This book was sweet and romantic. I liked Rose and her quirky romantic ways. She owns a flower shop and let’s love speak with her flowers. Rose’s family is fun, supportive and quirky just like her and I loved reading about them. Liam decides to take a much needed vacation and heads back to his hometown. He had no idea how hard it was going to be when all the feelings came back from 20 years ago. Rose and Liam grew up together and were hoping to become more than friends when he was forced to move away and he never looked back. This book is full of forgiveness, romance, second chances, and cute moments. This was a good read.
Heartbeats and Roses (book two in the Hartwood Holiday Romance series) by Jae Dawson was a really good read! I think Dawson has some of the prettiest covers, and I absolutely fell in love with this one. If you like contemporary romance with a happy ending, this book is for you. While this is the second in the series, it can be read as a standalone novel. This was the perfect sweet read for Valentine’s day. And honestly I learned a lot more about flowers from this book. I had no idea flowers had so many meanings! I loved this (to me anyway) second chance romance and I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.
This is my first read by Jae Dawson and I found her simple and modern writing style easy to follow. This is a fun, light romance novel perfect for getting in the mood for Valentine’s Day. My favorite part of the book was Rose McDaniels, the florist main protagonist. She had an enjoyably earnest and old-fashioned personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, whimsical, second-chance romance, then you’ll enjoy Heartbeats and Roses.

I have read a few books from this author but she continues to blow my mind. I love a good military romance but this author always exceeds my expectations. This is the first book to a new series called Deadly Isles Special Ops. These characters drew me into their story right away. I could not put this book down until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.
Riley Evans is going to grad school for photography and she is in love. She is so excited to graduate but when the stress starts to hit she finds herself breaking up the guy she thought was her one. Riley is in shock when a gorgeous guy walks in the coffee shop she works at. She can’t take her eyes off of him. Riley is also dealing with her ex being a stalker. When she meets Xander she feels something she has never felt before. They start to get to know each other and they can’t resist anymore. They are so busy with their relationship they don’t realize that danger is waiting to strike. Will Riley and Xander see their danger or will it be too late?

Bound by Secrets is the second book in Amy McKinley’s Deadly Isles Special Ops book series and if you’re going to read any book series, make it one of this author’s. I started Bound By Secrets immediately after book one (Twisted Secrets) and of course I wasn’t disappointed. The storyline focuses on two different main characters but if you read the previous book, some you are no stranger to. Amy McKinley is excellent at giving you dream worthy military (or ex military men) and every storyline has an element of suspense which I will never turn down. I think my favorite thing about this book, or even the author’s writing in general, is that she always hits me emotionally when I wasn’t expecting to be. Both Kayla and Jaxon are enjoyable characters and I really enjoyed watching the growth throughout the book. If you’re looking for a romance with intrigue, suspense, a strong storyline and lovable characters, I definitely recommend this 5 star read.

Askew Ever After: A Limited Edition Romance Collection has a wide variety of novellas written in different troupes. This review is for Paper Love by Aubrey Wynne.
Paper Love is a “do I risk heart again for love” romance. The way Ben used origami to woo Joss was pretty original. Ben and Joss’s story is something I normally wouldn’t read (being a little too sweet) but I enjoyed this change. Aubrey’s writing was great and easy to love these characters. I would read another book by this author in the future.
Pulkinen has done it again dragged m e into another world age created. Allison Gray has seen dead people for as long as she can remember. Logan Mitchell is an empath who is struggling with his powers. He’s bought a new house and is feeling the presence of another and he can’t control this its affecting his life. Allison drawn to Logan but why can she help him in his predomicamet.

Bound By Secrets by Amy McKinley is the second book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. This book is just pure brilliance from a consistently amazing author. It is such an intriguing story, full of twists and turns that you just don’t see coming. What I didn’t expect was just how emotional this book is. There were high and lows and definitely a few tears along the way. I enjoyed learning about the history between the 2 characters and how it all shaped their journey. For me it was this that really gave them that connection. This book is such an amazing book I cannot stress enough how you should read it. Every book by this author is incredible and you won’t be disappointed.

