Journeys Through TimeSpace is book 2 of this series and boy oh boy it does NOT disappoint!!!!! I definitely recommend reading book 1 first before reading this book, but the story is truly fantastic. While SCI FI is not my typical genre, reading these books made me fell in love with the genre when a story is so fantastic as this one. Book 2 picks up where book 1 leaves. You really get more in detail the stories of the characters and their agendas. I feel like I was along side with Matt, Julia and Dan as they embark on quite a journey. Truly Wonderful story and i enjoyed the adventure and mystery. Thank you Author James Talisman.

Excellent second book! Picked up right where it left off. It’s honestly so well written and will grab your attention whether you think Scifi is for you or not! I really enjoyed this despite this genre not being my number one fave! The characters are amazing and it wasn’t a book that dragged and dragged. The author has done an amazing job and im so grateful I got my hands on it! I couldn’t put it down and when I was forced to I was constantly thinking about the book and wondering what would happen next! Definately worth a read!!!

I was a little skeptical of this book at first. Some sci-fi books tend to have the same themes. But this book was quite surprising. It was planned out very well in regards to the story line. I love the accept of it being no so in the distant future. The society and how it functions in this book are all but too real! Fantastic.
WOW! This book immediately grabbed me and I couldn’t put it down. This author is new to me and I thoroughly enjoyed the thrill ride this took me on, in part because it is a highly plausible scenario. It made me think and consider current events as well as implications of next developments. If you want a thought provoking read that will keep you on your toes, this is a must read.
This Sci-Fi Thriller is full of suspense and the most unexpected twists and turns. This futuristic story captured my attention, and had me on edge from start to finish. It raises a great deal of question about our dependence on technology, and the role humans may one day play as things advance. Effacement takes places in a complete digital world in which everyone is equipped with a chip that is in a sense the essence of your existence and attached to every aspect of your life. This chip records every aspect of your daily life and daily functions require its use. When Cole the chips creator is attacked and his chip removed it begins a downward spiral of events. With his memories erased he becomes wanted by the law, and must go to extremes to clear his name. This book will keep you on your toes, and will be worth every page until the end.

This second book of Journeys Through Timespace is amazing! I couldn’t put it down! All of the obstacles that our hero’s face keep you on the edge of your seat. To see how everything comes together and is connected is something I wasn’t expecting. The part where we go to Atlantis is really awesome! I really enjoyed reading about all of the skills and abilities that are developed and perfected. Its a race against the reptilian humanoids for the sake of earth. I don’t want to spoil anything by saying too much! I cannot wait to read more from James Talisman!

We revisit the sci-fi world James Talisman has created. If you haven’t read book one, you really need to read it first. The storyline continues and involves many of the same characters. Matthew, Julia, and Dan continue being a force to be reckoned with, fighting for the good side. I really loved seeing Matthew and Julia’s relationship deepen and actually have an impact on their quest. Not to put in any spoilers, but I will admit that there were a few times I was on the edge of my seat about a few characters’ welfares. The villain is a true villain as you can’t stand him in the story. Be prepared to delve into a multi-universe with these books. Thank you to the author for a wonderful sci-fi world.

