Descallia: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 1)Descallia: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved it! That is the easiest way to sum up what I thought of this book. This was a first time author for me, and I am so glad I got to start reading their work! This was a first novel in the series, and needless to say I will be defiantly reading the next ones to follow. It had the right amount of mystery, paranormal, and flames of desire to fuel my inner heart as I sip my coffee and hang onto the pages as I turn them.

First off, I picked this book up as its one of my favorite genres-paranormal. Throw in a super sexy vampire whom is a Overlord named Salvatore and yes you have me hooked even more! His descriptions were defiantly fantasy material. But, I what I truly loved about Salvatore was his personality. Don’t get me wrong, he was his own version of fire, and he had that characteristic strong in him. But other than his sex appeal he was a strong character, mind wise I would say. He cared for his people. They were being blamed for other female humans vanishing. He wanted nothing more to solve the mystery and put an end to this. He had a rough exterior but I loved his caring side he did not let out very often.

Salvatore was a lone vampire to say until he met a creature whom not only captures his eyes, but in small words his very soul. Her name was Luciana and she was looking into the case of the women who strangely began to vanish with no reason. I loved her personally. She was strong minded as well, but she was stubborn in the sense of she’s not letting anything stop her. She was a detective working undercover and she was the type of person who would not rest till the case was done and buried with. What I most found intriguing of her, was what she could do with her mind. You will have to read it to see what I am referring to at this point.

Sparks fly when these two meet. There was strong desire, but also strong sense will that giving in would just be a mess of trouble. But can these two truly ignore the flames that ignite around them? The touch that gives that very fire to your soul, can you really ignore what you want so bad? Or is giving in perhaps the worst idea to ever cross your mind knowing there could be consequences?

As the plot thickens, lots of loose ends seemed to be tied together as the mystery unraveled. As well what was instore for Lucianna and Salvatore! This book gave so much to me and I wanted more still. it was just so good and I did not want t put it down. it was as if a ember in my own soul was right there with the characters and I as well was trying to resist the heat that I wanted to consume me.

Loved this book for all it brought, and all it left me wanting more of. the characters were made to be very well done and very easy to get to know as well as distinguish them! The author did an amazing job and I can not truly wait for the next books in the series. They truly know how to captivate their reader and keep them reading those pages to see what happens next!

Again loved this book and truly recommend! You will not be disappointed in any shape or form!

My first draw to this book was the cover. This is a new author to me and I have enjoyed this experience and will be reading more from this author. I enjoyed this dark vampire romance story. Salvatore has a bit of a reputation and is the ruler of the underworld. Suddenly large kidnapping of women start to happen including someone close to the master getting these two working close together. What am amazing start to the series.

This book is a mix of it all.
First off – the only thing I can think to compare this book too is an inside look of the Volturi from twilight in the best ways. We follow Luce as she goes undercover into the Vampire Overmasters Casino/Club. Although, her mission to figure out where kidnapped girls all around the city, becomes complicated when Salvatore Overmaster sets his sights on Luce. The tension between them, and the very short timeline they have to save the women. A situation causing Luce to be turned a vampire herself, having to learn about her powers on the go. The sexual tension in this book was SO GOOD & the author build up was amazing – and totally rewarding in the end😏

Master Descallia is the first book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. Sylvia is a new author to me, and I was hoping this paranormal tale would be enjoyable. But what I got was so much more. This dark Vampire romance story instantly drew me in and hooked in deep, so much so that I was suddenly lost to the beauty of the harsh world that Sylvia had created right from the start. It is fast paced, intense, full of suspense and certainly sizzling. You know it’s a good story when you see your husband standing there waving his arms at you because you are so lost in the story that you didn’t hear him the first two times. I wish it were a little longer.

I enjoyed this dark vampire romance story. This is a new author for me and I can’t wait to read book two in the future. This is a well written story that the author used details to make the story feel realistic and engaging. The characters are relatable and really made the story for me. Salvatore is the Overlord of the Consulate of Masters. Women are disappearing and his clan is being accused of this. He is determined to get his enemies until he meets a new challenge, Lucianna. She feels helpless against him and his touch is heat. The problem is in order for him to help her, he must make her immortal. What happens next I highly recommend reading this book to find out. I enjoyed their growth throughout the story and their chemistry is off the charts. I really enjoyed this book. It is worth the pick up for sure.

This was a fabulous book. Onto book two. Salvatore Descallia is the Overlord of 12 Master Vampire secs worldwide. The vampires are trying to keep the eyes of the police off them as women are going missing. They need to figure out who is abducting these women and why. Lucianna is an undercover detective who is to start working at Master and Overloads casino bar to gain information and crack the case. Lucianna has special powers for a human and can see visions of past, present and future. When she and Salvatore meet for the first time, sparks fly. They are pulled to each other. Can the two of them work together on this abhorrent mystery?
I could not put this book down. I didn’t want it to end.

