Percy’s Brides (A Double Trouble Romance) by Ivy Hart. This is such a good romance. Its set in the early settler days and Percy is determined to set up his homestead away from his family in the town he owns a hardware store in. He also hopes to find a woman who will be just as much a partner, friend and lover to live this life with. When Clara arrives in town with all the books she own ready to find love and teach the young ones all she can. Clara and Percy are moving right along with Clara being a little wild but also very educated and ready to share that knowledge with all she can. They are beginning to think things can’t get better until Amelia arrives ready to wed Percy. Clara and Percy are at a crossroads and Percy doesn’t know quit what to do and then tragedy befalls the community when there is a disaster at the coal mine in town. Percy, Amelia and Clara put their relationship woes to the side to see that the community gets all the help they need. In the end the question still is, who will Percy choose to be his wife? Read this fun historical romance to find out.

Whiskey Throttle (Moto X Series Book 6) by Brooke May. This is book 6 in the Moto X series and its the story of Lincoln and Rush. Rush has been hurt in his past and therefore does not want a relationship. He never wants for company but the thought of a serious relationship and feelings are not in his field of vision at all. Rush and Lincoln have been friends for a long time and when they start sleeping together things are pretty intense but its with the knowledge that “no strings attached”. So when Rush gets hurts in a Motorcycle wreck and Lincoln pretends to be his boyfriend to get in things change. Lincoln doesn’t really know how to be in a relationship either and it scares him too but feelings do get involved and Rush and Lincoln are both a little lost. Will they be able to get their heads on straight and try to be in a relationship that they both want but are too scared to admit? Read this M/M motocross read to find out!

The Husbands by Naomi Valkyrie. This is such a good read. Its fairly short but it packs a big punch. Its the story of Dorian who is a married assassin and he’s really good at his job. One night in Miami he is set to take a kill shot and someone walks in front of him and is accidentally hit. His name is Augustine and he is so shocked. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time is Augustine’s life story. He ends up in the hospital and Dorian who takes on odd jobs at different time is assigned as Augustine’s physical therapist. Spending so much time together even thought they are both married to women they realize there is a real chemistry between them. Years later their wives become friends and they are thrown together again. While their wives become best friends they are together more and more and the feelings come racing back. Not being able to hide it the wives are bound to find out. What will happen when it does come out? Will their marriages survive or will they finally take a chance on being together?

Delicious Death (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries Book 2) by Byrd Nash. This is such a fun book. I loved the first one so I knew I would enjoy this one as well. Its the story of Elinor who is a ghost talker in the 1800’s and her best friend is a doctor and a woman which is unheard of in that time. Both Elinor and her best friend are looked at as oddities in their time. Elinor is beside herself with excitement because she got an invitation to the Winter Revel’s where Chef’s compete. She is dreaming of all the food she is going to eat. During this event someone tries to kill her father, the King. The Duke who is sweet on Elinor helps her try to figure out who is trying to kill her father. When the prime suspect ends up being one of Elinor’s favorite chef’s she knows she has to prove his innocence. Will she find out who the real killer is before its too late? Read this fun fantasy, ghost read to find out!

Fire Meets Fire: Wretched Soulz MC by Manda Mellett. This is one of my favorite authors so I always pick up her books and this one was no different. Its such a good story. Its the story of the President of the Wretched Soulz MC club, Chaz and his friend Helo. Helo has had a lot of trauma in her past so she is pretty much just broken. Chaz is a womanizer and thinks he’s superior to all women. He’s used to be a love them and leave them kind of guy but Helo is definitely not the one night stand type. Chaz can’t keep from thinking about Helo and he doesn’t know what to do with it. They both have amazing stories that will keep you turning the pages and wondering if they can make it work. I love the way this author writes to the point where I feel like I am in the book and living with the characters. Such a good read!

