Fur Verona by Gwyn Mcnamee a five-star read that will make you roar. This is such a great read by an amazing author. My fair Verona, what a beautiful place you are, but alas its not fair Verona in Italy we visit in this fur story but Verona Forest in the Florida Everglades. Rome Montreux you furry devil you, those smouldering eyes give way to a deep heart. Jules Capshaw is a strong and independent woman, she leads her pack with honour and grace, but something is missing. But that missing thing is something that something she can’t have, or can she? A tale of love and mystery with a passion that will ruffle fur and feathers alike. Once again Gwyn Mcnamee has produced a killer story.

Loved Loved Loved it!! Flirt is Book 2 in the What Happens on Campus series by ML Sparrow and I found it to be fantastic! I was drawn to Riley and her insane drama as she tries to reason with her lost career, her new found drug addiction, her role at college, and her new and extremely unlikely relationship with Cameron. She not only puts herself in dangerous situations time and time again, but she brings all the others around her crashing down too. Although I couldn’t relate to Riley, I am more than sympathetic to Cameron and how devoted he is to keeping her safe as well as on the straight and narrow, while also finding a way to maintain the same level of love and respect for her, at the same time as watching her destroy herself. I’m crazy excited to read what comes next in this series! 5 stars!

Snow Jewel is the second fascinating addition to the Jewel Chronicles by Natalina Reis. There is so much happening in this brilliant fantasy- from action, adventure, drama, danger, interracial romance, prejudices, intolerances, superstitions, intrigue, suspense, Gods/Goddesses, and intriguing twists and turns.
This is the second book in the series and does follow on from the story in book one, so it would be advisable to read the first book before embarking on this journey. The foundations of the storyline, character information and world development/building all begin in Desert Jewel- so having all that information will enhance your reading experience of this story, and allow you a more immersive encounter with the characters and their interesting world.
I really enjoyed Desert Jewel, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found that the second book had been released. I wasn’t sure where Ms. Reis was going to take us with this story, but I was excited to find out and I have to say that I enjoyed it just as much as the first one.
Ms. Reis writes beautifully, and her talent is very apparent throughout the book. The characters are charming and endearing, and the world in which the book is set is vibrant, with exquisitely detailed imagery- I think the characters and wonderful world building are what really sets this story apart from others.
I was captivated by what I was reading, following along to discover how everything would play out. The concept is quite unique, interesting and has been executed beautifully. The author did a great job of infusing quite a lot of emotion, tension and romance into the story.
I can’t wait to see where the story goes in the next book- the third and final instalment of this wonderful series!

Evanthia’s Gift (The Gift Saga Book 1) by Effie Kammenou is a beautifully written old fashioned love story and is hard to put down. This book is an emotional roller coaster ride. One minute you are laughing and loving, the next will see you crying and yelling at the characters and wanting to knock some sense into them. There were alot of tears, sometimes in joy, sometimes in frustration and sometimes in heartache. I learnt so much about the Greek way of life and families and history of the war they endured. Waiting for Aegina by Effie Kammenou is the second book to this saga and is a well crafted story and the world in which Effie has created is something you can imagine. This story pulls on a lot of emotions and is a lot more power packed and dramatic than Evanthia’s Gift and is an honest and heartfelt portrayal of a young Greek girl who is now a woman and her friends and is told by the main character’s point of view. Chasing Petalouthes (Chasing Butterflies) is the third and final book and a great way to end the series. Tragedy and heartache, flaws warts and all as well as happiness on this journey called life whilst trying to find how you fit in and your place in the world. Effie has a way to evoke emotions in her readers with her word craft and wonderful characters. has a really wonderful way with words, and a style that lends itself to stories that will evoke emotions in the reader. If you are looking for beautiful love stories that spans over many years, generation to generation, then this boxset is a must and so is the tissue box!