This is a second chance romance based in a small town which rivals Hallmark as a haven for the holidays and Valentines is no exception. Rose McDaniels is a florist with a wild and romantic imagination who organises a secret valentine event every year where she takes orders for special valentines and creates a special message with flowers for the recipient to find at a Candlelight Ball on Valentines night and who owns a cat called Sophie. Liam Bradley is a cardiac surgeon having a string of bad luck, he is being investigated over the death of a patient, his relationship is just going through the motions and his girlfriend is not happy that he isn’t going on holiday with her and instead for some unknown reason, has decided to take up the offer of an old school friend to stay in his AirBNB for a couple of weeks in the hometown which he left twenty years ago without looking back.
Rose is in her shop preparing for an upcoming wedding she has in a couple of days when her landlord comes in to ask her to give a key to the person who is coming to stay in the AirBNB that afternoon, Rose agrees amid her deliveries coming in. Unbeknownst to either Liam or Rose, they are about to meet again when it turns out that he is the one who she has to hand the key over to and she is still affected by him the same way she was at sixteen, but she is torn as he doesn’t seem to be the same person, he is all lines and edges now and cold at the same time.
As Liam settles into the apartment, he agrees to see his friend at eight and then heads out to walk his dog Hunter before the snow really started to fall, he was also reminiscing about the town and how much had and hadn’t changed since he had been here last, then his thoughts turned to Rose and how she hadn’t changed much either and how he regretted how he had left things the last time he had seen her and as he and his friend talk about old times and his family drama over a beer, the subject of Rose comes up again, as does the fact she is still single.The next morning, Rose is busy and has another delivery of some more flowers, but as she is sorting it all out, that is until Liam is woken up and challenges Rose about the time and why she organises them this early and it is at that moment that Hunter decides to get out of the apartment, into the shop and chase Sophie around while destroying the floral arrangements and breaking the glassware inside. As Liam takes Hunter back upstairs and Rose is panicking about the damage and how she doesn’t have time to think, never mind clean up the mess, but when Liam comes back down to help she demands that he leaves and as she is about to go towards him, she slips on the leaf slime covering the floor and land on her wrists and hits her head, there is an audible crack, followed by immense pain and Liam insists on locking up and taking her to the hospital. Unfortunately, it is the same hospital where his dad works and they bump into each other there, the reception is as cold as the weather outside, but as he takes Rose inside to fix her arm, Liam calls her family in to help.
This is a complete disaster for Rose, what with the wedding and Valentines coming up in less that two weeks and with her two assistants unable to help out, she call on them all to help her, Liam included and this is where they start to reconnect, but will they both come to the realisation of what they have, or will Rose be left heartbroken again? Can she muster up the courage to go through with the Valentines events knowing that romance is dead and that she can’t do the things she loves most with her broken wrist? The only way to find out is to read along and find out in the romance filled to the brim with hearts, flowers and love.

Crave An Instant Attraction Romantic Comedy Clark family series By Evelyn Sola
This is a story of two people that have been hurt in the past and have a hard time trusting their feelings. The thing I like about this book is the humor. It is not often that a love story makes us laugh. It felt good. I recommend this book. In our current times laughter is always welcome.

If you enjoy books like Fifty Shade of Gray, you probably will enjoy this book. Sola writes a very steamy story, that addresses class differences, race, and the pain of being betrayed by the ones closest to you.
I think writing a book is a huge accomplishment and I can see why others might like this one, I don’t think this book was for me. The romanticization of an abusive relationship is a theme I have never really been able to get behind.

At Once by Mindy McKinley a tasty four-star read. This is number two in the Adams Brothers series and I have enjoyed them in order. Gabi made this story for me, there was just something about her I could have read another hundred pages. Mason brought something to the story, he had a way of getting Gabi to come across and unfurl herself and become the person she was supposed to. I know I for one cannot wait for the next instalment in this story. As it appears to me this author is just getting better and better with each story they write.

Heartbeats and Roses (Hartwood Holiday Romance) by Jae Dawson was a cute small town romance read. I love Rose and her family. So much love and care. Liam was the ice to her sun and it felt like a true opposites attract. I loved the plot and pacing felt comfortable. I enjoyed the reveals and development by the end of the story.
At Last by Mindy McKinley a fantastic four-star read. This is number one in the Adams brother’s series and it was so close to being a five-star read. I honestly don’t know how I missed this author, as I swear, I had picked it up previously, but I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the next story, there is just something about the writing. Who knew teachers could be so hot and interesting!! I liked how the story unfolded and revealed itself, there were a couple of things I didn’t think flowed as well, but overall it’s a great story.

Heartbeats and Roses by Jae Dawson a flirty four-star read. This is such a sweet read, it may give you toothache, I think I enjoyed this as it was a rekindling and that always warms me up. The familiarity between the characters was a little too much as they just seemed to be too insular and it made it difficult to imagine you are there with them, and that is how I usually read and get into a story. Overall, it was good, and I do plan on reading more from this author to see if the more I get to know the style the more I will enjoy it.

