Rage Against The Devil (Wild Beasts Series Book 3) by T. Birmingham
This is way more than a 5 star read!!
Eire Donovan, an Others enforcer, has been assigned to to investigate a string of Others murders. She’s tough, showing no emotion and has been more than once called a cold hearted b**** and she has no problem with that, she’s actually quite happy with that. Her childhood was awful and although close to them once, she doesn’t even keep in touch with her brothers. Her investigation takes her to the town of Montville, New York, the location of the latest murder, where she finds she will have to work with a group of what she considers misfits.
Nicholas Arviso, a lone wolf, that is completely happy living alone and away from everyone. Trying with all he has to escape his past sins. He comes across a murder that has occurred in his own back yard. As he gathers his forces to begin an investigation an unknown shows up claiming to be an enforcer for the Others.
Another war rages on in Montville, and all the participants whether Other or Clan, light or dark will all be required in order to solve it and get the answers they need to solve the case. This story revolves a lot around Eire and Nicholas, and what it takes to be able to accept who they are as they are forced to learn more about themselves and each other, and in the process try to deal with feelings for each other that could possibly destroy them in the end.
This series is so hard to review, there is so much involved in this story that it would normally be hard to follow, but this author describes everything in a way that you have no problems connecting all the dots and just like book one, I’ve never read any books where the epilogues are as jaw dropping as these. I would highly recommend reading these books in order to be able to understand everything going on and getting to know all the characters because each one is important. That’s something else that I love about this series…each person in these books are front and center at one point or another all the way through. I’m not a reader of Paranormal normally, but from here on it doesn’t matter what this author writes I will be one of the first in line to one click!! I can not wait for the next book, and the best part is I will get to read the first ones again when the next comes out so that I don’t forget any one of the amazing details.
