Winter is beginning to set in and its time for Fay and her friends to head for warmer water. Fay and her friends set out to help the others causing a parade of friends. They decide to call it the Kindness parade. They spread kindness, joy and fun along the way. This is such a sweet story that teaches being kind, helping others, compassion and empathy. The illustrations are also beautiful. This book would make such a great gift to the child in your life or a teacher. The rhymes and fun pictures will give your child tons of enjoyment.

Finding Cheer (Magical Emerald Hollow Series) by Heather Schneider. I love this series, its so magical and fun. In this addition we return to Emerald Hollow and find Sofia who has had her heart broken so she is very afraid to let anyone in. While Sofia is on her annual birthday hike she runs into a guy that is passed out. His name is Isaiah and Sofia and her friend Ash give him the medical attention he needs. The only problem is when he comes to, he doesn’t know who he is. Sofia is intrigued so she sets out to help him find his identity. She is very attracted to him but is very cautious. As Sofia spends more and more time with Isaiah she really likes him and the feelings are mutual. Will she be brave and let him in? Isaiah is really a mystery because he doesn’t even know who his is. Will they be able to find out who he is and why he is in Emerald Hollow.

Oscar and Emmy Foster Kittens (Oscar and Emmy Series) by Terri Sabol. These books are so fun and educational. This one takes on fostering kittens and all the work and time it takes. Charlie & Abby are learning so much about kittens and fostering. They learn that it takes a lot of time and patience and work. It teaches children that animals are not disposable and that all the shelters are full. This is such a cute, warm story filled with love and compassion. Suitable for young children and the pictures are beautiful! Great for teachers of young children or families!

Finders Keepers, Cowboy (Match Made in Montana Series) by Rachelle Paige Campbell. This is such a good friends/enemies romance. I’m not a huge romance fan but when you throw in a hot cowboy I can manage! Meg is a antiques dealer and when her business becomes in danger of closing her sweet old neighbor, Hank tries to help her. He has a ton of stuff in his shed that he wants her to sell. The only problem is his grandson Ryan. Ryan and Meg have known each other for years but have always disliked each other. Meg is as sweet as they come but she is a little hard headed and talks a lot. Ryan is the hot cowboy next door but he has never like Meg and she has no clue why. When she begins to work in the shed at Ryan’s farm she sees him a lot more than she intended to and while there Ryan thinks maybe he has labeled Meg wrong. The only problem he has with Meg now is she’s a distraction away from the Ranch and trying to make the Ranch a successful business is hard enough without wanting to be around some girl all day. Will they be able to save Meg’s business, make the Ranch a viable business and fall in love? I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Stars in the City (Stars in the City Series) by Krysten Lindsay Hager. This is a great young adult romance. Valeria is the normal teenager except for the fact that she is semi famous because she stars on a popular soap opera. Trying to navigate a relationship with another actor is so hard because every thing you do is in the tabloids so when the relationship blows up its all over the tabloid news. Valeria isn’t sure she can do this again. She is trying to finish high school and continue being a actress but its so hard. One day she happens to run into another ex on the streets and she realizes that she still has feelings for him. As they begin to get closer she is very happy but she’s not sure if Alan can handle all the media attention. Everything she does is out there because of her job. Will he be able to withstand all the chaos? This is such a good young adult romance!

Kris & The Pirates (The Adventures of Kris) by Art Blegen. This is such a good kids read. Its the story of Kris who is not looking forward to going to a costume party with her dad. Trying not to think about it she decide to read her book. Her book is a lot more fun than some costume party, its full of pirates, secret treasures and fun animals that talk. While she is reading her book the story also talks about not wasting time and spending time with family along with learning about boats and the names of certain spots on the boat. This book is for older kids maybe around 11-14 and is so fun and full of adventure. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone! Great book for the pre teen, early teen in your life!

