Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1)Wayward by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) by Via Mari is another fantastic read from this talented author. I see Via’s name and jump straight in. I don’t even read the cover because I always know I am in good hands when it comes to her books. Wayward is a great start to another of her fabulous series and has many of my old favourites from her other series. Hot alpha men looking out for their own with the backing of their employers who trust them like family. And the romance is all hot tamale and sizzling to the point of boiling. Via has once again woven her magic and puts you through hoops where the drama and secrets, fear and pain, love and lies is palpable and we travel to exciting place. There is conflict with some of the most powerful and dangerous men in the world including several mafia families.

Jay met a siren but she only has eyes for his boss. The beautiful ballerina takes his breath away but how does he get her to see she is made for him and him alone but when a secret is brought to light he may just have to walk away with his heart in tatters.

I suggest you read the other series in order so you get the backstory of the characters and how they all fit together. You will thank me later.

Children of the Future by Jane Suen, did not end the way I was expecting it to end. I gasped and had an aha moment at the exact same time.

Telly and Billy working together to find the kids was very sweet. Telly went above and beyond what you think a school bus driver would do, but then again it’s a small town and everyone knows everyone so it’s a bit different.

This is a fairly short story which seemed even shorter due to getting sucked into the story. I would definitely recommend this book.

Children Of The Future was an interesting read. A group of children and their teachers suddenly disappear and they are discovered missing by the school bus driver Telly. Telly discovers someone was left behind and they really together to try and find the kids and teachers. I found the story line to be very unique and I was shocked by the reasoning of the kidnapping. I did feel like the book ended on a cliffhanger. I loved how kind and thoughtful Telly was toward the kids. He was also extremely motivated to locate them and went out on a limb to follow a possible lead. I really enjoyed this short easy read.

Children of the Future by Jane Suen was an interesting and mysterious read. This is not my first book by her as I have read several. Jane has a way to pull you in and keep you interested. Her books are unique and a little quirky. This book was very different. Not bad just different. I did like it because with all Janes book she throws something in there that we aren’t expecting. Overall I think Jane does a good job and I like her books. I’d read others. 4 star rating.

This is a short, mysterious, wonderful read. The author kept me guessing what could have possibly happened to the teachers and kids all the way up till the end. There is a good message in this book and I found it to be well delivered for all ages. I liked how concerned Telly was and how involved he got in the search and the fact that he took Billy with him and let him be a big part of the search. This was definitely a unique and interesting read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this book.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Children Of The Future by Jane Suen is a four star novel. As a teacher, this novel was somewhat hard to read because of having the missing children. I could totally relate with Telly, the main character, because he felt like he couldn’t stop until he figured out what had happened to the missing children from the school. With Billy by his side, they were able to look for the other children that were missing from the school Billy went to. He has no idea why he was spared, other than the fact that he had hidden in a cabinet because he was so scared. As this novel unfolds, the reader learns about why the children were taken and how that purpose can drive the future.

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Emma Morreale

Girl TrapGirl Trap by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cynthia Hamilton really knows how to grab me from just a synopsis. How could I possibly say no to two separate, seemingly straight forward cases of missing persons? I tore through this book to get to the part where Madeline reaches the Catholic school because how could that not be filled with mystery and delicious intrigue. With the topic of sex trafficking, Ms. Hamilton was not afraid to sugar coat some details and I really respect her for it. It will make some people uncomfortable to read but if it makes even one person get involved in fighting it, every bit of discomfort is worth it compared to what it could prevent.
This is absolutely the most intense of this series. I hope it keeps up because it makes for amazing reading but it also gets you in the frame of mind to follow Madeline and Mike’s lead and do something about it.

Girl Trap is the third book in Cynthia Hamilton’s Madeline Dawkins’ series and I absolutely loved the opening! You need to read the books in order to fully understand who Madeline is and how she has become the woman she is now!
In this story Madeline and her partner Mike are working on two cases at the same time. They solve both of them but it takes its toll and the writer leaves us at the edge of our seat at the end of the story, impatiently waiting for what is coming next! The story takes place just over one and half day and we are on such a crazy rollercoaster of human trafficking and mental illness and at times it feels so real that you forget that you are reading a book! Some would say that they want to escape the reality when picking up a book but the way Cynthia Hamilton tackles the darker side of our society, you forgive her and voluntarily join the journey!

