All i can say is WOW! Kat Caulberg is just full to the brim with talent, just like this book. This dark fantasy style romance is beautifully written, with vivid imagery, and an amazing plot with drama, adventure, danger, mystery, and secrets around every single corner! This is my first book from Kat Caulberg, and after this, it’s the first of many! I love this book from start to end, and i think you will too! I recommend this book 1000% percent, and wish i could give it higher than 5 stars! I genuinely can’t wait to read more from this author.

This author has done it again! Each one of her reads I think that she can’t possibly top the last and each time she leaves me speechless with ‘how has she done it again’ and you know how she does it? By her incredible writing style, epic storylines and incredible characters! Each time she will captivate you into her world of fantasy, drama, mystery, suspense, romance & action, you will never ever be bored! I love the depth she gives to this quaint town and the way she has you on the edge of your seat with anticipation, this read is everything and more. While part of an epic series, this read can be read as a stand-alone but I promise you, you will not want to miss the previous two! Oren & Teivel’s story just tops it all off with their incredible connection and undeniable chemistry! These books immerse you into an incredibly vivid story that you never want to leave. When an event in your life imbeds itself in your head, will there ever be a time you can forgive yourself.
Ben is a preppy kid who is a bit shy and vulnerable but he wants to fit with the popular kids and strives to be accepted. Although he is friends with Clint, Ben’s parents are trying to keep up with Joneses and loves that their son is friends with the congressman’s son, but this friendship will be put to the test one night.
As they attend a party, everyone is getting drunk and stoned but as the night goes on Ben sees Claire, a girl who he has a drunk conversation with and when she excuses herself after a while he decides to go to the bathroom where he stumbles upon a scene which makes him sick. He sees Claire totally out of it and Clint assaulting without her knowledge or consent. As Ben wrestles with the scene in front of him he tries to step in and stop the heinous crime that has happened. After that night Ben can not get the scene out of his head and always wonder if he could have done more to help.
Roll forward and Ben and Clint are still friends but the past has come to haunt both of them, can Ben stand up for himself or will the past eat him up forever?
I have to start off that this is not normally a genre I read and was wondering if I would be able to read the book due to the contents, but I am glad in a way that I persisted and got through it. I have two say that I feel this book is of two halves, the first half through the trials of the assault and the heartbreak around that, with the soul searching from Ben knowing that he needs to disconnect from Clint with his toxic nature. The second half of the book was a bit out there and although the feeling of the book did not change, I felt this was a strange turn of events within the story.
Aside from this I really enjoyed the book and although some people may be put off by the content of rape it was written with care and my heart went out for Claire. Although I had a hard time relating to Ben and his turmoil, I did understand the elements which got him to that point and that the soul searching in the end helped him become who he wanted to be. Although this is not normal for me I did enjoy the story and would read other books by this author.

This is the 3rd book in the Adam Brothers series and I think it might have been my favourite (although I did really enjoy the first two). Seb was such a surprise for me, having met him in the previous books I wasn’t 100% sure about him but my mind has definitely been changed! I loved Maelie, she was a great character and her and Seb together was amazing to read about! I loved every second of their story. They both have their own issues to overcome but together they were wonderful! The story was brilliant, well-paced with a great flow. The characters were great to read about and as I said before this is definitely my favourite from this series! I definitely recommend this book and the whole series!

Where Flowers Bloom: A Romantic, Modern to Historical, Mystery by Nikki Vale is a gut-wrenching thought-provoking story. It is a story of a young woman who see a past and present that coexists as the story reveals ghosts and slaves, love and relationships, and lives living on a plantation. With historical elements and the paranormal I really enjoyed this beautiful and emotive tale but the ending not so much. It is an ending that you will either love or hate.
Beckoned is the first book in the Born of Darkness seriesby R.B. Fields. This book also appears to be the author’s debut novel. I love anything vampire- so it was a given that I would be reading this book the moment it showed up on my recommended book list. It has a refreshingly original take on the whole vampire lore- making for a captivating read. With drama, humour, and plenty of sizzle- this introduction to the author’s work ensures that I will definitely be coming back for more.