I love this series and its so fun for kids aged 7-12. Its the story of Lora and CJ who are young children that really want a dog. Their parents tell them that if they learn all they can about the responsibilities of owing a dog and what exactly owing a dog entails. They read all the books they can get about dog’s and dog ownership and then they talk to dog owners. They learn all about grooming, going to the vet, vaccinations and training dogs so that they are responsible pet owners. They also learn about the different breeds of dogs and try to determine what breed would be best for their family. Will their parents think they have done enough to earn the right to get a dog? Read this fun book to find out!

Queen of the Fairies by Lois Wickstrom. I love this author, she is one of my very favorite children’s authors. This story is about a little girl who wants to write a story about fairies. She realizes that when she writes about fairies if she writes about the good ones she will have to write about the bad ones as well. The good fairies make the world a better place and fun to live and the bad fairies play tricks and have fun. These stories are so fun and always have a lesson to learn that make these books a great gift for families and teachers. This book is good for ages 3-5 and my 5 year old nephew loved it!

Charlotte’s Control (The Control Series) by Maggie Sims. This is such a fun historical romance. Its the story of Charlotte who has been a widow for a while now. She is ready to start a new life and possibly find love again so she attends a ball. While at the ball she meets William who is much younger than her and they become lovers. William is the future Earl so as time passes and they begin to have feelings for one another his father tries everything he can to break them up. William is set to inherit his families run down estate and his father doesn’t want Charlotte to have anything to do with it. Society is also hard on them because they are not the typical couple, she is older than him and a widow. He is young and sought after but he knows what makes him happy and its Charlotte. This is such a fun book!

The Closer (The Hustlers Trilogy) by Rowan Rossler. This is the 3rd book in the Hustler’s Series and its a great read. Its a enemies to lovers romance about June who is fearing her start up company is about to fail and Dallas Evener who she had a very hot and steamy romance with years ago that blew up. Dallas is the only one that can possibly save her company. Even though she hates to reach out to him she knows she has to. She can let him help her with her company and move one but deep down even she knows that is going to be hard. Dallas is so arrogant and rich and thinks he can do whatever he wants and get by with it. June just needs his money to help her through this chaos with her company but being around Dallas brings up all the old memories, good and bad. Will they be able to work together and not get involved again. This book can be read as a standalone but I prefer reading them in order!

Code Dog by Lois Wickstrom. This is my favorite children’s author and these are for a little older kids around 8-12 years old. Its a fun story about Timmy, Arthur & Ben who have been tasked with finding a time capsule that is over 200 years old. It was originally found 100 years ago and dug up and buried somewhere else. All they have to do is follow the map and they will get $1000 prize. Timmy is looking after someone’s dog and the dog Cody ends up being a huge help. She can track, she can tell your fortune and she can even speak in morse code. Will they find the time capsule? This author is so good, she always tells a great story but there are also lessons thrown in. These books are educational and fun!

She can make money and research her family roots. While there Laura finds herself along with her family history. She realizes she can make decisions for herself and do things she couldn’t before. She also meets a man named Hugh and even though Laura thought she could never fall in love again, she does. Will they be able to work it out? This is a fun quick read about falling in love and not having to give up on life when you get older.

Secrets of the Moon (Chronicles of the Lost Child Series) by Kristy Centeno . This is a great 1st book to the Chronicles of the Lost Child series. I can’t wait to read the next one. Its the story of Marjorie who was in a really bad car accident that severely injured herself and several of her friends. Several months later Marjorie is still haunted by the accident because she was behind the wheel and because it left on of her best friends in a wheelchair. She beats herself up daily and on top of that her family has been put thru the ringer financially and they don’t let her forget it. When Kyran Rousseau walks onto her school campus she is smitten. He’s gorgeous and everyone on campus is enthralled by him. Marjorie is especially drawn to Kyran but so is everyone else. Marjorie is so intuitive and can tell that Kyran is full of secrets and so is his family. Kyran knows Marjorie is his mate but with his mood swings and erratic behavior Marjorie isn’t sure about him. Not realizing she is in imminent danger Kyran will protect at every cost! This is a great werewolf love story. Can’t wait to read the next one.

