This is a great read! I loved that Zoe is nerdy and snarky. Her wit is fabulously executed. The way she doesn’t back down from Archer creates spectacular tension between them. I loved the reappearance of the two neighbor characters. The odd pairing adds a little comic relief when they bicker with each other. The complexity of Archer’s character is excellent. The fight scene in the club shows his demons a bit. Cold Bastard is an excellent reading adventure. It’ll keep you turning the pages.

I have been such a fan of the Rogue Series by Lara Ward Cosio from the very beginning, and this one just took first place as my favorite. Rock Star on the Verge is such a beautiful and well written story with so much emotion and deep heartfelt scenes that you can’t hardly put it down from page one until the very end.
I was so ready for Conor Quinn’s story after meeting him in an early installment in the series and so this was one I was connected to before I even picked up the book. This is truly a journey you will take, a road trip to beautiful places, as Conor travels on motorcycle with the Rogue groups bassist. Together they help Conor find his love and his story that he wants to tell with his music. The added layer of romance with Conor’s wife was a sweet and refreshing spin on the romance factor. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end and I am so excited to see what we will get next from Lara Ward Cosio!

This is an intense story. I love how strong of a character Deva is. She hits a great balance of fierce and feminine. I enjoyed the way the layers of backstory were dripped throughout. The timing of it added depth and emotion. There is an emotional moment in chapter thirty-seven. Not going to lie, I teared up. Lost Bastard is a stellar read. You won’t be able to put it down.

Wild Bastard – Isabel & Kai Wild Bastard is a great second chance romance with a kick. Isabel is a strong, smart, self-made woman. I loved her character. Getting to know Kai was interesting, but I will say that of the brothers so far, I connected with Kai’s backstory the least – which is odd because I usually connect to military characters pretty strongly. It might be because we didn’t really get to see how his past affects him to the extent that we see it with Archer and Aleksei. It’s mentioned a couple of times, but we don’t see the intense emotional toll so it feels superficial. One thing I loved about the story is that Isabel chose to hang onto a piece of her past and used it strategically. Her relationship with her mother regarding that piece is awesome. Overall, this is an amazing, intense story that will grab a hold of you and won’t let go.

True Bastard is the fourth book in the Dark Sparrow series You could probably read this as a standalone, but you’ll enjoy it more with the backstory from the other books in the series.
I have to say, I relate to the opening in chapter one where Liam feels like meeting Catriona is a cosmic joke. I have felt that way many times in my life. Things seem to line up perfectly, and then the universe lowers the boom. I felt for the guy, lol.
This story is everything you would expect from this author – great chemistry between the characters, adventure, angst, and romance. Once you start reading, you’ll stay up all night just to finish it!

Accepted by Lisa Wood is the 2nd book in the Rhodes Family series by Lisa Wood. This is definitely a book for the 18+ age group due to the adult content. The author request this series should be read in order to get the best enjoyment from it. One thing I have to say about this series is that if you read book 1 ‘Shattered’ it contains many spoilers for what happens in Accepted. In fact the outcome of Accepted is given away but this didn’t stop me from reading Accepted as I was so intrigued as to how that outcome came about and after reading the prologue to this book, I was even more intrigued as to how this ending happened. In Accepted we get the story of Ava, sister of Gabriel from the first book. Ava is also a lawyer and senior partner in the family law firm and she knows what she wants but there are just somethings she’s not sure of how to get that. That being, her friendship back with Thomas and Hunter who were her best friends for a very long time. An event several years previously had broken up this very tight knit friendship and now Hunter has decided it’s time to get his best friends back. Is it too late so salvage what they had before? Can they all forgive each other and move forward? I loved this story and was hooked from the very beginning. I couldn’t help but root for Hunter and his quest to put to rights all that had gone before and get this trio back to the way they used to be and move forward. I look forward to reading more about the Rhodes family siblings.

This is a short story that is full of sports romance. This is an engaging, fast paced story. I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is a story about Grant who not only is a rookie but also has one of the worst images. What will happen when his team decides he needs to clean up his image? This is where he meets Emily but the problem may be that she is not the prim and proper everyone thinks she is. What will fate have in store for these two? I enjoyed their characters as they were connectable and made the story easy to read. Their chemistry is hot and I found myself hoping they would get together. They are well rounded and supportive. I highly recommend reading their story. I don’t regret picking up this book and neither will you.

