Tapestry Of Worlds, Part Two: Running and Gunning by Hadley Thorne is a brilliant young adult story. This book can be read as a stand-alone although personally I would recommend reading them in order for a better understanding and enjoyment overall. I found this book to be a well thought out and gripping story. I was pulled into it straight away and soon found myself unable to put the book down. I really felt like I was on the journey with the characters, right there with them experiencing everything they did. The author has created what I think is quite a unique story. Although I have seen book that mesh magic and technology together I haven’t seen any try to do it in this way before. The book is exciting to read and I would certainly recommend it to any fan of the genre.

The veil between the worlds is growing thinner as a US Army Reserve team is brought in to do some high-tech intel gathering. This apocalyptic novel is a page-turner that tells a wonderful story of things unseen and how reality is just another myth that we learn to live.

This is the second book in this series. This is a Sci Fi Fantasy novel and is 124 pages. This story follows Jack and Cash as they work together to bring down the Black Queen. She is not only a cyberterrorist, but she also holds supernatural powers which she plans to use to tear down the barrier between two worlds. But Jack’s girlfriend, Erika, is helping them. Author Hadley Thorne’s second installment in the Tapestry of Worlds series: Running and Gunning is a YA dystopian, sci-fi book with fantasy elements. The story from book one (The White Raven Awakens) continues the storyline with descriptive writing cheating vivid scenes and believable dialogue. The protagonist Jack (a.k.a. Ransom), his bestie Cash, his girlfriend Erika (a.k.a. The White Raven), and his team of militarized shifters facing off with an opponent out unleash hell on earth: The Black Queen.
While the story has a classic good-versus-evil theme the dynamic post-apocalyptic world with well-developed characters makes it a page-turner. The addition of Norse mythology ties in with the magic system of the world the characters are fighting to protect the remnants of the world. I do favor how the supporting characters make this dystopia feel alive. Another positive note is that the Prologue and Epilogue are both worth the read (don’t skip them!). The ending does have the feel of a cliffhanger and I definitely want to know what happens next!

Keep in mind – I haven’t read the first book in this series when I happened upon the second one. Thankfully, the book itself is easy to follow, and the universe is easy to jump into. Unfortunately, there are some pretty significant editing errors throughout the book, which I found to be problematic and distracting from the actual reading process and kept me from really feeling like I was involved in the story. However, I really enjoyed the universe the author created and how in-depth the research went in ensuring that there was a unique, interesting story to be told. Overall, it’s definitely a great story, once you make it past some of the flaws in the writing.

I have not read book 1 of this series, but that did not stop me from reading the second, it is pretty much a standalone. It is filled with science-fiction, supernatural elements and has action and adventure in abundance. A group of shifters led by Jack and Cash, are up against a cyberterrorist called The Black Queen, who is a threat to the tech-world, she is trying to blend technology into a supernatural realm. Jack and Cash are allies with The White Raven. How they all stop the Black Queen forms the crux of the story. It is a very gripping adventure. I do want to dig in more about The White Raven, so I will go and read Book 1 now before I put my hands on Book 3.

This was an excellent read by Ms. Thorne! I enjoyed reading what was happening to Ransom and his team at the same time as Erika’s timeline was playing out. (Admittedly, I had to go back and read book 1 because I read this one first!) Their story is so intertwined that you knew what was happening to the other as you read. Her characters are people that you would definitely want to be friends with and have on your side should the end of the world happen!
I can’t wait to see how everything ties up in the end and how their past lives influence what happens!

Tapestry of Worlds, Part Two: Running and Gunning by Hadley Thorne is an intriguing mix of sci-fi, fantasy, supernatural, and magical realism- with post-apocalyptic themes, paranormal elements, magic, action, and adventure. Even though there are some editing issues within the story- I still think the premise is quite original and interesting- and I think it would make a great movie, television series, or game. Even though this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone, which is what I did. But this story has made me curious to discover what happened in Book One, so I will probably go back to read it as well as the next instalment, Of the Blood: Tapestry of the Worlds, Part Three.

Tapestry of Worlds, Part Two: Running and Gunning by Hadley Thorne was a very intriguing book. Even though I haven’t read Part One: The White Raven Awakens, there was still enough backstory cleverly woven through this book that it could be read as a stand alone. I will still go and check out Part One before moving onto Part Three though. The world is amazing and the mix of paranormal, current times and mythology had me enthralled. The writing was well executed and the characters were relatable. Not a cliffhanger but a nice set up for Part Three.

I enjoyed this young adult adventure story. This is a great story for any young adult who is looking for adventure and they will find it in this book. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help get to know the characters better but can be read as a stand alone. This is a well developed story that took me on an entertaining, fun adventure and fantasy. The characters bring the story to life and make it engaging. I enjoyed how they were not only paranormal but also creatures. This is a fast paced story that pulls you into a magical world of friends and enemies. I am happy I picked up this book and I think you will too. I highly recommend this book.

I am a sucker for a good fantasy novel, and this first installment of the Nite Fire series definitely shows promise and establishes a great foundation of the heroine and her journey for all of the books that follow this one. I adored the idea of a shapeshifting assassin from another world, and I loved the fact that she has a soft spot for humans. Her life is never boring, by default, but that leaves her kept constantly on her toes. To see what I mean, crack the book open and experience the adventure for yourself! Also, be prepared to need to order the next installment immediately upon completion.