The Glow in Loretta’s Garden (Loretta’s Insects) by Lois Wickstrom. This is mine and my nephews favorite author so we were super excited to read this one. Its the cutest story about Loretta finding glowing bugs in her flower garden. Loretta collects a few of them and puts them in her ant farm to study them. She gets scared when they quit glowing in her ant farm so she shakes them and they start glowing again making her happy. She finally decides that she needs to set them free and when she does she realizes they are fireflies! She then takes it upon herself to learn all she can about fireflies. She watches them and studies them all the time. This book is so good for kids to learn about fireflies and it’s also good for teachers to use in the classroom. All of the books by this author are very educational!

When she meets Liam and has a one night stand with him something is different. The one night stand turns into a second and third when Liam realizes he doesn’t want to have just a one night stand with Emma. They begin to be friends with benefits and then realize they want more. Liam has some secrets having to do with his family and decides he’s going to propose to Emma so he can get his inheritance. He has to stay married for a year and he and Emma think they can manage. The only problem is they begin to get feelings for one another and that causes major problems! Will they be able to last a year or will they want more or worse it all fall apart. Read this steamy contemporary romance to find out!

Mermaid Tails by Suzanna Lynn. This is such a good book for kids ages 3-12. The pictures are vibrant and the story is so cute. I have nephews and the younger one loved it. The book describes the wonderful world of mermaids and they can all be different. It describes their tails and how different each one can be. Kids can also learn a “fun fact” about the ocean and all of its wonderful things. This book would be a great gift for a family and even for a teacher for her classroom. Such a fun, educational read for kids and families.

This is Jake’s story who is the twin brother of country singer Jim Bob Blade. When he goes to Port Townsend to attend his other brothers wedding he sets tongues to wagging. He has quit his job as CEO of a big company and doesn’t really hides his frustrations at his brothers getting to live their lives and not have any worries. Jake gets a Victorian Mansion to live in and tries to deal with the loss of a dear friend. He’s also embarking on a new career, writing thrillers.

No Rest for the Wicked (Life is Hell Series) by Naomi Valkyrie . This book was an amazing start to this series! I love this author so I wasn’t surprised but wow. Its the story of Delilah who is a demon who gets revenge on cheaters. She is burned out and needs a change of pace so she heads to Juniper Lake where she thinks it will be quiet and calm, of course that is not what she finds. The sheriff Malakahi has been sheriff in Juniper Lake for a few years now and he is so tried of trying to hide the fact that he is not human. Delilah keeps getting the sense of a spell coming on and somehow gets bonded to a trio of witches. She also keeps getting a pull toward the sheriff and she knows that won’t work out. Will Malakahi find out that Delilah is a demon before she can get done what she needs to? Seems like the sheriff is everywhere Delilah shows up. She also has the witches to deal with. She came here wanting a break and she is not getting that at all. Such a fun, fast paced paranormal romance.

England: Cultured, Classic, and Charming: A Guide to Hidden England (The Hidden Gems Series) by Christy Nicholas. This is the 3rd book in the Hidden Gems Series and I have really enjoyed this series. Its very informative and interesting. I like it because it tells you about the hidden gem places that you might miss if going by a regular travel guide. This book also gives you a lot of history on England and all the nuances that make it so lovely. It also has lots of information about planning things and how that works in England. Being a foreign Country for us its a great guide that explains a lot of stuff that you wouldn’t normally find. The only bad thing about this book is you will want to book a trip to England immediately. I’m looking forward to the next one.

