Blue Summer
Book 2
By
Everly Taylor

In this book Lillie finds that she is happy living with the Zayed and learning all about their lifestyles. The love scenes are very well written as is the whole book. Everly Taylor does a good job with both of these books, she paints a good picture of a fantasy world. I recommend you read book 1 first so you will understand what is happening because book 2 starts at the end of the first book and can leave you lost if you haven’t read the first one.

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils MC #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Sophie Beatty

Turning Wheels (Satan's Devils MC, #1)Turning Wheels by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I cannot even begin to give this author the credit she deserves and I will be binge reading EVERY book in this series.
Wraith and Sophie came to meet under insane and left field circumstances. Bringing the quiet English girl to a Motorcycle Club filled with grungy, loud, attractive men. After Sophie’s accident, leading her to ending up at the clubs compound, Sophie was afraid she’d never be wanted or loved. She learns swiftly that is not the case as the all men almost immediately fawn over her. With the plot line that stays intriguing, interesting, and prominent. Mixed with the romance element, with a couple risqué scenes (to which I’ll admit I was ASTONISHED by). I cannot even fathom how this book would be any better than it is. This will be going into one of my favorite books of all time. I can’t tell you enough if you want a book that is constantly moving, intriguing, romantic, falling in love, and having some bomb ass sex – please read this book! And let’s not forget what’s revealed at the ending?! Are you kidding me, could it have been any better!!?

Bound by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops Series Book 2) by Amy McKinley – Review by Vanessa Watts

Bound by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops, #2)Bound by Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After falling in love with the first book how could I not chase the paths of Xander’s brothers. Though these are stand-alone books they do weave together the characters that you come to know and love through the series. This book made me laugh, cry, and get angry at some of the characters and if that isn’t the telling of a good book then I do not know what is.
Kayla returns to her hometown after a life-threatening experience with her abusive boyfriend, hoping to hide away for a while and letting things blow over. What she doesn’t expect is to see her past crush, one-time lover Jaxon. She is soon forced to face not only her feelings for the Ex-Navy Seal but also the past tragedy of losing her brother. With her ex closing in Kayla realizes her one haven is staying with Jaxon in his condo. That is until her ex shows up threatening her loved ones and bringing to light the secrets from the past that can’t stay buried. Can Jaxon save his relationship with Kayla when his secrets surface or will he lose her forever? This book has more twists and turns that a roller coaster and is designed to leave you on the edge of your seat. You may lose sleep while reading this book simply because you cannot put it down, it is just that good and worth the read.

Twisted Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops #1)Twisted Secrets by Amy McKinley

I could not put this book down, I read it in two hours from start to finish. As if the gorgeous Navy Seal Xander wasn’t enough to pull me in, you add in the real threat of danger and divine story line and I was sold from page one.
Xander must come to terms with a mission that seems to have more unnatural flaws that cannot be accounted for as well as becoming single after hoping to settle down with his girlfriend. He takes leave after being injured on his last mission and heads to his own personal paradise where fate seems to have ideas about his love life. In enters Riley who is dealing with her own romance problems and her stalker ex. Things seem to go from bad to worse when Riley starts encountering dangerous happenings at her apartment. At this point Xander becomes her white knight making her feel safe and protected. But is he able to protect her from the danger that lurks around every corner? Can Xander and Riley move past their current circumstances and build a future together? There are twists and turns around every corner making this a wonderful page turner and keeping the reader guessing on where the danger is coming from.

In His Kiss (The Unrequited Series Book 1)In His Kiss by Ava Alise
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book in The Unrequited Series. It is a beautifully written friend to lovers romance. The author does an amazing job with her character. You can’t help but fall in love with them. You can feel the love and connection between them from the first page. Both characters have drama and trials in their life’s but their constant has always been each other.

After a night drinking heavily things cross the line. They both confess their love for each other and you can feel the contentment and love between them through the authors writing. Could this be the start of a beautiful romance or will the cold light of day ruin everything?

This is one romance you won’t be able to put down. You are drawn into the characters story and at times you feel like banging their heads together because you know they are perfect for each other. Will they see that in the end?

Ouroboros (Antipodes III) by T.S. Simons – Review by Shelly Kittell

Ouroboros (Antipodes #3)Ouroboros by T.S. Simons
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cam has been through hell up to this point. He has suffered tragedy, loss and endless drama and surprises. Reunited with his first wife, Freya, and their children, Cam embarks on a journey for closure on how his second wife, Lae, died. Talk about Pandora’s box, many secrets of the geodome societies come to light. Everywhere you turn there are secrets. Cam is completely overwhelmed by this. There are so many decisions to be made by him and by the community he lives with. This book has not disappointed me at all. The final book in the antipodes series, the author has woven the characters together nicely. You can easily feel them and what they are feeling. The plot ran fairly smooth. I did get lost a couple of times but that smoothed out as I went along. Definitely a series you have to try.