Prospera Pass (The Phoenix Series Book 3) by Kimberly Packard is the final book in the thrilling Phoenix trilogy. The story is fast paced and is told in multiple POV’s between the different characters. It’s hard to put the book down as the need to know what’s going to happen drives you forward thinking just one more page, just one more page. There is plenty of action and danger, murder and suspense that has you on the edge of your seat and wondering what comes next. Emotions run extremely high in this story. Feelings of guilt and hope, revenge and hatred, grief and self loathing, justice and need. The story is a well written and intriguing and completely engrossing that you find yourself fully immersed and invested and you definitely feel for the characters as you take this journey with them. This is one page turner that you don’t want to miss out on.

The Twins Trilogy: Complete box set by R G Miller is a psychological thriller and each one is one very gripping and has very graphic murder scenes in the storyline that at times left me with chills and on the edge of my seat and my heart pounding in my chest. I love getting into the minds of those who do the things these characters did, why they do these things. Nope this does not make me a serial killer! I just love psychological thrillers. RG kept me guessing by throwing in some great and unseen twists and turns and suspense is palpable. If you love a good psychological thriller then this is for you.
Plot Twist is the third book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by KL Montgomery and I loved it! I found this series from the start and just fell on love with the series and the author.
I read a lot and though there are some aspects of the characters I can relate to, but overall I don’t feel like any of them. But in the books I have read by Ms. Montgomery I can really connect and understand the feelings of the big girl who is hiding in the corner and totally uncomfortable in her skin and with who she is and it’s so nice to connect with a character like that.
I loved Lindy from the very beginning and had such a connection to her. Her relationship with her best friends Megan and Heather remind me of mine with a few of my friends.
Meric is the type of guy I hope my daughter meets. He sees Lindy for who she is and now what size she is.
I am so hopeful that this isn’t the end of the series because I’m not ready to say bye to this group.

So freaking cute! The Flip is the second book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery. You do not have to read the first book to read this one. This can be read as a standalone. Sonnet was a little overweight in school and super nerdy. Andrew was a jock and kind of a clown. They grew up together and basically, they were rivals. They didn’t get along at all! Now almost 10 years after high school ended, Andrew’s Aunt Penny has passed away and has left her beach house to both Sonnet and Andrew. So for the next couple of months they have to work together to get the house in order to be able to sell it. However, Sonnet has grown out of her chubby stage and is a bonafide Rocket Scientist. Andrew is still kind of a clown and has gained a few pounds. He works as a bartender and musician. Of course this story is a HEA! This story truly is sweet and I love the chemistry the two have together and I love all the secondary characters as well. There aren’t any sexy scenes in this book and I don’t believe it needs to have it. There is a lot of eluding but nothing elaborate. Again…totally not necessary. I loved the way that the author wrote this story. The words flowed really well and it was definitely easy to read. It was also a definite page turner. I would, without a doubt suggest this book to anyone looking for this type of story. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!!

Caught in a Lie by Linda Burson a four-star read that will catch you. This is the sixth book in the Marcy series and each book goes from strength to strength, each story follows on so you would need to have read the other books in the series to get the full story and enjoy the whole picture. This series just gives you enough to keep you hooked all the way through, each part of the story is revealed just when its needed to keep you on the edge of your seat. I will say this one is darker than the other stories, the twisted revenge plot will keep you hooked, but is believable as a plot line. Overall a very good book in a great series.

Sweet Hollow Women a four-star read that will challenge you. This wasn’t my favourite story by this author, it was well written and had a great plot, but missed some of the sparkle that I’ve seen in the other books I’ve read by this author. Flirt, by M.L. Sparrow, is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series. This is a contemporary new adult/college romance which features characters introduced within the first book of the series as supporting and/or minor characters. Flirt is Riley’s story – in Player, Riley was the life of the party, all out and no holding back female. I was excited that her story was next, there just had to be more than the girl testing her limits/extremes at the start of the series. In Flirt, we get a much deeper view into her and where this story takes her, bringing in Cam and what impact he may or may not have in her life. I liked the college setting the author chose for this series. It gives us something more along with the drama and romance that is the underlying theme of this story while tackling some tough topics. At parts through the story, my heart broke for the characters. M.L. Sparrow did a great job in this story/series and look forward to reading more.