This is a full length Vampire Romance. Get ready for getting hooked on this series. No Spoilers! Not recommended for those under 18, due to adult content. Warning….. Please read book 1 first, as this is the continued saga.

Kaysee, one you would do best not to mess with. As a Vampire she is mean as the day is long, if you challenge her. Having Dominic kidnapped did not slow her down. She wants revenge, her husband and her family back. Will she save the night, or will this be the fight that brings her down? Will she put a stop to  the Hybrid Pandemic? Welcome to the world for the Vampire.

L.D. Wosar is a new author for me. While I don’t normally read Vampire Romance, I am Pleased I took a chance on this author. The story is fast paced and easy to follow. Kaysee is truly an independent woman who needs nobody to rescue her or her family. She stands for what she believes, and gets what she wants. But not without the fight. Well Done L.D. Wosar! Well Done! !

This is the 2nd book in the Jaded Vamp series.  This is an audio book and is just under 6 hours listening time.  This story follows Kaysee and Dominic.  Decades have passed and Panthaos has now breeched the estate and is on the lookout for Dominic.  Kaysee and her coven have been working to rid the world of Vycans and in the midst of it all, her husband and son come up missing.  Claudia, Dominic’s maker, is looking to get him back from Kaysee.  Kaysee knows nothing of their relationship.  Great story and great narrator!

While, this book is the second in it’s series I have only read this book in the Jaded Vamp series by L.D. Wosar. I was at first a little lost, but it didn’t take long for me to catch on. I absolutely LOVED this book. It was full of romance and action, my two favorite things. It had a strong, bad-ass, female lead, which I love! I’m also a sucker for vampire novels. I loved the writing style of L.D. Wosar and the creativity found in this book. I give it 5 stars- I will definitely be going back to read the first one.

Thrilling, action packed, enemies to lovers with some spice thrown in! This book has a little bit for every type of reader! Tasha was a fierce main character, she did what she had to do to survive but also followed her heart and stayed true to who she was. Levi was an alpha in every sense of the word, he was strong, commanding and passionate. Watching the vampires and lycans realize how much they actually needed each other to get through this war was *chefs kisses*. I can’t wait to see how this story plays out in book two! I want to see them make it to their pairs!

Wild Vamp by L.D. Wosar

Narrated by Aaron Smith

Four Stars

Wild Vamp is the second book in the Jaded Vamp series by L.D. Wosar. This is the first book I have listened to by this author. That being said, I found the book enjoyable, but wish I had listened to the first book before this one. If you are looking for a kick a** female character, this is the series for you. This story flowed well, with a lot of action and fight scenes. I like the premise of these vampires, but again I feel I would have had more knowledge if I read the first book. I’m looking forward to listening to both the first and the third books in the series.

This is also the first time I have listened to a narration by Aaron Smith. His growly voice grew on me as the book progress. He did a great job of bringing the characters to life. I look forward to listening to more narrations by Mr. Smith.

I truly enjoyed reading this book! I was sucked in immediately with the young love that was forbidden and their promise to meet up years later. The author did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life in my mind and their inner struggles to survive. Admittedly, I am a sucker for strong male characters that find their mates and will go to any length to protect them.

Cannot wait for the next book!!

WILD VAMP (JADED VAMP BOOK 2) AUDIO BOOK by L.D. WOSAR – Review by Carly Vogler

Wild Vamp is the second book in the Jaded Vamp Series. I would not recommend reading this on it’s on due to the fast pace of the book, but it can be done. There is a large time gap that makes it a little easier, I think. It makes more sense as a series, and you are absolutely missing out if you do not listen to the other stories.

Kaysee is on a wild goose chase looking for her husband and child. Most people would have been distraught and just let go, but not Kaysee. She is strong willed and determined and will stop at nothing to find those she loves.

By Seelie Kay

This book was an unexpected gem. I found it to be original, full of suspense, twists and turns, vampires, and so much more. This wasn’t just another vampire story, there were so many other elements going on all while there is a serial killer trying to kill lawyers and Donovan can’t figure out the connection between the lawyers that are being murdered. Donovan is a smooth talker and a bit of a ladies man until he starts seeing Judge Shirley Magnusen. I had a hard time putting this book down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. Who would be the next victim? Would they figure out who the killer is? To find these things out you need to read this book. This isn’t the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be my last. I suggest reading this story, you won’t regret it.

We’re all familiar with Underworld and the vampire/lycan romance that happens in it, in fact that is what drew me to this book in the first place. Lovers coming together against all odds and ending up having to work together for the greater good of both of their people is amazing to me! Tasha and Levi start out as two young teenagers that enjoy the salaciousness of their relationship but as years tick by without ever seeing each other, they realize it was much more than just a summer fling. However, it’s not all love and sex for these two; things are coming to fruition that have been in the works for decades unbeknownst to most of their kinds. A thrilling read for any romance and action/adventure and supernatural enthusiast, there is something for any of us in this story.

