I’ve never read any work by this author, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect going into it, but I loved the cover, so I decided to pick it up and check it out. I’m glad that I did because it was a really good book. I love books about small towns because I’ve lived in one myself and know all to well how everyone knows everybody’s business. And that of course leads to all kinds of hilarious and fun stories. This was one of those reads and these “friends” that are so supportive of one another that it reminded me of the movie “Steel Magnolias”. I laughed so many times throughout this book because I could just imagine the scenes playing out in front of me. I really do hope that the author will continue this series because I would love to read more of the stories about all these characters. If you like funny, romantic, and steamy rom-coms then I highly recommend that you pick up this book.

I love historical romances, and I love Wareeze Woodson’s writing. I spent much of the book angry with Rhys! How can this man be so obtuse?! Rebecca and Rhys had only been married a few months when they were separated through no fault of their own. Rhys believes Rebecca to be dead and is stunned to find out this isn’t true. It was a horrifying situation for them to be in. Overall, I loved the mystery and how it all came together in the end. But that Rhys!

It’s Carter’s turn to find romance. Vanessa drops into his lap when she brings a friend into the ER for a strange bite. All he can do is think about her. As they build their friendship/relationship, odd things are happening. Action packed through the whole book. The whole family is their to help to help-out. Wonderfully romantic and a definitely unpredictable read. Fast plot with lots of twists. Highly recommend.

Max and Claudia are fighting the battle of lovers. Claudia, a werewolve, has escaped from an abusive pack. She is battling abusive scars and skittish at most things. The worst part is that her 3 year old daughter/pup is still lost out there. Max, a witch, can talk to the animals and helps her when she is found in the forest. Together, they are slowly building a relationship as they work to find her daughter and destroy Claudia’s old pack. With the help of Max’s friends, this goal can be accomplished. A definite page-turner, you will fall in love with the members of this family and root for Max and Claudia. What a great book! Highly recommend.

Serena and Ethan came together as teacher and student as part of a coven. The chemistry is there. They seemed to have met when Serena helped Ethan’s sister, whose talents as an oracle came into play. Ethan seems to have visions of Serena’s demise so they spend time trying to figure out who and why is trying to kill her. Serena is pretty independent. It is soo hard due to her history to ask for help and depend on others but she learns that it is okay to ask. Ethan and his family are there to help. The action in packed in and keeps you drawn just to figure out who the culprit is. Great job at keeping interest. Love it and highly recommend.

Another enjoyable read from this author. It’s nice to find a historical author who writes in nice detail such as this one. The characters were really interesting to read about and I really liked following their journey. After everything that happened between the two main characters, I felt like I was so invested in their story, I felt for them and also the others that were intertwined in their lives. I won’t say that I loved all of the characters all of the times but they definitely made for good reading in my opinion. I really did feel for Rebecca, after everything she went through, I felt she deserved a little more from Rhys. Overall, this was a really enjoyable story, some nice little twists that made it less predictable than I anticipated and I would definitely recommend it. I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Jessica is a young woman with ambition and a wish to travel as much as she can, but she is feeling stifled and under pressure at her family’s resort, so she decides to temporarily move away and start a bed and breakfast, she chooses somewhere in the small town of Westbeach which needs renovation and determined to do most of it herself, but her cousin keeps steamrolling over that and insists on helping here, even when she doesn’t need it. Will is a young man who works as a web designer, he mostly works from home, but he has had to move in with his sister’s children so he can look after them while she is in rehab, he has left everything behind to take on this new responsibility and he couldn’t be happier about it, especially because he can still do his job.
Jessica is a month into the renovations and has set up a meeting with Will, so that she can get started on the B&B website so that it is ready for when it opens, he is a friend with a bit of a tangled history and as they talk business, they realise that they work together well too, conversation soon turns to Will’s living situation and how it is going, when he inadvertently asks for help with a bake sale, but Jessica agrees, she isn’t going to turn away from spending some extra time with Will, but she is shocked when he suggests his house, they agree on a time and a day and leave it there. When he gets home, he tells the kids about the plan and before they go to bed, his sister calls and wants to talk to them, Will lets her, but he is worried and this turns out to be the least of them, when he receives a mysterious phone call from a stranger, he thinks nothing more of it until he starts to get notes and photo’s taped to his door, they are demanding money and threatening further action if the demands are not met.
As the days pass and life is seemingly back to normal, Will finds another letter, but this isn’t the only escalation, the kids have brought letters home as well that a stranger gave them, this set’s Will’s nerves on edge and he calls on some help, as he thinks about what to do, he is offered a room for him and the kids to stay in by Jessica, he has tried not to think about her and their attraction too much, but her kindness and support are quickly breaking down any barriers he try’s to erect between them. Will he be able to figure out who is behind the letters and threats before the situation becomes too dangerous, or will time run out? Can he keep away from the woman showing his everything he wants to have, or will emotions run wild and free despite the situation? This is a thrilling race against time with plenty of tension throughout, the danger hooks you in and the romance keeps you there as past and present collide to unsettle the future.