Shape, shifting dragons, linked worlds and an imminent apocalyptic virus form the basis of this epic tale. This is the fourth in the saga although its easy to follow if you have not read the others. Dahlila, the protagonist, is easy likable with her spunky, brave, determined attitude. She cares about others and has a strong sense of right and wrong despite being brought up being taught the opposite and this really comes across with the author’s writing. I really enjoyed the character development playing out across the novel. The scene setting is brilliant I could really imagine myself in the Nite Fire universe. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Nite Fire: Slash & Burn by C. L. Schneider. These books just keep getting better. This author knows how to take readers on a ride they won’t soon forget. From start to finish I had a hard time living in the real world because all I wanted was to sink into the pages of this book. The characters are complex and truly unique, they bring this story to life so effortlessly. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed. I don’t want to give anything away so all I’ll say is go one click this entire series trust me you won’t regret it. Four big stars and highly recommended! Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next.

So, I have listened to the first book in this series on Audiobook, and I was thoroughly impressed by that, now, by no logic that I can ever explain I have hopped, skipped, and jumped to book 4. Though missing out quite a big portion of the story so far, I have got to say that Schneider does an amazing job of getting you up to speed, I didn’t feel lost and got the sense that the book could stand alone if it absolutely had to. Still, I would recommend reading the series in order, at least to limit any potential confusion. Badass Dhalia Nite is back, kicking ass and taking names. As always have got to love the character, she is witty, sassy, and self-assured, and also not an idiot, which is so nice to read. Doing what she does best, Dahlia keeps the streets safe from all manner of nasty beasties. But she notices that something isn’t quite right, with monsters pouring in from, what feels like, every available angle, she fears that she and her new team may not be enough to stop the destruction. I really enjoyed this book, and it was interesting to see how far Dahlia had developed, even though through my own stupidity I’d missed out on half of it. Gotta say that I absolutely adored this read and would recommend it to anyone that loves a fair whack of action and mystery. Schneider just knows how to drop you into a scene, making everything so vivid, it feels like you are actually there. She is a fantastic writer and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Slash & Burn (Nite Fire Book 4) by C. L. Schneider. I have loved this series and this is not my favorite genre so that says a lot. You could read this as a standalone but I recommend reading them in order to get the best enjoyment. We pick back up with Dahlia who is trying to get her life back in order as she is back to trying to save people. As the lies that have been spun for years begin to unravel Dahlia keeps coming back to the first case involving Ella Chandler. This leaves her not knowing who to really trust anymore. Dahlia figures out that if she doesn’t stop this stuff the world could be in jeopardy. Doing back to Dimerea with her team she is met with all kinds of danger. C.L. Schneider has not disappointed me with this installment of the Nite Fire series. Her descriptive writing style keeps me turning the pages. There were a few twists and turns and keeping me on the edge of my seat. The character development is complex and fully developed. Dahlia is back, who just happens to be my favorite character. She is an action character that keeps me on my toes. There is a charge afoot. Will it be a good change or a bad change? I highly recommend this story because it will be eye opening to say the least.

Schneider is without a doubt a masterful weaver of fantasy laden tales. These books just get better and better. This is the 4th book in the Nite Fire series. I have loved all these books so far. This book could be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series from the beginning. It is full of action packed adventure that keeps you gripped from beginning to end.
After the trauma and revelations of the last book Dahlia is trying to get her life back on track. She is back to her vigilant ways. Saving the humans from monsters but something is coming.
The blight is causing infections through every species that cross the exits. Most creatures are entering the human world meaning that Dahlia has a hard job keeping control.

This is the 3rd book in the Nite Fire Series and wow they just keep getting better and better. Like the second book this could be read as a standalone but I do really recommend reading them in order as the story is amazing. The books are full of mystery, danger, secrets and paranormal creatures. They keep you gripped.
In this story Alex Creed and Dahlia Nite are on the hunt for the creature supernatural or human that is leaving a load of dismembered body parts behind them. Trying to hide as much as she can about other creatures from her partner Dahlia has the challenge of that as well as solving and finding the true murderer.
Added to this in her spare time she teams up with her other partner Evans to solve and find his sister. Why did she disappeared and can they rescue her before its too late?

The web of lies that was spun years ago is starting to unravel. Dahlia is slowly uncovering the truth. Yet with every discovery, a dozen more questions remain. Everything seems to lead back to her first case involving Ella Chandler. When all evidence seems to point in one direction, Dahlia doesn’t know who to trust anymore. She has barely survived her last trip to Drimera and she’s still trying to pick up the pieces of her life and adjust to her new reality. She’s back to her vigilante ways protecting Sentinel City but now it seems that she needs to protect the world from total destruction.
This is an action packed fantasy novel. It will definitely keep you glued to your seat from beginning to end. It is book four in the Nite Fire series. I do suggest that you read the series from the start. It is an exciting series that keeps getting better with each book. There are so many plot twists in this story and the author did an excellent job of tying them together. I can’t wait for the final installment.