Deal Takers is the second book in the Dealing With Love series by Laura Lee. OMG! I laughed so hard at points through this book that I had tears streaming down my face. This is one of the funniest and best RomComs that I have EVER read! (And I have read a lot). But, there is a lot more to the story than just some fun and giggles. There is passion, pain, emotion, chemistry, and tension- with a story that really coaxes you in, grabs you by the hair and then won’t let go! I wouldn’t have put it down anyway, I was way too immersed in the story and completely invested in the characters and the outcome of their story. The characters really are the jewels in this crown- they’re funny, witty, endearing, a little flawed, realistic, and so very interesting and entertaining. The story is told from a duel perspective, and Ms. Lee manages to capture a male perspective incredibly well. It was like having Brody in the room with me, seeing and hearing him in bold technicolour vision and surround sound. I expected Rainey’s perspective to be spot on, and it really was- but I think the way Brody is written, his big, confident personality really shines through and takes this story to a whole new level of awesomeness!
The chemistry between Rainey and Brody was electric- with the sexual tension dialed up to ‘HIGH’- sparks flew, zinging and sizzling and singeing the pages- so when these two finally get together there is an explosion of HOT intense passion that took my breath away and left me weak in the knees!
This book could be read as a standalone, but there is a crossover of characters and some storyline from the first book in this instalment which will intrigue you about what happened in book one- so do yourself a favour and read the first book before beginning this one- you are sure to love it just as much as I do!!
I can’t wait to read the third book, Drew and Charlee’s story- we get a sneak peek at the end of this book- and it looks set to be fantastic!

Deal Takers (Dealing With Love Book 2) by Laura Lee had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face and my belly aching. It is told in different POV’s and Laura’s take on Brody is exceptional and just brilliant, brilliant!! Well done!! He is a man child, panty dropping, bed hopper but you can’t help but love him. The banter between the two main characters is wonderful and funny and sexy and witty and choreographed beautifully like a regal dance. Laura writes a great romance story that has it all. You will not be able to resist the humor, the romance and of course the swoon worthy moments and you will definitely have a hard time putting this book down. In fact you will not be able to put it down until you have finished so snuggle in and get comfy and prepare to be dazzled.