Pet Me is the first book in the Toye Shoppe series by Angelique Jurd. I loved a good M/M romance and added in a younger/older kinky troupe, even better. I was surprised how much I enjoyed Bailey and Sam’s story as this was my first book by this author.
Watching Bailey transform from a shy, innocent man to a rainbow unicorn with Sam beside him showing him love and support was wonderful. Even the secondary characters have me wanting more. I can’t wait for more in this series.

Cadence Defined Audio Book by Dakota Willink is the second book in the Cadence Duet. This book picks up 17 years after the events in book one and really does need to be read in order.
I enjoyed how well the author transitioned the characters from young adults into grown people which complex lives and needs. When I started this book it was easy to keep the two separate. It took no time at all to be drawn back into Cadence and Fitz. Their journey was still anything but easy and to see how everything had played out so far was great.
I loved how easy it was for the characters to connect again. That bond was so strong.
I have really enjoyed everything about this duet. It was well written and emotional. The characters were engaging and had a depth to them that you don’t always see.
This is a brilliant series that I would highly recommend.

As much as the cliffhanger in part 1 killed me, part 2 of Avenging Devil was absolutely worth the wait. The darker storyline in this part of the series is right up my alley and kept you on the edge of your seat. All of the twists and turns with, not only Saffie and Niran, but Mary and Grumbler, made it impossible to put this book down until the end. There really couldn’t have been a better ending to this story. So very well written! A must read!

Pet Me is the first book in the Toye Shoppe series by Angelique Jurd. This was a new author for me but I found the blurb very intriguing and gave into temptation and gave the book a try. I’m really glad that I took the plunge as this is a really great M/M story that I thoroughly enjoyed. M/M may not be everyone’s cup of tea but if it’s a genre that you enjoy reading then I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading Bailey and Sam’s story. Sam is the owner of an adult shop and Bailey is the awkward, shy guy who comes in a couple of times a week to look at one of the items in Sam’s shop. I really enjoyed reading Sam and Bailey’s story. It’s definitely a case of opposites attract. I enjoyed reading about how Sam managed to bring put a whole new side to Bailey and allowed him to explore his sexuality and fantasies safely. Added to Sam and Bailey are a really great cast of secondary characters whom I’m sure we will get to know much better in the following books in the series. They do play an important role in this book and add much to the storyline and I look forward to reading more about them.

