While this is book 2, it can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading book 1. What an amazing story. I didn’t think this one could top the previous but boy was I proven wrong. This is a second chance romance story and those are some of my favorites. I was turning pages just to see what happened next in this gripping read. Cant wait for more in this series!

I am truly amazed by this author. Everything I read by her keeps getting better and better. Shadow’s Keep by Meghan O’Flynn follows Deputy Sheriff William Shannahan. When he finds the body of a child in the woods while he was running William is determined to find the actual killer, especially when the Medical Examiner advises that the child was killed by a dog. However, this animal would have had to have very large paws and be able to remove the child’s eyes. This story also follows William’s girlfriend Cassie. Cassie has a son about the same age as the victim. Cassie has some underlying issues that have been pushed far back in her mind and when this murder happens, those issues come out. The only thing for William to do is to protect her and her son while the investigation takes place because there is a lot that is discovered and comes out. Both of these characters have their own personalities that make this story even more interesting. I love the way that this author writes. She is so completely descriptive that it is entirely captivating. She sucks you in and the only way out is to finish this book. Yes, it’s a page turner that has lots of twists and turns that you can imagine. I cannot wait to read the next book from this author. She has become one of my favorite writers and will definitely recommend this book and any others by her.
This is the second book in Fallen Eagles MC series. Our main characters are Eagle and Winter. As a couple, they were great with the chemistry. They fit well together. Winter is often found in her own thoughts and takes on so much. I really loved her. Eagle is a protector. I really enjoyed reading their story. This was my favorite story so far in this series!

Written in the Stars is the second book in the Fallen Eagle MC Series by T. Birmingham. This series should be read in order because it follows the first book and the characters are recurring. Plus why would you want to miss out on the fabulous first book in the series, A Terrible Beauty. This romantic suspense had me hooked on the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I finished the last. It is fast paced and an emotional roller coaster. It had me laughing out loud and also reaching for a tissue a time or two. A book that can move me so much and leave me with a book hangover for days after is definitely Five Stars. I love Eagle and Winter’s story and how their characters grew throughout the book. This is such a great series an$ I look forward to reading more by T. Birmingham. I have to say this is my new favorite book of 2019.

Bad Things Happen was such a gripping read and one that I really found difficult to put down, this is also the first book that I have read by this author. I was really taken with her writing style, she kept the book exciting and gripping the whole way through and she definitely threw in some great twists and turns too. The characters were complex and had a great depth to them. The storyline was well thought out and had a great pace to it. I loved the way the author chose to write the story and it was not confusing at all, it made the story interesting and unique to read. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series – I hope it is as exciting, gripping and dark as this one was!!!

Bad Things Happen sounded like a new movie hitting theaters. Charlotte is looking for the story that will make or break her career. That story just happens to figure some dangerous players. This story was so thrilling. I couldn’t get enough of how well the author wrote this story. Joey is on the run but time seems to be catching up to him. So many secrets and lies. Written in the Stars is the 2nd book in the Fallen Eagles MC Series by T. Birmingham. It continues after A Terrible Beauty, and should not be read as a stand alone. This story focuses on Winter and Eagle (or Davis) and their growing relationship. I like that it has overlapping characters and history from the first book, but enough of its own content to make it equally enjoyable. The characters are wonderful and their relationships are strong. At first I thought it was weird that Winter and her sisters are named after seasons, but after this book, it makes sense. Their personalities align with their names too which I thought was cool. This book is a perfect balance of romance and suspense and kept me engaged start to finish. There is the mystery of the murders, but also the developing relationship. The more I got to know the characters, the more I loved them. I would like to read more about the Markham sisters, if the series continues. I love the real life situations, as well as the emotions involved. The hurt, love, self doubt, courage, fear, strength that the characters experience and often struggle with. Very real life down to earth story. Highly recommend it.

This is one of those books that starts out strong and incredibly visual. BAD THINGS HAPPEN opens with a breathless car chase and the story continues to be full of twists and turns and quick manuevers.
Told in alternating POVs, the story goes from present to past and back again. It took a bit to get used to reading and I had to read the chapter headings to not only see the WHO but also the WHEN. It is a very detailed story and while I “skimmed” at times, the story kept me engaged from beginning to end. The characters are plentiful and I still have questions which I hope are answered in future stories.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I look forward to reading more.