Mountains Wanted (Mountains #1)Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is an escape book. One that you pick up when you are looking for an easy, romance read without too much drama. There is a little bit of angst and a fair bit of steam. I enjoyed that the FMC was self-assured (most of the time) and that the characters owned who they were. There is a fair bit of detail and inner monologue but it helped to understand the characters motivations better.

Ouroboros (Antipodes Book 3) by T.S. Simons is a YA, Dystopian post-apocalyptic, story. I have said it before and that is that this is a uniquely unpredictable story. TS certainly keeps you off track when she takes things up a notch and then bam hello surprise and that is what I like about TS’s writing. I would have to say that this is my fav of the series so far. Brink of Denial (Sons of Sindicato Book 2) by Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns – Review by Charlisa Wahtomy-Alba

11 years. That’s how long Mila has been away from home. She has dreams of owning her own clothing line, but being the daughter of a Mafia boss, she doesn’t really want that association. She signs a modeling contract that has her moving to California and leaving behind the man that she loves. Dane Giodano has been using the last decade to try and get over his first and only love. The night she left him she took his heart as well. Even after all this time he can’t let her go. When she turns back up in Jersey he wants to hate her, he wants to turn her away, but she won’t go without a fight. Being by his side is where he wants her, it’s where she belongs, but what is she willing to do to get there?

I do believe this series is my first taste of a Mafia romance. These ladies have done a great job pulling me in as a reader and making me want to keep turning the pages.

This book was a super wild ride all the way to the very last pages which totally blew me away! In sons of sindicato we get the story of Seth and Shaw and we get snippets of Dane and Mila. Brink of denial explored everything that makes them Dane and Mila together and apart. They are wild, forceful, aggressive, but madly in love! They have been their entire lives and we get their story in book #2. After that ending it will be a rough wait until book #3 is released!

Red Coat by Isobella Dunn – Review by Carly Vogler

Red CoatRed Coat by Isobella Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Red Coat by Isobella Dunn is one of those stories that will tug at your heartstrings.

Sara was in the foster system when she was younger, and that fueled her during her studies to become a social worker. Because of Sara’s background, she is the best for dealing with “problem children”, or the ones who are difficult to place for whatever reason. When Rachael’s name comes across her desk, Sara is quick to try to get to the bottom of it. When Sara finds out she has more in common with Rachael than once imagined, it brings emotions to the surface that Sara thought she had gotten over some time before. With Sara’s past unraveling, will she be able to help Rachael?

As someone who would love to foster and adopt, this hurt my heart. Though I’m not sure it’s an accurate representation of the current foster system, it’s just sad to think this could ever happen to a child.

I’ll See You Again (Reigning Hearts, Book Four) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher – Review by Carly Vogler

I’ll See You Again by K.G. Fletcher is book number 4 in the Reigning Hearts Series. It can be read as a standalone (I did), but if the others in the series are as great, I will be buying them!!

First of all, I think it is amazing that the author narrated her own story. I’ve listened to quite a few audiobooks and never come across one where the author did it themselves.

When big city stardom meets small town girl, the attraction is undeniable. The best loves are the unplanned ones, right? Unfortunately, you can’t always have the girl and the dream job. Nicky has her own plans and goals, and they don’t line up with Reid Macphersons. When he has
to leave Nicky behind, all is up in the air. Will they find each other again, or will their chance encounter turn into the one that got away?

Any book with an amazing female lead gets my approval. Seriously Kaysee is an amazing character. Even when her world felt like it was crashing down around her she didn’t stop. She had some serious decisions to make and those decisions could change so many lives. The most important one to her is her son. Can she be forgiving to the hybrids after all they have done? The world that the author created is simply amazing. The details alone draws you in and puts you right next to the characters. Seriously just by the summary of the book I was ready to jump in and get lost. I definitely recommend this serious if you need something fresh to read. Something not like the rest.

Brink Of Denial (Sons of Sindicato Book 1) by Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns was a great read! This book was thrilling, entertaining, full of romance and erotica, and crime as well. I didn’t see a lot of Dane in the first prequel (I guess that’s the correct name) and it was very nice to learn more about his and Mila’s relationship in this novel. There were a few twist and turns I wasn’t expecting and it kept me enthralled and not wanting to put this book down. I absolutely loved it and I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series!

