Along with the many emotions that will keep the story alive. The characters are both self reliant and strong. Their willpower is non stop. Every book in this series has something new for the readers to read. New highly intense adventures and romance is what is in this story. Well Done R. L. Dune! Well Done!

I really enjoyed listen to this audio book. I really liked Laim characters and how well they interact with Kendall. The strength and encouragement is also something I admire. Utterly a fantastic listen. This audio has been an absolute pleasure to listen to.

This was a good Saturday read. The characters have history, and I liked learning about that history as the story progressed, rather than it being dumped on me. The only thing I wish was explored a bit more was Kayla and Jaxon talking through that history and gaining a bit more understanding of how they ended up where they are. There is absolutely some of that, but I’m nosy and wanted more info 😉

Kayla is a strong character. Yes, she makes mistakes, but doesn’t have to be hit over the head with it to make the right choice, and the reasons behind her choices mostly make sense. Jaxon is stubborn, patient, and understanding. I liked that he didn’t try to smother Kayla, even though her safety was at risk. He asked her to do certain things to stay safe, but didn’t treat her like a child. I didn’t guess who the villain was, which always makes me happy in a suspense novel.

I liked this book! I liked how even though Riley and Xander had an instant connection, they didn’t rush things. Riley was leaning towards breaking up with Charles, but took some time to decide, and communicated with Xander. Their relationship still ended up moving quickly, but they still tried to be friends first. I mystery was interesting, and while I guessed who the antagonist was, there were times I doubted myself!

I liked the 2 main characters. Riley has some obvious trauma in her past and is doing a good job of managing it until things started happening to her, and even then she did pretty well. Xander is the whole package! Sweet, hot, and protective without smothering. I want my own Xander 😉

STEAMY, STEAMY, STEAMY!

Dirty Tactics: Special Weapons and Tactics, by Peyton Banks is the first book in the series and I listened to it as a an audio book and it was so interesting and captivating and I just couldn’t stop listening. The story is told from the perspective of both of the of the main characters, Marcas MacArthur and Sarena.

The nurse, Sarena, moves into a neighborhood with a sexy S.W.A.T. officer neighbor Marcus who she just can’t keep her eyes off of. Men in uniform are her thing and she doesn’t know if she will be able to resist and then Marcus makes his move.

Marcus doesn’t date. It’s not something you do in his line of work, but something is different about his beautiful neighbor. How far will Marcus go to protect the woman who he wasn’t supposed to fall for in the first place. Only reading this engaging, intense, and steamy novel will get you the answers.

Wow where to even start with Ouroboros, the third book in the Antipodes series? Cam once again ventures from his safe home underneath the dome protecting people from a world-wide deadly protozoa. Seeking more answers but finding shocking answers that lead to even more questions, Cam and his family must prepare to face the one force they never expected.

I have not been this invested in the characters of a story in a long while. Cam, Lae, Freyja, Sorcha, Di….all are relatable, realistic, and wonderfully developed. This series has had me laughing, crying, being angry, heartbroken, and excited to see where the story leads next. There are so many good, terrifying, and unexpected aspects to these stories. T.S. Simons knows how to write a novel that engages the reader, entertains, and leaves you wanting more. This series would be rated higher than 5 stars if I could!

This is book 5 in the Chase Security Series and just like previous books we are taken on a journey involving danger, trafficking and a man who will stop at nothing to protect what’s his. I loved this story. The main character Wes is strong and well trained as we have come to expect but he also has a softer side which is endearing and you can’t help fall in love with him.
Our leading lady Ellie is a fighter. She has a history she is trying to escape from and like most women she has insecurities about her body and about how people see her.
Together their relationship is beautiful and becomes something powerful.
As well as the romance there is also danger when a body is found on the Chase Security property who did it and could that be   someone who is out to get Ellie?Is it someone from her past or a new enemy and can they find out who before its too late. The journey keeps you guessing and wondering who you can actually trust.