Tapped is the 3rd book in the Night Moves series by Tarrah Anders. It follows on from ‘Stripped’ and ‘The Night Manager’. I had previously read, and enjoyed, The Night Manager without realising that it was part of a series. So now that I’ve read, and enjoyed, Tapped, I’ve now bought the first book Stripped. Each book is a full complete story and can be read as a stand-alone, however characters from the previous books return and you get an update on them. Having read, and loved, 2 of the book in this series, I’d definitely recommend it to others. In Tapped we have the story of Janae and Kai who were high school sweethearts, only for Janae to end their relationship out of the blue. 10 years on and Janae is the bar manager at The Essentials club. Janae has not moved on and no guy can live up to Kai, so imagine her shock when Kai turns up as the new erotic dancer at the club. It just so happens that Kai has never got over Janae and no woman has ever lived up to her. This is a sweet heart-warming second chance love story. I totally loved both characters. This book has so much to offer the reader. It has angst, humour, and Kai has some seriously sexy moves (both as a dancer at the club and in the bedroom). Boy does he give a damn good lap dance!! Be prepared to have your heart racing at several points in this book.

Building Storm is the conclusion of Gwyn McNamee’s Hawke Family Series AND as the writer states herself, it should NOT be read as a standalone and the series should absolutely be read in order to get the full understanding of the plots and characters and to enjoy it the fullest! I have read the series in the order and I can confirm that every story builds upon the previous one so do yourself a favour and listen to us! Building Storm gives us Storm Hawke and Landon McCabe’s story. It is a story of profound loss and finding light in the dark when you have settled in for it to last for eternity. Their story makes you cry and rage and curse and … and it also gives us hope and once you have hope, you are able to carry on … I loved how the writer is giving us in each of the stories in the series that sibling’s story in its own rights … it would be so easy for one story to bleed into the other and … The writer has given us a beautiful conclusion of the series and I am a bit sad to leave the Hawke family behind but I have no doubt that they might pop in suddenly in writer’s other stories as I do not believe that she will be able to leave them completely behind!

An Italian Adventure by Gaia B Amman an adventure of a four-star read. This was an enjoyable read and it will entertain you no end, the stories and excitement of the childish fun will keep you captivated. This was so much funnier than I expected, and I really didn’t know what to expect but I enjoyed it so much. It really is worth taking the chance on this novel, I can’t wait to find out more in this saga.

Tapped is the last book in The Night Moves series by Tarrah Anders, but I’m begging please write more. Janae and Kai’s story is a sweet second chance romance. They haven’t seen each other in 10 years and now they find themselves working at the same club. Can Janae and Kai just be friends or will they give love a second chance?
Besides having everything we love about second chance romances, we also get some of Tarrah’s “You Dirty Girl!” writing, while is so yummy. I loved how Tarrah had to add her favorite item of men’s clothing somewhere in this book, LOL!

A Christmas Wish by Engy Neville a four-star read that you will want to wish upon. What a complex and inspiring story, Amy the main character won’t be to everyone’s taste she is self-centred but as you read and see her story, I felt more and more for her, I started thinking maybe she has the right to be self-centred and withdrawn but don’t we all at times. The author could have done with a bit more balance but overall, I enjoyed it, the descriptions were well done, and they made me smile so hard at some of them.

It’s been a while since I have been taken back into the world of the Hawke Family, and Gwyn McNamee has written this so smoothly and brilliantly it’s like I’ve never been away! This is my fifth book by this author and she has continued to show how incredible her writing style is, her amazing real, relatable characters are and how well her plots are written. I was completely utterly captivated and entranced with this read, each have such powerful and gripping story lines, I feel that getting to know Storm and watch her story develop just made this one so much stronger and more compelling and a brilliant addition to the Hawke Family Series.
The emotions that are throughout this book are raw and powerful, and I can’t help but feel the raw emotion of our characters. Throughout this read which makes it thAt much more of s powerful read. With like all the other books in this series, giving too much away in this review will spoil this read for anyone. Even though Storm’s story can be read as a stand-alone, for the best experience and for a small backstory of her and the Hawke Family do not miss reading this series in order and throughly enjoying every single one! With this being the final conclusion to the series, it opens up ready for some spin offs., which I’m sure will be just as brilliant as the rest. I can’t wait to see what Gwyn McNamee comes up with next, and what other incredible journey she can take us on, until then you will most definitely not be disappointed with this read!

Bad Things Happen by Rowena Holloway is the first book in the Ashes to Ashes series. Charlotte Ashe is a tv weather girl who is looking for her big break into serious stories. When footballer, Joey Baptiste, gives her the story of a lifetime it is signing his own death warrant. Can Charlotte figure out this story or will Joey’s death be in vain? This is an intriguing book with good characters and story. It felt a bit disjointed at times because it jumps time periods but I get why the author was doing this in the end. Overall I enjoyed this read and look forward to more in the series. Charlotte is interesting and there seems to be much more to her story that wasn’t revealed in this book.

