Self Love is a tale by T.L. Clark that I would highly recommend reading this story that needs a pick me up. TL Clark is becoming one of my favorite authors. Clark has a way to work you the reader into her story by making one of her characters seem just like you. This story is no different. Molly is the main female character. I identify with Molly. She is a hot mess at times. In the second chapter Molly thinks about a former employee:
“We weren’t exactly bosom buddies. I didn’t expect him to contact me. But Please don’t lie and pretend you miss me.”
It is this that tone that kept me reading to the end. I have to tell you that I am not going to tell you much more because I do not want to say spoilers. You will have to read the story and enjoy Molly.

Self Love is a standalone romance novel that follows Molly as she learns to love herself and who she is. Written in first person, the author chooses to have Molly speak directly to the audience, which really helped build a relationship with the character. This book had me laughing out loud at moments and was really fun to read. If you need to indulge in a little self-love yourself, this is a must read!

Molly is such a relatable character. She is struggling with various different issues, all of which are real concerns for real-life women of her age. What woman hasn’t worried about her weight, career or relationship status? Molly is real, which is what makes her so loveable. Seeing her character develop of the course of Self Love was fun and stirred a lot of different emotions in me. The narrative is so brilliantly written, especially the way Molly interacts with the reader. There are some hilarious moments in this book and I found myself giggling multiple times throughout Molly’s story. But this book is also packed full of some heart-wrenching emotional moments. Molly has been through a lot and is still dealing with some issues that were hard to read about. The author handled these brilliantly and with so much respect; this is what kept me reading! I also loved that this book was set in the UK. A home-grown romance is always something I’m looking for!

This is also one of those reads that makes you think and reflect. While Molly is trying to love herself, I found myself thinking about my own issues and how similar they were to Molly’s. Ultimately, this was an uplifting and inspiring read and one that I know ill stay with me for a while. Self Love is definitely a read I will be recommending to others!

A great read about finding yourself. Molly is a florist struggling to find love. After a fiasco booking at a wedding and its events after with an old work colleague, she decides to focus on herself. As her florist business grows, she decides to lose some weight to find love and rediscovers herself along the way. But will she find love and happiness in the end?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Molly going after what she wants despite the criticism of others or Wendy as a caring friend trying to help others. Molly’s struggles with being tired of being alone and her weight and finding love were beautifully written and relatable.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with the colourful flowers or the interior details of Molly’s house full of details or the wedding scenes full of people and life but also claustrophobic at the same time. The first person narration helped to display Molly’s thoughts and feelings. The only issue I would raise is that the narration broke the fourth wall and felt more like a blog post than a novel If this was addressing the audience was reduced, it would be five stars. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Self Love: A British Tale of Woe & Wit by TL Clark. This is the story of Molly, a mid 30s, overweight, florist who has the lowest self esteem of anyone! She has quit her office job and started her own Florist shop out of her home. Her latest boyfriend has broken up with her and she feels like she’s never going to find anyone. She has had some really mean things happen to her by men & her Mom says mean things to her all the time. She has a best friend Wendy who is her voice of reason. Wendy talks Molly into joining a weight loss group together. This book is full of British humor which I love. I did get bored with Molly being so hard on herself throughout the first of the book but it was understandable with the way her mom talked to her. This book will make you cry, laugh and cringe. I really enjoyed it.

Self Love by TL Clark is a story that has drama. emotion and takes you on a journey of growth. This story is told from the point of view of Molly. Molly is the main character, who is like many women. She struggles with weight and finding love. You are taking a journey alongside Molly as she goes through life. Her best friend is always there for her, no matter what Molly is going through.

What a great story from TL Clark. It was well written and flows with ease. You feel as you are right there with the characters. The characters are well developed and very real. They were easy to connect with and you can understand what they were going through. I highly recommend Self Love, you will feel as you are taking a journey too.

Self Love: A British Tale of Woe and Wit
TL Clark
5 out of 5 stars

I honestly don’t even know where to start. Self Love is my first experience with TL Clark’s writing and if any of this author’s additional work reads as well as this, it certainly will not be my last.
I was hooked on this novel from the very first blundering words. I loved that we are thrown right at Molly and her honest, inner self.
I don’t know if it was because I saw so much of myself in Molly’s character, but I felt that she and the story as a whole was incredibly relatable. I feel this has to do with being a woman in general but you read the story and be the judge.
There were so, so many times I found myself smiling, cringing but more importantly cheering our main character on. The progression towards self love and accepting no less of what she deserves from herself, her family and her potential love interests was empowering.
There were so many pearls of wisdom within these pages, some you’ve may have heard before but definitely quotes from a story I will keep with me. One that struck me as I read was this, “Of course not. But you know, how others treat you is their own karma, how you react is entirely yours.” This sentiment is something I’ve learned along my self love journey and we all will be a little better off as we come into it on our own.
Well, it’s honestly 4 am and I could go on and on forever at this point. Overall, this was a great balance between fun, realistic, quirky and deep and meaningful. Well done.

Self Love By T.L Clark is a great standalone story that took me on a journey full of emotion, angst, a little drama, interesting characters, self-discovery, personal growth, and much more.
Molly is thirty-four-year-old florist who hasn’t had a lot of dating experience. Her experiences have left her somewhat dubious about the whole process. She has issues and is quite self depreciating- feeling fat and unattractive, she thinks she may never find love or settle down and start a family. A visit to the Doctor pushes her into making some lifestyle changes….. and so this story unfolds. We get to follow along as Molly goes through all the different stages of this journey, experiencing self- doubt, angst, and all the highs and lows. Molly is very realistic, believable and relatable. I think women everywhere have experienced what Molly has gone through and can relate to her feelings- I know I have and do.
As I would expect from Ms. Clark, this story is beautifully written, engaging and connectable. The story had depth, and the character growth and development over the course of the story was pretty good, even though there were a lot of times where Molly frustrated me with her apologies and thought processes. She was a lot stronger than she believed. I look forward to seeing what Ms. Clark has in store for us next!

Thank you, Ms. Clark!

I just love it when you find a new author! This is the first book by this author and I have to say I am in love! This is one of my absolute favorite genres. I found the writing to be quite refreshing. I found this book such an easy read the plot and story line just flowed.

Shakira and Pryderi make quite the couple. I found that the authors creative world to be very drawing, meaning I was instantly hooked from page one I wanted to see what adventure would pursue. I especially liked the way that the author drew out the back story for Shakira and how it will influence the story line. This book is one of my top ten recommended reads.

Love Bites Harder is the second book in the Darkness & Light Duology written by T.L. Clark is amazing I just love her writing. The characters are amazing the way they interact is awesome and let’s not forget the scenery which was incredible with the way she described it.
We continue were we left off from Love Bites book one where Pryderi had to make a tuff choice.
Kiera, formerly Shakira, faces more threats than ever as her quest for peace and home continues. She has so much going on in her life with being torn from her soul mate. She thinks she can she lift the curse from her father? We also get to see a different side of her father
Is the fae realm really a safe haven from her enemies? Are any of these fantasy beings trustworthy?
The elinefae clan Leader’s fear is the only thing that stopped him from ending her life on the spot. But he might as well have done. Can the soul mates ever be reunited? Or will the Leader carry out the execution?

Can Kiera she survive?
I highly recommend this awesome book/duology….
