Fantastic continuation of the series! I love that Black is able to keep the flow from one Master to the next without missing a beat. I will STRESS that this is a series and you need to read them in order. They really don’t work as standalone novels, but you aren’t going to be disappointed with having to go back and read the first 5 novels 😉 We are invested in the “love/hate” relationship between Master Calabrea and Tansia. The dynamic between them is steamy, dramatic, dangerous, and so much more. This installment definitely gave me all the feels! I really love how Black develops her characters and advances her plot lines. I would classify these novels as dark, paranormal romances. If you are into sexy, possessive vampires then you definitely need to check out this series!

Book 6 in this series and I am still absolutely loving it! In this latest instalment we follow Master Calabrea as he is set the task of an enemy of the vampire community Isala. I loved the first meeting between Master Calabrea and Tansia who is on his team. There was something between them right from the very start and I enjoyed reading their story. I actually really liked Tansia, she was a great female lead in the story and could definitely hold her own, she had a history which made her an interesting character to get to know. I am really excited to see what happens in book 7 in this wonderfully dark vampire series!

Master Calabrea has been put in charge buy the Overmaster Descillia to find the traitor, Isala and bring her in. So when he meets the team his is tasked with her is drawn to the mysterious red head who is destined to be trouble.
Tansia is committed to the cause, deeply respectful of the vampire community but when her physic abilities are discovered can she feels that she is more capable of going it on her own but when Master Calabrea demands that she not take things into her own hand’s things go side wards and she is left fighting for her life. Can Calabrea find her in time to save her?
I love this series and these strong characters, this book as the rest is well written and follows the Consulate while they are trying to find the traitors in their mist, although this could be read as a standalone novel, I feel you may need a little background when it comes to the main characters.
As always, the book is fast paced and draws you in quickly into the story, I love the character of Tansia her sassy, feisty attitude is a welcome equal to the Alpha nature of Calabrea. I always love a flawed character and you get that with Tansia and her history. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Master Calabrea is the sixth book in the Masters of the Consulate Series. I’m a huge fan of this series and recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them. They are just as good as this one. Master Calabrea is in a race against time has he is leading the hunt for Isala who is a very evil enemy of the community of vampires . This should be an easy in and out as he knows everyone in the territory. But plans are meant to be stalled when he’s ordered to partner up the fierce red headed vixon Tansia, she will stop at nothing to help out the vampire community. When they are attacked will the choose each other and life as they know it? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

This was a great 5 star read. I continue to enjoy this series but I have to say I think Calabrea is my favorite so far. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. When Calabrea is sent on a mission he has to work with Tansia. I really liked Tansia, she was a strong character. She also had some special gifts that she discovers that causes some questions to come up for her. There is a twist that puts her in danger, will Tansia be able to save her? Can these two have a HEA? We get so much in one story. Vampires, paranormal, and so much more. If you haven’t read the series yet I recommend starting with book one. This book was fast paced, much like the other books in this series. I appreciated how the author has Tansia work though her baggage from a past relationship and how it hinders her moving on -being honest not only with herself but with Calabrea, as well. The story ends in a HUGE cliffhanger that will have me looking for book 7! I felt like the series was ALMOST wrapped up but then I find out there are MORE bad guys?!? Definitely, looking forward to what will happen next!

Master Calabrea is Book 6 in the Masters of the Consulate series. Master Calabrea is a vampire with the Consulate who has been given the task of hunting down Isala, an enemy of the vampire community. Embry’s cousin, Tansia, has come for a visit and to help her out. Tansia’s arrival has an unexpected effect on Calabrea, who acts indifferent to her but feels the opposite. He has no time nor need for a mate, let alone a human one so he chooses to ignore his feelings. Tansia has no luck at all with relationships and has a terrible track record, so she has no desire to try again, especially with a vampire who clearly hates her.
Time is running out to capture Isala, so Tansia and Calabrea are teamed up and told to remain together at all times. Tansia feels this is an impossible task because Calabrea cannot stand her. She could not be more wrong. Tansia has an unexplained effect on Calabrea, and this sets a chain of events into motion between Tansia and Calabrea that neither expected.
This book could possibly be read as a standalone, but it is probably better to read the series from the beginning. Sadly, I have not read the first books in the series so I feel as though I may have missed something. This book was fast paced from the beginning with wonderful characters and a great storyline. The attraction between Calabrea and Tansia is sizzling and undeniable. The hunt for Isala is fraught with tension and danger as they try to capture her before time runs out. I enjoyed this book and know that I will be reading this series from the beginning.

