her past in the form of Hunter McMullen. The universe throws Lark and Hunter together for the span of her time in Heron Harbor. They both still feel the love for each other that they did six years earlier. Can they get over the past hurts to find that love again? I love Lark, such a free spirit and black sheep of the family. She is faced with some truths from her past that she isn’t sure how to deal with, but with her belief in holistic healing and help from Hunter, she may just be able to find the truth that heals her heart. This was such a wonderful love story, with truths about how our family and what they say/tell us can alter how we feel about ourselves.

This was my first book by Carrie Pulkinen and my VERY first time listening to a book rather than reading it. I am content with the audio version but tend to create different voices in my head when I read. It threw me off a bit that this book would have normally taken at least half the time to read, but it helped allow me to do other things while I got to submerge myself into a paranormal-filled world. The story itself was great, the narration was well-done, and the characters’ dialogue made me laugh out loud a few times. I never knew that a reaper would want to take a vacation, nor that doing so could create such a great narrative. I loved both main characters and hope to see more of them in future books right after I go back and read the ones I missed so far!

Hmmm..I really enjoyed the heck out of this story. I guess I just wanted completion of it. It seems to have ended kinda up in the air. I enjoyed meeting Hamersveld and Fen. Very interesting and intriguing idea from them. I want to know more! Do all dragons have a little friend or just water dragons?
Overall this is a short, quick high emotion read. I really liked it and it makes me wonder about others from this author.

Fury of Conviction (dragonfly Short Story Collection #2) by Coreene Callahan was the first book by this Author that I have read and I really enjoyed it from start to finish. I truly wished there was more…that’s the sign of a good book isn’t it?
Hamersveld has a big decision to make, does he stand by the Razorbacks and their crazy idea or does he follow his own desires and seemly uncontrollable attraction to Natalie, one of the beautiful young women that they are currently holding captive. At the same time that Sveld is battling with his decision, Natalie herself is very focused on escaping and getting back to her life but when an opportunity arises can she take it and leave the gorgeous Sveld behind for good.
I can’t wait to read the next story to see if we find out not only more about Sveld and Natalie, but also the rest of the Razorbacks.

Hawke is book one in the Men of Syn series by Anise Storm. A new author to me, Anise Storm’s writing quickly became a very interesting addition to my ever expanding library. A creative and imaginative author capable of sinning a sinister and mysterious tale full of intrigue, passion and seriously hot characters. Appealing to my love for the alpha male and dominant men, Hawke ticked all the boxes and sent every single sense tingling.
The story grasped my attention instantly and had me gasping. Each character was complex, especially Hawke. Each scene well executed and thought out. Each sexy moment meant to create shortness of breath and spine tingling bliss. Not ever quite knowing what the next turn of the page would bring, this story was engaging, captivating and unforgettable. Hawke and Charlotte had history, worked their way past it and created memories and paved a new path to HEA. A thrilling read that satisfied and mesmirised. 5 stars.

Exploring the Underworld is quite an adventure for Vanessa, as she deals with Grey, her lover she left on earth, Raef, and their brother, Aroz.
Hazel Storm has done it again! This story is hot, full of steamy romance, adventure, humor, and loveable characters. The way she describes the Underworld is fantastic and is so different than what I have read before. The things that Vanessa sees, the people she meets, and the creatures she finds in the Underworld all combine to set the stage for a fantastic novel. This series is so light hearted and fun! This story was a great continuation in the series, and I can’t wait to read what happens next!

I LOVED this book so much. Fantastic read from beginning to end. If you love a enemies to lovers cozy rom com please read this book. Elle is an owner of a bakery that was her mother’s. Big shot Zane Masters owns Got Cake! and tries to buy off Elle and her bakery. Strange things start happening to Elle’s bakery like deliveries of dead fish, feeling like Zane is suspect #1 to try and run her out and Elle cannot be bought. Zane makes Elle realize he is not trying to sabotage her business and proves that to her. Elle’s long time friend, whom is more like a grandmother, then falls ill. You will learn how selfless Elle truly is. My heart on how determined she is to take care of Joyce just truly tugged at my heartstrings. This book is truly fantastic, I loved every piece of this book.