Moonlight Drive by A.R. Hadley. This is second chance romance and its also about the rock star lifestyle. Its the story of Dani and her lifetime friend Nick who has made it to the big show. He’s a rock star and when Dani has a chance she goes on tour with them as a groupie. Dani and Nick were in love with each other years ago but they both had complicated lives and it didn’t work out. When she gets on this tour they are reintroduced but Nick doesn’t remember her. This book is set in the 80s rock n roll world where sex, drugs and rock and roll are rampant. That adds a whole other set of problems to their relationship. This book is full of frustration at both people in this story and them trying to work things out. Both of the characters truly need to grow up but don’t seem capable. Read this story to find out if they can actually make it work.

The Big Book of Booper Snoots by Suzanna Lynn. This is one of the cutest kids books I’ve read. Its great for kids of all ages but especially the younger ones learning their ABC’s. The animals are listed from A-Z ,the kids get to guess what animal it is and turn the page to find out what animal it is and a fact about them and even a random weird fact about them. This teaches kids their alphabet along with fun facts about animals and their perfectly boopable nose! Even though all animals have cute boopable noses doesn’t mean we can touch all of them. We also learn that its not always safe to boop all noses. Some animals don’t like their noses booped! Such a fun addition to any families library to teach your kids about animals and learn fun lessons as well. This book would make a great gift for any youngster in your life, in fact I’m buying a copy for my soon to be grandson!

A Patriot’s Tale by Nicole Pierman . This is a wonderful historical story about the Revolutionary War in South Carolina. The story follows Lily Thompson who is set to join the Militia because her family has been killed and she wants revenge on the Red Coats. Lily is so head strong and really shows what women were capable of back in the day. We see the horrors of war and even the way many women contributed to the war among the battlefields even. Fighting for their freedom men and women have to endure many things and its not pretty in the least. Lily finds love, loses loves and suffers PTSD from the loss of her family. Trying to fit into a male world and fight like a man is even harder but she tries her best. This book is written so well that I felt like I was in South Carolina during the Revolutionary War. Its a young adult novel but don’t let that stop you because it was a wonderful read!

The Book of Fears: A Collection of Short Stories by K. S. Gantt. This is an amazing book of Psychological Thriller short stories! There are several trigger warnings but they are warned ahead of time and they don’t go in too deep. I enjoy getting the pants scared off of me so this was right up my alley. They are not in your face scary but this could really happen scary, which to me is even worse! There are fears mentioned quite a bit in these stories such as the fear of needles and the fear of snakes which is my #1 fear! I thought I had snakes in my bed all night. There are twists, turns, mysteries and things that go bump in the night and its your choice if you want to face it or not! Read this fun collection to get the hairs on your neck to stand up. I loved it!

Hailey is still mourning the loss of her parents in a tragic accident and her boyfriend thinks she is taking too much time to “get over it”. When she has the chance to buy a run down B&B she jumps on it and puts all her energy into fixing it up and reopening it. Loch is a rock star that has lost his mojo since his sister passed away and he’s closed himself off to everyone and can’t write music. His agent decides he needs to rent a whole B&B just for Loch so that he can grieve properly and hopefully start creating music again. When Hailey only has the one guest she of course pay all her attention to him and he realizes Hailey is the only person he feels comfortable with since his loss. Maybe because she is going thru her own grief. Loch falls head over heels and invites the whole band over to start creating music. As their relationship progresses will Hailey’s past destroy everything they have created? Will Hailey be able to leave the B&B to go with Loch on tour. Such a good love story with a tragic beginning.

Its the story of Patrick the son of a Lord and his goal in life is to stay out of trouble and marry and have a family. Which is fine but he’s hiding a very troublesome secret. Iseul is a mid leader in the military who has a very sad past. He was sold by his parents to the military because his parents were so poor. When Iseul and Patrick meet sparks fly and Patrick knows he can not stay away from Iseul no matter the cost. Trying to keep their relationship a secret but knowing they both can’t live without it puts them both in a very perilous situation. Will they be able to make hide it long enough for Patrick to make his father happy? Such a passionate novella that has so many wonderful characters.

