I haven’t read a clean romance in FOREVER and I can honestly say I loved this one. It was like a breath of fresh air. It had all the feels, a little angst and some drama but definitely go me hooked to the series.

John is a single father after tragically losing his wife. His daughter went from being all smiles and talkative to not talking at all. It’s suggested she start speech therapy and John will do anything to help his little girl.

Natalie has her own past and demons she’s trying to escape. She was offered the job to be John’s exclusive speech therapist for his daughter. The more they got to know each other the closer they became until the past threatens to take over her life.

I absolutely loved this book and I’m so excited to read further into the series. Miss Koby writes beautiful stories that completely take a hold of you!

Indecisive people make me twitch. Lie make up your mind. These are life altering decisions here people. Not just where you want to eat. But who could possibly share your life with forever. Conner had me irritated through most of the book. Mary Ann was a little flighty to me. Ron moved too slow. I did like the message Connor tried to get everyone to see. He knew that family was important and that with a little help misunderstandings could be fixed. The author did a great job with bring the lives of the characters together. Shining a spot light on forgiveness.

This is the perfect companion book for the person who loves to get lost in nature. Finding joy and peace can be difficult in this day and age but one of my favorite activities is sitting on my porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and just listening. The serenity I can find for a few moments in the silence of the early morning is exactly the kind of thing this book is about. You don’t need to participate in any particular religion or lack thereof to appreciate what Maria DeBlassie has put together. While her particular flavor is Southwest USA, anyone from anywhere can gain perspective or at least find instances to appreciate the magic in everyday life.
The only thing I dislike about this book is Maria’s view of the myth of Persephone. I know it’s a weird thing to pick out and it’s only like one sentence in the entire book but it is literally the only thing I didn’t enjoy.

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition by Michelle N. Onuorah is an honest story about hardship. She tells about her life and the hardships she has struggled with in her young life. The story is relate able and well written. I liked her honesty and her trust in her faith. When struggling people often get stuck in their situation they give up on their faith. She speaks about her transition and how she had to change her life and the way she thinks about the path she has chosen. This is a quick read but enjoyable. This was different than the typical book I read but I’m glad that I picked it up.

Lost in Love is the second book in the Miss Apple Pants series by Charlotte Roth. This is a really great story- with quirky characters, adventure, romance, charm, emotion, humour, friendship, family, drama, a sprinkle of mystery, and more.
We met Ella in the first book, but she’s grown up a lot since then. A lot has happened to get her to this point. She’s still trying to ‘find herself’ and there are few big decisions to be made as we follow her through this story. I really love Ella- she’s strong, kind, beautiful, and a little off-beat. I really enjoyed reading this book and loved the contrast from the first book.
This is a heart-warming and very enjoyable read, highly recommended!

Libby is a busy body and it’s annoying. But she gets things done and wrongs righted. She makes the perfect journalist because she is so noisy. James is too uptight for me. I didn’t understand why he put up with his ex mess. The story was entertaining once you got into it. The beginning was a little yawn worth but it got more action and intriguing in the middle. I liked the other books and this one was just as good.

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition by Michelle N Onuorah is a book that will provide a lot of inspiration to the ones who feel they are in transition in their belief … it is a true and heart felt story that takes you through a period of one’s life, from the deepest dark to the light. It is a story of faith and the power of prayer and belief. The writer was very upfront and didn’t wrap it up in glitter and glam … a struggle is a struggle … an addiction is an addiction … and it comes down to how you found your way through it all … what you believe and whether you are open to hear the answers around you. I am not a Christian and I picked the book up to see if I could ‘translate’ her story into a journey into spirituality and for sure, there are similarities though I still think that this book is really for Christians. I am sure it will help people with the next step in their lives and especially it might help some of the younger ones who have gotten lost in their lives.