Forbidden Wolf (Book One in the Shadow Chronicles series) by CR Robertson was a really interesting read! This book was unique to me, I’ve never read one quite like this one before. It was interesting seeing a vampire and werewolf hook up, that was very unique to me. There was a lot of steamy scenes, action, and I thought suspense as well. It had all the thrills of a paranormal romance. I enjoyed the descriptive way the author was able to write and describe everything, I felt like I was right there along for the ride with Tasha and Levi. This is my first book by Robertson before I definitely wasn’t disappointed! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

The killer does not know the secret way of killing vampires. Donovan falls in love with Shirley a judge that almost dies by the hands of the killer and they go in hiding for a little bit to wait it out. They end up having a long discussion of turning her so they can get married. They have to bring it to the counsel to have the final say. Who could the killer be a crazy ex lover or someone coming back with a grudge from a past trial? What do all the victims have in common? There is only one way to start a vampire story. Make it Spicy! And author Seelie Kay did not disappoint in this wonderful book First, We Kill All The Lawyers (Donovan Trait Series).
There is no denying Donovan Trait, one of the best lawyers in town, knows what he is doing in the courtroom and in the bedroom! He is a vampire after all, they have been around the block a time or two. 300 years to be exact.
Donovan might have seen a thing or two, but never found a true love. Until now. And she is Human.
If all that wasn’t enough to keep him on his toes. Why not add a killer on the loose that wants to kill all the lawyers?
Donovan has his hands full after he is one of the first lawyers to be attacked. He has to keep his “life style” hidden since he can’t die from normal human things like being stabbed and shot.
It’s a whirlwind of emotions and crazy ups and downs. But this book is at the top of my list. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

This is the story of Tasha and Levi, Tasha is a vampire with special gifts which she has to hide from her coven, she doesn’t have much affection from her parents, but she adores her little sister and now that Tasha is nearing twenty one years old, after her next birthday she will be conscripted into the vampire army, but she always feels trapped by her coven and the secrets she has to keep, so every night she goes into the forest around her to be free and be herself while nobody is watching. When she does this she can use her gift to sense the world around her and connect with the souls residing within it and her main goal is to find an elusive balck jaguar which has been seen around the base. Levi is a werewolf with a distinctive black pelt, he is a loner and prefers to spend his time in the forest learning about what resides within it when he isn’t hunting to prepare for when he joins with others in a military unit, but this one day both Tasha and Levi run into each other on the boundaries of their respective lands when she believes he is the black jaguar and sensing what the other is, they bite each other in an attack first and ask questions later way that their kinds have been trained to do during the war between their races and afterwards, fully expecting that they will die within a few hours from the poisons contained within each.

As they stand and argues over who bit who first and why, as well as what they are going to do now, so as the poisons flow through their systems, they introduce themselves to each other and although neither wants to be with the other as they die, Levi mentions a cave nearby where they can spend their last few hours together and talk. When they get there and they sit with each other, neither of them can deny a certain attraction fizzling between them, Tasha hasn’t felt like this towards anyone else in her coven and she is both scared and excited by it, but she also feels strangely safe with him, Levi is just as confused at his feelings about Tasha and when they share a kiss as they lay dying on the cave floor, the unfairness of the situation really takes hold, especially when Tasha has a last course of bloodlust, she can’t resists biting Levi and tasting his blood one last time. However, as they bite into each other something happens and they start to heal and recover and one thing leads to another and they are kissing again while still mystified at what has happened until the sun rises and Levi shifts into his wolf form to protect Tasha from the deadly rays, but as night falls they reemerge from the cave and walk back to the boundaries discussing their surroundings on the way.

What should have been a death warrant, was something they couldn’t resist as they agree to meet again the next night and many nights after that, however, as their time together comes to an end they agree to meet again once their conscription ends, however, the war isn’t all it is slated as and the future becomes more uncertain for them every day they are fighting, especially when a new enemy comes to the fore, but will they be able to keep their love a secret and stay alive long enough to allow their plans to come to fruition, or will fate intervene and rip them apart? This is an action packed forbidden paranormal romance with plenty of action thrown in for good measure which will keep you hooked until the end.

Forbidden love between vamps and lycans has been that way for decades, but two special people broke that rule. They knew their families would not accept their love because the families had been at war for a long time Enter the master hellspawn, hated by both vamps and lycans alike. This evil spawn brought both sides together to help defeat this beast. Filled with a lot of action and some steamy romance, this is a great book for the paranormal romanced lover. The well-written characters and twisted plot will grab you in and won’t let you loose til the very end.