This is an author I have enjoyed through every one of her books. This one is no different. This is a well written story that pulls you in right from the start. The characters made the story fun to read as well as entertaining. They are connectable and engaging. I enjoyed this paranormal story about Allison and Logan. She is a medium who because of her past is afraid of spirits. He has a ghost that is haunting and driving him crazy. Just when he is about to give up hope, he meets her and she just may be the answer to his prayers. I enjoyed their characters and what they bring to the story. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. They truly just made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this romance suspense story. This is a well rounded story written by a great author. I enjoy her attention to details that made the story feel realistic. The characters are both connectable and engaging. This is a fast paced story that has twists and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat. This is Kayla and Jaxson’s story. She is running from an abusive relationship. Not wanting to put her family in danger she runs to the one person she can think of, her brother’s best friend. Jaxon made a promise to his best friend but this time around he won’t be able to keep that promise. What will happen when the past comes to the present in more than one way? What will fate have in store for them? They are great characters that made the story easy to read and fun. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This book reminded me of Georgette Heyer novels, a simple clean regency romance with a Cindrella twist. Though I admit, Cindrella twist was not necessary, even otherwise it is a lovely story. Melinda Wychwood was successfully running her father’s estate, until he dies, when unfortunately, upon his death, the estate goes to his distant male cousin Mr. Davenport. Mrs. Davenport has a young daughter and she detests Melinda’s efficiency and beauty and tries to keep her away from the public eye. Alexander Kaye Arundell, a childhood friend of Melinda, has recently inherited a fortune and is now everyone’s eye-candy. All the eager mothers are eyeing him as a match for their daughters. Arundell along with his friend Theodore Marlowe visit the country side with a a deceitful plot of their own. Will the ploy succeed or one of the gentlemen fall in love despite all his dislike towards the matchmaking moms process? It is a very simple story and told in a very pleasant way. It is very difficult to find a sweet clean romance these days, especially retelling a romance in regency era is not easy. Minute attention has to be paid to the costumes and the accessories. I finished this book in an hour and loved every bit of it. As I said earlier, even without the fairy touch, the story would have been equally beautiful. Hope to see more such romances from this author.

Twisted Secrets is the first book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops Series by Amy McKinley. This romantic suspense is a fast paced wild ride that I just couldn’t put down. The story is based in Hawaii and it just made me want to get away. Riley and Xander have great chemistry and witty dialogue.Amy McKinley is turning into one of my go to authors. If you like second chance romance you will get pulled into this story. Rose owns her own floral shop and she loves it. It has helped her move forward from her own heartbreak. Her favorite time of year is Valentine’s day when she has a special event.
Liam has returned home after an issue at work. He was forced to leave town years ago and he still has some feelings that need to be resolved from that night. The place he has rented for his stay is above a floral shop and brings him face-to-face with his past. He quickly realized how much he missed Rose and they started to get close again.
Will these two rekindle what they had in the past? Or will Liam’s current relationship get in the way?
Overall this was a great story. The author pulls you in with her writing and you won’t want to put it down. Both characters were great. My emotions were all over the place. You can read this as a stand alone. If you’re looking for a great romance read, 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Ride with the Moonlight is the second book in the Thunder on the Moor series by Andrea Matthews. I recommend reading the first book if you haven’t already but thus can be read as a standalone. This is a time travel historical romance that I once you dive in its hard to put down. Will and Maggie go through quite a lot . She’s a time traveler. He’s sentenced to hang and she’s sent back to her family. Will the plan set in motion be enough to save Will and reunite the two? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next.

Stormy’s Thunder is book two in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series by Manda Mellett. Story’s story is yet another gripping and emotional story that is enthralling that I was incapable of putting it down. The dialogue was on point and the overall story was edgy and dramatic. All the things I love in a story. Manda Mellet always delivers a tale that has me totally engrossed with my heart beating wildly and a dessert dry mouth. Her characters are real, direct, imperfect, yet they have an uncanny ability to worm their way into your heart even if you don’t particularly like them in the beginning. You cannot help falling for them and their battles/hardship. Their integrity is strong and their devotion, once accepted, is liberating. I always take a little of each characters with me at the end of very story I read. With these characters, I take a lot more with me. I love these men and women. I love this series. I cannot wait for more. 5 stars.

McKinley is a go to author for just really good contemporary romance. Gabi and Mason were a great pair to get to know and watch develop a relationship with one another. Ride with the Moonlight by Andrea Matthews is the second book in the Thunder On the Moor series. This can easily be read as a standalone story but I highly recommend reading the series in order just for a better flow to the series. This is a fun historical romance read. Maggie is a time traveler and she has traveled to the sixteenth century with her family. Will be Scotland of the past be what Maggie expects? The story is well thought out and I enjoyed the different characters. She is in the middle of political intrigue between England and Scotland and unsure who to trust. I really like the story and look forward to how it progresses in the series.

“Crave” is a soap opera in book form. The romance is strong and sexy, the families are strong and crazy, and the characters are strong and stubborn. This book was one of my favorite romance novels by far. It was funny, addicting, and filled with hot, lusty love scenes. The fact that the relationship was one that deals with race and different backgrounds is a wonderful touch to this book. The family’s interactions with each other and the main characters were priceless. The different relationships happening between families makes this book relatable to everyone. I loved this book and I recommend it to anyone who loves drama. In this book, all are welcome, and there’s something in it for everybody.

Twisted Secrets is the first book in the Deadly Isles Series. It is written by a new to me author, so will most certainly be reading more of her work. The writing draws you into the story and keeps you very intrigued. This story has it all let me tell you! Crime, danger, suspense, drama, attraction and love. There is betrayal, deception, and of course murder. My favorite thing was the absolute instant attraction between the main characters. The story does take place in Hawaii. Riley is a college student who works at a coffee shop. Xander is an injured soldier on military leave. You are kept guessing until the very end. Definitely a plot twist. Was very surprised on the end for sure. I loved every minute of reading this story and was not disappointed at all. It is a great read!! Can not wait to read book 2 in the series.