What happens when you leave the world you know for something else? What happens to the ones
you leave behind? When Mila leaves, she is on the search for her place in the world. She leaves behind everyone, including her best friend Dane. When Mila leaves, Dane basically forgets she exists, but holds a gigantic grudge against her.

Fast forward, Mila wants to come back and expects things to be fine. Dane, could care less and is absolutely furious with her. Can Mila win Dane back, or has she lost him for good?

BRINK OF DENIAL (SONS OF SINDICATO BOOK 2) by SONYA JESUS AND CAM JOHNS – Review by Alexandria Richard

Brink of Denial (Sons of Sindicato #1)Brink of Denial by Cam Johns
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m in love with the crime family world in this book. Also loved the enemy to lovers, second chance, and dark romance tropes.

I loved reading more about Mila and Dane, and seeing their tension filled journey back to each other. Sons of Sindicato may have whet our taste for this book, but Brink of Denial delivers in ways I didn’t know I needed. The sexual tension and chemistry between Mila and Dane is there from the beginning, however it’s a love-hate relationship. They have to overcome 11 years of tension to find their way back to each other as anything but a booty call. In the meantime they have to deal with the drama and rising tensions within the Sindicato, as well Mila’s former lover extorting her with a secretly recorded sex tape.

I enjoyed reading about a strong female lead. Mila has the guts to do things and to stand up for herself. She’s not the quintessential crime family princepessa to be coddled and protected. Sure she needs help here and there, but she tries to get it done on her own first. I also enjoyed the character growth of Dane; him starting out bitter and jaded, and willing to do harm to anyone who stood in his way, to accepting that he can still love Mila despite the past.

Trigger warning for description of rougher sex (non-BDSM), as well as fictional murder, gruesome assault, and crime associated with a mafia family.

Sarah is looking for a “friend with benefits” and James is looking for a hot distraction until he’s ready to settle down. These two light up the pages with their heat. It’s refreshing to read about people who represent different lifestyles and relationship types. There is not nearly enough representation in literature of alternative lifestyles. When feelings start to delve deeper and relationships need to be reexamined hearts can be broken. I’m very much looking forward to reading the next book!

Oh My Goodness!! I think I’m obsessed!
Brink of Denial: A Dark Mafia Romance by Sonya Jesus & Cam Johns is a must read!

Mila had a vision and she would not be swayed, even if it meant walking away from family and love. So she did just that… she walked away. Now, after 11 years, she finds herself wanting what she walked away from.

Dane had his own vision, and it was all about family (well, all about Mila) & becoming the next boss for the Sons of Sindicato. But Mila ripped most of that away when she left him, heartbroken and angry. 11 years later, his hate for Mila grows.

With Mila back in town, things get intense, secrets come out and danger is lurking.
Will they be able to get past the heartache and start fresh? Or will it be too much for them to bear?

This is a must read! To be a part of this family and their story… what an amazing job of pulling you in and captivating you to stay. Sonya & Cam do an amazing job at bringing the characters to life and makes you want to get to know them better. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

What a ride!!! This book is a grand mixture of fun, action, laughs, heart, tragedy, and steam. This book has so many exciting twists and revelations, I could barely keep my wheels on the road.

Sophie is young, fun, and social. She has a job she mostly enjoys and is living a life in London with her best friend, Zoe, by her side. Zoe is excited to start a new job for an enigmatic billionaire. Zoe soon meets and starts dating the billionaire. As Zoe’s relationship progresses, Sophie feels that Zoe is pulling away until she is gone. Suddenly, Zoe shows up on Sophie’s doorstep asking for help to get away from the abusive billionaire. Wanting to protect her friend, Sophie more than willingly helps out. The billionaire’s desire to keep Zoe shows no mercy.

Sophie is trying to recover her life after the tragedy that has changed it forever. Sophie is sitting in her living room one day trying to decide if she is happy about returning to work when there is suddenly someone banging on her door and ringing the bell. When Sophie falls trying to get to the door, the stranger breaks down her door. A massive mountain of tattooed biker appears in front of her telling Sophie she is in danger. Sophie doesn’t believe the biker until the billionaire’s henchman arrives with a request for her presence.

The biker, Horse, decides that the best way to keep Sophie safe is to take her with him on his yearly trip to the United States. Sophie shockingly finds herself in an outlaw biker resort in Arizona. Sophie lands in tattooed Alpha-male biker heaven but can she stay there knowing that just her presence puts their life in danger? Can Sophie adapt to the biker lifestyle?