Although I’ve read the first book in this series, I hadn’t read #2. I still really enjoyed this book and being able to read more about characters old and new and for the most part, it still made sense. I felt like the two main characters Cam and Freya really grow up and while their relationship deepens, they also feel like two very settled adults who’ve been through a lot but are also there for each other. I was a bit uncomfortable with how Amara was described as a Thai woman but other than that, I also enjoyed the many other characters in this world. So overall I felt like this novel is a bit more slow-paced than the first but it was still very much an enjoyable read.

This book focuses on Wes. Wes is opening up a new facility and is about to meet all of his new employees. However, his introduction to Eleanor comes a little earlier than expected due to accident. As the facility gets ready to open, Wes must deal with employees who are immature and bullies, his best friend who is still healing from his injuries, and his new equine therapist who he is developing feelings for.

Ellie is ready to start her new job doing what she loves. Although she doesn’t make the first impression on her new boss that she would want to, she is excited to work with the horses and help the vets that will come through the program. However, her past secrets are starting to catch up to her and she doesn’t know who she can trust anymore. When her trust is broken this time…she may have to run.

There is a lot going on in this book. The secret that Eleanor is hiding comes out in pieces and kept my attention the entire time. I enjoyed the interaction with all of the different characters. Getting Troy’s backstory made me want to read his book when it comes out. Overall, another good story in the series!

I. AM. HOOKED.
This is the first book of this series and all I can ask myself is WHEN can I get more?! I read it all in a few hours and wanted nothing more than to jump right into the next one. Hazel did a fantastic job writing these characters and their story. Vanessa and her brother are incredibly close, her clients love her, and she has a real talent for hairdressing. She is completely dedicated to finding a cure for her brother when she meets the brothers. Her father had ruined her idea of men up until this point. But what will she choose – indulging in lust/love or the life of her brother? A life for a life. The cliffhanger in this one is rough, but the book is so worth reading!

Once again Simons does not disappoint and where so many series lose something as they go on, this only seems to gain. The writing is as ever sophisticated and takes the reader on a thrilling journey.
Cam is reeling after the loss of his wife and decides to leave the home he has found and his new friend in order to find answers and of course, hoping that somewhere on his travels he will find the healing he so desperately craves. His journey takes him far from everything he thought he knew about his reality and the truth of the world he now inhabits.
This is a really great read and honestly, I would recommend the entirety of the series. I have gotten addicted to Simon’s writing that is well above much of what I have read recently. she takes you on a rollercoaster of feels, all whilst revealing a vivid and extraordinary world, that feels so real. You should read this, you will not regret it.

I absolutely loved this story of Liam & Kendall. At first Liam’s cold approach toward Kendall was a bit icy, but then Kendall started to show Liam the good he has in him. While the story unfolds. You understand why Liam is so cold & driven to perfection. No doubt these two together made for some very hot scenes once they both let their guard down especially Liam. Definitely 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

I don’t normally read this type of romance but I have to say what a great change of pace. I enjoyed the instant connection. The little suspense throughout the book was an added benefit. This book is an enjoyable read. If only we all could find a love like these two share – the world would be a better place. Pick up the book and sit back to enjoy.

Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley is part of the Moonlit Destination series. This book can be read as a standalone.

I don’t want to describe the book too much and give it away so I won’t say much. Gianna lands her dream job that lands her in Venice. It’s everything she thought it would be. The more time she spends there though, something feels off. In the meantime she meets Sergio and their relationship starts to grow. Not everything is always as it seems.

As with other Amy McKinley books there’s a bit of suspense in this one. I couldn’t put it down and had to find out more. Gianna and Sergio are great characters. The book was so well written I almost felt like I was in Venice myself. I definitely recommend!

Kendall is working for a jerk, he is rude, opinionated and just the boss from hell, but there is just something that makes him irresistible from her dreams and fantasies.

Liam is trying to resist his new assistant but the more he works with Kendall the more he fantasies about the strawberry lip gloss.