Terror in Boring Town is a fantastic children’s chapter book, aimed at children 9 -12 years old. It is a mystery/adventure, with humour, danger, a little drama, and is lots of fun.
We meet Sam Snead and Rex Coak, who have just begun their summer vacation. Sam is dreading the long summer break, because there isn’t ever anything to do in their Boring home town. Nothing interesting every happened. Rex on the other hand, is the more upbeat and optimistic of the two. He sees adventure in the simplest of things- a boy with a vivid imagination and a curious nature, he loved making up stories which usually involved seeing spies and/or criminals on the run where ever he went.
When they see a strange truck parked at the post office one day, Rex is convinced something sinister is afoot- but Sam thinks Rex is just being Rex. But, soon, he is convinced as well, and the boys try to warn the adults. But with a reputation for wild stories, the adults are sceptical- and so the boys set out on their own ‘investigation’ to get to the bottom of it all. Is there really something sinister going on, or is this just another case of an overactive imagination? What do they uncover? This story is well worth the read to find out.
I read this story with my nephews aged 8 and 11. They loved the fact that it was an adventure with some mystery to it. The boys rarely stay still for anything, but when we were reading the book they were following along attentively, there was no fidgeting or restlessness at all- they were completely captivated, and I could tell that they were enjoying the book (just as much as I was). We read it a few chapters at a time and got through it easily over the weekend. The boys and I were sad when it finished because we didn’t want the experience to end- but we were happy at the way the author wrapped up the story. They can’t wait to read the next book, together.
The story that the author has produced is quite original. It is really written, with age appropriate language, humour, and drama. There’s funny banter, quips, and antics- and enough drama and suspense to keep you turning the pages to find out what happens. It definitely kept the boys guessing, too. We also thought it would make a great (family) movie. The characters were all wonderfully crafted- they were realistic and believable. We loved the names given to the characters, it gave an added element of interest and humour. For example, Daisy Whoopsy, Les Gross, and Postmaster Boring.
I highly recommend this for any adventure/mystery loving middle-school age child- or child at heart ?…. You won’t be disappointed!
The next book is called “The Christmas Bandit” (Book #2)- coming soon.

Burning Britely by Deidre Huesmann was more than I expected it to be. When you are reading young adult it’s usually pretty cookie cutter but this book was anything but and for that I was so thankful.

Jeff Young is too smart and I don’t know if it’s because of his intelligence but he doesn’t do well with interacting with people. He even has a hard time with his best friend and parents. That starts to change after he starts to develop a friendship and crush on the school track star Braeden.

Braeden is a great guy, very protective of his family especially his siblings. He is looking for friendship with Jeff but there ends up being so many levels of that friendship.

I have the next book in this series ready to go in my kindle. Can’t wait to get started to see what happens next.

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition was a good 4 star read.

This is a memoir from Michelle N. Onuorah and the inspirational journey she had, trying to understand things that were happening to her and how she was going to approach and deal with them.

It starts with her being told by her fairly new job that they were letting her go. She had to trust in her faith and prayer that everything would work out for her. This was also an enlightening read for me as well. This is my first read from this author and I really enjoyed reading about her spiritual journey and understanding of why things happen the way they do and having patience. This is a quick read, once you get started, get ready to be inspired.

Little Do You Know is the fifth book in the Bayou Devils MC Series by A.M. Myers. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend that you read the whole series. I have been waiting this book to come out and believe me it was worth the wait. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last. This is Noah and Kady’s story, and it is full of twists and turns. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters that popped back in from previous books. I highly recommend this book, series and author and I’m always on the lookout for more books from Ms. Myers.

Manda Mellett’s MC books have just gotten better! Blades’ Edge is book 10 in the Satan’s Devils MC Series. For these books being part of series they can most definitely be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but after reading this book I now want to go back and read the others in the series and explore more of this author’s incredible writing style and this world we have been thrust into and love the characters even more.

