If you are intrigued by any of these books at all, this box set is a must read. Because I promise once you read one, you will want them all.

If you are interested in the Brothers of Camelot series, this box set is a must read as it provides valuable insight into a few of the main characters.

Navone does a brilliant job describing mob life in Europe and somehow making it relatable whether that is a geography or life you are familiar with.

Beautifully written. Dramatic and emotional. Highly recommend!

My Life Series: Box Set contains the three book prequel to the Brothers of Camelot series. It can be read as a standalone, but once you read it you will want more. Be prepared for a Necie Navone addiction!!!
I love this series so much! It has everything you could want in a captivating read. There’s action, friendship, grief, loss, camaraderie, longing, suspense, emotion, playful teasing, funny banter, and lots of riveting of drama- in this bloody and somewhat violent, coming of age story- with a twist. It really reminds me of “La Femme Nikita” in a lot of ways- which I also love about it. I think this series would make a brilliant movie, television series, or telemovie!!

The Box Set contains:
-My Hidden Life (Book One)
-My Tragic Life (Book Two)
My Free Life (Book Three)

Alessandra Canzano was born into an Italian crime family, the only child of the powerful and ruthless Capo (boss). She is their Princess, treated as royalty and living a fairytale life- until her sixth birthday when danger makes itself known, changing her life forever.
Her father had big plans for her right from the moment she was born, but after the events at her sixth birthday, he becomes even more controlling and obsessive. Alessandra’s beloved Uncle was tasked with training her, as he would one of the men. From the age of six she learnt hand to hand combat, then at eight she began weapons training as well. She was to tell no one of her training, or the reasons behind it. She was to keep that part of her life hidden from her mother, grandmother, family and friends.
Aless soon became one of the best fighters in ‘the family’, easily able to out shoot and defeat any of the men in hand to hand combat. But she was also learning a lot more about her family, their business, and the role in it all. She feels the heavy burden of responsibility and expectation, wishing she could just live a normal life. She has one brief encounter with a boy that stays with her long after he’s gone. Holding that moment in her heart and dreaming of a life with someone who loves her passionately.
Although she may be the family Princess, she feels more like a prisoner. The more she learns, the more she questions whether she can be a part of that world anymore. She starts to wonder if she would be better off running away and leaving it all behind. With danger an ever-present part of her life, Aless will have to remain vigilant. She is determined to find a way to avoid what her father has planned. But what can she do? Will she have no choice but to buckle under the pressure to preform to his expectations? What exactly does her father have planned for her? What does she uncover along the way? Where does Greyson fit into all of this? Does she end up staying because she’s afraid of losing everyone she loves? Or will she finally escape her gilded prison? What does her future hold? Shocks, twists, tragedy, lessons and more await Aless.
Ms. Navone is a wonderful storyteller, weaving a superb story that plucked at my heart strings, had me on the edge of my seat most of the time- whilst also creating characters who came to life, pulling me into their world and holding my attention right through till the end. The story is told from several POV’s which gave the story an extra element of interest. There was a lot going on in this book, lots of action, suspense, some violence, emotion, drama, and just a drop of romance.
Highly recommended reading!!
Brilliant!

Thank you, Ms Navone!

My Life Series: Prequel to The Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone – Review by Jenni Bishop

My Life Series: Box Set: Prequel to Brothers of CamelotMy Life Series: Box Set: Prequel to Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Life Series: Box Set: Prequel to Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone is a box of amazing stories. These goodies all in one place is a bonus for anyone because you don’t have to wait to get the next one, it is already right there for you grab, because trust me you will want to. I fell in love with each and every story, hanging on each and every word that Necie wrote.

My Hidden Life (Book 1) is one great start to the series that you don’t want to miss. Necie has a way with her words that ensure you and you are engrossed in not only the story but you become thoroughly invested in the characters. Being the Princess of the Family is not all it is cracked up to be. Being raised to one day take over a man’s world, from the day you were born, means you see and hear things you would never see in a million years. The story is told in multiple POV’s enriching the story so much more. There is so much drama and action, murder and mayhem as one Family fights another in this cut throat world. Read as one little girl learns what life is like in a world full of violence but also love.