I loved this book. It is one of my favorites by this author. The characters are so connectable that they pulled me into their world easily. This is a well developed story that has so much attention to details that I felt I was right there. This is a story about learning to trust and putting the past in the past. Harleigh goes on a vacation to get away from her past. Giovani who has a past of his own is the owner of the hotel which she is staying at. They are both in need of healing and finding themselves. Will they be able to do that together? Will one help the other to heal and learn to trust again? I enjoyed the emotional roller coaster and the heat they bring to the story. I really felt for both of them as they both had been through so much. I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story. I highly recommend this must read story and this great author.

Better To Have Loved By Christy Nicholas 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Better To Have Loved by Christy Nicholas. It is a beautiful story that pulled me in from the beginning. I love the character of Julie Jensen. She is a young woman who is making her way in life. She is a wonderful artist and has a passion for life. This story chronicles her adventures, her loves, and events that change her life. Julie’s character is one that I grew to love with each chapter that I read. You can’t help but want her to be successful and happy. The book is an emotional one and mine went up and down the entire time I was reading the story. This is a book that I found myself getting lost in. The author has an amazing talent in making both the storyline and the characters come alive. I also enjoyed the secondary characters and their interactions with Julie. Don’t miss out on a story that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

4 Star HIGH FLYER (Verdant String) by Michelle Diener is a wonderfully written Sci-Fi/Fantasy/ Romance that is fast paced and packed with action. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till I finished. This is my first book by this author but definitely not my last. I didn’t realize until I started reading that this is the fourth book in the series but each can be read as standalones. Im definitely going to check out the others. Hana and Iver , she’s not looking for a relationship and seemed a bit standoffish at first and he feels like he got his position by default. The one person he wants acts like she has no interest. But does she really? What happens when position puts them on the run? Find out what happens next. I highly recommend reading this book and can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Better To Have Loved: A True Story by Christy Nicholas was a great read. It is a little different from the other books of hers that I have read- but still had all the touching and emotive qualities that I have come to expect from her books. As the title would suggest, this is a true story- based on her parents love- and as the author tells it, this is the story that inspired her to begin her writing career. This is a story of love, family, growth, a little mystery, adventure, memories, hope, and faith. I won’t reveal any of the details- as I really think this is one story that you should go into without knowing too much- and let Ms. Nicholas and her story, surprise you. Well done!

The Body Collectoris the third book in the Bad Boys of Space Series by Landra Graf. It is a bit of a swashbuckling space adventure- a sci-fi romance with drama, intrigue, suspense, a little mystery, plenty of danger, hidden agendas, betrayal, corruption, politics, violence, murder, crime, humor, banter, set-ups, gun fights, and some incredible world building. The story could be read as a standalone as each book in the series focuses on a different couple- but having said that, some of the characters play a part in each book, meaning there are quite a few recurring characters that add an interesting dynamic to the story/series. I really recommend reading the first two book before reading this one, as they will certainly elevate your enjoyment of this book with character details, dynamics, and interesting backstories. Loyda Miles is an Investigator working undercover- assigned to try get to the bottom of a drug distribution ring- and find out why so many people have disappeared from all over the sector. Her search has led her to a BCS (Body Collective Service) ship and its motley crew. So, she signs on as part of the crew to see what she can unearth. Loyda soon realizes that what seemed like a simple undercover assignment isn’t quite as straightforward as she thought- and she may be completely out of her depth. Finding the crew involved in some shady and illegal dealings, she uses the information to blackmail the hunky captain into helping her with her mission. Things get even more complicated when her boss is killed and she is accused of the crime. Loyda is now on the wrong side of the law- a fugitive, and at the mercy of the very man she blackmailed not so long ago. With danger lurking around every corner, sizzling chemistry about to boil over, and the authorities hot on their tail- Loyda is determined to uncover the person/s responsible and clear her name. But she is up against a powerful enemy who is determined to stop the real truth from ever emerging- at all cost! So, strap yourself in, because this quite a gripping ride.

Beautiful story for young adults trying to make their way in the real world as love is pertained to. This story is about taking chances in love and life with your goals. As we enter these characters’ minds, we realize what their doubts and fears are but this makes the perfect love triangle that we don’t know which man to choose for Chloe. Easy to love characters, romantic scenes and very entertaining. This book is a great read!