Productivity is Power II: For Creative, Business, and Other Professionals by Hillary Rettig. This is a great tool for a business or even for personal use. If you have trouble with procrastination, scheduling and over filling your time and my problem area over giving. There are about 24 exercises to do that will help you with all of these things. This would also be a good team building exercise to do together. Its a long read but well worth it if you put it into practice. If you are in a work hole or even in a life rutt give this book a try. It will help you organize your time, your giving and your work ability. It will have you stepping out of your comfort zone and making changes that will help you be the most successful you that you can be. Not only in work but in life as well. I love this book for the valuable lessons inside and now I hope to put them to practice in my life.

Just Ducky (Weird Shifters Series) by C.A. King. This is a great Young adult fantasy read. Its the story of Ducky who has the horrible fate of turning into a furry duck when she is nervous. Ducky is the black sheep of the town, most people are shape Shifters in the form of wolves, vampires and even felines but no she shifts into a duck. She is made fun of all the time and it is really getting her down. When she hears Vampire Lord Kobreon is looking for a bride, Ducky knows he won’t pick her but wants to catch a glimpse of him. Hiding in the bushes she pricks herself and makes a noise causing a lady to come towards her and she nervously shifts into a duckling. Scooping her up and taking her in the castle the Lord takes a shine to her and wants her by him at all times only as a duckling. The humans and shifters are almost at War and Lord Kobreon is the only one who can fix it. Will Ducky be able to escape the Castle and will Lord Kobreon be able to save the shifters and humans. Read this young adult novel to find out!

Under Jackson Bridge by Susan Specht Oram. This psychological thriller is so good. I’ve found my new thriller author that I will now pick up without second glance! This is the story of Irena who is a single mom of a teenager, Kelly, who has a dead beat dad. Irena has worked so hard and built herself a business working on boat engines and has become pretty successful. When Irena, Kelly, Irena’s boyfriend Buzz and her ex, Jack end up going for a boat ride together Irena has a bad feeling about it. They are on a strict time line because Kelly has a dance class and when Irena and Jack get into an argument because Jack won’t wear his life jacket they are accidentally thrown overboard. Irena of course had her life jacket on and gets back on board but Jack is no where to be found. When they begin the search for Jack immediately they don’t find any sign of him. Even the next day all they find are questions. While Irena is determined to find her ex for Kelly’s sake she is also afraid from all the stuff she is finding out. This thriller will keep you guessing til the very end. Such a great read!

Dinopotamus Goes to School (Dinopotamus Series) by Lois Wickstrom. This is such a fun story for kids. Its the story of Dinopotamus and him wanting to do all the things the other kids do. When they kids all go to school he follows them. With him being larger than the other kids he can’t do all the things they do, at least not like the other kids, but he always tries and even manages doing most of them. He had so much fun he looks forward to going back tomorrow. This book teaches kids that its ok to be different and that you can usually do the same things with some modifications. Such a great lesson for kids and the illustrations are so cute as well. Add this to your child’s library today!

Italian American (Jack & Mariella Book 2) by Luigina Vecchione. I loved the first book so much but this one was even better. Written to the point that I felt like I was right in Rome and in America back in the 50’s. This story stayed with a long time after I finished it and that to me is the sign of a great book. Its the continuing story of Jack & Mariella who have moved to America and Mariella is having a hard time fitting in. Not used to American ways and American people, its a rough beginning. Leaving her beloved Rome is one of the hardest things she’s ever done. Women are different in American, very judgy and gossipy and outsiders aren’t really welcome. When a tragedy has her traveling back to Rome she will have to make the hardest decision ever in coming back to American. She loves Jack but with him working all the time she misses him and wonders if she really needs to go back. Such a heartfelt love story that will leave you wanting more.

Its the story of Elinor who is a ghost talker and has all the tools to get the dead to talk to her. Many people seek her out to talk to their dead loved ones and the Inspector in town even seeks her help with local crimes. So when Elinor is taken to the morgue to investigate a body that was found in the canal. When she gets there and sees the Duke is present as well. Finding out the present Duke is involved puts a whole new pressure on Elinor to find out who the murder victim is and how he is connected to the Duke. Such a fun read full of mystery and intrigue. These remind me of cozy mysteries with paranormal thrown in. I love them so much and can’t wait to read the next one!

