L.D. Wosar is a new author for me. While I don’t normally read Vampire Romance, I am Pleased I took a chance on this author. The story is fast paced and easy to follow. Kaysee is truly an independent woman who needs nobody to rescue her or her family. She stands for what she believes, and gets what she wants. But not without the fight. Well Done L.D. Wosar! Well Done! !

This story is a combination of past and present merging together. It is full of rich history and ghost stories. While it’s not a story I favor by this author I am sure others would enjoy it. The characters are good and I did love that first scene of them (Gianna and Sergio) by the water fountain. It is very romantically hot.
Overall it’s a nice story but too enveloped in the past and history for me. This does have a little mystery in here though tha adds to the goodness.

Wraith is the VP of the Satan’s Devils. Sophie was crippled by a madman and is in a wheelchair. She thinks no one could want her, but she is so wrong. Wraith fell in love at first sight. For him that’s all it took. Turning Wheels is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC series. Manda Mellett has what it takes to write a compelling MC novel. She keeps her readers attention from the begging of the novel to the end. I definitely recommend this author and novel to anyone who likes reading MC novels.

Hell in a Handbasket is the third novel in the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. In this novel it’s Teivel and Oren’s story. Valkyrie knows how to write paranormal novels that hook you from the beginning. This novel can be read as a stand-alone, but after reading it, you’ll want to read the first two. I recommend this novel for anyone interested in reading.

This is the 2nd book in the Jaded Vamp series. This is an audio book and is just under 6 hours listening time. This story follows Kaysee and Dominic. Decades have passed and Panthaos has now breeched the estate and is on the lookout for Dominic. Kaysee and her coven have been working to rid the world of Vycans and in the midst of it all, her husband and son come up missing. Claudia, Dominic’s maker, is looking to get him back from Kaysee. Kaysee knows nothing of their relationship. Great story and great narrator!

This is an amazing collection of stories by authors I have never read before but I really enjoyed each and everyone. As the title suggests there is a romance element but they aren’t sweet boy meets girl romances which makes them unique.
Each story is very different and unique. They cover things such as kidnap, a stalker, ghostly revenge, frued and murder also a romance. The characters are really well written and each story feels complete. I fully lost myself in each story and was left wanting more.
It is a great introduction to the authors and for people who prefer something a bit more than a sweet romance this is ideal for them.

I loved Dr. Sarah Lynde’s character. I loved that she is a strong single mother that seems to know what she wants. I learned a lot in this story through Sarah’s and her best friend, Rachael’s relationships. I knew right away that I wanted to root for Sarah and James, but there were a few times that I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. I can’t wait to see how their story continues in the next book.

This is a brilliant collection of full length stories written by some talented authors. Each is unique, engaging and skilfully written. I was pleasantly surprised by how diverse the stories were and due to that I can’t really choose one above the others. There’s such a mix of genres that there is something for every taste. I struggled to put this book down and if it wasn’t for work I would have read this in one sitting. Cannot recommend this anthology highly enough.

I loved this standalone story. It has everything you want for a boss/employee office romance. A loveable, hardworking assistant and a grumpy, workaholic boss.
Kendall has two jobs, attends night classes to finish her degree and spends weekends watching TV with her grandma. Liam is a work obsessed lawyer, with no work/life balance.
When Liam has to return to his hometown during an important case, he takes Kendall with him so he can continue to work.
I loved the thoughts Kendall had about her boss, her sarcastic thoughts and internal responses were highly entertaining.
Forced to spent time together, Liam starts to realise just how unappreciative he makes Kendall feel and this makes him think about how his actions are interpreted.
I really felt these two falling for each other as they spent more time together. It wasn’t all hearts and roses and they were both forced to face their own issues around relationships and their own future happiness. The biggest change was Liam, he needed to deal with his own past in order to figure out what he wanted from his future. He tried so hard, but he was always putting his foot in his mouth when it came to Kendall.
The narration was easy to listen to. Having the duel voices definitely helped with switching points of view.

Phoebe Alexander outdid herself again. Mountains wanted is a story about crave, desire, and pure sex appeal. The characters were great and very relatable. I love the way Alexander writes and the way all of her books that I’ve read so far draw me in. I recommend this to anybody who needs a heart racing, hot novel.

