REBECCA STEELE FINDING A DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES BOOK 2) by JOANNE PATTERSON – Review by Liz Vrchota

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream (Rebecca Steele Series #2)Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I haven’t had the pleasure of reading a JOANNE PATTERSON novel before this one but I was glad that I gave the new to me author a chance. This book may have started a bit slow but for me it really took off once it did and actually left me reeling for a bit more at the end. I was not expecting the ending and I really do love books that can lead me on a bit and spin the whole thing around 360 quickly. It makes the book memorable and long lasting for me.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM is the second book in the REBECCA STEELE series from Joanne Patterson, but I was able to read it without the first one and enjoy it, although I will go back now and check out the one I missed. We find Rebecca as she is leaving the life she has known behind for a more fast and exciting one on the rodeo circuit. She stumbles into country music in the process and things seem to be going well for Rebecca until the twist you don’t see coming… you will have to read that for yourself, but this is one you don’t want to miss. Wrapped Up In You by Erin Bevan – Review by Liz Vrchota

Wrapped Up In YouWrapped Up In You by Erin Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Erin Bevan is one of my favs for feel good love stories and she didn’t disappoint with Wrapped Up in You. I really enjoyed the Christmas and cool theme even though it was mid-summer when I read this. It was a nice break and fun to revisit that magic that seems to only come around once a year usually. Wrapped Up in You is a fast paced read that follows Jenny as she faces the clock in a race to find a hubby. The easy part is she found the man who gives her the warm tingly feelings, Logan. The difficult part is that a crash killed his memory and he doesn’t know if he is available to be married! Will these two find their happily ever after or will the mysterious past of Logan and the family constraints of Jenny be too much for them to get through? I can’t wait to see what will come next from Erin Bevan.

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race – Review by Lianne Probert

The Matchmaker and The MarineThe Matchmaker and The Marine by Lucinda Race
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Matchmaker Melinda Phillips has devoted her life to helping others find love. Having tragically lost her husband, and childhood sweetheart, in a hit and run accident, Mel’s job is to help others find love like theirs.
Adam has heard a lot about the matchmaker that helped his friend find love. He’s interested in seeking her expertise, but when he falls for Mel can he make her see that she’s allowed to love again? And, can he trust her with his biggest secret?
When Mel hires Adam to work in her garden she gets to know him better, and a playful friendship takes shape. With Adam going on a string of unsuccessful dates the pair have plenty to keep them busy.

Mel and Adam are both such lovely characters you can’t help but wish them well. They both have a lot of baggage, but for me, this makes them more relatable and real. I was rooting for them to get the happy ending they deserve. I was keeping my fingers crossed that this second chance at love would work out for both of them. The story is easy to read, perfect for a cosy afternoon.

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) by CA Miconi – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs, #2)Be One with Me by C.A. Miconi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this small town romance set in the small southern town of Green Springs, Mississippi, “Where the days are hot and the nights are hotter!”
This is book two in the, “Finding Love in Green Springs” series but a can be read as a standalone story or part of the series. Having read and enjoyed, ‘Be Brave with Me’, I was looking forward to going back to Green Springs and I was not disappointed. In this story we meet city girl Sally and country boy Nolan, two very different characters but when they meet their chemistry sizzles off the page.
Sally has it all, her own successful business, an upscale condo in the city, and plenty of money in the bank, or at least it looks like that to everyone else but for Sally things are very different . Sally is lonely following the death of her mother and wants her own family. Following her mother’s shocking death bed confession and then suffering a violent attack, Sally leaves behind the city and the only life she knows. Meanwhile Nolan also appears to have it all, his own business, the pleasures of small town living, and plenty of money in the bank. However Nolan is also feeling lonely following his wife’s death, and he is longing to fall in love again. Nolan is very settled in the town he grew up in and which his ancestors founded, Green Springs. When Sally also finds herself in the small town, the couple begin a relationship but their differences threaten to come between them.
I fell in love with Green Springs all over again and thanks to the authors wonderful world building I could picture the town and felt immersed in the story. Both Sally and Nolan are great characters and although they are complete opposites they have both lost a loved one to cancer. It was an emotional read but a heartwarming one and I really wanted Sally and Nolan to find love.