T. Birmingham did it again. I love Written in the Stars. That does not mean I do not love A Terrible Beauty because I do. I just love Winter and Eagle characters. Again this is a sensitive subject matter and there is still the warning for older teens and adults only. This story has suspense, military romance, and even some thriller mixed in. This installment is about Winter and Eagle. Eagle is the president of the Fallen Eagles and Winter runs the Salon in town. There is a mystery that has come knocking on the door of the town. Will everyone come together to protect each other or will there be a fall out and no one is safe? I hope you enjoy this story and remember to keep tissues close by.

T. Birmingham took sensitive subject matters and created a wonderful book series, Fallen Eagles MC Series. Book 1 is A Terrible Beauty which is a novella and a great opening to say the least. The way Birmingham brought the characters to life on the page is outstanding. I felt like I was there watching everything transpire. I will have to say that there are some adult subject matters and I would recommend this story to be for older teens (16 & 17) and adults. This story is a suspense and military romance genre. Birmingham sent me on a roller coaster ride with my emotions and found it difficult at some points within the story. When I found that happening I had to reassure myself it was a fiction book. This story is about Kit and Lee and everything around them. I hope you enjoy this story as well as I have and remember keep tissues by you while reading.

The Shape of Trust (Stand by Me #5) By Brinda Berry Rated 5 stars
This is another super book in the Stand By Me Series. I have read quite a few of this series. This is a interesting one that deals with some tough decisions for both characters. It was all blended well together. I liked each of the main characters and the story was good. The connection between Webb and Lily was very believable. I enjoyed their time together as much as they did. Learning, talking and laughing. That kissing!?!? Meltdown!
Webb has struggles in his life but his most recent is staying away from Lily who he considers “too young” for him. When he hires her for a job the struggle is harder because being around her all the time makes him only think of one thing. When they talk about the physical ”age” difference vs the mental one it’s mentioned by Lily that:
“ It’s not the days that make up a life, you know. It’s the experiences.”
I thought that was so profound. Great line!
I struggled with his daughter sometimes because a 5yo would not be okay with her grandma leaving her with someone she doesn’t know. ….and not crying for her mom all the time. That just seemed weird. She acts like she is perfectly fine living with a man she has never seen. Plus the words she uses and actions make her seem older than her age. I just wish this would Have been addressed at least for a little bit. Then have her adjust to her new life. She is a cute addition to the story so I can fault for that addition.
Again this is not my first book by this author. It is probably my second favorite of the series. I like that the author doesn’t shy away from real problems and uses them to show how people can move forward in life.

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes By Blake Blessing. From page one I knew I was in for an emotional journey with the two amazing main characters. Each one having such a different story to tell but coming together in this amazing story. The author does a wonderful job of writing characters you can’t help but root for and connect with. There’s definitely some highs and lows for Emil and Perrin but it’s a wonderful story to watch unfold between them and their past haunts. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The characters are complex and believable. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read more from this author. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone.
Just when you think this author cannot write another 5 star read along she comes with Tapped and in my opinion blows all of her other stories out of the water (and I loved all of those too!!) – If I could give this more than 5 stars I would because honestly it deserves it. Ms Anders had me hanging on her every word with this book and I didn’t want it to end. Janae and Kai = perfection! I loved them together and I wanted nothing more than for them to find their happily ever after together. There was everything that I love reading about in this book, humour, sensual moments, hot and steamy times. The chemistry between them was completely believable at all times and it continued throughout the book. I loved that characters from previous books were back and also the introduction of a new, intriguing character too. I thought that Tapped was a fantastic read and I absolutely loved it! I will eagerly be waiting for whatever is next from this extremely talented author!

Wow what a novel it pulled me in right from the start keeping my full attention right til the very end. It was a quick read but packed one hell of a punch and left you wanting more! Tapped is book three in The Night Moves series by Tarrah Anders. This author never ceases to impress, amaze and inspire me. I cannot get enough and absorb each word like vital air.
Janae and Kai had a history, so meeting again was a shock for Janae. She still feels the same after all those years apart, but she tries to deny those feelings. Kai is having none of it and is prepared for the long and arduous task of winning her back. Their chemistry is inspiring. The way they integrate in every situation and environment is incredible. The trust and love they have for one another warms the heart and increases breathlessness.
Tapped was a romance about a love rediscovered, a love that survived time and distance, a love that just gets stronger every day. Tarrah Anders writes a tantalising story that will never leave your memory and make you crazy for more. 5 stars.