It is a fast paced story that is full of surprise and intrigue and adventure that will keep you on your toes. There is a lot going on as we wade through a murder and it’s investigation whilst enjoying learning about Japan and its culture. The mysterious and secretive Black Lotus Society, mayhem and danger will see Kiko fighting to stay one step ahead and alive.
The Blue Heart Mission: A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller is the third book in the series by Lina Vine. This story is longer than its predecessors and as usual there is so much going on. This story is a hilarious, and sometimes emotional, love story that looks directly into both of the main characters minds. It was easy connecting with them and I couldn’t help but fall in love with both of them. The characters were well written and the plot was awesome. Brody is a 24-year-old playboy and he can have any woman he wants. He meets Rainey O’Neil on the night of one of the most embarrassing moments of his life, but you know what they say about first impressions, right? Well, he can guarantee that he made quite the impression that evening. Now she acts like she hates me probably because he behaves like an ass but we all know the truth: Rainey O’Neil wants Brody just as much as he wants her but, she just doesn’t want to admit it. Good thing Brody is up for the challenge…. Will Rainey give in to Brody or will she just friend zone him? Can Brody show Rainy he is the man for her? The Twins: The Complete Trilogy, by R.G. Miller, features: (1) The Twins, (2) Stacey, and (3) I. Williams. This is a psychological thriller that will have you trying to catch your breath, the suspense was amazing throughout each of the books.
The Twins – book 1: Prepare yourself for this twisted psychological thriller, The Twins – a debut novel by author R.G. Miller. This story encompasses the story of twin sisters, who at the age of thirteen witness unspeakable horrors leaving the girls wanting nothing but revenge. In turn of that fate these girls lived, they’ve turned into the type of monsters that destroyed their lives.
This book is completely outside of the types of books I would normally read, but I was interested after reading the synopsis to see what more this story held. R.G. Miller is very graphic is the horrid events that unfold at the hands of the twins. The author has included a full cast of characters in the start of this series to include the detectives working the cases created by the twins, as well as, additional supporting cast of individuals that are interlinked in ways we would not have anticipated when we begin the story.
For a debut novel, R.G. Miller did a good job of setting the stage, building the characters and adding depth to the story. As we come upon the end of the story, the author has clearly set the stage for the next set leaving us to wonder what could possibly come now after what we just experienced.
Stacey – book 2: Stacey: The Twin is the second book of psychological thriller The Twins, written by author R.G. Miller. This story picks up a few weeks after the end of the previous book.
“If you have to kill one, kill the other also.” That’s what psychologist Dr. Susan Patterson told Detective Isis Williams. Now, at the start of this story, we’re left with one twin, Stacey, after Isis was forced to shoot and kill Jannifer. Stacey is sent to a facility for the criminally insane. Enter a sadistic rapist/murderer in Harlem, targeting middle age women. Isis & Toni continue on their hunt to capture this latest murder whilst Stacey escapes. The words Dr. Patterson previously told Isis may now come back to haunt her.
R.G. Miller continues with her graphic and detailed story telling at the hands of the newest sadist. We lost several characters from the previous book, but as we’re aware, new ones have now been added to the game. This is a seriously intense read that challenges any horror house scare that could be imagined. The author has a wicked imagination that they are sharing with the reader as we delve deeper into Stacey mentality, as well as, following along with the work being done by Detectives Isis and Toni – to include the further development of their relationship. This author isn’t afraid to add twists into the storyline to keep you on the edge of your seat not knowing what to anticipate next.
I. Williams – book 3: I. Williams is the third and final psychological thriller book in the Twins Trilogy. This trilogy is comprised of the author’s debut novel The Twins. This series is elaborate, it’s descriptive and it’s insanely intense. The following phrase echos as the books are read: “If you have to kill one, kill the other also.” Those are the words that haunt Detective Williams to her everlasting regret. The author’s writing continues to grow with each book, continuing to share that dark and passionate writing that was first read in The Twins.
Per the author’s synopsis for this book it has been 3 months since Detective Williams has been back to work and she’s on extended medical leave – struggling with depression due to the case involving serial killer Stacey McHill. Babies are being taken during the day and replaced with realistic looking dolls and Isis’ great-niece is one of the victims making the case extremely personal. Stacey offers the baby’s life in exchange for the lives of Detective Williams and Detective Toni, Isis’ partner and lover.
This final book of the trilogy provided us with the final chapters for the twins and the horrors that evoked. Everything you think you should expect is not what you will be given in the end for this – the author will have you hooked and emotionally charged after finishing with dark & intense read. Heart stopping, breath taking sequences that chilled me to the bone. Honestly, this series is not what I would typically read, but I am seriously in awe after finishing these well written books.