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1)Wayward by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wayward is the first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. This series is a spin off from 2 previous series: The Prestian Series and The Torzial Affair. In this series we see into the lives and loves of the bodyguards whose job it is to guard the billionaires from the other 2 series.
Wayward centres around Jay who is the head of the security team and Sasha Koslov, a Russian ballerina who was previously involved with one of Jay’s bosses. Jay has been captivated by the beautiful, graceful ballerina from the first instance he saw her. Now it emerges that she is related to the mafia and her life is in danger, Jay will do anything to keep her safe.
This book will have you sucked right into the heart of the story from the very first page and will not let you go. It will drag you through a roller coaster of emotions and you won’t want to put it down. The characters are very well written and have so much depth to them, you really feel that you get to know them.
I really loved this book. I had not read any of this author’s work before but now I really want to read the Prestian Series and The Torzial Affair as I’m intrigued as to what has gone on with these characters previously.

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Shannon Fowler

Madeline Dawkins adventures….are never dull! And Girl Trap…wow! Probably my favorite so far. Some serious subjects covered in this story. Book three is a must read! But only after reading books 1 and 2!

Hamilton dives into a touchy subject, one that the real world is unbelievably discovering as well. Several girls have gone missing. Not all of the cases are the same, however there is more to it than meets the eye. Madeline and Mike have to use their MDPI skills during this story. They will have to go at it alone, as well, since this time there are so many situations arising and in different cities. Hamilton again has given us a story like no other. The adventure that Mike and Maddie take to solve their mysteries keeps you turning the pages.

I can recommend this story to the readers that like a little mystery mixed with a little action to keep you on your toes.

Children of the Future by Jane Suen is a short, mystery story. Telly is the school bus driver and finds that all the children except for one have gone missing from the school. Will Telly figure out what happened?
This is a quick read which doesn’t give away the crux of the story until the end. The story is written very simply and would make a good read for a younger reader as well as adult readers. I liked Telly and Billy but felt there was something missing from some of the other characters. I did not feel like their reactions were relatable to the news the children have gone missing. Overall, I enjoyed this story and like the story was told in the manner it was told. Everything worked together well.

Girl Trap is an exciting and fun read. The author immediately pulled me in from page one with Madeline’s flash back. It was gripping. I could not put this book down after that. This is the second book I have read by this author and it is the third book of its series. It can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed how easy the storyline was to follow as well as all the action and suspense. The author had excellent character development for all main characters and supporting characters. I highly recommend this novel and will definitely be reading more from her in the future.

Sacha is a lady I would love to be. She is everything sweet yet sassy. She falls instantly for Jay. Totally. Hard. The feelings are also felt by him. Their journey was fraught with suspense and dilemma, but blinding in it’s beauty. I have to say these are some of the most addictive and endearing characters O have ever got to know. Their story was sublime. 5 stars.

GIRL TRAP is the third installment in the “Madeline Dawkins Mystery” series. I think this is a series that should be read in order. There are vital details from the previous stories that are mentioned within the first few paragraphs.

GIRL TRAP is two stories woven into one book. The author writes very detailed scenes and I often found myself reading only the first sentence in each paragraph. There are twists and turns and some obvious directions and results.

I would have rated this a 3.5 star but the last two pages intrigued me enough that I will continue with the series.