This story is hot and passionate, there is a slow burn at the beginning but these two fiery characters spark they set the speaker alive. The two character voices really suit these two characters and it feels like you are in the main conversations and passion that is put into the words on the page makes it really engrossing and will have you listening well into the night.

I love Aubrey’s books and this audiobook is no exception, I may go back and listen to some of her other books which I read just to see if there is another aspect of the story I have missed. Thank you Aubrey.

Sarah is looking for a hook up, Friends with benefits whatever you want to put a label on it but definitely not a relationship that why this seems a great deal with James.

Sarah is woman who knows what she wants, nothing complicated, no relationship just sex. While at work she meets James who seems the ideal person for a friends with benefit package, there is an instant attraction but as it goes on can she just see him a bit of fun or will it get serious.

James is a RTOC Instructor and is giving a talk to a class but his attraction is drawn to the professor, Sarah. When they approach each other James feels the attraction and when the opportunity to just scratch each others itch becomes a reality James jumps in with both feet but feelings are starting to play a part and James is at crossroads.

I love, love, love this author and her stories there is never a boring one, the writing is brilliant as usual and the characters are well developed and just jump off the page with the chemistry they have.

I always love how Phoebe creates her female lead characters with strength and a “don’t give a crap” attitude but also shows the flaws in there characters as well and that is also evident in this book. I also love the way the male characters are nearly always alpha men but have that soft side to them that you just melt into.

This is the first book in this series and can’t wait to read the next books to see how this beautiful relationship and couple progress.

When you are hired for your perfect job and you get to travel to Italy for the first time what more can a girl want, but when Gianna lands there is an eerie feeling that she has been there before things start to change.

Gianna is a conservator and when she gets the perfect job to restore a beautiful Italian painting she jumps at the chance especially when she gets to go to Italy for the time, so she hops onto the plane and lands in Italy. Although while she walking through the street of Venice she has a feeling that she has been her before but the only problem is she has never been to Italy or Venice in her lifetime.

Sergio sees her and has an instant attraction he needs to get to know this beautiful woman but there is a nagging feeling that the have already met but when and where as he would remember the meeting.

I love Amy McKinley books she can turn her hand to all sorts of genres and themes and this series does not disappoint. This book is well written and contains beautiful descriptions of Italy and Venice which you feel when reading are walking through those same streets and looking at the same buildings. This is a great love story with a great twist which have you entranced with the story and these two wonderful developed characters.

This story can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend this series and the other by this brilliant author writes, to be honest there hasn’t been book I have not loved.

This third book in the series definitely took unexpected twists and turns! Cam has already gone through so much in a short time. On his journey to get answers and heal Cam learns more than he bargained for. And then finally learning the reason they were all chosen makes for a late night page turner! I really enjoy the way T. S. Simons writes. Definitely looking forward to more of her books!

I highly recommend this series. This is just blowing me away and I am so enthralled it is scary. I am so excited to know that there is still more to come. Each of the books so far has just exceeded my expectations. These are not quick, easy reads. Each book must be read in order, savoured and understood. The world building is exceptional and it reads so much like a movie playing in my head. In this book we get to hear from Freyja’s point of view and it was an eye opener. Connections and assumptions that I had made in the previous books were shattered. I can’t wait to see where the author takes Cam and Freyja’s story next.

So enjoyed this!! I did not see the twists coming AT ALL! But I enjoyed them nonetheless! I was happy to read from Freya’s viewpoint in this book! She saw things and experienced things that Cam didn’t and it was refreshing to see her old character come back out. She is pretty amazing!

The thought process to write this book must have been immense! Wonderful writing that I haven’t read in awhile! Thank you, T.S. Simons for putting this out into the world!

Wild Vamp by L.D. Wosar

Wild Vamp is the second book in the Jaded Vamp series by L.D. Wosar. This is the first book I have listened to by this author. That being said, I found the book enjoyable, but wish I had listened to the first book before this one. If you are looking for a kick a** female character, this is the series for you. This story flowed well, with a lot of action and fight scenes. I like the premise of these vampires, but again I feel I would have had more knowledge if I read the first book. I’m looking forward to listening to both the first and the third books in the series. 

