Love the Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot is an enchanting 5 star read! This story follows Kara, a young princess who was adopted by the King and Queen of Starrycrest. I absolutely loved Kara, a relatable character who struggles with deep insecurities due to her disability. I very much enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend this wonderful 5 star read. This book is very inspiring, and I look forward to reading more by Allison!

This was a great adventure set in the future. In this age of modern technology and all the advancements that happen its a very thought provoking book. It leaves you thinking could this happen one day.
The year is 2040 and everyone is wearing Spex and mindseye. Everyone that is except Lucy. Lucy is concerned that this new technology could lead to someone hacking her brain. Everyone tells her she is wrong but she is more right that they realise.
When her sister Mollie figures out how to delete her husbands memories she shares this knowledge with Lucy and her boyfriend Marco. They use this knowledge to help stop people commiting crimes and students from cheating. It seems an amazing thing until Lucy looks into the Mayors memories and sees Nick.
Little is known about Nick apart from the fact he how the knowledge and means to delete memories. People hire him to remove problems they don’t want and after he removes himself from their memories. He is able to clear his image from everyone apart from Lucy.
Now starts a chase as Nick tries to find her as she is the only link to stopping and identifying him. With Marcos memory gone so he has no memory of her and everyone else’s memory cleared she is on her own in trying to survive and bring Nick down.
I had no idea what to expect from this book. It isn’t my usual read so it could have gone either way. To be honest, I wasn’t really into it at first. However, I stuck with it and it turned out to be a interesting story on the moral dilemma of how far to go when technology gives you access to people’s memories. With some suspense, philosophical deliberations, and a bit of romance, this is a great book for the YA genre.
Winter’s Wolf by Lou Grimes is the first book in The Cursed series. This is a strong start to a new series with interesting characters. This whole book was designed to have an intriguing feel about it. From the inheritance to Louvette’s missing father. I thought the characters we strong, which helped with the story. They held their own and made reading about them so easy. I wanted to know what was going to happen to them. The book was well written and fast paced. It was an exciting story and one I really enjoyed. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell was a great, intriguing novel! I was immediately captured in this book and had a hard time putting it down! This technology filled book read perfect for just about any age. It seemed like the technology schematics in the novel is very reminiscent of what our future could hold, in terms of how advanced technology is getting and by how much our phones and gadgets rule our lives. I’ve never read a novel quite like this one before and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! I can’t wait to more from Mitchell in the future and I highly recommend this novel!
Love the Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot was a super sweet read! I really enjoyed the story and while it dealt with some heavy topics like foster care and being different it was handled very well. I loved Kara. She was a strong and inspiring character. I loved the plot and the message. I definitely would pass this book on to younger readers, and older readers that want to believe in magic again.

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell is a YA sci-fi story with a fast moving plot and has you wondering if the future could behold truths which Ruth has written about. It is definitely a story that gets you thinking along with lots of questions about technology today and what it could mean for the future. I was intrigued with the story and Ruth’s world building. I was a bit thrown at first with the way the narrative changed between characters but once I worked it out I settled in for the adventure. With suspense and mystery, danger and drama and with everything from darkness to lightness it is a little twisty, thrilling and surprising read.
Lucy finds herself in a race against time to stop a hacker who is able to delete memories and change and rewrite their history.
I am looking forward to seeing what Ruth will bring us next.
I had no idea what to expect when I picked up Winter’s Wolf, the first of The Cursed Series from Lou Grimes. This is Lou’s debut novel so was not only new to me but this was a new everything experience. Normally I am not drawn to shapeshifter or werewolf novels easily but this one just grabbed my attention with the teasers and blurb mixed with that gorgeous cover, that I had to know what happened in this book asap!
This book was a quick and fast paced read that never left me on a boring note and had me reading faster and faster to see how the book would culminate. I was so happy that this book included so many genres really that it was not completely consumed by the fact that it was a werewolf story. The characters are strong and fierce and Lou writes them with a conviction that makes them come to life and feel very real. I loved how this ended and look forward to seeing what the next few novels will bring about!

