THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Kimberly Shirah

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The God (Her Three Immortals Book Two) is the second book in Hazel Storm’s Immortals is just as good as the first. These books should be read in order. Storm has again swept us up and away into her own little world, or in this case, underworld. With a great cast of characters, you will not go wrong picking this series.

We pick up where we left off with Vanessa Maan and her three gods. Vanessa has given her soul to the Grey, the Don of the Underworld, in exchange for her brother, Piper’s, life. Now she is living in Grey’s apartment in the Underworld. No one knows why the Judges placed her here, but she has made it her mission to find out.

This book was just as fun, quick, and easy to read as the first. It again ends on a cliffhanger, which is not my favorite, but hopefully we will not have to wait too long until we receive the third.

Remember His Name (Remember My Name Series Book 2) by Laurencia Hoffman – Review by Beverly Finnie

Remember His Name (Remember My Name, #2)Remember His Name by Laurencia Hoffman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Remember His Name is book 2 in the series by Laurencia Hoffman. Her Characters and story are extremely well written. Yes this book ties into her first book Remember My Name, but I don’t feel you have to read that book as well though you SHOULD, to enjoy this one. This story does contain potential trigger warnings early on, but it’s not a theme throughout the entire book.

The book specifically focuses on Wren as an 8 year old boy to the present day, who lives the life of an empath. (Side note: For anyone who doesn’t know what an empath is, it’s someone that feeds off of other people’s energy. Which is something that could be absolutely rewarding but also weigh very heavily on them.)
We follow Wren through his emotional turmoil after his husband is murdered.

When he stumbles upon Adam his life changes, and he starts to live life again, despite knowing his fate. Adam helps him in his quest to find out who murdered his husband, before the murderer gets to them.

Does Wren find the guy who murdered his husband? Does he get the opportunity to clear his name and prove he’s a good person? All those answers and more will be found throughout your book journey with Wren. Again it’s another well written book by author Laurencia Hoffman and I encourage each and everyone of you to give it a chance. You will not be disappointed!

THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Amy Brennan

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you had of told me that I would be a huge fan of love triangle love stories, I would have called you crazy. The idea that one could love more than one person in the way that a woman loves a man, or vice versa, has always confused me. To be honest, I sat down, and finished Vanessa and Grey’s story in one day. The supporting characters have left me wanting more, and more. I have been looking forward to reading more of Hazel Storms work, and as soon as this novel popped up on my radar, I snatched it up. The way that this author grabs you and throws you right back into her characters, and this world, is astonishing! I found myself transported into the Underworld, walking around this bleak, and grey world, feeling her angst and loss when it came to those that she left behind at the end of the first novel, and couldn’t stop reading. I find that I was able to connect to the plot, and absolutely adore the way that you read from all the different characters points of view, and in turn, have a greater understanding as to how they all are pulled together. Vanessa is a very strong female character and has lost and loved more than most would her age, and I couldn’t be more vested in her story. She brings so much colour to their love story, and so much more. Bring on The Bow, I will be walking on eggshells until I get to read this next installment! Thank you, Hazel, for this amazing adventure. Well done!

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The God by Hazel Storm is the second book in Her Three Immortals series. For me this book does need to be read in order as it follows on from book one in the series and reading them both would definitely enhance your reading experience.
This book was even better than the first one. I was pulled straight back into the story and the characters without an issue and I just had to find out what was going to happen to them now.
This author has done an amazing job a creating an exciting and thrilling story, both with this book and the first. Her writing style completely fits with this type of story and she knows how to get the best out of what she is writing. I really enjoyed this book and I am excited for what is next.

An Enduring Love by Wareeze Woodson is another fantastic book by an author I am really taking to. With each book I read I think I have found the one that will be my favourite. And then I read another book of hers. I loved the story in this book. I thought it was such a well written book and I really felt like I connected with it. I was hooked on the story from page one and it lasted the whole way through.
This is still a relatively new author to me and I am really enjoyed her writing style. I get a thrill every time I start a new book of hers and I always look forward to more.
I would highly recommend not only this book but also the author to any fan of this genre.

Master Tuscano (Masters of the Consulate Book 2) by Sylvia Black – Review by Kerry Carr

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 2 in the Masters of the Consulate series. I really love these books. With their mixture of romance, danger, and supernatural beings it makes for a gripping read.

In this story we follow Christian and Delilah. After Delilah’s traumatic kidnapping she is set out for revenge against the person responsible. What happens next is a series of events which means that to save Delilah’s life Christian has to turn her into a vampire.

With the rest of the Masters of the Consulate not being happy with their relationship this added twist makes it even harder for them to be accepted by them.

Add to this upheaval the danger of not only the person responsible for Delilah’s kidnapping being on the loose but also the Syndicate that is out to destroy the peace between supernatural and humans.

Why is the Syndicate trying to destroy Lazareth when they were working in partnership? What does Lazareth know? Can Delilah prove to everyone that she is trustworthy and that she will remain by Christians side? And will their relationship even survive all this upheaval and danger?

THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Angela Hayes

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars

The God is the second addictive book in Her Three Immortals series by Hazel Storm. OMG- I am really loving this series!!! I really liked the first book, and after the way Book #1 ended, I was really excited to get my hands on this book. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed!
This book continues on from where we left off in Book One- so if you haven’t read ‘The Don’ yet, I highly recommend that you do so before starting on this story. Book One lays the foundations of the series, with character introductions and other important information that will really enhance your enjoyment of this book.
This story really ups the ante, adding more mystery and suspense into the mix. As with the first book, this is a very sexy paranormal reverse-harem romance… a wonderful fantasy with lots of originality, Greek Gods, mythology, intriguing developments, drama, passion, chemistry, sizzle, complex characters, twists, danger, and so much more- making for a very addictive read!
I have been debating whether to outline some of the story to give you a taste of what to expect, but I really don’t want to spoil anything for you- especially if you haven’t read the first book yet. But I will say that this story takes us to the Underworld- which adds even more interest to this captivating story/series. Hazel Storm’s world building is really masterful- her detailed descriptions made everything come to life and I was easily able to picture everything, so vividly.
I loved every minute of this book and am well and truly hooked- I NEED my next fix STAT!!! Like yesterday lol…. especially after the way we ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, again lol.
CAN. NOT. WAIT. for book #3!!!
Fantastic!

Thank you, Hazel Storm!

Pet Me (The Toye Shoppe Book 1) by Angelique Jurd – Review by Ashleyann Sanabria

Pet Me (The Toye Shoppe #1)Pet Me by Angelique Jurd
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Short and super cute. This story definitely has a fair amount of spice, so take note. The main character is awkward, self conscious, and quite relatable, which I adored. There is a kink in the book that I had not previously be exposed to, so it was interesting to read about. The kink plays a role in the character development, and the spice was definitely descriptive and well done. Even setting the spice and kink aside, I curled up with this book and read it in a day. I loved that there is not a focus on beautiful bodies as both protagonists are portrayed with real bodies. I do think it was just the beginning and I would love to get more of the story. There could have been more drama and plot, but as a start, I think it was very well done. Maybe I am just it big sap, or am a sucker for an LGBTQIA+ romance, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend to anyone! As long as you are comfortable with Spice and Kink, the book really is cute, quick read, and I will definitely read again. I am not sure if the author plans to make this a series, but I would love to read more!

Bared. (A Green St. Girls Romance) by N.D. Jackson – Review by Hailey Hop

Bared. (Green St. Girls #1)Bared. by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bared by N.D. Jackson hooked me in right at the beginning! We start immediately seeing Athena’s heart shattering as her best friend, Charlie, is on her death bed. My heart strings were pulled as I felt their emotions.
Athena promises to live her life to the fullest. She opens Shamrock Pool Hall and Pub and that is where she meets Tru, the man who she cannot seem to keep away from or keep out of her head. Their electrifying relationship is phenomenal and the author did a splendid job of showing our spicy Athena taking on the very handsome pool player, Tru.
Although both main characters are wealthy, they are very relatable, and I appreciated the book for that. I didn’t feel out of place and was able to picture the scenes perfectly. This book made me feel their desires, sorrows, fears and happiness. I recommend this book, especially if you want one that is hard to put down!

Finding It All (Finding Happiness In Harmony Book 1) by Stacey Komosinski – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Finding It All (Finding Happiness In Harmony Book 1)Finding It All by Stacey Komosinski
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding it All by Stacey Komosinski is book one of the Finding Happiness in Harmony series.

Chloe has never had a relationship which is sort of okay. After her childhood, it’s probably better that she hasn’t ever had a relationship. She has her two best friends and what more could a girl want. As much as she likes to tell herself she’s better off or that she’s too busy for a relationship, sometimes she catches herself longing for that connection with someone. It can’t be all bad can it? Chris has had his fair share of relationships. All with the wrong women. Finally single, the last thing Chris wants is another relationship or to look for love. The last thing Chris expects to find during his interview with the paper is the girl of his dreams. Immediately Chris can tell Chloe isn’t like all the other women he’s dated. Can Chloe and Chris both navigate their pasts and issues and find happiness together?

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. It was good! I enjoyed the characters especially Gabby and Jess. They definitely bring their own personality to the story.

Hawke (Men of Syn Duet) by Anise Storm – Review by Alexandria Richard

Hawke (Men of Syn, #1)Hawke by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Steamy enemy to lovers, second chance, BDSM novel.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Hawke, as this was my first book by Anise, and I was pleasantly surprised. I think I’m gonna like the world of Syn.

Hawke has just moved to Colorado and is opening up a BDSM club after finding success in other cities. While there are some obstacles he will stop at nothing to have the Valentine’s Day kick off party go off without a hitch. Charlotte may be a rich girl, and the only daughter, but she’s not your typical soon to be trophy wife. She owns her own business and enjoys working. Little does she know when she takes a job to plan an event it’s for a man who literally left her hanging and unsatisfied.