We are immediately taken on Tash & Blade’s action-filled journey, a journey is that filled with ups and downs, emotional heartbreaking moments, pasts that affect the characters life now, strong characters that realise they actually make each other better and stronger. The emotions that are in this book raw and real one minute you are smiling, the next your angry then your sad but this just makes the book even better!
This was one of these books where you are wishing they these characters can overcome their past and finally get a HEA.
I’m sad to see that this is the end of Tash & Blade’s story but its a story I’m glad i got the chance to read. You will not be disappointed with this book, you will not be able to put it down and it will leave you wanting more!

Immortal Desires by Various Authors was a super fun read that is stuff to the brim with a little bit of everything. Funny, hot, steamy, action and mythology, you can’t go wrong with this hot anthology.

Wow, with so many quick reads, and talented authors, it wasn’t that hard to get hooked, and fast. I had so much fun picking and choosing what story to read next. Now some are longer than others, but they don’t follow any particular order, so you can just go on and choose what story you want to read and when.

There are a few stories that caught my eye, Artemis’s Hunt by Lia Davies, His Dream Mate by Madison Sevier, and Flirty Dancing by Jennifer Theriot. All were by on the shorter side, but all packed quite a punch. I’m not going to get into too much detail, because I don’t want to spoil anything. But both Artemis’s Hunt and His Dream Mate were on the hotter, steamier side. Well, Artemis’s Hunt was a little more tame, as it followed a bit of a journey, and reconnecting type plot line. His Dream Mate was, well… hot.. Flirty Dancing, was fun, light heart and quirky. It plays on the, what happens after death, and really hits home. It’s more on they playful side of the steaminess, and gave a nice nod to Dirty Dancing at the end.

Overall this anthology was worth it, and it gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. And as I said, with all those wonderful stories, you’re bound to find something that tickles your fancy.

Coming Home: The Sequel to Flowers in December by Jane Suen has us catching up with Connor. He moves back to his hometown after he quits his job after the death of his mother. There so much that happens just after he gets back into town, including reconnecting with a neighbor after a significant amount of time.

Connor still doesn’t seem to have all of his timing in life back but he’s slowly getting there. But as anyone who has lost someone special the first of everything is the hardest and this is Connor’s first Christmas without his Mama.

I’m hoping to see more of Connor and to see if his timing with a young lady improves to the point of being in tune.

I have enjoyed the series so far even if there are some down parts.

AGE OF SAINTS is book 7 in the Druid’s Brooch Series. If this is the first one you are going to read, it’s totally ok because they all read as a stand-alone with the common thread being the magic brooch. AGE OF SAINTS is in the timeline BEFORE the previous book so it’s cool to see how the piece of jewelry has gotten its start (or closer to its start).

The pages turn themselves in this complex and epic tale that at times reads like a travelogue for 500 AD “Ireland”. The writing is so visually appealing that I am able to imagine it while I read along. The story is full of twists and turns and majik and FAE. It is multi-layered and allows us to take the journey of the brooch with the characters as they are written.

This author has a way of writing that keeps things interesting and is detailed enough that the story is not bogged down with unnecessary word filler. From cover to cover each scene appears to be well plotted and the direction pre-determined. While this is a continuing (what do you call a series that goes backwards? is continuing the right word?) series, each is very satisfying between its own two covers.

Dancing Queen by Charlotte Roth is a heartwarming example of a story that takes body image issues and flips hem on their head.
This boo has everything. Not only does it tackle an issues that is so prevalent in today’s society but it does so with wit and humour. So many times I found myself chuckling at what was going on with the characters and the story.
But at the same time it gracefully handles an issue that most people, not just females, go through. It highlights body weight concerns and the author shows exactly why they should not hold you back.
This was, for me, a surprisingly refreshing read and one I enjoyed more than I expected.

Blades Edge by Manda Mellett is the 10th book in the Satan’s Devil’s MC series. Each of these books can be read as a stand-alone although I personally think you would be missing out on a great series if you didn’t read them all.
This book was such a good book. I loved how much depth the characters had to them, how much more there was to know about them than other books had indicated. I was intrigued to see how you could turn Blade’s character into something that resembled a “good” character. The author sure delivered.
As usual this book was fast paced and full of action and it is one I have very much enjoyed.