My Tragic Life (Book 2) and as with the first book, you will find yourself engrossed in the world of the Canzano Family. You are thoroughly invested in the characters that you have grown to love in the first book. The Princess of the Family is smart, clever, and sassy and still being trained and raised to one day take over. She can out smart, out gun and out fight any man who gets in her way. This story continues to be told in multiple POV’s giving us that depth to the characters showing us what they are made from. The murder and mayhem, love and loss and high running emotions are at times heart wrenching. Necie has written a series that should not be missed. She is a diamond in the rough that is coming out shining.

My Free Life (Book 3) is the culmination of everything coming together in the tragic world of the Princess working toward her ultimate goal. With the men undeniably hers, the Princess continues to run things as she sees fit, but she knows there can only be one end, but little does she know that others have that same goal insight. Necie has once again written a winner, as she takes us on the journey that ends with death and sadness, love and loss. It’s at the ending that you will need tissues as there will be tears, as you are so emotionally invested in these wonderful characters. There is lots of action and murder, mayhem and secrets that could bring them all down. This is an explosive ending that should not be missed.

Anything of the Brothers of Camelot is a must. It is like a drug, you can’t get enough of.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a suspenseful thriller that I immediately loved and couldn’t get enough of. I was pulled in from the very first page and I was kept on the edge of suspense throughout whole novel. So many twists and turns!! The main characters in this book are Lincoln and Mina. I thought they were great and I thought they were very likeable and relatable. There is a lot of attraction going on between these two but when a body is found the little trust they had gets thinner and thinner. I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.
Happy Reading!

Via Mari was raised in both the United States and United Kingdom and travels extensively. As a child she spent uncountable hours traveling and always enjoyed reading to pass the time and this pattern has continued in her adult life.

In fact, you can still find her curled up in an overstuffed chair, when the wood fire is crackling and popping, reading a page-turning novel until the early hours of the morning, especially during the harsh winters of the Midwestern United States or engrossed in a book as she travels from place to place researching for her own novels, or attending conferences.

Via’s inspiration to publish stemmed from research as she began writing love scenes for her own novels. It became apparent there seemed to be a cultural divide between what people believed was normal or vanilla sexual behavior and that which people considered BDSM and she felt compelled enough to write about the differences, similarities, and extreme feelings and levels of trust individuals in dominant and submissive relationships must have, and the desires that are at the heart of these relationships.

My Life Series: Is the 3 book series of the life of Alessandra Canzano, daughter of Al, the Capo of the Canzano Crime in Italy. His dream is for her to take over the family one day, but her’s is to be a normal girl. The family drama is heartbreaking, but Alessandra’s strength gives her the power to overcome.

My Hidden Life: …She has to be better than any man around her. She’s the Family future.

Alessandra, the Princess of the Canzano crime Family, was introduced to the dangers of her family’s world at the young age of six when a rival family left her bleeding and scared on her birthday.

Her uncle now dedicates his life to making sure she is not only protected but that Alessandra will never feel helpless again in their world. All the while, trying to keep her feeling like she is just a normal girl.

Join Alessandra in Part One of ‘My Life’ series as she trains to be the heir to the Canzano Family – the Capo her father wants. A life that she must hide from even her closest friends and family.

My Tragic Life: Duty. Responsibility. Family.

Three words that form the gilded cage I’ve lived in my whole life. I’m the Princess of the Canzano Family, a title many would think to be glamorous, amazing. Well, the glamorous part would be accurate, but that’s where it ends. I’m absolutely miserable.

I’ve been training since I was six years old to protect the Family… a side of me that I need to keep hidden. I must appear to be the perfectly polished Princess at all times, a ruse and title I despise. I get no choice in anything, everything is controlled for me by my father, the Capo. I wish and dream for the freedom to be ME.

When a rival Family strikes causing my life to be turned upside down, I didn’t think things could get any worse and then I learn how wrong I am, as I’m forced to become my worst nightmare in order to protect the Family I want no part of.

My life went from being bearable misery…to nothing short of Tragic.

My Fee Life: Freedom. Something the majority of the people on this Earth enjoy. Something I’ve never had. Something I want more than anything.

When I left for University, I thought my life wouldn’t be quite so tragic… Ha! I am now the Capo Donna, in charge of the Family and its businesses located in Northern Italy.

The power struggle between me and my Papa, the Capo, comes to a head when some of my closest friends find themselves caught in a dangerous situation.

In order to save them, I have to let that switch inside me flip, the one I hate, in order to be what they need me to be to save them. The monster my Papa insisted I become, the one he can no longer control. The assassin. The side of me I fear will destroy my soul if I can’t escape from this Family… This Life.