The story line was really good we get to see espionage, love and loss and what the main character does to over-come his loss and what he has been up to since his loss. Luke Raven aka Raven is the world’s most elusive billionaire. He has a brain trust that cannot be controlled. And is a warrior and a patriot at heart. He is also the only man who can America from the deadly fallout in cyberwarfare with China. Luci a highly trained operative, returns from Kosovo to retrieve two hundred and fifty million dollars in diamonds safely stored in Uruguay. The Flip is the second book in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L Montgomery. It was such a fun read, one of my favourites that Ms. Montgomery has written. It is a light-hearted read, but with just the right amount of drama and tension to really keep things interesting. This is a superb contemporary romance, with a enemies to lover aspect to the storyline. This book can be read as a standalone, even though it is the second book in the series, as the series is made up of standalone stories- where each book centres on its own particular characters/couple, but the common factor is that they all are set against the backdrop of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Having said that though, I really do recommend reading all the books- because they are wonderful stories in their own rights, and help to paint a larger picture.
Sonnet and Andrew have an interesting history. They have known each other since childhood and had developed a bitter rivalry between them. Their dislike of one another ran deep. Since graduating high school, both moved on with their lives and haven’t had any contact for the past ten years.
Now, out of the blue, they have both inherited the same beachside cottage. The house needs some work to bring it back to life and Sonnet and Andrew are at a point in their lives where they could both use an influx of cash to help them chase their dreams- so renovating the cottage and getting it sold would help accomplish this.
But can these two put aside any animosity and find a way to work together to make that happen- or will all the old feelings come bubbling to the surface? What happens when these two have to spend so much time together on their shared project? And will they survive the flip?
As I have said many times now, Ms. Montgomery is a very gifted storyteller, who is easily able to pull readers into her story and keep them connected to the storyline and characters- completely hooked from beginning to end. I love how her story depicts characters that are realistic, believable, relatable and endearing.
As with all her other books, this is really well written, with a clever and fun story that helps to make it stand out from others in the same genre.

Ryan Ringbloom’s novella, Whiskey Dick, was an absolutely hilarious romantic comedy. From the first chapter, this story couldn’t be put down. The banter between Jax and Paisley was hilarious, add in some secondary characters and I practically fell out of my chair with laughter. The author did an excellent job capturing that and portraying it within the book. Regardless that this is a shorter story, it was light, fun and one heck of a read I wouldn’t pass up. I loved it!

XPOSED: Code Raven 1, by Lynda Filler, is an action-packed story. Despite the limited pages, the author does an excellent job of providing captivating moments with intrigue, suspense and steam. This book features a series of characters that are a part of the Raven Group and their camaraderie is well captured. I found this easy to read as the story pulls you through. It includes a well played mix of suspense within it. Overall, I really liked this book and would highly recommend to any crime, mystery, and/or suspense lover.
Deal Takers (Dealing With Love Book 2) By Laura Lee 5 Stars
Laura Lee is a new author to me but she fast became a FAVORITE author! Deal Takers is the 2nd book in the Dealing with Love series and I can say equivocally that is was OUT of BOUNDS!! Just reading the blurb on the back of the book had me intrigued and Ms. Lee certainly delivered!
Usually, this is where I give a little summary of the book but this time all I’m gonna say is Brody and Rainey are AWESOME!! Each character brings richness, uniqueness, and complexities to life that will have you turning the page dying for more. This book has laughter, a wonderful story and enough heat that by the end all you want to do is flip to the beginning and start again.
Laura Lee knocks it out of the park with engaging characters that has the reader snared from page 1. Ms. Lee has a wonderful writing style which makes reading this book very easy. The excellent ebb and flow of the book keep you moving along at a steady pace. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this second book and am excited to see the series continue and what else Ms. Lee will bring us next!!

Deal Takers by Laura Lee is a RomCom in her Dealing with Love series that leaves you crying with laughter and laughing while crying! I did not read the first book but I still managed to enjoy the heck out of the second one! Deal Takers is the story of Brody Harris who has no filter so you can imagine what comes from his mouth – it whether cracks you up or leaves you for reaching for a gun, and Rainey who is a nurse at the local hospital and has the (mis)fortune of meeting Brody when he comes to ER with an embarrassing problem … The first chapter will give you a very clear picture of what is waiting for you (and Brody and Rainey) and I am telling you, it is so entertaining that you will not be able to put the book down until you have gotten to the end! The banter, the chemistry, the waiting (yeah, heck yeah, it takes YEARS!!!) and the heartbreak … AND do not forget about the older woman – younger man scenario as well!! You get EVERYTHING when you pick up the story (well, not a dead body or a back stabbing ex-girlfriend or ….)