Love Comes In The Mourning by Erin Bevan – Review by Angela Hayes

Love Comes in the MourningLove Comes in the Mourning by Erin Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love Comes In the Morning by Erin Bevan is a contemporary romance- sweet and emotive with a little angst, city girl vs country boy, both still hurting from past love, chemistry starts to sizzle and temperatures rise, but will they risk their hearts again on a new chance at finding love again? This book is well worth the read to find out.
After divorce send her reeling, Leslie DeLoach could do with a stroke of luck as she embarks on a new beginning. She gets her lucky change when she inherits her aunt’s manor house and thinks things are finally taking a turn for the better. But when she lays eyes on the manor she only sees how much work there is to restore it- as the house is in dire need of some TLC- and this is where handy man John Hambrice enters the picture- and the story really gets interesting.
A little slow to get going and it took me a little bit to connect with the characters- but that really didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the story.

Thank you, Erin Bevan!

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race – Review by Angela Montoya

The Matchmaker and The MarineThe Matchmaker and The Marine by Lucinda Race
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

5 years widowed
4 friends in love
3 boarders of ocean
2 second chances
1 gray striped Skye

The Matchmaker and the Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance, is a beautiful, slow-burn tale of healing hearts, self-forgiveness, and second chances. Lucinda Race has written such relatable and heartfelt characters in Melinda Phillips and Adam Bell. The realness of their doubt and grief; how even the smartest and most logical people can see they are not acting rationally, due to fears, losses, and regrets. Wanting so desperately to find happiness again, yet still not able to find the hope or strength to change course. You don’t have to be Marine to understand and sympathize with Adam’s trepidation of opening up. You don’t have to be a widow to feel Melinda’s loss of her husband so acutely.
It would have been easy to stay on the path life throws you on. It would have been far less scary to not at least try at a second chance of love, more freeing to stay jaded and guarded. But to have missed out on your happily ever after would have been far more painful than living in your darkened past.
You won’t regret taking this journey with Mel and Adam….after all. Timing is everything!

5-Stars

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) by CA Miconi was a romantic tear jersey! Wow! This book was beautiful and really kept me hooked. It was addictive and written well. Nolan and Sally were both amazing characters with a lot of differences. One was city like and the other was country. Watching the two come together over a loss was magical and I loved following their story.

The story itself seemed to flow and the chapters transitioned well. I loved how fluid it was and how easily the author kept my attention. There was plenty of character development and she gave detailed scenery for the reader to easily visualize where they were. I really enjoyed this book and love this series so far. Easy 5 star read from my opinion.

Curse of Seduction (Dark Princes of Purgatory Book 1) by CR Robertson – Review by Kerry Carr

Curse of SeductionCurse of Seduction by C.R. Robertson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. Its a great love story that has elements of war and supernatural beings which i love.

Ezekiel is an incubus (sex demon) his main way of feeding is through sex, however when Ezekiel and the other 3 princes are cursed by Ophelia this simple act turned into something dangerous as everytime he fed off a woman Ophelia would take something from that woman leaving them just a shell.

Because of this Ezekiel refused to feed. The war is ranging between Ophelia and all the demon realms as she trys to take over them using power.
Ezekiel sees no hope until Ilana came into his life.

Ilana has grown up thinking she was half vampire, half human however that proves to be a lie when she starts to show that she has magical powers. With her increasing magical powers and her love and attraction to Ezekiel could she be the one to break the spell on the 4 dark princes and finally defeat Ophelia? Or will she end up just a shell of the woman she was.

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) by CA Miconi – Review by Lisa Helmick

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs, #2)Be One with Me by C.A. Miconi
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed book one in this series. This one seemed so different. I just didn’t really feel the connection and it seems more of a story about Sally’s life. Almost the romance is a secondary story. Sally and Nolan don’t really spend too much time together. She was sassy with him upon first meeting but after that it just went downhill.
The story by itself is nice. Chapters are relatively short but I did find myself drifting because I wanted to get back to the couple’s story. The characters just didn’t do anything for me. Secondary’s are better… we do get to see Meg and Drew again.