Its the story of Jorden who runs the local coffee shop and is just over the break up of her and her boyfriend. Unfortunately her ex has decided to bring his new girl into the shop every day and Jorden is sick of it. There is one person who has made her day better since the break up and that is Cane. She is in heat over him. When he makes her a deal she can’t refuse she thinks its a win/win situation. If the deal includes her being next to Cane more than she is all in. When he wants to create a spell that will see the future of her ex and his new girl, Jorden isn’t so sure she wants to see that but the offer of Cane makes her change her mind. As they spend more time together will Jorden realize she’s completely over her ex and ready to move on or will she realize she’s still in love with the jerk? Cane might just be what she needs to get over that hump. Such a great fantasy romance with a little spice.

This is the story of Libby who accidentally sets her toaster on fire and the next thing she knows she has a house full of hot firemen and she’s in her pjs. Zack is one of those firemen and he’s immediately taken with Libby. Libby is as sassy as they come and Zack can think of nothing he likes more. He doesn’t force her to want him, he lets her figure it out on her own and when she does, whewwww! Her best friends are the perfect buffer for her and keep her grounded enough that she doesn’t do something stupid. Zack isn’t really interested in a relationship but Libby might just be the one to change his mind. Such a fun and funny romance that will keep you turning the pages late in the night. Can’t wait to read the next one!

Its the story of Lexie Driscoll who leads a monthly book club called the Golden Age Mystery Club. Lexie loves Agatha Christie books so she uses them to try to solve her mystery. While at the club meeting one of her members dies so Lexie decides its up to her to figure out if it was a murder or not. Lexie had heard someone threaten the victim right before the meeting so maybe they had something to do with it. The person that passed away was also her friend and she was going to live in her home that summer so not only did she lose her friend but she lost her home. Frustrated and sad Lexie knows that her friend didn’t die of natural causes so she is determined to find out what happened. Read this fast paced cozy mystery to find out what happens. You won’t be disappointed.

What Lies Buried by Leslie Kain. This is such a good read. Its very difficult to read about a very real situation that many people face and we have no idea. Gavin is diagnosed with PTSD complex syndrome and he battles a war in his mind by the minute. His wife Katie tries to be the best support system he can have but at times she is struggling as well. When Gavin returns to Boston to take care of his father’s estate he finds out his family was involved in the mob and that adds to his mental condition. The mob is watching every move he makes. Katie also finds out stuff her mom has hid from her and she begins to realize that she has some trauma herself from her childhood. Will she be able to help Gavin as well as come to terms with her own demons? Gavin is resisting treatment so he is becoming more and more unstable. Such a tough book to read but such a amazing job done in writing it. This is one of the best books I’ve read this year.

Its the story of Justine who has been asked to go to a house of a woman recently departed and see if she has anything worthy of the museum. The actual client is a very grouchy son of the woman deceased. His mom was a actress who never made it huge but to a small town she was their claim to fame. Her stuff might actually be worth something. Also Justine can connect with people that have passed through their possessions. Jackson is only here to clean up his mom’s stuff and close her estate. He sure doesn’t want to catch feelings for anyone so when he starts thinking about Justine constantly he doesn’t know what to do. This book is full of ghosts, family secrets and romance! Such a good series!

Purrfectly Framed: A Mobile Cat Groomer Mystery by Ruth J. Hartman. This is such a good series. They can be read as standalones by I always recommend reading them in order because you get a better knowledge of the characters. In this book the murder starts right at the beginning and Molly and her feline friends are hot on the trail. The victim was not a well liked person so its going to be even harder for Molly and her gang to solve it. Molly is a hoot and I laughed out loud several times during this fun read. The trouble she and her feline friends get into are often times hilarious. If you love cozy mysteries that will make you laugh out loud and can read in one sitting, then you have found your series. Such a fun read!