Perfect always is a Young Adult romance where the vivacious bubbly heroine Chloe has to make a choice between her old flame, who lives in the country side or the basketball player, with whom she starts a budding relationship. Parts of this book reminded me of Sweet home Alabama. If you are looking for a light-hearted romance and a quick breezy read, this book is for you.
Perfect Always by Tricia Copeland is part of the Perfect series, and an amazing read! This book is definitely a standalone, you don’t have to read the first one to understand the plot and story of this one. I absolutely loved reading this novel! Very well written, with a great plot and storyline I could hardly put it down until I finished it all. I enjoyed all the characters, they were absolutely great! And it was very romantic, without all the steam if you don’t enjoy the raunchy-ness of other romance series. It was also very easy to read! This was the first book I’ve read from this author but it definitely won’t be my last. I highly recommend this novel!
THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3) by Tamara Ferguson. Once again this author knocked me off my feet with a story I loved every minute of. Ashley and Brian pull you so completely into their story you may find it hard to believe it’s all words in a book. Each character brings something unique to the storyline and are so well developed I felt an instant connection. This isn’t my first book by this author but I’ll be honest it is definitely in my top 2 favorites of her books. This one had a bit of a different feel to me in all the right ways. I found myself lost in the pages and not caring how long I was there for. I simply couldn’t put it down. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything and the characters are incredible. Five huge stars and highly recommended. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next!

She’s No Cowgirl is an entertaining sports romance by Brooke May. I have read a few of Ms. May’s books now and as I have mentioned previously, I love the way she brings her characters to life, and how easily she is able to get her readers invested in both the story and the characters. Her characters are so realistic and entirely believable. With some secrets, drama, and a little scandal- this story certainly held my attention the whole way through. I liked Hunter and Kennedy- they really were perfect for each other. Each trying to forge their own way, each determined to keep true to themselves. When their worlds collide, things got quite interesting. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. May has in store for us next!

Rock Star on the Verge (Rogue Series Book 9) by Lara Ward Cosio is a coming of age story but not just for the young character Donal but for the older character Conor who is turning the big 40. It is a story where we can all relate and think about a variety of topics such as what comes next, where we are in our lives and then there is the touchy subject of depression. It is a story where family lean and learn from each other and bonds formed. It is well written and definitely a journey in more ways than one.

Rockstar on the Verge is the ninth book in the Rogue Series by Lara Ward Cosio. I would class this is a ’second-generation’ story as it not only involves characters we have met and loved in previous “Rogue” series books, but now we get to meet/follow one of the “Rogue” kids- Donel Whelan- son of Martin Wheelan (from ‘Finding Rhythm’ Book #4) and nephew of Connor Quinn (from ‘Playing At Love’ Book #2 and ‘Felicity Found’ Book #6). This is a superb coming of age, Rockstar adventure- a journey of discovery on a road trip through Europe, with emotion and some drama. Ms. Ward Cosio’s attention to detail, and masterful character development gave this story a real heart and soul- and made for a wonderful read. I love this series, so I was quite excited to get my hands on this latest instalment. To be honest, though, I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy it as much as the previous books, as I really didn’t know how I felt about a second generation story- could Donel live up to the older generation- the Rogues. But I needn’t have worried as Ms. Ward Cosio quickly drew me into her story and soon had me investing in everything that was going on. The fact that the story is told from multiple perspectives, characters we have followed in the past, as well as Donel- really gave this story extra dimension and depth. I am impressed by Ms. Ward Cosio’s ability to write complex, realistic and believable characters and giving her stories a real emotional factor. She also doesn’t shy away from sensitive topics- and doesn’t try to gloss over any of the grittier details. A worthy addition to the series! I am looking forward to seeing what Ms. Ward Cosio has in store for us next!