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town RomanceThe Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The matchmaker and the marine was a great book that was well written with great characters.
The two main characters have their own issues.
Melinda moved to Chester to start a new life after losing her husband and facing memories everywhere in her home. It was to much for her to handle. In Chester she has become a very successful matchmaker who gets referral and referral from the many HEA’s she has played a part in creating.
Adam is in Chester staying with a friend who is like a brother. They have been best friends for many years. Adam is at a wedding when he runs into Melinda. They start to talk about how they both know the couple and become quick friends. Adam hires Melinda to be his matchmaker but things don’t go very smooth for him. He’s ex military with many emotional and some physical scars. Adam not only hires Melinda but she also hires him to do some work in her yard. The chemistry is amazing between these two main characters throughout the book but is it enough? What happens when a secret is exposed that isn’t ready to be told?
I thought this was a really great book and look forward to many more from this author. This is definitely a book you do not want to miss out on!

Being Lost (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Jonell Collins

Being Lost (Satan's Devils MC San Diego #1)Being Lost by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Being Lost (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1) by Manda Mellett , is a great love story. A classic woman in trouble, man stops to help read. It is all that and more. Plenty of action and suspense. Lost is a man unsure of himself and in bondage to his past. Patsy and Lost together have certain aspects of their past they must deal with in order to forge a future. When we allow ourselves to be chained to the past we can never move forward. And sometimes the forward is such a rich adventure, it would be a shame to miss it. This story illustrates that. Be forewarned, there is much mature language in the story and some very mature situations.

Being Lost by Manda Mellett is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series. This is yet again the start of an amazing series by a brilliant author.
Every time I pick up a book by this author I know I am going to absolutely love it. This book has everything I have come to expect from her books – strong and engaging characters with an interesting story line to back them up.
The thing I liked the most about this book is that the author created such relatable characters who were also older. It isn’t too often you see an author try this and succeed and yet this author pulls it off with ease. I was instantly drawn to them and was sucked into the story. I found myself flying through this book and really didn’t want it end. This is another strong start and I am already looking forward to what else is to come.

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) by CA Miconi – Review by Karyn Taylor

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs, #2)Be One with Me by C.A. Miconi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Be One With Me is the 2nd book in the Finding Love In Green Springs series by C.A. Micone. Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone. I had not read the first book in this series and did not feel as if I was missing any necessary information.
The book starts with Sally grieving the death of her mother from cancer. A shock confession on her deathbed has Sally reeling from the realisation that the father she always thought was dead was actually still alive. On finding her long lost father, Sally moves to Green Springs to be with her new family. One person she meets here is Nolan, a man who is coming to terms with his own wife’s death from cancer.
Sally and Nolan are total opposites. Sally is from the city, whereas Nolan is a country boy at heart. But they do say that opposites attract. Can the fact that both are coming to terms with the loss of a loved one to cancer bring these two together?
I loved Sally and Nolan’s story. Both are still hurting so much. Sally is also struggling to recover from a brutal attack on her just before she left the city. This book will take you through so many emotions. There’s tears and loss, fun and laughter, drama and a great storyline that will keep you want to keep reading.
I really enjoyed Sally and Nolan’s story and I’m sure many others will enjoy it too.

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs, #2)Be One with Me by C.A. Miconi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Be One with Me is the second novel in the Finding Love in Green Springs series. It follows Nolan and Sally who we met in the first novel, Be Brave with Me.

Sally is a city girl. Her whole life was in Chicago, her mother, her store, her life. But when her mother passes away and drops a shocking piece of information before her last breath, Sally has a goal. A goal to not be alone in the world anymore.