Can I Keep Her by Lois Wickstrom. This is my favorite children’s author so we always know we are in for a treat with her books. This story was no different. Its the story of Wynnie and Lem who find a weird egg on a wall. When it hatched it was a dragon and Wynnie was given one day by the King to train it. Wynnie is determined that the dragon will make a good pet so she is going to do whatever it takes to prove it. The illustrations are always great in these books and the stories always have great lessons in them. Such a great read for the young kids in your life. Would also make a great gift.

The Boss of Centocelle (A Commissario Scala Mystery in Rome) by P.J. Mann. This is the newest addition in the Commissario Scala Mystery and it was just as good if not better than the other 5. I do recommend reading them all in order however they can be read as standalones. This edition has Detective Scala in Italy investigating the death of 2 cousins who were up to no good. These cousins are deep in the drug underworld and when he starts investigating he realizes that there is trouble in the drug world. They are fighting among themselves and that’s always good for the investigators! What Detective Scala doesn’t account for is this case taking him away from his family more so than usual and they aren’t happy about it. Will he be able to figure out how to have balance where his family isn’t missing him and still be able to get his job done? This thriller will have you flipping pages late in the night on the edge of your seat. I love this series so much!

Secrets, Lies and Betrayals (Protect and Honor Series) by Lynn Wood. This is my first book by this author but wow, it won’t be my last. This book was so hard to put down that I read it in just a few settings. Its the story of Michaela Manning who has lived under a assumed name for over 20 years because when she was 3 she was shot because of her grandfather who was killed as well. Living under the name of Lea Milan as an artist in Europe she has become quite successful and has constantly been looking over her shoulder because of her father and his political aspirations. Maxwell Cole is the security guy who saved Lea at the age of 3 and he continues to look after her all these years later. When her secret identity is in danger of being found out will Maxwell be able to continue to protect her? This political thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat til you are finished. Such a great book!

Meal Time at the Zoo: PB&J Café by James Williamson. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it for sure won’t be the last. It’s the story of a monkey butler who delivers peanut and jelly sandwiches to all the different animals in the zoo. The fun thing is they all eat their sandwiches differently. Told with rhymes and awesome illustrations this book will be a hit with the 3 to 8 year old in your family. My 6 year old nephew loved every second of it! Do yourself a favor and pick up this fun book for the young one or teacher in your life today!

Five Tries To Get It Right by Kathryn Dodson. This is such a good family, drama, romance. Its the story of Lydia & Kate and they are both going thru a rough time in their lives. Lydia’s husband has passed away and her daughter has left to go on a trip so she feels all alone and lost. Kate has gone thru a divorce and finding out her husband’s new girlfriend is pregnant is the icing on the cake. Lydia & Kate have been friends for a long time so when Kate decides to end her life Lydia is by her side every step of the way. Once Kate is back on her feet they decide they need to go on a trip and get away for a while. While on their trip they have all kinds of adventure and fun. The friendship they share is truly beautiful and this story will stick with you for a long time.

A Cold Day In Hell (Life Is Hell Book 5) by Naomi Valkyrie. This is the 5th book in this series and its amazing. I have really enjoyed this series even though they can be read as standalone its been great reading them in order. This is a supernatural read which is not my favorite but I’ve come to really enjoy this series. Its the story of Hadassah Engel who is an Angel and Malakhi’s sister and Jezebel the shifter. Hadassah is in trouble for sharing her power with her brother because he has been banished from Heaven. While waiting for her trouble to end she goes on the run with Jezebel because of Jezebel’s past. While on the run Hadassah learns more and more about Jezebel’s past and how being family means so much to her. This is such a good continuation of the past books and I love all of the characters. Do yourself a favor and read this series today!

Kris & The Cowboys (The Adventures of Kris) by Art Blegen. This is such a fun series and your young chapter readers will love it. They are geared toward 6 to 10 year old and they make great gifts. In this story Kris visits her Uncle on his cattle ranch and when he won’t allow her to go along with them on a real cattle drive she invents one in her imagination and what an imagination she has. On her cattle drive a cow and cowboy turn up missing making them think he is a rustler and must be hunted down. There are mountain lions, thievery and more in this fun story. Your young new chapter readers will love it. It would also make a great family gift or teacher gift to read to the classroom!