Prospera Pass is the third and final book in the Phoenix Series by Kimberly Packard. This series has been quite an exhilarating ride from beginning to end. The three books contain a continuing storyline, so it is necessary to read all the books in sequence, to fully appreciate the story and characters. This book/series is full of suspense, action, adventure, drama, danger, mystery, tension, twists, surprising developments, a Drug Lord, Cartels, revenge, murder, violence, romance, and sooo much more. I became addicted to the series back in book one, and through the three books Ms. Packard has kept me completely engrossed in what was happening- had me reading along trying to imagine where the storyline was going and what would happen next. I was kept guessing by the unpredictable tale, and was held in complete anticipation- right on the edge of my seat, the whole way through.
I admit that I had a lot of expectation for this book, I had so many questions that needed answers, and knowing this would be the finale I was anxious to find out what happens. I am happy to say that this book is every bit as good as the other two- Ms. Packard certainly delivered everything I was hoping for, and more. I zipped through the book in one sitting and loved it!!! I got to the end and didn’t want it to end, I wanted there to be more story- more about the next phase of the characters’ lives (see what I did there ? no spoilers from me, you will just have to read the book to find out who makes it through to the end). I hope that the blossoming romance between two of the secondary characters at the end of this book means that they may get their own story/book. Fingers crossed!!!
This is such a well thought out, intricately woven story full of inter-connected details that showcase just how brilliant a storyteller (and writer) Ms. Packard really is! The story is complex and multi-layered, which the author orchestrated masterfully. It had a great pace and a smooth flow. The story is told from several POV’s which added a lot of interest and gave the story more depth, drama, and intrigue.
I am sad that this series is now concluded, but my mind is whirling with the possibilities of what Ms. Packard will produce next. I really can’t wait to get my hands on her next book!

The Flip (Romance in Rehoboth Book 2) by K.L. Montgomery a sweet romance story that is an easy, light and enjoyable read. The characters are fun and engaging and will make you laugh out loud and make your heart flutter. The story is told from their different POV’s which gave it more of that pop factor. K.L. has that magic factor when writing her stories and this one had it in spades. Her word building of the characters and the world in which they live have you imagining each and every vibrant piece by piece to make the story a whole. K.L. is one author that should always be on your read list as her stories are easy and connective and just the right amount of bite size to keep you satisfied.
What a great story! Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L. Sparrow. You can read this book as a standalone but I would recommend that you read this in sequence. So this story follows Riley and her journey with loss of a career, addiction and finding who she is. This story also follows Cameron. The boy that has been in love with Riley since he could remember. While Riley goes through her tough times she comes to find love with Cameron. Cameron really helps her with her growth and shows her what true love means. Riley was headed on her way to the Olympics as a gymnast when she hurt herself and wasn’t able to continue her career. So she decided to go to college with her twin sister. Those two couldn’t be any different! But college wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. Riley met a guy who introduced her to all kinds of addictions. This story was definitely a roller coaster but thankfully one that has a HEA. There weren’t too many sexy scenes. This story didn’t need a whole lot of them. But the ones that were there were pretty steamy. Addiction is difficult for anyone, even a rich girl that had huge aspirations. But its how you deal with it that counts and that’s what this book is all about. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I would recommend this series to anyone!

This is my first book/series by R.G. Miller and let me tell you this: The Twins Trilogy is NOT and I repeat is NOT a romance story. Oh there’s love in this story, the love of an officer for her job, the love of death and destruction. But as for romance there is zilch. I say this only because if you are looking at my other reviews you will see I read romance, dark, sweet, historical, erotic, romance.
This trilogy is an amazing, action packed, on your toes, hide under the covers, psychotic murder mystery.
The first book introduces us to the twins, Stacey and Jannifer McHill. They are innocent 13 year old girls on the verge of a horrific discovery. The second book continues where the first left off with more twists and turns. The third and final story gives us the conclusion that we need. Every feeling is included in this trilogy. Tears, fears and hopefulness fill these stories. All three of these stories are fast paced, full of details and well worth the read! The characters are amazing and interesting. I can not wait to read more from this author.