Through it all, Sophie discovers that these men and their families are not what she thought they were. Sophie discovers a kindred spirit in Peg, friends in Slick and Viper, and sisters in Carmen, Crystal and Sandy. Will she discover how to love again with Wraith? Her rule of one night only will be tested by Wraith. Can he understand why there can never be more? When her secret location is compromised, will she allow this new family she has found to keep her safe even at the risk of their death?

I laughed, I cried, I was on the edge of my seat. This book has it all!! I am looking forward to the next chapter of this series.

This book is about an outlaw biker group living their lifestyle. There is coarse language, discussions of domestic violence, and an attempted sexual assault. Some readers may be triggered.

Brink of Denial (Sons of Sindicato #1)Brink of Denial by Cam Johns
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a thrilling 5 star read, I was pulled in right from the start. The beginning has you thinking all hearts and roses until things come crashing down on Dane. All the plans he had made were all destroyed when he found a piece of paper.

We jump ahead to the present and Dane is still a very angry and scary man. Ever since his heart was torn out by Mila. Mila had wanted more for her life and she tried to get away from the family by moving away and leaving everything behind including the man she loved. When she finds herself in trouble she reaches out to Dane. Will he be able to help her?

She just needs a little more time and then she will come home. But when the man you still love “Hates you” how are you going to make him change his mind?

Overall this was a great read. The moments between these two were intense and very steamy at times. You could feel for both of them and you want nothing more than a HEA for them. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. The authors do a great job with their writing and you feel things right along with the characters. My heart was pounding along with Mila’s several times. I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

This is not normally my kind of book, but I liked it. The author’s portrayal of Mac was so sexy though. I love a confident alpha male! I loved the way Serenas mind worked. I loved how she considered inviting herself to the barbecue in the beginning. The suspense was great and I like the feeling of trying to figure out why so much was happening to her as it kept me turning the pages. It’s a great short read that I definitely recommend.

In His Kiss (Unrequited Series Book 1) By Ava Alise- Review by Lauren West

In His KissIn His Kiss by Ava Alise
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ava Alise takes us an amazing journey of being best friends to more.
Jordan and Xia were best friends from conception in the womb. Every good memory and moment was one they shared and celebrated together. Each had feelings for other but kept that silence scared to cross the line. Every moment of the friendship took them to the present and reflected how perfect they would be together. When a drunken night turns into more it soon becomes a scared reality for each. Is this meant to be, or was this mistake. Throw in family struggles, lost loves, meddling ex-girlfriends, and friends cheering on the sidelines.
Jordan and Xia were young but mature. Watching their love unfold wa beautiful and it lit that spark that love like that does and can exist. Its a book I highly recommend.

Mountains Wanted (Mountains #1)Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander

Warning for 18+ readers.
Being polyamorous and part of the LBGTQ community this book touched my heart in special ways. Dr. Sarah Lynde is a very sex positive woman. She is comfortable in her skin and knows who she is. Sarah is on the lookout for a friend with benefits when she meets the very handsome Army First Sergeant James McAllister. Meeting at a lecture Sarah gives about the military’s don’t ask, don’t tell policy they meet up for coffee for a continuing discussion. Their views differ but the attraction and electricity between them is undeniable. Sarah is hesitant for a serious relationship after her marriage ended in a disaster and James having served in Afghanistan and having a failed marriage is also a little reluctant.
I love all the discussions about their status and feelings; in a polyamorous relationship communication is very important. It was nice to see that portrayed so wonderfully and realistically. The feelings Sarah had about telling James that she was polyamorous for fear of how he would feel about it, were perfectly on the mark!!

I was hooked on Ms. Dunn’s story within the first few pages and couldn’t stop reading until I had finished the book. Ms. Dunn gives us a suspense romance full of emotions, drama, intrigue, mystery and more. Her characters not only had brilliant descriptions, but she made sure that all of their emotions were in order for this story. Depending on your background this book can contain triggers for certain scenarios and emotions, but over all Ms. Dunn does a beautiful job of telling a foster kid story. This story was so wonderfully descriptive and detailed that I look forward to reading more from this author.

Wild Vamp (Jaded Vamp Book 2) is the second book in the Jaded Vamp series. While you can read this as a stand a lone, I recommend reading them in order. L.D. Wosar takes Underworld to a whole new level. This novel is set in the future. While I enjoyed reading it, it left me a little confused. More so because I started with book 2 instead of reading them in order. L.D. Wosar is a wonderful author. Wosar takes an imaginative step into the future and describes what could happen.