The Don is the first book in Her Three Immortals series by Hazel Storm. This was such a fun story to read. When I read the blurb I just knew I had to read it. I am happy to say that it was everything I expected, and more. This is a sexy paranormal reverse-harem romance, with a very captivating storyline. Grey is the Don of the Underworld, on a mission to collect as many souls as he can. That means spending a month in the mortal realm. But things are about to get interesting. Vanessa’s younger brother is gravely ill and she will do everything she can to find a cure. Has the solution to her problem just moved in across the street? But things are not quite what they seem. Get set for some fun and drama. Told from several POV’s, with a bit of a cliffhanger, fantastic world building, and interesting characters- this story is well worth the read. Can’t wait to dive into Book #2!

Lonely, Lark decides to take matters into his own hands and remind me that he exists. The result is the start of something between us I never considered before. As things are starting to get good, like usual, my life goes to crap.
When disaster strikes, I know I’m not cut out to be what Lark needs. He needs someone like my bodyguard, Soren. I’m not strong. I’m not powerful. I absolutely adore this book and this author! Turning Wheels is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC series by Manda Mellett. I love this book for a multitude of reasons. This author really knows how to grab your attention from the very beginning and for me that is HUGE! My attention has to be caught from the get go or else I will stop reading it. This book…I started from beginning to end in a matter of a couple of days. I did not want to put it down! This book follows Sophie who was tragically injured and left in a wheel chair. Then it turns out that someone is after her with a contract to kill her. Wraith is the Satan’s Devils MC Vice President. The MC has been brought in to protect her. What they didn’t realize is there is an undeniable connection that is formed between Wraith and Sophie. Sophie is also left depressed with no self-esteem left. So what does Wraith do? He shows her how much she is worth exactly albeit through a bunch of twists and turns that no one sees coming! I love these two and the sass only a British woman can have! This book does not disappoint and neither do the rest of Manda’s books!

The first book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series, Amy McKinley’s Twisted Secrets has you unable to put the book down! Quite possibly the best book that I’ve read this year, this is the first book that I’ve read by the author, but it certainly won’t be the last!
Not your run-of-the-mill romance novel, the author does a great job of adding suspense, conflict, and depth to the plot and the characters, making it easy for the reader to feel a connection to the story and the characters themselves.
This book made my heart race in the intense moments, and a few tears were shed along the way as well. Amy does an amazing job of describing exactly what is happening, so that you feel as if you are in the same room as the character themselves, and every issue that they encounter, you encounter right along with them.
This book allowed me to escape my life for a while, one of the greatest gifts an author can have in their writing. I am so excited to binge read the rest of the series, as well as check out her other books!

This is the 5th book in the Chase Security series and I loved it, 5 stars. I was pulled in right from the beginning. I was excited to finally get Wes’s story.
Ellie is excited to be starting a new job working with horses and doing equine therapy. She does have a past that she is trying to get away from, so she has some pretty big walls up.
Wes is part of Chase Security and had a mission that really affected him. Trying to move on from the mission he focuses on the new equine therapy. When he meets Elle he is instantly drawn to her. When there is a scary twist it changes things pretty quickly, will Wes be able to solve the crime and keep everyone safe?
Overall I really enjoyed this book, you can feel the attraction between the characters. And the twists and turns will keep you on your toes. I really enjoyed their story, the author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I felt like I had a couple of different stories going on, which I really enjoy. Each book can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from book one. We get drama, suspense, secrets and so much more. 1-click and get started today.

I just absolutely loved this book and I am so invested in this series. This is Teivel and Oren’s story and you do meet them in the 1st two books. At first, I was not sure about Teivel, he is brash, but I fell in love with his character in this book. Oren and Teivel should not be together, since one is a demon hunter and one is a demon, but they couldn’t be more perfect. The “bundle of joy” so to speak, was surprising, in a good way. I also love how Author Naomi Valkyrie continues this series and includes the other characters in the books as well. It is truly like one big paranormal family and I am so all in! If you love paranormal with some mystery and romance…definitely check this series out and I recommend you reading them in order! Happy reading!

I have been in an MC romance reading mood and Turning Wheels (Stan’s Devils MC, Book 1) by Manda Mellett was the perfect addition to my growing obsession with this trope. If you like a drama with suspense and a romance that leaves you needing a cold shower, you need to read this book. Sophie and Wraith’s story had me on the edge of my seat and stopping a few times for a cool down from the hotness. I don’t want to give too much away, just take my option and go read this book Besides the main characters, the secondary characters had me wanting to know more and looking forward to finding out their stories.