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton. This is the 3rd installment of the Madeline Dawkins series and it doesn’t disappoint. Madeline a party planner and private investigator thinks things are rocking along same as ever when she gets 2 inquiries on the same day for a fairly normal missing persons case. But there is nothing normal about either of these cases. Two beautiful sisters are missing from Minnesota, one is an estranged heiress who has never touched her 8 figure fortune. More than enough reason for someone to kidnap her. When Mike Delaney, Madeline’s love interest and business partner heads to LA to search for his cousin’s missing girlfriend he finds out this case is a lot more than what it seems. Its downright dangerous. Will Mike and Madeline make it out of this case alive and with the 2 missing women or will the case finally be their last? I love these books and this one was no exception!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wayward by Via Mari a four-star read that will make you feel the dance. This is the first in the Billionaire Bodyguards series, and it shows promise of being another sublime series from this author. If you read the Prestian series you may see a couple of people popping up, but you don’t need to have read that one before you read this. Sasha Koslov is a complex character, I struggled with her at times as she was so complex, but once I got to know her, she really shined. Her relationship with Jay was equally as complex, but that is a different story all together. There is a great build in this story, and you will be turning the pages quicker and quicker, just to see what happens next. Bring on number two, I can’t wait.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Children Of The Future was a very different book than I am used to reading but it was interesting. The book is about a school bus driver named Telly. He discovers one day that the children that ride his bus have gone missing, with the exception of one boy (billy) who was hidden away in the cabinet on the bus. He takes it upon himself to follow the clues and with the help of Billy, he searches for the missing kids. Telly is the main characters and he is supposed to be in his 20s but for some reason I couldn’t not picture him being that old. He seemed very juvenile to me. Regardless this was an interesting book. The book is YA and I think older kids and young teens would enjoy this book. There is mystery and suspense and clues that you follow as the reader that help lead to the missing kids.

By: Cynthia Hamilton
My Rating: 3 of 5 stars

Girl Trap (Madeline Dawkins #3) by Cynthia Hamilton was a gripping suspenseful read that kept me reading.

The third book in this series, I was excited to get my hands on it. Now this is a continuation series, so I highly suggest reading the other two books or you will not be able to get the full impact of this story.

Going into this book I think I might have set the bar a little too high, as I very much enjoyed the other two books, but I found this one was a little off. Right away I got that feeling, there was a little back tracking with the character development, and well, at this point in the of story the MC should be solidified, and we should be seeing the results. It wasn’t like that for the whole book, as the second half was pretty great, it just felt like there was two stories in one. I also found that there was some filler, and over explaining that made the flow dull and a little, meh.

Outside of this, this book still had the same suspenseful feelings as the other two. The main detail was on point, and pulls you in. The overall plot is pulling, gripping and has you second guessing some details, making it fun and engaging. This book has a lot of potential, and I think it just needs some polish, and a little more direction, to make it pop like the other two. I will warn you this books does end on a sort of cliff hanger, so I am excited that there’s going to be another book.

So with all that said, this wasn’t a bad read and I did quite enjoy it. It was just lacking a little, and frankly I think it was more a bridge to get to that forth book. So to end, this books gets my recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Happy Reading

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton is a four star novel. This is the third novel in the series and I have loved getting to know the character of Madeline Dawkins. Madeline is an event planner and a private eye. Such a weird combination, but it works for her. This novel touches on some very real and traumatizing material such as sex trafficking. I love that the author was not afraid to publish this novel with this raw material in it because people need to be more aware that these kinds of horrors are happening and how to help stop them. I also love how raw the character of Madeline is. She is real and someone you can relate to. Sometimes authors put characters in books that are hard to relate to because of too much good or too much bad happening to them but Madeline isn’t like that.

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton is part of a series that is a must read in your summer “To Read” collection. Each book in this series adds additional depth and dynamic to Madeline and the mysterious events that embark within her life. This story may be longer than some, but at the same time it makes for a solid read that will keep your mind engaged giving more than some of the shorter mysteries that are out there. Prior to this series, I hadn’t previously read a book by this author and she has absolutely brought a new appreciation to this genre which is not normally my cup of tea. Girl Trap was a great read as Madeline and Mike’s journeys take them in directions unexpected.

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) by Via Mari is a romantic suspense by the author that wrote the A Prestian series. I enjoyed that series, but something about this latest book/series has stepped it up further and I loved every minute of what the author provided in this story. The premise of this story, provided in the synopsis, is only the tip of the iceberg for this captivating read. The author digs immediately in delivering epic dialogue and intriguing suspense that speaks to the reader making this story addicting, unable to put it down. The characters were incredible and their “adventures” make this story unforgettable. Via Mari is an excellent author and that talent shines in Wayward.