Winter’s Wolf (The Cursed Book 1) by Lou Grimes is a YA paranormal story that has a bit of everything. The story is so vivid that it takes you away from everything and draws you into the world of shifters. I love a good paranormal story and this fit the bill nicely with murder and mystery, drama and suspense, action and adventure, the paranormal, shifters/werewolves, self-discovery, family, friendship, romance and more. I enjoyed the characters and found myself laughing at their banter. The story and the characters were well written about romance, friendships and family. There is so much more story to be told and I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book.

Deleted is the first book I have read by Ruth Mitchell, and I am glad to have come across it. This is one of the most amazing books I have read this year. It made you think so much, and wonder, because something like this could really happen in the future. It wasn’t so futuristic that its sci-fi, but technology you can actually envision. The book focuses around two pieces of technology- that is like wearing a smart phone in your sunglasses, and a mind reader. You can talk to the phone and it will answer and follow your commands. It has apps that can translate in real time, tell you someone’s name with a brief biography, or look something up for you. But with great power comes great temptations and risks. Someone has learned to mind hack, altering and erasing memories. To wake up one day and have your boyfriend or girl friend be a complete stranger. This happens to Lucy and Marco, and they must work together (as strangers) to try to stop it from happening again and again. Highly recommend this book. Not my normal genre, but so happy to have taken the chance on it.

We are back with Misty and Derrick who are now King and Queen of what is now called Starrycrest. This book focuses on their adoptive daughter Kara, who like Misty is in a wheelchair. This is a lovely modern day fairytale with a difference, in that the main character, the princess, Kara has a disability. Kara has the starring role in the Starrycrest Starlets’ production of The Nutcracker, however to achieve her dream she must prepare for the biggest night of her life with a dance partner she does not like. Soon Kara faces bigger concerns and must face her deepest insecurities when big changes occur which threaten her place both within the Denison family and in the kingdom. Things are complicated further for Kara when she hears of a program that helps orphans find their forever families but comes up against refusals from those within the royal family when she attempts to do similar in Starrycrest. In the background are the troublesome trolls who are after revenge following the events in the previous book. Allison M. Boot conjures up a magical world of royal families, kingdoms, magic and trolls and through her detailed descriptions as a reader you really feel fully immersed in Starrycrest. The book is a lovely fairy story but it also deals with, family and family loyalties, adoption, personal insecurities and disability all of which the author has weaved into a magical story with great characters whom you grow to love and admire. The fact that the main character has a disability is sadly a rare thing in a book and this in itself makes Allison M. Boot’s novel unique. The author has written about the disability with such sensitivity and honesty that she brings awareness of disabilities to her readers. Although some of the characters cross over from Boot’s previous book, ‘Just the Way You Are’ and the stories are set in the same kingdom this can be read as a standalone book. I was very impressed with this novel and I hope it both inspires and educates readers that disabilities do not need to hold a person back from fulfilling their potential.

I enjoyed this book. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to seeing more from him. I had no problem connecting with the characters. They made the story interesting and engaging. I also enjoyed how they were supportive of each other which makes the story easy to read. This book took me on a journey of finding out if myths and legends are true or just stories as Adam has been told. He is in search of his missing brother. Problem is there is more than one person looking for the relic. He calls on a group of relic hunters to help him. Will he find the relic in time to save his brother? This is an interesting story that took a little bit for me to get into but once I did it turned out to be a great story. This is a young adult story that anyone would enjoy right along with the journey it takes you on. I highly recommend this book.