I enjoyed the push and pull between Hawke and Charlotte. Hawke is more of an Alpha-hole, as well as Dom, and doesn’t come across as likable at first, but he quickly grew on me. The attraction between Hawke and Charlotte was palpable, but of course they had to fight it.

I enjoyed the build up of background characters, meant to whet the appetite for more to come.

Trigger warnings for abuse and self-harm.

FURY OF CONVICTION (The Dragonfury Series Book 2) by Coreene Callahan – Review by Alexandria Richard

Fury of Conviction (Dragonfury Short Story Collection, #2)Fury of Conviction by Coreene Callahan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A quick read short romance story about dragon shifters. It lives up the expectation of it being hot.

I enjoyed this novella. Pulls from forbidden lovers and enemies to lovers romance tropes. Few authors can do those tropes well in a novella/short story, but Coreene Callahan does. I enjoyed the build up that occurs between the two characters. Does end on a cliffy.

I have not read the other series and you don’t need to, though I bet it provides more backstory if you have. This is book 2 of this novella series and it does reference things from book 1, but you won’t be lost if you’ve yet to read that or the other series.

Trigger warning for human trafficking and references to forced breeding.

Lyon Tamer by Jen Luerssen – Review by Jenni Bishop

Lyon Tamer: Nerdy Romcom AdventureLyon Tamer: Nerdy Romcom Adventure by Jen Luerssen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lyon Tamer: Nerdy Romcom Adventure by Jen Luerssen is flirty, and witty. Jen gives you something cute and fun when you need something to take you away from it all. Well, that and a glass or two. Something where you get lost in another world. Where you laugh at the end of a bad day. The humour Jen infuses in her characters is just perfect and easy to imagine. And the banter is delightful, and it is an easy read and a lot of sass.

Sheldon likes what he likes, and he makes no bones about liking his romps between the sheets. Simone is no prude, but she doesn’t have time for a relationship, and she doesn’t do one-night stands. It sure is fun to watch these two try to navigate the sexy and sizzling and steamy tension around them.

Wow….this book..this story! Charlotte is strong and determined, being on her own and running her very own party planning business. Charlotte and Hawke did meet prior, but little did she know she runs into him again when he is looking to hire someone to help plan a masquerade party for his new business at Syn. Charlotte wants all of Hawke and nothing less but he will not let Charlotte in as his past haunts him so much. When I read more into this story, Hawke past, it was truly hard to fathom how the people he should have trusted the most let him down. The abuse and torture that he went through as a child really got to me. Then there is a also mystery involved in the story of a serial killer. Who is this person and will Charlotte be his next victim? There is so much to this book and it was hard to put down. This is the first book of Author Anise Storm’s and will definitely not be my last. Feel-good comforting romance

Finding It All (Finding Happiness In Harmony Book 1)Finding It All by Stacey Komosinski
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Finding It All is a sweet romance between 25-year-old reporter Chloe, and gentlemanly school principal Chris. Chloe has never had a boyfriend, but she is drawn in by Chris’ good looks and suave ways. From the start, they seem to care deeply about each other, and are drawn to spend more and more time together. It was nice to read a story about two people who genuinely care about each other, without the drama or games that go into much of modern dating. The writing is good, and I enjoyed getting to know Chloe and her roommates, Jess and Gaby. I found it a bit on the predictable side, and wished for a bit more complexity in the characters and plot. Overall though, it’s a feel-good romantic tale that is comforting and warm.

Finding It All (Finding Happiness In Harmony Book 1)Finding It All by Stacey Komosinski
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding It All by Stacey Komosinski is the first book in the Finding Happiness in Harmony series. The story is about Chloe and Chris.

Chloe grew up on a small town and experienced some bullying because she was different. She never really felt like she belonged in that town. She moved away for college and found met new friends Gaby & Jess who soon became lifelong friends. After college the three of them decided to live together in Texas. Gaby is the chatty outgoing girl and Jess is the sarcastic one. The girls seem to get along well and have a routine down that keeps them busy but active.

Chloe is a news reporter who also dabbles in writing fictional stories hoping someday to go back to school for literature. She meets Chris, a local high school principal, when she needed to interview him for an assignment about the local school district and all the changes they have made to the buildings and curriculum. Both Chloe and Chris seem to be interested in each other but keep the meeting professional. But soon after the meeting, Chris emails Chloe and asks her out. Is this the beginning of something great for Chloe? I’ll let to read it for yourself.

Once again Ms. Mellett brings us right back to her great characters, her wonderful plot, and the drama of it all without missing a beat. Leaving us on the edge of our seats with the ending of part one she definitely delivered with part two. But this book has it all including angst, heart wrenching drama, romance and more and if you haven’t read part 1 then you definitely need to read them both immediately. Avenging Devil part 2 is one of the best books I have personally read in 2021.