When he receives a call regarding a friend, he immediately accepts him in a role at the facility, knowing that it will help the both of them as he is on point with his work no matter what is happening around him and Wes needs someone he can fully trust to take on some of the responsibilities associated with running the Centre.
As he is going into the centre of town to drop off some paperwork, he finds that a car has been in an accident on the property and is currently wrapped around a tree with a woman with a head full of blonde curly hair bleeding and injured within it, that woman is Eleanor West, the new Director of the Equine-Assisted Therapy Programme and she is heading to the Centre for her first day on the job, however, when she sees a cow in the middle of the road, she screeches to a halt to try and avoid it, however, she hits the tree instead because of the rain slicked road surface. As Wes is tending to her, bandaging her eyes, hooking her up to a drip and talking to her the whole time while waiting for the emergency services he has called to aid him, they don’t know who the other is, however, they soon realise it when she is taken to the hospital for treatment. She is clearly terrified and uncomfortable with certain aspects of the treatment, however, she feels comfortable with the man who rescued her and he looks after her as best he can and this includes taking her to stay in a room in his home overnight so he can check in on her concussion and other injuries. As she recovers, Eleanor continues to feel comfortable with Wes, however, she feels like she doesn’t stand a chance because of her looks and some of the snide remarks she begins hearing when she goes to settle into her accommodations thanks to the rumours which start flying around after her stay in the boss’s home, what she doesn’t know is that Wes is feeling the same way about her, with her curves, wit, dedication to her job and personality, he is finding it hard to resist her charms.
As the week progresses and the Centre is closer to opening up, tensions mount when the snide comments and rumours cause friction within the therapy team as they don’t believe she can do the job, however, when she takes charge of the situation and makes changes to the team, she proves that she can and will do what is needed for both the horses and the future patients. Meanwhile, a gruesome discovery is made on the property line and this leads to an investigation and stress of a completely different kind when it appears that the curvaceous blonde he is developing feelings involved appears to be attached to it and as the two become closer, Eleanor has to make the decision whether to share her past with Wes or to just tie up loose ends and do what she always has done and run away. Will Eleanor be able to overcome her anxiety and body image issues to open herself and her secrets up to a possible future with Wes and can he keep his feelings for Eleanor separate from the investigation into the discovery of a web of secrets and lies surrounding the Centre? This is a romantic suspense with plenty of heart, it will draw you in and keep you reading to the conclusion to find out which of the possibilities come to pass.

Moonlit Kiss: A Venice Romance by Amy McKinley is part of the Moonlit Destination Series. This can be read as a standalone and thoroughly enjoyed. I always enjoy a book by Amy McKinley because there is romance, suspense, intrigue, and more. This book did not let me down. I love and study art and have always dreamed of going to Venice and can relate to Gianna Bellini, the main character. She has landed a dream assignment working with a fresco but senses more to Venice than meets the eye. Opposite Gianna is Sergio Vitale, a native of Venice. Will the city of romance bring the two together? The two have to take on challenges in more than the romance department and find out if they can solve the issue with the fresco. I loved the descriptions of the city and the characters featured in the story. This book was a great excuse to stay out of the heat and read inside. I look forward to reading more from this author soon.

Secure Decision is a great installment to the Chase Security series by R.L. Dunn. This romantic suspense is filled with wild emotions, drama, danger, intrigue, drama, friendship, romance and more. There was so much going on in this book that I found myself furiously flipping the pages to find out what happened next. Personally I recommend you read the previous installments as they do lay a great foundation to the story and provide great character and story details. But you can read each of them as a single novel if you so wish. I was really excited when I saw this fifth installment and Ms. Dunn does not disappoint. Just like her previous installments Ms. Dunn gives us incredible story lines, fantastic character development, and overall a story that leaves us wanting more.

Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander is the first installment to Ms. Alexander’s new series Mountains. Personally reading anything by Ms. Alexander is like catching up with a long-lost friend. Her dialogue is so easy to read and comprehend, her characters are fascinating and relatable, and her story line in Mountains Wanted leaves her readers wanting more. I was so excited for this book and it was so good that I devoured it in one sitting. This contemporary romance had everything I could want including passion, intrigue, and high-strung emotions. But it was also funny, sexy, and massively entertaining. After devouring this book in one sitting so need book two like now, I just have to know how the story continues.