Nolan Green is part of Green Springs founding families. He owns and runs the auto shop in town. When he gets the call for a tow one day, he meets the most beautiful woman. Someone who isn’t from Mississippi. Quickly he finds out though that hid southern boy charm may not work on the only woman that has peaked his interest in years.

I really enjoyed Nolan and Sally’s stories and getting to know more of the Green Springs world. I loved that this story was happening at the same time as the first, so you still got a glimpse of Meg and Drew. I cannot wait for the next novel in the series!

The Matchmaker and The MarineThe Matchmaker and The Marine by Lucinda Race
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a small town, second chance at love romance story by Lucinda Race, and is a sweet and inspiring read which took me on a rollercoaster of emotions whilst reading it. Widowed matchmaker Melinda Phillips wants everyone to experience the kind of love she had with her husband and sadly lost. However Melinda has vowed never to date again, and meanwhile handsome Marine Adam Bell has sworn to hide his handicap forever. Adam was injured whilst serving in the Marines and had his leg amputated which is a constant reminder of his war years. Melinda’s job is matching up perfect couples and her business is thriving and she is in demand. Adam’s girlfriend rejected him following his amputation and now he is determined to protect his heart fiercely. The two meet when Melinda trips over at a client’s wedding right into the arms of a sexy Marine, Adam. Following Adams chivalrous rescue whilst at a friend’s wedding he suddenly wonders if he’s given up on love too soon and signs up for Melinda’s services. Melinda discovers that Adam’s ideal candidate is actually herself and the pair start to date and soon their relationship is blossoming. However Adam still believes that his hidden disfigurement will come between them. Melinda and Adam must overcome their traumatic pasts and take a chance at love and happiness for a second time.
I loved the main characters, both Adam and Melinda were realistic and relatable, you could tell that they both had traumatic pasts and that their fear for the future was real. The chemistry between them sizzled off the page and I was cheering both on to their happy ever after.

This is a short story. One of those quick reads, to fill in that few moments you have to spare. Two young adults have one spot they both want. An old rundown mansion. Both of their reasons are valid, one has money and one does not. Will Griff and Casey come to an agreement? You will need to read this story and the others written by many authors.

This Anthology has many great stories and just as many great authors. The one thing I will take from Feisty Lawyers is the many new authors. I can add to my list of Must Read Books. Job well done Maggie Adams!

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream (Rebecca Steele Series #2)Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson a dreamy five-star read. This is number two in the Rebecca Steele series but they can all be read as stand-alone as I haven’t read number one and don’t feel like I’ve missed anything, but I do plan on going back and checking Chasing the dream as I enjoyed the style. This was one of those stories that will show you aspects of life that you don’t see, inspire us to take a chance. There are so many wonderful characters in this story, Becky herself obviously but secondary characters who brought the story alive. I also loved how the romance was sweet and honest, it added something to the story.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. The story is a lovely romance and the characters are so likeable you just want them together from the start.

Sally lives with her mother in Chicago. She has a good life, a successful business but things start to go wrong. Her mother passes from cancer and on her death bed she informs Sally that her dad isn’t dead as she had been made to believe all her life.

After tracing her father and an event in Chicago that leaves her feeling unsafe she decides to move to Green Springs to be with her father and family.

Nolan has lived in Green Springs all his life. Ever since losing his wife to cancer he has had no interest in woman since then. That is until Sally arrives.

His attraction to her is so strong but will the city girl fall for him or will she just see him as a country boy? Can two people from two different backgrounds come together and work?

Wrapped up in You by Erin Bevan a five-star read that you will get wrapped up into. I hadn’t read the synopsis of this one, so it was a wonderful winter surprise for me, this was so sweet and even though it’s a holiday read, it can be read at any time of the year especially if you need a sweet pick me up. The character names in this are crazy and will make you chuckle, and they are all so easy to relate to even if you have nothing in common. This will bring the magic to your life, there is something special about it, it transports you to a magical time. Logan made me smile with his quirks and memory issues, the whole will he be chosen just added to the overall drama of this story, and what a story.