Naomi Valkyrie has done it again! Who knew the series would just keep getting better. Reading about Teivel and Oren will keep you wanting more. I honestly could not put this book down! The series is amazing but you don’t have to read the first ones to enjoy this one. I highly recommend them though and have already preordered book 4!

Valkyrie continues to impress me greatly with the care she takes in crafting each book and creating a world that you dive headlong into and feel part of. Because of the character development that carries over, even though these books stand well on their own, I cannot stress how much more enjoyable the reader will find the experience if taking it in series order. Quite frankly, with Valkyrie’s gifted pen, I’m not sure anyone wouldn’t rush to pick up the rest if they started out of order. Regardless, the character development and world building in this book were fantastic. If you fancy not-your-average paranormal romp, this book is most definitely for you. I know these characters are dear to the author for the care she took in each page. And that care made me care. Masterfully done! I cannot wait to read the next book!

At All: Adams Brothers: Book 3 by Mindy McKinley. These books just keep getting better and better and I can’t get enough. This one may just be my top pick but hey don’t tell the others ok. Because they are really great also , so make sure you read each one. But this one just spoke to me in a different way and I was so sad when I reached the end. I honestly wanted this book to go on forever and I’d have been there for it. The characters are complex and relatable, they pulled me into their world and I was happy to go along for the ride they took me on. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. This author definitely knows how to keep me coming back for more and I’m excited to see where we go next. Five stars all the way and highly recommended

This was a really good book! It’s book 3 of this series And I would recommend reading these in order so you get the dynamic and the who’s who in the story, but also they’re great books! We’ve met both main characters in previous books but I’m glad we get to be in their heads, as Teivel has been a mystery to me. What do you bet when a demon and a demon hunter fall in love? Well read this and find out, you won’t regret it. Kept me hooked page after page. And I really can’t wait for the next in the series!

Is This Me (Book One of the Being Me series) by Tricia Copeland was a really good read! I was instantly grabbed into the story straight from the beginning. The characters were great and relatable just like the story was. It felt almost like a soap opera though, with all the drama throughout the story. Some parts of this novel dragged and felt difficult to get through, but for the most part this was a very good read. It was definitely entertaining! I can’t wait to read the next installment to this series!

This was a fast-paced, satisfying read with fun characters with LGBTQ relationship dynamics. It is so great to see more of these characters and storylines! Such a great read!

Hell in a Handbasket by Naomi Valkyrie is the third book in the Life is Hell series. Let me tell you that you need to pick up this series. This can be read as a standalone book but would be much better enjoyed read with the other books in the series. The characters have grown and changed as the series has progressed. I really enjoyed this book and the stories keep getting better and better. This book focuses on the character Tievel. At first, I wasn’t overly excited because I wasn’t fond of him, but now that I have gotten to know him better I am a fan. The author gives a fantastic story and made me see how he fits into the greater storyline. I look forward to reading more in this series soon as each book sucks me in more and more.

This is one story that really drew me in! The writing flowed so nicely that I couldn’t help but get involved with these characters. The author did a good job of having me live in the present while periodically taking me on a trip down memory lane. That made me love and care about these three friends. This triangle they have is a tough one. Ellie seems to be in the push and pull between the boys no matter how hard she tries to not be there. It’s a tough spot to be in. She cares for both but hurts one when she pays attention to the other. This is quite a journey for her as well.
Overall I loved it. Getting to know these three is as easy as hanging out with my bestie. The story is a short portion of their lives but yet I feel like I have known them their whole lives. This is a great story and I look forward to more.

Coyote Summer by Laura Koerber is a coming of age story that explores a whole range of topics. It is all centred around Ben, a privileged student who is trying to navigate some difficult situations. I thought it was interesting that I really didn’t connect with this character – or particularly like him – and yet he was exactly the right character for the story. His perspective made the story feel more real. There were parts of the book that felt a bit disjointed. For me the supernatural element didn’t really feel necessary or particularly relevant. However the overall story was interesting and definitely held my attention. I liked how it explored the darker side of growing up how to deal with difficult and dark situations. This book is definitely one worth reading.