Wow…there is a lot going on in this book and it is an amazing ride. While this book may be intimidating due to the amount of pages, I found myself flipping through them so fast and I arrived at the end of the story before I knew it. I was so engrossed in the story that I completely tuned out the world around me.
Martin, the CEO of Chase Security, is called home when his brother ends up in the hospital. Elizabeth is the doctor treating Martin’s brother. The two share a heartbroken past that they must face when they see each other again. This is not your typical second-chance romance, though. First, R.L. Dunn makes them work hard to move beyond the past and even have a chance at a future. Oh…and there’s the web of prisoner abuse and other crimes that they must unravel along the way.
This book was fast paced and action packed. I read it from cover to cover in one evening because I couldn’t put it down (I had to know how it was going to end!). There were twists and turns along the way which kept me fully invested until the end. I enjoyed the first book…but I loved this book! This series is amazing and I can’t wait to see what R.L. Dunn has in store next!

I love this second installment from the Chase Security series. I loved the non stop action that kept me on the edge of my seat. R.L Dunn is quite the storyteller and was able to tell so many sides of a story and I never got lost once. Dr. Elizabeth Reed is one of those strong female characters that you can’t help but love and Martin Bailey who will stop at nothing to bring to justice the person who has hurt the woman who has stomped on his heart and maybe win her?!?
I love this book and this author! I cannot wait for more!

I love picking up books and just knowing in your gut you are going to love every page. And this one definitely did that for me. I found myself anticipating what might happen, guessing how it would all unfold, and LOVING reading how the story proceeded. The main characters – fantastic, hilarious, real. I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit at the all too real scenarios in each chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed this romcom and will gladly pick it back up for another read very soon.

Secure Again is the second book in R.L. Dunn’s Chase Security Series. Just like the first book in this series you are hooked from the first page and the authors words keep you hypnotized until the last page, even then you want to just jump to the next book to keep reading. This book is filled with action, romance, and mystery. You follow the characters Dr. Elizabeth Reed who is a trauma surgeon and Martin Bailey who is a former Navy SEAL but now the CEO of Chase Security International. These two have a past but is the love they once had still there? Will she get to the bottom of the issues at the prison? The author did an amazing job writing the storyline and book altogether. I cant wait to read Book 3 in this series.

As a nurse and a fan of the spirit world, I couldn’t download Kate MacInnis’ book Distant Heart Sounds fast enough. Kate MacInnis kicked off her Nurse Morgan series with a fantastic, fun read. While the book had a lot going on, the storyline never once felt forced or overwhelming. I enjoyed the book from start to finish and truly loved nurse Morgan. I am beyond thrilled to read on in the series and “get to know” Kate MacInnis’ writing even more. I loved the book so much, I’d venture to say 5 out of 5 stars.

This is not my first book by India Kells but I would have to say that this is one of my favorites. India Kells puts a lot of heart and soul into her characters. They are fully developed and have unique qualities. She gives them such personable personalities. Take Liam, he is a cop and he wants to make his father pay for wrongdoings. Now there is only one who can help him and that is Sister Catriona. You read that right Sister Catriona, as in a nun title. Sister Catrionais great at numbers and he feels like she can help him. Then something happens that changes Liam’s feelings for Sister Catriona. You will have to read the book to see what happens.

If you are looking to read a fun exciting short read, look no further this book is for you. In everything that is going on around us in the world, we need to find something to get lost in for a while. The story is a simple plot line. What makes this story great is the characters. The characters are adorable. Morgan is a nurse who does not believe in paranormal anything until she had a near-death experience. That opened her eyes to a lot of things. While she was skeptical at the beginning, she finally learns that she needs to be open to different things. She realizes that she in fact has feelings for a special doctor. This book has a little bit of everything, romance, humor, and mystery. I highly recommend this story as it will be a short fast read.

Distant Heart Sounds (A Nurse Morgan Series #1) by Kate MacInnis
This is the first book by the author that I’ve read, but I will be on the lookout for others. MacInnes has done a phenomenal job with this.
Morgan, a nurse, is now able to see things she hasn’t been able to before. Thanks to a near-death experience she knows she has roommates. The quote I chose for Morgan is: “No, it’s actually good logic. Who’s to say? Maybe I need to do more research.”
Caleb, a new doctor in town, meets a fantastic nurse. He invites her out after having a chat with her. They have something in common. They can see auras. The quote I chose for Caleb is: “You won’t believe this, but it’s almost 5:30 p.m. Would you like to go to a local place and have an early dinner? We’ve eaten so much junk today, I genuinely need some solid food to balance all the bad. How does that sound?”