When it comes to Sci Fi genre, this is not my normal genre of book I typically read but I am so glad I did read this book. Cole Westbay has to find out what happened to him when he wakes up one day bloody. Everyone in the story must be micro-chipped; and when this event happened, his chip was removed, memories lost. Cole is the developer of this micro-chip and now with his chip removed, he must piece back together who would do this and why. This is a complex story but very well written. I couldn’t imagine a world where people are required to be micro-chipped to do anything. But I feel like this would be in our reality one day for sure. Very well done Author Hieronymus Hawkes.
Cole Westbay is a man living in a digital society with a neural interface the same as everybody else, in fact, he was the one who designed and created it, Vitasync received such a positive reception that now everyone has one and it is connected to a worldwide neural network where every citizen uploads their every thought, feeling and action into a lifelog. This neural chip has been integrated so seamlessly into everyday life that as the US Government reorganised and recognised this, they chipped away at the freedoms and liberties the general population had and they accepted it and as time progressed the lifelog became a necessity instead of a luxury, this is something that Cole didn’t agree with at all, but he couldn’t do anything about it. As Cole settles into his work at BioNarratus, he is called into his boss’s office where he is given a promotion and even though it is taking him away from the lab work he loves, he accepts it, but when the work becomes extremely demanding, especially as a file to do with untoward deaths which have been suggested that the Vitasync may have been dysfunctional and the causes of the deaths, so he finishes his most important work and them works on boards to try and find links between the deaths and what he finds is the opposite of what he wanted.
One day Cole wakes up with a splitting headache and none of his usual visual overlays are active, in fact, none of his technological advances are active and he has lost his most recent memory, he has no idea how the blood in the back of his head got there, or why when he sits up, his house is a complete mess, it has been ransacked and he fears he has been robbed. He feels so disconnected from everything that it takes some time for him to process his new situation, it also means that he can’t call anyone to check in with them, so in order to call the police, he has to visit his neighbour in person, it is awkward, but is a means to an end. As he waits for the police to arrive, Cole thinks about how different the world around him looks without his neural interface chip, he feels extremely disconnected and his anxiety is through the roof, but when the Officer eventually makes his presence known, it isn’t in a way that Cole expects and the fact that his lifelog isn’t active lands him in hot water and he is arrested.
As Cole starts to try and figure out what has happened to him and why, he ends up feeling like he can’t trust those around him, so after having to see a doctor about the wound on the back of his head, he goes into work to figure out what he was working on and see if he can pin down a timeline for the last couple of days. It isn’t until he manages to become somewhat connected thanks to a second hand interface system that he realises how being disconnected may not be such a bad thing after all, especially when he is mobbed by reporters until help arrives from a group of people who prefer to remain off the grid. Will Cole be able to figure out who was behind his attack and work out who he can trust out of those he is surrounding himself with, or will he end up more permanently disconnected in the process? This is a dystopian sci-fi adventure which creates a world that doesn’t feel too distant from the one we are living in now while discussing the pitfalls of technology in such a way that it really makes you think and keeps you intrigued all the way until the end when the conclusion is revealed.
I was excited to read this book and continue reading the second story in this series. I wasn’t disappointed! I honestly didn’t know if he could take me into a space story any more than he already had, but gosh was I wrong! I think I loved this book even more than the first one. I am so glad that he continued using the same characters and delved into their stories more. It was so nice to see how they were all connected not just in the now, but in the past as well. Once again, I felt like I was on this journey myself. A part of their group. He even threw some loops at me in this book and WHOA! I wasn’t prepared for some of the surprises I received. This could be read as a stand-alone story, but in my opinion, you truly do need to read the first book to really enjoy how well he writes and describes these characters and their world around them. Fans of sci-fi books will not be disappointed, and I highly encourage them to read it. However, even if you aren’t a fan of sci-fi I think you will still appreciate and love the journey that the author takes you on.

Dr. Cole Westbay has helped develop a chip that is used as a monitoring device for surveilling people. The chip is implanted in the back of the head and records the life movements of each person that has the chip embedded. With degrees in biology and chemistry and a master’s and Ph.D. in biochemical engineering, Cole has always dealt with the biological and chemical parts of the implant. He leaves the coding up to people like his girlfriend, Tesla.
When Cole wakes up after an assault and realizes his chip is missing, his life takes a turn that he never anticipated. He has to step back from being constantly connected to the virtual world that he has helped to develop. His assault leads to him being charged with effacement, not being connected to the network with a Vitalink. His memory is gone from the days before his attack, but with the help of others and piecing together the obtuse reactions of those he’s closest to, Cole goes off the grid to stay away from his company and the FDF, the Federal Department of Fidelity (a compilation of Homeland Security, NSA, TSA, Immigration, and a handful of other smaller agencies).
With the help of an anti-chipping group, Cole has a lawyer and a place to stay off the grid. He still doesn’t know fully who attacked him and what the involvement is of the people he was closest to while working on the Vitalink chip. Can his lawyer and the pieces of memory he gets back keep him from going to jail? And will he be able to fill in the blanks before it’s too late?
Journeys Through TimeSpace Is the second book in the Journeys Through series. I highly recommend reading the first book before reading the second one. The books really build on each other, and it wouldn’t be as good of a read alone. This is another not fluffy read that really makes you think. The characters really pulled me in, and I loved how I related to their friendship and bond together. James Talisman is a talented author, and he weaves a wonderful tale that is worth the time!