This is quite the romantic suspense with your paranormal twist to it. Master Calabrea is a Vampire in the consulate. Tansia has come to help her cousin, Embry, and get her life back on track. She gets involved in the local club life. If you have followed the series, you know that you have the mafia, vamps, weres, and witches. The hunt is still on for Isala. Love is in the air for Tansia and Calabrea. The question is can Calabrea tame Tansia. She’s a pretty independent buttkicker. She proves she can take care of herself. She does know what she wants though… MMM, can’t tell but you should read. This author puts a story together that has you feeling like you are righter there in the story. Old friends and new friends appear. There is a cliffhanger! Can’t wait for the next Master in the series. I’ve read them all so far and she’s one of my favorites. A series that will have you wanting more.

Master Calabrea is the sixth book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. This series just gets better with each new instalment- and I don’t need any more enticement than sexy vampires. Again, as with the rest of the series, this is a fantastic paranormal romance series- a bit of a romantic suspense/dark romance with an underworld society, a fated mates element, chemistry, agendas, politics, magic, danger, emotion, action, dramatic developments, and plenty of steam. I highly recommend reading the other books in the series before beginning this one. Because even though you could read this as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on its own separate character/s, and there are also some interconnected details, as well as recurring characters that span the series- so I really recommend reading from the beginning, so you know what’s happened right from the start. The best part about this series is that there are 12 books planned…. which means more sexy vampires still to come! Oh, and did I mention VAMPIRES!!!!! Bring on Book Seven!!! Can’t wait!!! This portrayal of the different creature factions in mythological lore reminds me of the creatures of the night from Rocky Horror. That said I loved it!! A great story with amazingly descriptive content in both storyline and characters. You can’t beat an author who loves their own characters and makes you love them. I not only will be reading more from this author but am quite confident I will be adding many more five star reviews for their books.

A wonderful mystery paranormal romance story. I myself had not read the books in this series before this book. It did not have that repetition where you wonder about the books before it. I can’t believe we are halfway there with book 6 in this epic and explosive and deliciously dark Vampire Romance Masters of the Consulate series. And Master Calabrea what a master he is……. He can put his shoes under my bed any time he likes. This series just keeps on getting better and better with each book. Masters of the Consulate is one of my absolute favourite epic series. I love the dark tantalising stories that Sylvia writes so well. The stakes are high in this delectable tale in the harsh and savage underworld. Where traitorous vampires, witches, and shifters want to rid the world of purebloods. Where it is full of suspense and intensity, unbound danger but is also steaming hot when the flames are sparking. Where there is greed and revenge, secret agendas, politics and so much more.
With sexy but vicious vampires, psychics, and other paranormal beings you cannot put this book down. You need to discover this dark sensually wicked world all for yourself.
I can’t wait for book 7. Bring it on.

The Masters of the Consulate are back! So exciting! I absolutely love this author and this series. Book 6 definitely does not disappoint, well it only did because I finished reading it so quickly. Master Calabrea also ended with a cliffhanger that I’m going to go crazy having to wait till book 7 comes out for answers. If you love romance? Check If you love vampires? Check If you love other creatures of the underworld? Check This book and series has it all! Master Calabrea continues the search for Isala in his territory. What he doesn’t expect is for Embry’s cousin Tansia to turn his world upside down. He gives her the vibes of instant dislike when he wants the exact opposite. So when Overmaster Descallia tells them they need to stick together at all times and work together, how is that possible? Tansia wants to do what she can to help those who have been so accepting of her, but she feels Master Calabrea has a problem with that and will stand in her way. Boy is she wrong. I love this author! This is a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first book. This is the sixth book in the series which I highly suggest reading all of the previous books. This is a series that keeps getting better with each installment. I never hesitate to pick up one of this author’s books. They are engaging, fast paced and hard to put down. The author’s use of writing skills and attention add so much to the stories. This book is no different. The characters pulled me in from the start. They brought the story to life and made me feel as if I was part of their world. They have great growth throughout as well as great chemistry. This is the 5th book in the Masters of the Consulate series and although each love story can be read as a standalone, I would wholeheartedly recommend reading the series in order. The reason being that there is an ongoing storyline which links them all together and progresses which each book and previous characters/couples often make an appearance. Each book focuses on a different Master of the Consulate and their mates as the underlying storyline unfolds. Each love story is unique, and the characters all have their own personalities which makes for an entertaining read. In this book it is Master Catteneo’s turn to be in the spotlight as he is given an important task and in working towards completing this, he meets Alessia his mate. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed, initially they fight their attraction to one another and seem to hate each other but as they work together towards their goal, the attraction turns into something more. It’s not an easy journey towards their love and they face numerous obstacles, but I liked how these were tackled and the growth shown as a result. The book is an easy read being fairly short and am always pleased when, as is the case here, the plot does not suffer as a result. The story wasn’t rushed which is sometimes a concern for me when reading shorter books and the writing style of the author flows easily which adds to my enjoyment of reading as it felt natural and not stilted. I have enjoyed the entire series and love the author’s way of spinning a story and getting me invested in the characters’ lives. I cannot wait for the next couple of books to me released, I find myself double-checking the release dates often in anticipation! If you’re looking for an enjoyable paranormal romance with some action and mystery, look no further!