Will I ever be able to wash this blood off my hands? Can I ever be absolved of the lives I’ve taken? This is the final straw.

As friends and loved ones begin finding their ‘Happily Ever Afters’, I know it’s time to escape. They’ll all be fine. They have their One and Only’s. It’s time for me to be Free…

So I can find my own.

Pieces Of A Lie by Rowena Holloway was an excellent mystery fiction novel. The story is told from multiple points of view making the story more complex. The characters were realistic and easy to relate to. It was also easy to visualize each one. The author provided excellent backstory for each as well.

The story itself had an excellent climax and was organized. It was easy to follow along as it progressed. It also seemed professionally edited. I loved sitting and reading this novel. It pulls the reader in with an intense beginning. Excellent book.

Flower Shields (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 1) by C.A. King is an excellent fantasy romance novel. Easily worth its 5-stars. Tara and Michael are the main characters. Tara is somehow mixed up in a scenario involving a key. Michael is looking for it as well but to keep it from landing in the hands of demons. Tara is attacked by demons and is whisked away by Michael. That is when things really go crazy.

This story was easy to follow and fun to read. I loved the development and plot twist. The characters were very creative and the backstory was exciting. It was a different fictional beginning for all life. I really enjoyed this novel and hope other readers will too.

Flower Shields by C. A. King is an interesting introduction. Our heroine in this story, Tara, seems destined for anonymity. Such a plain mousey young lady doesn’t seem to make for an interesting tale. But in all good stories there is always more than meets the eye. Someone finds her very interesting. By the time our hero arrives on the scene I was quite caught up in the story. The introduction, Flower Shields, to The Four Horseman novels has been intriguing to say the least. I am certainly on board for the next one.

All That’s Left Unsaid by Rowena Holloway is a well written Psychological thriller that I could NOT put down! Secrets, drama, suspense, truth, lies, and a mother and daughter all rolled into one made this a book that will draw reader’s right into the story. Harriet Taylor travels to the Amalfi Coast in the hopes to see her mother in which she is estranged mother via her long time friend. But she doesn’t think she will find secrets or even a killer. As she gets closer to the truth about her mom and her past, she stubbles upon a secret, and one that someone would kill in order to keep it hidden.

This well written book will bring you right into this story. The author did an amazing job with the location and you can close your eyes and almost feel you are on the beautiful coast of Italy. You can feel the emotions the main character is faced with. All this truly shows the talent of the author. This is my first book by Rowena Holloway and it will not be my last. I highly recommend this five star read!

Flower Shields by C.A. King a four-star read that gets a star for each horseman. This is the first story in the Four Horseman series, and I need the rest of the series as I need to know more. I love this author as the stories are super quick to read and always pack a punch, they start on the first page and don’t let up, usually that would mean that you miss character development but it’s not the case with this author. This is definitely a paranormal fantasy read with a little romance on the side, rather than a primary romance. But the story is good, and the writing is great.

Anyone that has ever had a struggle communicating with a parent will enjoy Rowena Holloway’s story, All That’s Left Unsaid. There is nothing more frustrating than to speak the same language as another and find out…..you don’t speak the same language. Harriet is not only confused herself, but she is quite confusing in this story. You don’t know whether to feel sorry for her or bark at her. In the end it’s her stubbornness that becomes her most endearing trait. An intriguing mystery that moves along at a brisk little pace. Near the end, I couldn’t put it down. I had to know.

Harriet is a journalist living in London. She ends up going home to London to help her mother recover from a fall. When her mother reveals a mystery to her she decides to go on a search.

Harriet ends up in Italy looking for answers to secrets that her mother is keeping. The locals were not excited about a stranger showing up in town, they end up shutting down on her. When mysterious things start to happen, she starts to wonder who it could be, is she getting too close to something?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

All That’s Left Unsaid by Rowena Holloway is a mystery story that is intriguing. It is a story of secrets and lies but who is telling the truth and how do you tell the lies. The story has many many facets where it will keep you on your toes with twists and manipulation. It is set in Italy and the characters are “interesting”. The more there are answers the more there are questions.

Harriet is a strong and independent woman and doesn’t see eye to eye with her mother, lets just say their relationship is complicated but when her mother mentions concerns, the journalist in Harriet is intrigued. What she finds is so much more than she ever thought. The more she digs deeper the more mysterious it becomes.