This was my first read by this author as well as a jump into the series (this is book 4) and this book was beyond words can describe of how good it was! The writing was perfectly, done and the way the words and things that happened flowed though out the story, it was impossible not feel that character connection or that feeling of holding tightly onto words wondering what would happen as the pages turned!
First off the two main characters instantly gipped me for who they were and things I did not know about them! Carter was a character that I easily could have fallen in love with in real life. He was a gifted healer more than ways of just medicine. He had a special gift to heal, and it truly made his heart flow as helping people was very much on his priority list. It made him feel whole and complete. But, perhaps there was room for more than just healing patients he met at his hospital?
Bring forward Vanessa. A delightful character with a curious mind I would say, who lands in the hospital where patients are in the care of Carter. She is there with another patient who truly had what was thought to be a dog bite. It was far from that though. She was a normal human species and did not carry any gif that was above average. Though she sold jewelry and she loved what she did for a living. Where she is from though, things are more in line with what would be paranormal. Though for the longest time it seems she did not suspect it. But, Vanessa was as curious as a modern day Alice In Wonderland…she dug for information on the odd things she had going on in her town, but perhaps some doors are left closed? Perhaps some things want to be left unknown, and those who dare to push past those boundaries will find themselves in grave danger?
Carter and Vanessa had both intrigued one another in many ways just by their meet and conversation in the hospital. Believe me I was screaming in my head for them just to go at it! Though both of them had different boundaries… Boyfriend, or work etc. But maybe the universe gives guidance or signs when we at least expect it? Perhaps the lives that enter and leave us in our life time have a bigger plan than just a random bump in? Perhaps there always has been more to it?
She learns through her findings the life she thought she knew was anything but! I could only imagine what she was going though and having a lot to progress in terms of information. In realty she learns that the person who is her closest friend for as long as she can remember, is not of a human species at all! This truly overwhelmed her and there was a lot to process, I sure would have needed some strong wine to process a lot of this information!
As things progress, Vanessa has basically put herself in the line of harm. And truth is can she be protected for the danger she had brought on herself based on her own curiosity? The caring tender touch that Carter gives her, is it enough for her to evade what could happen to her? Is there more than just a caring healer? Was she destined for something beyond her imagination? Is she truly human or something else that not even she believed to be possible in this world or even a paranormal world?
Really fast and easy read! Was a good flow of words and events and tying all ends and things together. I loved the characters I got to meet and interreact with! They were all fun and interesting in different ways. The characters alone and the ties into the truth (as I expected there was more than meets the eye) when it was in relation to Vanessa was very intriguing and I wanted answers. I was saddened when it ended as I wanted to spend more time in the story as well with the characters. Was truly enjoyable!
Loved this author’s writing and loved this book. Amazing work as well as character and story development. Highly recommend picking a copy up and reading it! Once you TOUCH this book you wont be able to put it down. Take my word for it!

This was a really good read. I like the supernatural element in the story revolving around dragons and the romance between Hamersveld and Natalie is really special.
Natalie has been kidnapped to use as part of a breeding programme to help create more baby dragons. Hamersveld is one of the dragons in the pack. When he sees Natalie he vows to rescue her. However he can’t take her as his own due to the fact he can’t produce babies. Still he needs to rescue her and when he does the connection between them is amazing. So fully committed to each other it would make for a perfect ending. However things aren’t that good. Natalie has to leave before the rest of Hamersveld’s pack come and take her back to the breeding programme. With both their hearts breaking it is a classic story of if you love someone you have to let them go. But will this be the end for Natalie and Hamersveld or just the beginning.

The cover intrigued me from the start and made me wonder what secrets were held behind the stare. I felt like I’d find an intriguing story just from first glance. And it sucked me right in. I really appreciated the flow of the story and the way the author drew me in. I was kept guessing and really connected with the main characters. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to going back and reading more of the series.

I’ve really come to thoroughly enjoy this author and the small town romance that unfolds. This latest book offers yet another gift to unwrap with some fantastic characters, a charming setting, and a little bit of Christmas to warm my heart. Really enjoyed this easy read, perfect for a lazy afternoon.
Cadence Defined is the second book in the Cadence Duet by Dakota Willink. These books need to be listened to in order, and they are both hot listening. This is true love with twists and turns. I like that the books were 17 years apart and the growth of the characters was amazing. This author is definitely a one click for me and I look forward to whatever is coming next.
Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber did an excellent job with both books in this diet. They really brought the characters to life. I will also be watching for these two narrators in my upcoming audible listening pleasure.

Remember His Name is the second book in the Remember My Name Series by Laurencia Hoffman. This story features Wren and Henry and the twists and turns had me reading long into the night. You could read this book as a standalone but I would recommend reading the first book in the series first. They are both good reads. This book closed some gaps that the first book left hanging. The writing improved with this book, not that the first book was bad, this one seemed to flow better. I like reading MM genre and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Hoffman in the future. Fury of Conviction is the second book in the Dragonfury Short Story Collection by Coreene Callahan. Who doesn’t love a great dragon shifter story- I know I do! So, it was never any question that I would snap up a copy of this book the moment I saw it in my notifications. Coreene Callahan is a ‘new-to-me’ author and I am really baffled as to why I haven’t come across her books before now, because after doing a little stalking- er, um, I mean research, I discovered that she has written a slew of Dragonfury books, and as I mentioned before, I LOVE dragon shifter stories, so I am kicking myself that I have been missing out all this time, and I hate missing out on good books lol…. Anyway, I digress, back to my review. This is a great little paranormal romance, with DRAGON SHIFTERS 😊, fantasy, kidnapping, drama, agendas, chemistry, and action. It was a great introduction to Ms. Callahan’s style, and definitely gave me a taste for her work. The only issue I have is that I wish it had been longer (this is a novella length quick and easy read) as there were aspects of the story I would like to have explored in greater detail. It really made me curious about the pack and the Dragonfury ‘world’- so I will definitely be going back to explore the rest of the Dragonfury books/series- as there seems to be quite a lot of full length novels there for me to sink my teeth into…. so stay tuned.