After reading the fourth book of the Masters of the Consulate series ,Master Romano I went back and binged read books 1-3 (even though you don’t have to have to. It can be read as a standalone) while I waited for this one (Master Catteneo ) to come out. I was soooo excited when it dropped. I couldn’t read it fast enough. It was hard to put down once you started. Alessia was a firecracker from the start and I loved it, especially since she’s a human in the world of Paranormal. Master Catteneo was another great vampire romance by this author. I believe I had read most of this series and I just love it. This story starts with Overmaster Descalia (head of the vampires) mate being kidnapped by her sister who is trying to take over the underworld and overthrow the vampires. If you have read any of these stories, you know that the vampire men love their mates something fierce. Master Catteneo is also a head of a vampire territory and is helping to find his leader’s mate. He decides that he is going to get help from a respected “seer” in his territory. What he didn’t expect was the woman’s granddaughter, Alessia. Master Catteneo is not worried about the stories he has heard about the granddaughter because he is known as the life bachelor of vampire masters. Alessia also has many of the “seer” abilities and while trying to help the vampires find the mate, she realizes she has a mental connection to Catteneo. This connection could be the direct line they need to fine Overmaster’s mate. Can they learn to trust each other, trust the love and connection that is developing, and see past the fact that she is human? I enjoyed this story. I won’t say it is my favorite in the series, but it still had loveable characters and a strong female presence. I liked that one of the characters was human, Alessia was sassy, smart, and assertive. I feel the connection between the two was good but super fast and unrealistic in nature. There was no process of thought before they were getting together physically – even after all this talk about trying to understand what the connection was, etc. I also think is it one of the more sexually tame editions in the series. They also kind of leave it as a cliff hanger. Granted, the story of Alessia and Catteneo did finish, but when I read the last page and turned, I expected more and it just ended. Now, I know I will end up reading the others, but I never felt the other stories ended in this way.

Master Catteneo is in charge of bringing the Overmaster’s mate back home after she is taken by her own sister out for revenge. Catteneo goes to a local psychic named Ezra to see if she knows the whereabouts of said mate when he is greeted by Alessia, the granddaughter of the local psychic. Ezra getting up in age suggests that Alessia go with Catteneo.
Instantly they start off on the wrong foot. Being a master vampire, Catteneo is used to being submitted to but he will not get that from Alessia. She is sassy, stubborn and independent. The Overmaster insists that the two be stuck at the hip until they can find his love.
Both of the main characters are used to working alone but in order to get the missing person back they have to put aside their differences and their fantasies aside and work together.
This is book 5 of the Masters of the Consulate book but can technically be read as a stand alone without much trouble. The only thing I had difficulty with was some of the history of the background characters. This is also the first book I have read of the series and I must say that I am intrigued to read the previous books in the series. The book was action packed, romantic with a little bit of steam, and had great characters.