I loved reading the book Eagle of the Empire (Relic Hunters) by Martin Ferguson. It is an action/adventure story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It has mystery, action, and danger. I loved reading about the character of Adam Hunter. He is a young man who learns that his brother is missing. He is determined to find him. Along the way Adam finds himself uncovering the truth about the past and the lost Roman Ninth Legion as well as an artifact the Eagle Standard. Adam finds himself with allies from the British Museum. They find that they are not the only ones looking for the fabled artifact. Will Adam and those helping him find the artifact before others do? Will Adam find his brother? Read this book to find out. This is an exciting and entertaining tale. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Adam is an amazing character. He refuses to give up on finding his brother. He is someone I would want to look for me if I was missing. I also enjoyed reading about those who help Adam. There are also those whose agenda is all about power and they will do anything to make sure that their plans succeed. The author does a wonderful job of making me feel like I was right there with the characters on their journey. Don’t miss out on a story that mixes the past with the present. I would highly recommend reading it.

This is my first novel by Ruth Mitchell. Set just a few years into the future, Deleted is a fascinating exploration of how new technology changes (or will change) the way we see each other and the world around us, it’s a fun/funny read too. The characters are realistic and I cared and wondered about each of them.I loved their love story and how bound together they were throughout this twisty, fast-paced, future-set novel.

Louvette has been kicked out of many schools for fighting. She doesn’t start the fights, but she isn’t going to be anyone’s punching bag. After getting kicked out of the most recent school, an attorney arrives saying that she is the beneficiary of her grandfather’s estate since her father is presumed dead. Louvette has never met or even known the name of her father or grandfather, as her mother does not talk about them at all. Once they move into the Blackwood mansion (which is now her new last name thanks to stipulations of the will), Louvette’s life changes in ways she never thought of. She has vivid dreams that she can’t seem to shake. She caught the attention of Arsen on her first day in town, and he is determined to guide her through all these changes. As she learns more about her past, Louvette must decide who she can trust and who she can’t. The story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger…as there are many questions that have no answers yet.
I found myself drawn into the story and want to read the next book when it comes out to get more of the story. I enjoyed watching Louvette learn about her past and who she really is. Her friendship with Cara is great to read and her relationship with Arsen is full of potential. Like I said, I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to the next book.

This is outstanding! It’s a suspenseful thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat and Turing pages late into the night. The flow and way the story was told made it easy to follow along. The story is so different that it intrigued me. Futuristic and not all at the same time. The ending was a shock! Not what I expected to happen at all. But in a way so perfect. The characters are realistic and I cared and wondered about each of them. Nick, Marco and Lucy are smart. Like impressively smart. Each of the secondary characters were excellent. They each played their parts perfectly. Not too much or too little.
I was a little confused at first getting the story set up. BUT HANG IN THERE! Your socks will be blown off! This is a first time author for me. I loved this and will be recommending to others as well as keeping any eye on this author.

Love the Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot is a sweet story where the MC has a disability and is adopted by the King and Queen of the realm. It is a YA fantasy with magic and evil trolls. Allison gives us a story with a message of self acceptance and living with who you are. It is well written and there are lessons for everyone no matter who you are. This story is a beautiful and easy read.

Love the Way You Dance is the sequel to Just the Way You Are by Allison M. Boot. This was a fun enjoyable story. I love the characters that Ms. Boot creates. These books should be read in order, but could be read as standalone. This book grabbed me from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last. Princess Kara is adopted by the King and Queen of Starrycrest, and struggles adjusting to find her place within the family. This story left me feeling really good with a smile on my face. This is the first book by this author I have read and I was not let down. I only read this type of book every so often as I am more into romance but I like to have a bit of a break. This was a refreshing read. The author has a very unique plot and the characters really jump off of the pages.
I must admit that the whole idea of one’s memories being deleted is quite a scary thought. I really felt as though I was in the midst of the action and right there beside the characters. I really could relate with Lucy and even Karen. I like how the author filled the book with intrigue and action. I would like to read more by this author in the future.
Deleted is a great science fiction novel by Ruth Mitchell. This is a genre that I don’t normally read but for some reason was attracted by the blurb. It did take me a little bit to get into the book but that’s just because it’s different from what I’m used to reading. Once I got into the story I was hooked and couldn’t wait to find out how the story panned out. Set in the 2040’s this book is about being able to read, manipulate and erase people’s memories. It’s very futuristic and if this is the future we face in just over 20 years, I really don’t want to be part of it. Student Lucy Campbell has a crush on Grad student and wonderkid Marco Han. A chance meeting between them triggers the start of a budding relationship. A relationship that is fraught with danger and adventure. Lucy is being sought out by strange character Nick who we know very little about. She’s sure he wants to erase her memories. Lucy and Marco along with members of both their families take the reader on a great adventure that will have you on the edge of your seat at times. Once hooked, I did not want to put this book down, even taking it to work to read on my lunchbreak. If you’ve never given science fiction a go, this would be a great place to start.