I absolutely love the San Diego chapter and I can not wait to get all of their stories. We knew Patsy’s back story for Ink and Beth’s book but to see her and Lost come together was great. Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5)Martimus by Seelie Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5) by Seelie Kay was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning. This was a great quick read. There are socialites that have gone missing, which includes a former vice president’s daughter.

Who is involved? Can Cate and the team solve the mystery?

Cate goes undercover trying to get information on the missing. I loved her possessive boyfriend Hazelton, he isn’t really thrilled about all the men eyeing up Cate. He is a former Navy Seal and can be very intimidating.

We get twists and turns, action, mystery, suspense and so much more. You can read it as a stand alone but reading in order will help you connect with the characters better. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today.

IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS (Irresistible Romance Book 4) Anthology

This was so refreshing to read right now. Things aren’t currently in the best place and it was so easy to lose myself in the stories of romance and weddings.

The one story I’m going to spotlight is the first book Two Hearts’ Alliance by Tamara Ferguson.

I think I have read all of the books in her Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series and I have loved each and every one and this was no different. I love how the spotlight is on soldiers who were injured while protecting us while they rehab and try to figure out their next step is.

Christine and Jeremy are no different. They connect the moment they’re introduced, but the timing was off. They meet up further down the road and the sparks are still there.

There wasn’t a lot of angst or back and forth with this couple and it was so nice to have something happy to take my mind away from life.

Love and happiness is something that is much needed right now and I got a lot of that with this anthology.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Be One With Me is the second book in Finding Love in Green Springs Series by C.A Miconi.
This is a wonderful contemporary small town romance- with opposites attract, plenty of emotion, drama, and steam.
Two characters who appear to have it all- but looks can be deceiving. These two both long for love, connection, to escape loneliness, and to have a family of their own. But one is a city girl through and through. While the other is definitely a country boy right down to his roots. So, what happens when our city girl needs an escape and finds herself in our country boys’ hometown? After all these two couldn’t be more opposite. But then you know what they say about opposites attracting. What happens next makes for a sweet and spicy read!
A great second instalment in the series- it kept me hooked from beginning to end. Looking forward to more!

Thank you, C.A Miconi!

Being Lost (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Being Lost (Satan's Devils MC San Diego #1)Being Lost by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Satan’s Devils world is probably one of the favorite series of books that I have ever read. They get better every time a new book is released. I feel like these guys are all a part of my family now…and I learn more about them as each book comes out.
Lost is the President of the San Diego club. The previous President did the club dirty and they have been trying to recover ever since. Lost is still unsure if he is doing right by all the members that rely on him.
Patsy has recently moved to San Diego to be with her son. They are starting over and no one is supposed to know who or where they are. When they find themselves in danger, Lost steps in to protect them.
Both Lost and Patsy have been burned by their exes in the past…and are both hesitant to start something. I enjoyed the fact that they were older and had life experiences that shaped their characters. Manda Mellett has, once again, written an amazing book that I thoroughly enjoy. I am looking forward to the next book!

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race – Review by Erica Fish

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town RomanceThe Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a story to two broken people who just happen to be at the same place at the same time. This sweet story of finding love after being hurt. Melinda is a widow who just happens to be a matchmaker. She lost her love and does not think she will find another one. Adam is a Marine who loses his leg and because of that, his girlfriend walks out on him. Can he ever find love again? Lucinda Race does a wonderful capturing of the pain Melinda and Adam have gone through in their life so far. The characters are relatable and realistic. The storyline is a sweet story. Can two people ever fall in love again? I highly recommend this story because of the simplistic love story.

Review:
Dare Me is book one in the new Demonology Series. Yes, demons, ancient evil, and all that implies. This is a story of what happens when a young woman willingly involves herself with a demon. This is my first book by Felicity Brandon, it won’t be the last time I read one of her books! Raif is an upper demon who is obsessed with Sara as he keeps watch over as he enjoys her pain and heartaches. Sara is a starving artist with as many problems as everyone else in the world. I quickly found myself at the end of this story and still wanting to read more. I would highly recommend reading it.