Love at First Haunt is the first book in the Haunted Ever After series by Carrie Pulkinen. As a fan of the author I was looking forward to starting this series. The story follows Allison, a psychic and ex ghost hunter who is now terrified to return to her previous role due to a teeny mental breakdown and Logan, who was recently crowned Detroit’s most eligible bachelor, and due to his own internal battle is very happy with that title. Logan is not looking for a girlfriend and is happy keeping himself to himself in his new (albeit haunted) house until he meets Allison and is stuck by their instant connection, although his resident ghost does not seem pleased with this. This was a really enjoyable story, I loved the idea of two gifted people finding each other and helping to fight each others metaphorical demons. I am really looking forward to diving in to the second book in the series.

This is not my first book by Tricia Copeland. This was a different setting for her books than I’m used to. Our main female character is Amanda Avery. She’s starting college and her two best friends are at the same institution with her. She’s got to figure how to keep her scholarship and still have a personal life. There are multiple friends she meets along the way that are very important to her. The two main male characters are Zack and Doug. They are brothers in a fraternity at the college.

This new case is different and will he be able to push back the physiological aspect and get on with his work but this one likes to mind games so he needs to ask for help but will he be able to keep it professional.
Daughter Dawson is a psychologist and once she meets Dolan, she then is compelled to help him although this man could destroy the walls she had built up for so long. Can she keep the distance and stay professional or will the lines blur and they become too close to find this mind-bending killer?
I love a good psychological thriller and this one ticks all the boxes. The story twists and turns into areas you did not think would take you. The characters were well developed and complemented each other brilliantly and with the similar backgrounds they both had it draws you into the story and the characters and gets you fully immersed into the story from the beginning. This book can be read as a stand-alone story but I found reading the first book Saving Mercy a great stepping stone into the wonderful world and mind of Abbie Roads. I can’t wait to get stuck into more books by this wonderful author.

This book didn’t grab me right from the first page. The first few pages had Me a bit confused at first. There were so many characters and so couldn’t keep it straight. That quickly changed. This book was well written and the characters were great! Ellie grew up next door to brothers, Jason and Drew. All 3 of them were basically best friends but Ellie and Jason were always closer. They even dated for a while. There is a lot of history between this group of friends but Ellie was always right there rooting for them no matter what they went thru. Now, years have passed and the guys start up a group “Razes Hell”. They play small gigs until Derek decides it’s time to push it into the big leagues and things just start to spiral. There’s a lot of lies and even more heartache throughout this book. However I really liked this book. The author did an amazing job keeping the reader interested. Great storyline.

Nobody Knows: A British Rock Band Romance is the first book in the Razes Hell series by Kyra Lennon. This is my first read by Ms. Lennon, so I wasn’t sure of what to expect going in- what I discovered is a wonderfully emotive friends-to-lovers contemporary romance. With drama, friendship, family dynamics, addiction, the pressures of fame, passion, and angst- this story made for un un-put-down-able read! Looking forward to more from Ms. Lennon.

I give Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen, 5 stars.
This is the start of yet another wonderful series by this awesome author. Allison and Logan are great main characters — flawed but real with pasts they are trying to overcome. I love how this story is set around a medium, a real one who just wants to use her gifts to help people. She is so wonderful, I want her as my best friend. Logan meanwhile seems to have it all, but looks can be deceiving.
Unlike other books by this author, the whole story really revolves around these two people, but it is not all about their interest in each other. It shows how they each struggle with their past and how that is affecting them today. Plus, as the title suggests, there are of course ghosts trying to make themselves known. This makes things interesting in multiple ways.
This is a fun, interesting paranornormal romance book filled with an intriguing story and wonderful characters. I cannot wait to meet some of the secondary characters in future books. I highly recommend this book.

Coyote Summer by Laura Koerber was an interesting read. As I saw another reviewer say in regards to this book, it held a lot of potential that just wasn’t tapped into. One thing I felt this book needed was a trigger warning. I didn’t see one at the beginning, and there is some sensitive content that some people I feel should be aware of. I felt like I was reading two separate novels, instead of one. The content was well throughout, but I feel like it would have been better split between two novels instead of putting it into one. I also felt like a lot of events went unresolved, and if not really that then that a lot went unexplained. I feel this novel could have been a lot better than what it was. I guess I was just expecting more? Or maybe just thrown off from something. But this was a novel that could grab you. It was very well written. Which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. I would definitely read more from this author in the future.