PHENOMENAL!!! Talk about a book that feels close to the future. This book gave me chills. The author has packed it full of thrills, mystery and suspense. When Cole has to depend on total strangers, I could feel for him. To lose trust in everyone you love is harsh and devastating but you have to try to figure out what’s going on. So well-written that I just couldn’t put it down. I had to read it every chance I had. The characters were each well-developed. You have to read this. 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend.
This is the second installment in the Journeys series by James Talisman. In book one, we are thrown into a multi-verse, where characters come from different places and backgrounds. In this book, the battle to save Earth continues, but this battle is a little different. Instead of only traversing across the multi-verse, the characters are now traveling through time as well. I highly suggest reading book 1 (Journeys through SpaceTime) before heading out on this adventure, as it will make much more sense. I was very happy to see some of my favorite characters from book 1 return (but I won’t spoil who!), and learn more about who they are, and why. I was so invested in this series, wondering and hoping along with the characters, that good will overcome evil (in a sense). I am not typically a sci-fi reader but this series had me on the edge of my seat and I flew through the pages without effort. I truly hope to see a 3rd book in this set, and 110% recommend this series to everyone! 10 out of 10 stars, easily.

Effacement is a sci-fi tech-thriller set in a future (2037) world where EVERYTHING is documented through a government-mandated chip. When a scientist who helped creat the chip becomes suspicious of some deaths related to the tech, he soon awakes to find his own chip and recent memories missing. Who is behind this set up?
I will admit that this isn’t my typical genre, but as a thriller it is a page-turner! If you like dystopian or futuristic books, you will love this one. It really hits home as technology advances and we look to control more and more virtually…
Journeys through TimeSpace (Journeys Through Book 2) by James Talisman is not just a great book for SciFi fans, it is a great book for any reader. I usually don’t gravitate towards this genre of writing, but, like the first book in the series, book two pulled me right in. In keeping with the first installment, book 2 is rich with character and description. The MultiVerse story follows closely the storyline of three friends (Matt, Julia, and Dan) as they work to keep Earth safe; however, running parallel, is the story of a reptilian leader on his own mission. I highly recommend reading book 1 first, as book 2 is a continuation. I found it quite helpful to already have a knowledge about the setting and characters and what drives them. I very much enjoyed falling into this author’s vibrant imagination and knack for engaging storytelling.

Effacement is a dystopian novel by Hieronymus Hawkes. Set in the near future, it plays with concerns about overreliance on technology and the normalisation of constant surveillance. It’s a wake up call – a reminder to consider what we’re willing to trade for the convenience of technology. Cole is a fitting protagonist for this cautionary tale. Although he works for a big tech firm, he’s not averse to use old fashioned methods to approach problems. But when he wakes up to find he’s been burgled and all his devices, including an implanted chip, have been taken, Cole discovers that he can’t even call for help. Readers will enjoy following the mysteries at the heart of this story as they unravel. Changing narrative perspectives, as well as flashbacks, drop clues along the way. The reader is often a few steps ahead of Cole, and rooting for him to catch up before it’s too late. This book gets 5 stars from me, and I’d definitely recommend it to sci-fi fans who enjoy stories set in the near future. It will be an interesting book to return to in a couple of decades to see how accurate Hawkes’ predictions were!

Effacement was the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be my last. This was a truly highly entertaining read that had me captivated right from the first chapter. This story is gripping, intense, deep and complex. I loved all of the detail the author wrote with, it made everything feel really real in a futuristic way. This is the type of storyline that had me questioning everything, in the best way possible. I loved everything about this story!
I really look forward to reading more from this author in the near future and would absolutely recommend this book to others.

This book reeled me in from word one. The main characters and their relationships were realistic. Cole’s conflict within himself as well as his personal honor system were so relatable. The idea of the extent to which society could be altered due to technology was frightening but also realistic. The only thing that has ever freaked me out like the idea of technology taking over the world more than it already has is reavers from Joss Whedon’s Firefly. It is just too realistic and I was captivated, needing to know what happened next.