I have absolutely adored this series and I was so excited to read another instalment in the series. Again it didn’t disappoint – Libby is one of my favourite characters to read about, she makes me laugh so much with what she does but I just know that if she were real I would totally want to be friends with her. The authors writing is excellent, I just find myself captivated by her storytelling as soon as I pick up one of books. The characters she has created are genuine and likeable and I have loved reading about them. There were some great twists in this book too that I wasn’t expecting! I am also a little bit in love with James too!!
I am so looking forward to reading more from Bea Stevens again in the future and if you are looking for a rom com with a little suspense thrown in then I 100% recommend this book and the series!

Seraphina’s Vengeance (Seraphina #3) by Sheena Hutchinson was dark, twisty, and one hell of a read.

The third book in the Seraphina series, and I must say, I’m glad and ecstatic that I stuck with this series. Because this book is everything I was hoping the first would be and more.

It was unpredictable, dark, steadily moving and hooking as hell. This book truly shows the growth and character development that is Seraphina. We see not only a different side of her, but we see something that I believe she was lacking in the other two books. Relatability. That opening, wow, talk about the calm before the storm. I’m not going to get into the plot, but the title is a good giveaway. But I will tell you that this book is different then the others, and you will not be able to put it down. This book will change your whole opinion of this series, and I can’t wait to dive into the next, and I believe final book.

Overall this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Following in the end of the previous novel, Brendan is having a hard time after being expelled from school. With his home life, his Mom lying and his father demanding he get a job, his time with his boyfriend Jeff is limited.

But as their time together becomes closer, the question remains: what do guys do together?

I was so excited to start this because I really enjoyed the first book. This is story of understanding feelings, relationships and a destructive home life.

I highly recommend this novel.

This story picks up a few months after Flowers in December end, and takes us further into Conners journey after his mom’s passing. He is trying to honor his mom’s memory by going back home. There is hope, forgiveness, new and old friends. This is a sweet story and I loved it even more than the first one. The author does a great job pulling you into the story and making you feel all the emotions the characters are experiencing right along with them. Even though this is a short quick read it’s definitely full of emotion and an all around wonderful book. I highly recommend this book.

I love the way the author has woven the words in this book, definitely a lot of magic in there! A few of my favorite essays from the book are: On Synchronicity, On Dreaming Deeply, Descending into the Underworld, and A Conversation with Coyote. This would make a great daily devotional type of book. My first reading of this book was on the Kindle, but I am definitely going to get a hard copy!!!!!

Ok so I totally loved this book. It hit some emotions I had buried long ago and I was totally able to relate to Fiona, which just made me enjoy the book that much more.

I loved the characters even the ones I loved to dislike immensely, I wanted to slap a couple along the way, especially that sister, and the Mom at some points. I loved how this story progressed and the strength that ensued by Fiona as the book went on, Lance became one of my favorites towards the end and totally made me smile and that other little twist at the end totally threw me and actually made me tear up.

I’ve read a few books by this author and I am in love with her writing style, I love knowing when I pick one of her books up that I never really know what I’m going to be reading, which always means a one click for me.

I highly recommend this story and I just know you will fall in love with Fiona and Stu just as I did.

Can’t wait for more from this author.

Burning Britely by Deidre Huesmann is a quirky and cleverly written coming out story. The leading man is Jeff. Jeff is smart, small and sarcastic. His intelligence wont allow him to suffer fools. He has zero patience and comes off as rude and unfriendly. He doesn’t trust easily and prefers his own company than that of others. He falls for Braeden and the road to their HEA is a rocky one.