Rowena as spun a story that is a dangerous web but one that will keep you guessing right to the very end.

Claimed is the third book in Via Mari’s Torzial Affair series! You absolutely need to read the series in the order as the third book picks up where the second one left off! I also recommend that you read first the main series of Prestian series that the Torzial Affair is a spin off of as it helps you to understand the dynamics and who is who!
Jenny walked away free from the court, from the crime she was accused of and she did not commit. Yet, the past is not done with her as she knows too much and the Mob does not let one go … alive … Brian keeps throwing everything he has into ensuring that the nightmare is over … will they succeed?
I love the twists and turns and I love how Brian helps Jenny to live her fantasies, the trust and the passion and … you will not be able to put the book down, I promise! Welcome along Jenny and Brian’s journey!

Claimed (The Torzial Affair book 3)
Via Mari
4 out of 5 stars

After reading Via Mari’s Prestian Series, I was looking forward to reading the Torzial Affair series. Quickly I became hooked and if we are being honest, I enjoyed this series even more than the other!
Much like the other two books in the series, Claimed kept me engaged from start to finish while managing to keep me on the edge of my seat.
By now, chances are you’re aware that the Torzial Affair series moves along in chronological order and shouldn’t be read as a standalone but it’s worth mentioning just in case. Claimed is the final book in the trilogy and while many trilogies feel rushed by the end, this wasn’t the case here. Via Mari truly has a talent for crafting stories that are hot and steamy with an exciting storyline.

Pieces Of A Lie by Rowena Holloway – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Pieces of a LiePieces of a Lie by Rowena Holloway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a psychological-suspense thriller that I loved. I was pulled right into the story from the beginning. It had me sitting on the edge of my seat and kept me turning pages until the end. The twists and turns were engaging and left you guessing on what would happen next. Lincoln and Mina have great attraction but there is a mistrust between them especially when a dead body is found. Realistic characters in a great story that you will want more from. A must read.

CLAIMED (The Torzial Affair Book 3)CLAIMED by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

CLAIMED (The Torzial Affair Book 3) by Via Mari is an emotional roller coaster of a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover. I was so emotionally invested in this book and it took me no time to read it. If you have already read the first two books in the series (which you should do before reading this one), you already know the characters Brian and Jenny. Both Brian and Jenny have been through so much in their pasts. Both have suffered hurt, angst, and loss. As a couple they have struggled through not only trust and commitment issues but also, trouble closing in from the outside of their relationship.
Jenny was accused of brutally murdering her ex. She has been jumping through hoops and trying everything both she and Brian know to prove her innocence. The truth is finally brought to life in this book and the mafia assumes she knows too much and they go on the hunt to eliminate her. Brian and her friends will do anything and everything they can to stop the mafia from coming after the one they love.
This last book has the perfect amount of romance, action, and suspense. I was shocked to see some things come to light and thrilled with the others. Via has a way of tricking you into believing one thing and then revealing another… I like it. I would highly recommend this series to people who love erotic romance books.

Pieces of a Lie
By: Rowena Holloway
5 out of 5 stars

I found the story Pieces of a Lie by Rowena Holloway a wonderful book to read. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that had me at times turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. You will find yourself glued to the pages. There is mystery, danger, along with some twists that I did not see coming. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Detective Lincoln Drummond and Mina Everton. Lincoln finds himself disgraced and sent to a small Australian town. He finds that he is unwelcome and sometimes he finds open hostility. He is on a case that involves antique robberies. When he meets Mina, he believes that there will be a quick ending to the case and his career will be back to normal. What he doesn’t expect is the strong attraction that he has for Mina. Mina is a woman who is haunted by her past. She lives each day with memories and guilt. Now a detective shows up and she finds herself a suspect in crimes that are being committed. She also finds herself strongly attracted to Lincoln Drummond. Is Mina involved with the antique robberies? Why is she associating with Slab Carlson, a crime boss? What does the future hold for Lincoln and Mina? Read this book to find out. The story is suspenseful and romantic. It takes you on a non-stop ride that doesn’t end until the book does. I enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are introduced. There are also characters that I wondered about what their true motives and agenda are. The story has times that are sad and had my emotions going up and down. If you love mystery and suspense this is a book that I would recommend reading.