A gripping sci/fi thriller, this book is centered around Dr Cole Westbay , a gifted scientist who has developed the revolutionary neurochip, a kind of life log that the American population is required to have in order to get a job, open a bank account etc. Everyone in this society is dependent on this lifelog for their daily means and things seem to go smooth unless they don’t. Unless they find one fine day, there is breach, and there is a series of deaths. When Westbay begins to investigate, his work and life is put to danger and he must find out why and who is behind the cover up.
This was a very fast paced read, it showcases the downside of relying on technology too much, and for all we know our own society will be the same plight a few decades down the road. I enjoyed reading the book.
Effacement by Hieronymus Hawkes is one of those books that you just cannot put down once you start. This book is so good because it is so close to reality, and so utterly believable, that it really makes you think. I was completely drawn into this story and the events unfolding. I could imagine it all happening as if were there with the characters. This is a completely new author to me and I was really impressed by everything I read. The book was interesting and a unique concept but based in a plausible setting. The characters were easy to engage with. Everything combined made for a fantastic book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this to everyone!
This book is the second of a series. Like the first, it has many characters and storylines to keep up with. If you like series like GoT, this is absolutely a series for you! This book picks up where the previous left off, so while it’s not 100% necessary to read Journeys Through SpaceTime beforehand, it will definitely make the read more enjoyable and help you to understand the various characters better. I thought the continuation was very well-done and a great followup on the storyline. Overall, these books are a great read for anyone looking for deep, complex storytelling!

I love this book. I believe the communist would do something like this. It’s a scary thought. This book is expertly written. It’s the first sci-fi book I like.
Journeys Through TimeSpace is the second book in the Journeys Through series by James Talisman.
After reading the first book, I couldn’t wait to get stuck into book two. This genre really pulls me out of my reading comfort zone, but it was well worth investing time into this series. This book is filled with action, adventure, and wonderful characters. After being introduced to the concept of the ‘MultiVerse’ in book one, we are still battling to save planet Earth. It’s a battle like no other set in different times and worlds. The descriptive writing style really brings this story to life, I got lost in the worlds and characters and flew through this book. If you are looking for something different in the scifi/fantasy genre, I would definitely recommend this series.

Journeys Through TimeSpace by James Talisman is the second book in the Journeys Through Series. This book adds so much more about the wonderful characters we met in the first book. I highly recommend you read them in order. There are several different universes woven through the book and the author does a wonderful job of making the reader connect and care about what happens. This book has been an experience for me. I haven’t read many Sci-fi Multiverse Space books, but let me tell you I was hooked in right away! The author takes such care building the characters up between book 1 & 2 that you can picture these three college friends (Matt, Julia, and Dan) joking around and poking fun at each other. He connects them in a way that shows you their friendship and how they handle their hardships together along their journey that it grabs you and you can’t wait to see who does what next! You don’t NEED to read book one before you read this book, BUT I really recommend reading it!!. Book one shows you so much about each character, their species, each of their journeys, and much of their training and abilities being learned and used throughout both books. I’m not going to spoil anything but I enjoyed all the details brought to life in this set. I can picture some of the scenes like they were on cavus. You can tell that the author really put time in building each character, the worlds and scenes, the spacecrafts and their technologies, and even the knowledge behind the teachings and meditations. Again I haven’t read many books of this type, so some of the space lingo I was new to, but I picked it up pretty fast and I’m so glad that I did. You will love this journey and the race to save the world and more. Will these college friends, with the help of others, save everyone in time? Will they survive all their trails along the way? Or will they fail and doom multiple worlds? Buckle up for a Journey through space and time!!

Journeys Through TimeSpace by James Talisman is exactly the ‘more’ that I wanted from book one of the series!! I was super excited to be able to see some of my favorite characters brought back and learn more about their past, present and future! This is a complex book that you will not be able to put down. I read this book twice! The amount of detail the author was able to give readers with stories that jump back and forth was risky but it truly paid off. It had me hooked. I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Effacement by Hieronymus Hawkes is a sci fi dystopian thriller. It makes you wonder how far off we are to facing the same sort of thing in the future. I feel we are definitely headed that way if not already almost there. This is Hieronymus’s debut book, and it is well worth the read. The plot is complex, clever, and well executed. I was fully immersed in this compelling fast-paced story where technology is the power player. The characters are all well-fleshed out. Conspiracies, forgotten memories, on the run, danger, drama, thrills and so much more is what you get as you journey along with our MC.
Hieronymus world building is interesting and intriguing and keeps you on your toes in this futuristic tale.
The battle between good and evil continues in this second novel by James Talisman. I do recommend starting with the first book to gain some deeper levels of the characters before diving into this one, however it’s not mandatory and I could certainly have enjoyed this book as a stand-alone. Readers will now begin to experience more detailed layers of the power in the All That Is explored through the theme of unity vs selfishness. I loved following the fabulous trio of main characters through their journey of self discovery. They will literally travel through periods of time on Earth to collect pieces of an artifact that will be instrumental in protecting the planet. Simultaneously, a violent reptilian race travels through space towards Earth with a new destructive power unlike anything before. Will the trio pass the challenges before them in time to save the planet?