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes was a wonderful read. This is the second book that I have read by this author and I really love her writing style. I fell in love with the characters Perrin and Emil. I loved Perrin’s fun and caring attitude, she was a really nice person albeit a little guarded when it came to her emotions. Emil, I just loved him – there were times where I could have cried for him and thought the author portrayed his character so well, I could really feel the way he felt after serving and then returning to civilian life. The author really brought these characters to life and made me fall in love in love with them and in turn I was rooting for them to find their happiness all the way through. The writing of this story is completely flawless and it was an absolute pleasure to read. I 100% recommend this story and I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.
5 Star The Way You Are ( Carolina Connections Book5) by Sylvie Stewart is the fifth book in the the Carolina Connections series.i recommend reading the other books in this series as well ,although this can be read as a standalone. This is a hilarious romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. The story flows and her characters are very well developed. I think this is my favorite from this series.Brett and Liv oh my! These two especially liv had me chuckling at times.From the “friends” zone to crush. Can these two get out of the friend zone? Is there a future for these two? Find out what happens next I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read the next Book by this author.

A Suitable Affair is the first book in The Macalisters Series by Erica Taylor. This is a really great historical/regency romance- full of mystery, drama, revenge, humour, and so much more. Ms. Taylor is a mew-to-me author whose work I am happy to have discovered as she certainly knows how to tell a clever, captivating story. Lady Susanna Macalister is twenty-two years old, which in 1830’s London society is getting very close to becoming an old maid. Susanna feels she has a duty to her family to find a suitable husband and takes her responsibility quite seriously. But she feels time slipping away from her, and feels her options are running out. It’s not that she wasn’t beautiful, or independently wealthy- it was her overly protective brother/s, her status, and her confident, non-conformity that had the gentlemen shying away. All except Lord Riverton who had been courting her for the past few months. She expected he would propose any day now, and that should have pleased her, but she just wasn’t all that excited by the thought. She can’t stop thinking about him. And when their paths keep crossing, the spark between them gets more intense. What about Lord Riverton, who is currently courting her? But, we soon learn that there is more to this handsome stranger than he’s letting on- which adds an extra element of mystery and suspense to the story- and had me flipping pages, reading as fast as I could to find out what his secrets were, and how the story plays out! I really enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it to anyone who likes historical romance with a clever storyline. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Bring on book #2!

It is hard for me, yet again, to come up with the words to properly describe how wonderful of a novel Gwyn McNamee has penned with Building Storm. Truly and utterly stunning… I was left lost in my thoughts for a few days before I could come to this review. I have been anticipating this book for some time now as it is the fourth novel in McNamee’s Hawke Family Series. I highly suggest you read the other books in the series and in order before you read this book. This is not a standalone novel! I knew to expect a book that would give me some feels and some steamy sass that we just can’t find anywhere else but with Gwyn McNamee but wow, I had no idea this was coming. It was absolutely beyond expectations! As for plot details and info… you won’t find that here… you will have to scoop this up for yourself. Thank you so much for this wonderful series, and this wonderful book Ms. McNamee!

Excellent book from beginning to end. This regency romance kept me enthralled throughout. It was clever, with witty dialogue and lokeable characters. I kept guessing what might happen next and could never quite catch up to the author to correctly guess the next peg in the board. A pleasant read, lovers of regency era highjinks will enjoy this charming tale.

Shadow’s Keep is not the first book I’ve read by this author and most certainly will not be my last. My genre of choice is a good thriller and let me just say Meghan O’Flynn has writing a good thriller down to a science! The plot twists and turns were heart pounding and I can tell you with complete honesty I did not have this one figured out. There is so much I want to say about this book yet I am completely speechless. If you like dark, twisted, suspenseful stories then this book, this author is for you. 5 stars for sure! This is the fifth book in the “Carolina Connections” series and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone.
As with the other stories in this series, THE WAY YOU ARE is a classic rom-com. The story has a great group of friends, romance,new beginnings, and a dog that is almost bigger than the MC.
This is a quick story with a smart woman, a not “classically alpha guy”, a couple of ball players, and a character who (like me) is obsessed with Olivia Newton John.
I absolutely recommend this author, this books and this series.

The Way You Are is the fifth book in the Carolina Connections series and it is just as good as the first books. I was really looking forward to this book when i found out it was coming out and i wasn’t disappointed at all! I loved it. It was cute and funny and the main characters are very like-able and funny. Liv has all she needs in life… well mostly. She has a hot boyfriend who plays baseball and the bedroom time between the two is awesome. Buts is it love?