I enjoyed this book alot. It was my first book by this author and i would like to read more. This was an engaging story that had mystery, suspense, action and everything in between. It was a well written story and the author’s attention to detail kept me interested until the very end. Louvette is our main character and she has been having strange things happen to her her whole life and that has kept her family on the move. When a lawyer comes to her door sh realizes things are fixing to change but you’ll have to wait and go read this to find out if they’re for the better or if she should have never answered that door. This was such a sweet read with good lessons to be learned. This book was a fun fairytale with drama, magic, wonderful characters, and I especially love Kara’s character. This is not the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last, because she writes such great stories that are easy to read. Kara has some things to overcome in this story, this is a must read to find out how she overcomes some of the things she has to face. This is a very heart warming book and I recommend reading it.

I was unprepared for this riveting journey. This felt too real to be disregarded as complete fiction. I felt that Mitchell embraced the technology we currently deem possible and projected us into a reality that feels just around the corner. Thought provoking and stirring, this book will keep you guessing and will make you think. Loved it.
Deleted by Ruth Mitchell is a fantastic romance/mystery novel set in the not to distant future. In a world where technology is everywhere Lucy refuses to conform to the societal norm and refuses to let technology rule her life. Everyone is Lucy’s knows relies on the technology known as “Spexs” which record your whole life, sounds perfect until Lucy discovers that this technology can be used for more nefarious purposes. After Lucy and her boyfriend stumble across someone they shouldn’t while investigating memories, Lucy wakes to find her whole life is gone, and she is being hunted by a formidable foe. I would recommend this book to lovers of this genre. As someone who is addicted to technology, it definitely made me think of the future.

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell a four-star read you won’t want to delete from your collection. This was a thrilling ride of a read, the take is fascinating and will keep you hooked as there is so much going on it could be too overpowering but the author has a great way of keeping it all together and making it all make sense. This was a great story that will make you care and make you worry about technology and its part in or lives. What I enjoyed most though was the fact that I thought I knew where the story was going then boom, plot twist and the rug was pulled, it just makes a rich and complex story. I am only bumping it to four-stars as there were a couple of messy quips, but I am sure they will only get better the more this author writes.

Adopted by the king and queen of Starrycrest, Kara has lived a pretty charmed life with loving parents and a key role in the kingdom’s production of “Nutcracker.” All threatens to fall apart when Kara has to face her comes face to face with doubt and a partner who doesn’t even like her plus the opposition from the royal family to help orphaned kids find their forever families. Taking matters into her own hands, Kara is put to the ultimate test by Trovella, the evil troll who attempts to avenge the death of her cousin. To overcome so much, Kara must embrace everything she is to overcome it all. This book is beautiful and so sweet because as always these characters overcome so much. Another great read by Allison M. Boot!

Love the Way You Dance by Allison M. Boot. This story was sweet and I enjoyed every minute of it. This isn’t just a good book with a sweet story it’s also a bit inspirational. Kara is a wonderful character that any aged person would like. Each character is Easy to connect with and they definitely draw you completely into their world and I couldn’t stop until the very last page. It’s a well written and is a bit of a faster pace with lots going on. But the author does a wonderful job of writing it all without overwhelming the readers. It’s characters and wonderful and you won’t be forgetting them anytime soon after you finish. Four stars and highly recommended.