The Complete Echo Series: A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series) by C.R. Alam. This is such a good romantic series. One of my favorite books was Dangerous Rhythm. Its the story of Lina who used to be Army intelligence but now works as Security for the rock band Canis Major. Curtis is the epitome of rock star, he loves money, women and a wild lifestyle. Lina is loving this easy job until she gets involved with Curtis. She has been trying to avoid him because she gets her emotions all involved. When Curtis sees something he shouldn’t he becomes a target of the Mob. Lina has to be around him now so that she can protect him from this threat. Lina isn’t strong enough to fight her attraction to Curtis but she has to for the sake of Curtis’ safety. Will she be able to keep Curtis safe along with fighting her attraction to him. Will Curtis ever settle down so that Lina won’t be heartbroken! I loved this book because of the mystery along with the romance! I also really enjoyed Echoing Hearts. This is the first story of The Echo Series and its a slow burn romance. Its the story of Rae who has been reluctant to find love because she has watched her mom be heartbroken for a long time. She is a travel blogger and goes to Dean Rowland’s ranch to do a article on it. Dean is angry at everyone due to being left at the altar. When he sees Rae he thinks she is trespassing so their first meet it not pretty. After their initial meeting he can’t get her out of is mind and he wants nothing more than to see her again. She refuses all his advances and when she finally gives in and they are starting to see each other her best friend comes to town and causes upheaval. Dean has never been jealous like this. Will he ruin their new relationship because of his jealousy.

Mistaken Identity (London Detective Agency Series) by Stephanie R. Caffrey. This is a wonderful romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Grad student Evelyn is on her way to Greece and while in the airport in London she is mistaken for someone else and Private Investigator Patrick thinks Evelyn is someone else so he grabs her. Megan is the girl that Patrick was looking for and after he realizes Evelyn is not the girl he’s after he lets her go. Hurrying to get on the plane Evelyn mistakenly picks up Megan’s suitcase putting her in serious danger. This leaves Patrick feeling like he has to protect Evelyn. As they spend time together they begin to grow feelings for each other. This book will keep you flipping pages late in the night. Such a good romantic suspense!

Before I Let You Go by Kellie Wallace. This is an amazing romantic suspense that’s a little dark around the edges. I was sucked in the moment I read the first page. Its the story of Elsbeth who has just had a really bad breakup along with a falling out with her sister. So not feeling welcome in her own home she decides she needs a change of pace. Luckily she finds out she has inherited a country home off the French coast. Thinking that her life is about to change for the better she is sadly mistaken. Once she arrives at the home its a mess. A huge disaster along with all she can think about is her sick father and the fallout with her sister. While in France she meets a man named Bishop who is very interested in. He’s handsome, a little mysterious and seems to be open to her. While getting to know Bishop she learns more about the dark history of the house and what all has happened in the past leaving a stain on its reputation. Weird things begin to happen and Elsbeth is not sure she made the right decision in coming here. Read this fun romantic fantasy to find out the crazy stuff that happens in this fun book!

Hood of Sedna (Stevie Capot Chronicles) by Mina Skye. This is the first book in the Steampunk series Stevie Capot Chronicles. Its such a fun book full of adventure, fantasy, warlocks and witches. I didn’t want to put this book down and this isn’t my favorite genre but it sucked me in. Its the story of Stevie who isn’t quite sure what exactly she is. Apparently in the past she lived a very exciting life but she can’t remember any of it. She has awakened from being asleep for 10 years and taken in by a man and his son. When she can’t tell them who or what she is she leaves quickly. She begins traveling with Gabriel and his cousin Sebastian and along the way Gabriel begins to think she looks a lot like the fae Princess Stephanie who has been gone a long time. Gabriel goes straight to the King to tell him what he thinks. He is ordered to find out for sure who Stevie is. Being that he was madly in love with her for years he should be able to tell. Along with others searching for Stevie and a lot of them are dangerous not former friends. Will Stevie be able to get her memory back before she ends up in the wrong hands? Read this fast paced fantasy to find out!

The Hidden Present (Invisible Magic Wand) by Lois Wickstrom. These are the best books and I always get them for my nephews. They love them. They are 6 & 10 years old. Its the continuing story of Caspian and the fun relationship he has with his grandpa. Caspian’s grandpa started leaving Caspian unbirthday presents under the table at different times but this year when he wakes up on his unbirthday there isn’t a present there. What he does find is a Inquisitive Indicator that will help him find it. With the indicator in hand he begins the search for his present and along the way finds all kinds of fun things. These are the cutest reads for kids of all ages and they would make great gifts for families or teachers for their classroom!