Master Catteneo is a Vampire master and has been put in charge of an extremely important hunt, the hunt for Overmaster Descallia’s mate, she has been taken and the trail runs cold in his area of the world, so he goes to see someone who can help find her from this end, however, the help he receives is not from the person he expects. Alessia is a young woman who is very protective of her family and so because of this, she inserts herself into the world of the vampires to give the help they seek to find a missing woman and even though she is scared, she feels that this is the right thing to do and that nobody, especially a handsome vampire will stop her from doing it.
This is a race against time as the Overmaster becomes more frantic and enraged by the minute, so when a beautiful and sassy psychic is sent to help him, Master Catteneo is frustrated when the visions don’t give him what he needs to succeed in his mission, instead, he is left more bewildered than ever, all the while trying to keep his mind away from her temptations.
As time moves on a nothing is happening, the mood in the team is thick with anger, frustration and Alessia’s past comes to the fore when she seeks help from another party, much to the disappointment and annoyance of the vampire lord as it is one of the groups with whom the vampires have a very tenuous balance. However, the attraction Alessia and Master Catteneo feel cannot be denied and when things take a turn for the worse, bargains have to be made and allegiances have to be tested in order for the search to be successful, including this new found bond, but can they survive the challenges and traps set for them, or will this bond be ripped apart before its strength can be fully tested?
This is another paranormal romance with danger at ever turn where nothing is as it seems and the tangled web of intrigue keeps you immersed in this dark world of the supernatural where loyalties are tested, reputations are gained and lost, as well as secrets, truths and lies becoming both more and less clear as you follow along in this race against time to save fated mates and uncover the tracks leading to them.

Another great book by this author. The characters are well written, the camaraderie of the different masters and their wives make it extra special. I really enjoyed reading Catteneo and Alessia coming together even if Alessia keeps contradicting him. Sometimes we need those people who let us know when we need to be confronted to make things clearer. This is by far my favorite book in this series.

Lucianna has been Kidnapped and Master Catteneo has been tasked to recuse her and bring her back into the fold. Catteneo decides to seek the help of the most powerful seer and when he arrives, he is stopped in his tracks by the grand-daughter, Alessia, who does not trust the vampire with her precious grandmother.
Although in the end Alessia is destined to help Catteneo with his quest and the two start having feelings for each other, although Alessia is a different type of woman to Catteneo as he is used to people following his orders and this woman has her own sassy and determination with the tasks ahead which infuriates him. Can they locate Luccianna and complete the tasks along the way and not let the attraction get in the way.
This is the fifth book in the series and although I felt this could be read as a stand alone so insight in the first four books does give you a grounding to the world of the Master of the Consulate. I love the way this series draws you into the stories and you feel like you are engaged and part of the world that Sylvia Black creates.
This book delves deeper into the world and brings together two unlikely companions but as the story goes through you see the attraction building and creating the love story between these beautiful characters. The story is fast paced, full of suspense and thrilling to read as always, the intensity of the story has you at the end of your seat trying desperately to turn the next page to see what happens. If you are a fan of the paranormal world, then this has it all.
I can’t wait for the next instalment in this series, thank you for allowing us into your world.

I love how their relationship started! Sassy spunk of little Alessia compared to a hunk like Catteneo? Haha… She didn’t even care. It was amazing. I love watching how things progress and how they fight alongside each other for the greater good for the rest of the vampires. I look forward to reading the next one 😁

Another spicy couple to add to the series! Ms. Black continues to increase excitement each book. Master Catteneo is in a class all his own. The chemistry with him and Alessia is through the roof! Stubborn and possessive all in one. When they come upon a situation that requires them to work together it’s where the sparks really fly!!

This is a series that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up by this author. This is the fifth book in the series which I highly suggest reading previous books as they are just as great as this one. This is a series that just keeps getting better and better with every installment. This a well written story where the author used details to make the story come to life. The characters pull you in from the start. They are engaging, creative and strong that have great growth throughout. A fast paced vampire story that brings the suspense and steam together into a hard to put down story. I really enjoy this book and this series. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Master Catteneo is the fifth book in the Master’s of the Consulate series. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author, and it most certainly won’t be the last, especially this specific series. The Master’s of the Consulate, including Master Catteneo, are quick, suspenseful, and absorbing, so easy to get lost in, and they are over long before you want them to end. The events that occur in this book are connected with the other books in the series but not so much that you can’t be comfortable with what’s going on in the one your reading if you haven’t read the previous books in the series. This is definitely a must read for those who enjoy spicy, paranormal romance stories.

Wow, this was such a great paranormal romance story that was extremely steamy and sexy. I had not read the previous stories in this standalone story, so some of the characters backstories were unfamiliar to me, but the author did a great job of summarizing so it didn’t feel like I was missing huge gaps of information, but definitely made me want to check out the rest of the series! Master Catteneo and Alessia’s instant chemistry is electric and hot. This series has vampires, witches, psychics, and werewolves among other paranormal beings. I loved that the females were strong independent women who didn’t let the alpha males make their decisions. The story-line was fast-paced and full of intrigue, along with politics, hidden agendas, and revenge. I devoured the book quickly; I just couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and the upcoming books!