This was such a good story. It was an easy read also. The tale between Natalie and Hamersveld is very well told with the action and romance and, very well detailed for the shortness of the book. From being kidnapped to kinda rescued, Natalie is having a inner battle with her feelings for her savior. Should she or shouldn’t she? That is her question. Hamersveld is love struck with Natalie from the very beginning of the story! But he has to defy his leader to get to her. Will he? Who knows!
This was my first book by Coreene Callahan. But it won’t be the last!

This is the second part of the Avenging Devil book. Manda Mellett is an amazing author. I highly suggest reading the first part. You understand this book better if you do. This story is not for everyone. It is a dark story and can cause some triggers. The attention to detail allowed me to see them in my mind’s eye. I felt a bond with the characters like I was right there with them. There are so many raw emotions while reading this series that can overtake you as the reader. That is what makes this book and this series great. I highly recommend this series. You will not be disappointed.

This is part two of the Avenging Devil, you can just read this one…but you will want to read part one first. This book starts where book two ends. Saffie has been found by the abusive husband she thought she had left behind. Niran is determined to do whatever it takes to keep her safe, including going into a white supremist bike club. Oh my poor heart, my emotions were all over the place! This book was well worth the wait. I wanted to just crawl into the book and comfort Saffie myself. Can Saffie and Niran escape and forge a future together? This is a MUST read book!! Thank you Manda Mellett for completely delivering an amazing part two!

AJ Renee does it again with Cursed Touch the fourth book in the Broderick Coven. It is captivating and engaging paranormal witch romance. The stories just keep on getting better with each one and this is my fav of the series so far. AJ weaves tangled webs that you are easily ensnared by when reading one of her works. She makes it easy to get lost in the story because her world building and writing style makes it so. I was so engrossed and lost in the story that it was over before I wanted it to be. With witches and magic, mystery and fated mates, protective heroes, and lots of chemistry it is a winner, and you should get a copy today.

So I read Enemies by Tijan and was so enthralled with it that I wanted to read another book and chose Ryan’s Bed. For me this book didn’t compare much to the writing of Enemies. I thought that the story was good and the author’s writing was on point, but I felt like so much was missing from the story. I found it hard to be consumed by the storytelling especially given the subject matter which could have been completely heartwrenching. I found it hard to connect with the parents, the brother, or Ryan’s friends although I did connect minimally with Ryan and Mac. I found it hard to believe some of the scenarios. I think there is a big difference in the writing of this book from 2018 versus the writing of Enemies in 2019. It won’t be my last Tijan book, but it’s not my favorite by a long shot.

Bared is the first book in the Green St. Girls series by N.D. Jackson and is a enjoyable contemporary romance story. ND’s writing has an easy flow to it and has done a good job in keeping the reader engaged and being able to get lost in the story. The characters are well developed and complex and well written, that I was hooked from the very beginning so much, so I didn’t want to put down. ND has the knack for drawing you in and being able to feel exactly what the characters were going through. You will find yourself laughing, feeling sad, frustrated and the tension right along with them.

I have been waiting for part 2 to come out…and it did not disappoint!!
First…if you haven’t read part 1…start there! Part 2 picks up right where part 1 left off…and it never slows down! The cliffhanger from part 1 has Niran in a tight spot…and some quick thinking has him forming a plan. However, Saffie not knowing the plan throws a whole other wrench in the works because now she believes she has been betrayed yet again.
Once they are both at the Wolf compound, they are both fighting for their lives. But, the Satan’s Devils never leave one of their own behind. However, even then they are not out of the woods. There is so much action and drama that will keep you on your toes until the end.
Watching the San Diego and Utah chapters work together was a fun crossover from the other books that I have read. I am still not too sure about Cyn…but I’m sure there will be a future story there. I loved Saffie’s bravery and strength…and watching Niran come to terms with, and accept, that was a beautiful thing. I loved these two characters from the last book and they are probably some of my favorites in the entire series.
I can’t wait to see what Manda Mellett has in store for us next!