The Archcrusade: Tome One (The Archcrusade Series) by K. M. Hogenson. This is by far the longest book I’ve read in a long time but surprisingly it was not difficult. It was engaging and entertaining and I couldn’t wait to start reading again each time I put it down. Its the story of Basil but you meet so many more characters and find out their stories. Its like multiple stories in one book. Its easy to keep up with and so fun. There is magic, action, adventure, paranormal,fantasy, werewolves, vampires, you name it, its in this book. I can’t possibly mention all the characters without missing something so just know there are multiple characters and their stories and they are so well written that you feel like you have been to this crazy world and you know all the characters. Basil along with other characters face danger, suffering, life threatening acts and all kinds of adventures. This book will keep you on your toes and I can’t wait to read this next one. If you love adventure, danger and fantasy this book is for you!

Give Us Bad Boys & Billionaires by L.M. Mountford. This is such a good collection of sexy stories. One of my favorite stories was “Falling for my Son’s best friend”. Its the story of Elizabeth who is going thru empty nest syndrome with her son moving away to college. She ends up going to visit her best friend and she is out of town. The only person there is her best friend’s son Hugh. Is she seriously considering a relationship with her best friend’s son? Such a fun read. The next one I really enjoyed was “Under my BFF”S daddy. Its the story of Cassandra who is getting over a rough break up so she decides to go on a trip with her BFF. Her BFF’s dad happens to be there and Cassandra has always had a secret crush on him. Will they cross that bridge that they can’t go back from? “Her Dark Savior” is my other favorite. In this story Kate is hunting down whoever killed her brother and she is out for blood. She ends up making some dangerous people mad and is in danger. Out of nowhere a dark handsome stranger come in and saves her and she needs to pay him for that rescue doesn’t she? Such a fun collection of erotic romances.

Make Me Burn (North Fork Series) by Alicia Street. I loved this book and it can be read as a standalone. Its the story of Logan who didn’t really have a family growing up so Victor a friend of Logan’s took him in and his family became Victor’s family. Victor has a little sister named Jinx and Jinx fell in love with Logan but knew there was no future because he was best friends with her brother. Logan and Victor have a falling out and Logan leaves without a goodbye leaving Jinx broken hearted. When she runs into Logan years later and they share a night together they realize the feelings are still there but with the feud still ongoing how will they make it work. This is such a good contemporary romance. Read to find out if Jinx can fix the rift between Logan and her family or even find out what it was about.

Managing Mischief (Shattered Embrace Series) by Alyndra Quinn. This is the second book in the Shattered Embrace Series and I highly recommend reading the 1st book because the characters are a continuation from that book. Its the story of Zach & Ashton and their BDSM lifestyle. They are both new to this lifestyle and Zach wants to take things slow which in turn causes Ashton to think he doesn’t want to be with her. When Ashton is offered her dream job out of state will she take it and destroy everything she’s built with Zach. Zach also has a past that could very easily come back to haunt him and may destroy what he’s got going on now. The Chemistry is red hot between Zach and Ashton but will they be enough for them to make it work without outside influences breaking them apart. Read this spicy love story to find out!

Shadowed Deception: A Psychological Suspense Thriller (Shadow Defense Security Series) by Mavery Ellscott. I love this series and I loved this book. Its the continuing story of Finlay, a investigative journalist, who is deep undercover working at a bar trying to get information on the trafficking going on. She is in Paris on assignment and Drake from Shadow Defense Security is there to check on her because he feels she may be in over her head. Drake is a former Navy Seal and now is a partner of Shadow Defense Security. Drake dislikes journalists a lot but Finlay is becoming a good pain. It doesn’t help with his growing attraction to her and the last thing he wants is a relationship especially with a journalist. Finlay promised a friend she met in Mexico that she would help her find her sister who had been kidnapped. Will Finlay be able to help her friend without getting herself in trouble. Read this fast paced thriller to find out!