This is also the first time I have listened to a narration by Aaron Smith. His growly voice grew on me as the book progress. He did a great job of bringing the characters to life. I look forward to listening to more narrations by Mr. Smith.

Wild Vamp is the second book in the Jaded Vamp series by L.D. Wosar. This is the first book I have read by this author. That being said, I found the book enjoyable, but wish I had read the first book before this one. If you are looking for a kick a** female character, this is the series for you. This story flowed well, with a lot of action and fight scenes. I like the premise of these vampires, but again I feel I would have had more knowledge if I read the first book. I’m looking forward to reading both the first and the third book in the series.

Wild Vamp is the second book in the Jaded Vamp Series. I would not recommend reading this on it’s on due to the fast pace of the book, but it can be done. There is a large time gap that makes it a little easier, I think. It makes more sense as a series, and you are absolutely missing out if you do not listen to the other stories.

Kaysee is on a wild goose chase looking for her husband and child. Most people would have been distraught and just let go, but not Kaysee. She is strong willed and determined and will stop at nothing to find those she loves.

Ouroboros (Antipodes III) by T.S. Simons was another excellent read in the Antipodes series. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series of books. The ones I have read so far have all been from Cam’s viewpoint. It was a nice turn that this one has given Freyja a voice. Another great thing about this story is the parallels with current events in our own society. The only drawback for me in this book is the adult situations. I would have preferred less to none of them because this is a really great story and very well written. I really hate it when I have to skip sections of story.

Get ready to be taken on quite the adventure with Kaysee as she sets out to get her husband back after he was abducted. There is plenty of action to keep you listening. I can’t hardly wait for the next book . I highly recommend reading/listening to this book to find out what happens next.

I loved Jaxon and Kayla’s story. I typically love the stories where there’s some unfinished business. If you didn’t read Twisted Secrets (Book 1 of this series), read it first. While the romance has its own storyline, one of the plotlines starts in the first book and continues in this one. I loved how the author made Jaxon to be a quiet kind of guy, but still a powerful force to be reckoned with. Without spoiling, I loved the way she presented Kayla’s brother as well. You will have to read to find out. The suspense is good, and the romance is great!!

This is the 3rd installment of this series, and wow, what can I say but 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I love YA dystopian reads and hands down this is one of my favorite series’ to date. Twists, turns, drama and romance all rolled up in one. Cam’s character is really coming into his own and friendships are truly tested. I can feel connected to these characters and I would HIGHLY recommend reading this book.

Ouroboros is the third book in the Antipodes series by T.S. Simons. I joined this series with the second book. In the second book, I spent time lost in the characters and trying to figure out who was who. This time, having read the 2nd, I spent much less time confused. I would highly recommend starting with the first book in the series. The books can be read alone but are much better read in a series. This book picks up Cam’s story where we left off in the 2nd. Campbell is grieving the loss of his wife. He goes on a solo journey tracking down Laetitia’s family and their past. Ultimately, he ends up back together with his first wife, Freyja. Together, they discover a plot that threads through all of the communities, affecting every facet of their life. Once again, T.S. Simons weaves a wonderful story of overcoming and love. This book is thought provoking and worth the read.

The third installment of the Antipodes series, Ouroboros by T.S. Simons, is a heart-wrencher. This one hits right where it hurts – in a good way!! I LOVE this story and its characters. The reader definitely needs to read these three books in order to get the full effect and understand all of the backstory and nuances. But, I can recommend the previous books just as much as this one, so it will not be a hard thing to do. This series is jam-packed with action and emotion, and you will grow to love Cam’s character and continue this journey along with him. Not only does this book contain characters that are relatable and endearing, but the post-apocalyptic theme is eerily relevant in today’s world of Covid. This book really is an entire world in the palm of your hand. 5 out of 5 stars!