Burning Britely was a story that I absorbed in one sitting. Jeff was an extremely complex character, but underneath it all, he was just like the next person. Acceptance was important, but his tough outer shell would never allow him to admit that. I loved everything that was Jeff and Braeden. The blossoming love story was beautiful, and at times heartbreaking. A little of everything thrown in to make for a riveting read. I cannot wait to read more. 5 stars.

Will Sam and Rex be able to stop them? Will lives be put at risk to expose the criminals? Read this book to find out. I believe this story to be one that kids will find joy in reading. Younger readers will find the characters of Sam and Rex to be relatable and their adventure exciting. The mystery and adventure will keep their interest. Sam and Rex’s characters are well-developed. Rex has a large imagination and Sam is his best friend that is always there with him. There are other additional characters that you read about and have a part to play in the book. I found the story entertaining and enjoyed reading it.

This is a wonderful set of 5 stories that will warm your heart. Each one highlights the importance of family. There is romance as well as steamy and swoon-worthy moments. It tells the stories of five sisters. Each of them left their hometown of Amherst, Ohio and have now returned. These stories had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading them. There are times when I had a smile on my face and others when I had tears in my eyes. Each story I would say is novella length and a joy to read. I loved reading about all the different characters. Many of them I would enjoy reading and learning more about. These stories will have you believing in true love, attraction, and taking chances. This set of stories were on my mind even after I had finished them. They are well-written, and I would highly recommend reading them.

The story Back in the Ring (The Predator Series Book 4) by Brooke May is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning, and I found myself lost in its pages. It is a book that had my emotions going up and down right along with the characters. I loved reading about Bijou Augustine and Noah. Bijou is a woman who runs a youth center. The center is important to her as she is keeping her late husband’s dream alive. At times she finds herself feeling frustrated, angry, and defeated. She is determined that the center will stay open even with donations dwindling. Noah is a man that is handsome and charming. He is kind and is willing to work for nothing. From the first time she meets Noah, Bijou feels a strong attraction to him. She is affected by him. There is a connection between them. Both Bijou and Noah are still healing from the pain that has occurred in their lives. Will these two take a chance and start a relationship? What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has both heartbreaking and heartwarming scenes. I grew to care about both Bijou and Noah with each chapter that I read, and I was wanting them both to find happiness. There is romance and steamy moments included in this book. There are also additional characters that you read about, and I enjoyed reading about the interactions they have with Bijou and Noah. Don’t miss out on a story that is well written and you won’t want to put down until you have read the ending. I highly recommend reading it.

This is the second book in the Burning Britely series. This book is written from the view of Braeden.

It goes through the confusion and consequences he had to face when he realised he had fallen for Jeff.
As well as a abusive family life to deal with Braeden struggles to find his place in his new romance with Jeff.

This book is really well written and expresses really well the feelings and emotions around things happening in his homelife and the feelings hes working through towards Jeff.

I really enjoyed it and its left me wanting to know where Jeff and Braeden end up.

Age of Saints: Druid’s Brooch Series: #7 By Christy Nicholas. I’m always a little surprised how much I like this series not because it could be bad it’s just not my normal read. But each time I find myself more in love with these stories. This one was definitely a bit of a roller coaster ride for my emotions but well worth it. It’s got action and characters you won’t be forgetting anytime soon. It’s well written and the author does a wonderful job of creating a story world that comes alive before your eyes. I’m giving this story a four stars and recommend it.

Dancing Queen by Charlotte Roth

Dancing Queen is a heartwarming, witty and entertaining romance by Charlotte Roth. This book had me smiling and laughing throughout the book while at the same time dealing with some serious health issues. Fi and Stu are lovable characters that were brought together in a support group by the HR department of the company that they work for. They are encouraged to take up a hobby like quilting to deal with their unhealthy eating habits. When they find that they both have a love of dancing, after discussing fears of not being able to do it, Stu and Fi decide to enter in a community dancing contest. The antics that follow are amazingly funny and insightful. I love the progression of this story and the growth of the characters. This is my new favorite book by Ms. Roth. If you are looking for a really great romance this is the book for you.