I am quite familiar with this author and her work, so I knew what to expect. And it was HOT! And steamy. Then again, that’s her style of writing. She is extremely thorough and detailed in her writing and that includes her sex scenes as well. Not that I mind at all. As with all her books, they are very quick reads for me because once I pick them up I don’t want to put them down. This one ended in a cliffhanger so I know that she will continue where she left off. I am just not sure what will happen. I can’t wait to find out.

I loved being back in Juniper Lake and book three in the ‘Life is Hell’ series focuses on Teivel and Oren’s romance. I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this original series by Naomi Valkyrie and this is another great addition to the series. I love the main characters, bitter tracker demon Teivel Tynan and Demon Hunter Oren, but I also like ‘catching up’ with characters from the previous books. Teivel is in Juniper Lake to help his ex but he’s also very attracted to his ex’s deputy, Oren. Teivel’s fear of loving again, his baggage and the fact that Oren is a Demon Hunter and he’s a Demon are all complications to Teivel and Oren having a relationship. However, when they are forced together to get to the bottom of a mystery and save life’s when a mysterious baby is left on Oren’s doorstep the pair develop a connection, making Teivel believe that a relationship just might be possible after all. The authors wonderfully detailed world building really brings the setting of Juniper Lake alive, making me feel fully immersed in Teivel and Oren’s world. The descriptive narrative and unique characters all add to the overall storyline and ensured that I was hooked from page one. This is a fairly fast paced and exciting read and once I started reading I just could not put the book down.

I was not prepared for the amount of steam in this contemporary romance, but I’m not saying that’s a bad thing! 😉 There were definitely some pearl-clutching scenes. Sarah is a professor of sociology and James is in the Army. They meet and have an instant connection and when they are together intimately, they both feel like it feels so normal and that it’s just right. Sarah is polyamorous, which was a lifestyle that was new to me to read about. She loves sex and isn’t ashamed to admit it. She’s not looking for a relationship, just a friend with benefits. James is accepting of Sarah’s lifestyle, and even explores things himself. He agrees to a friends with benefits arrangement, but when no clear rules were set, things become murky. Sarah wasn’t supposed to fall in love but realizes that she has done just that. She finds herself having a hard time knowing that James has also found himself in love with another person, despite his and Sarah’s FWB arrangement. With an impending deployment, there are some tough decisions that need to be made. Will James choose Maggie, the high school sweetheart with whom he recently reconnected back home? Or will he choose Sarah, the woman he’s grown to love over several months?

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous four books in this series I was really looking forward to this latest novel and was definitely not disappointed. As usual with a ‘Chase Security Series’ book I was hooked from start to finish. Although part of a series this can be read as a standalone story although some of the characters do crossover as the series follows the Chase brothers and their team. In this novel it’s the Senior Executive for Chase Security International, Wes ”Alamo” Crockett’s story. Wes is a Combat Medic and nationally registered Paramedic who has just taken over the Chase Centre for Training in Virginia. Wes is suffering with self doubt over a previous tough mission in New York but has to put his feelings aside to oversee operations including a equine-assisted therapy program for disabled veterans. It’s here where Wes meets the new Director of Equine-Assisted Therapy, Eleanor West. When a body is found in a cabin on the training centres property Wes has to investigate as well as being assigned to a case involving women being kidnapped, so he definitely does not have time to find himself attracted to Eleanor. Eleanor is also fighting the chemistry between her and her boss as she’s just started a new job and is hoping for a new start after years of running and hiding her painful secrets. However when these secrets endanger those she cares about Eleanor has to make a difficult decision and may have to put her own life at risk to end her nightmare. Meanwhile, Wes must choose between gaining Eleanor’s trust and helping her and the missing women’s case. This exciting and engaging novel is fast paced and full of drama, suspense and of course romance. The main characters Wes and Eleanor are likeable and realistic and their chemistry really sizzled off the page. I particularly liked that Eleanor is a curvaceous women and her negative body image made her very relatable and was written about in a sensitive way. This is a great addition to the series and I recommend not only this book but the previous four as well. I look forward to book six in the series.

Very captivating from the start. I love how this book is filled with romance and suspense. Amy McKinley did a great job keeping me guessing what was going to happen next to Nadia and Cade. Excited to read the rest of the series and get in on the Grey Ghost Series. I love how she has tied this book into her other series so I am on the edge of my seat needing to know what is going to happen next!
Moonlit Kiss made me feel like I was right in the middle of Venice with Gianna and Sergio! The mystery behind the book kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning of the book to the very last page. Amazing book and I highly recommend.
Looking forward to reading more from the talented Amy McKinley.
