Demon's Angel: Satan's Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With each of Manda Mellett’s books, I read each one draws you in, keeps you captivated and hooks you. Demon’s Angel is no different in fact I think this book drew me in even more than before. This is my second read from the Colorado Chapter series and I am never in doubt that I will enjoy the book. What makes this read even better? The Characters. With each read, you are taken along on their journey and in Demon’s Angel, Demon & Violet get to tell their story one that has a traumatic past and a future that I hope will get much better over time.

This read takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from the start, with the story filled with action, suspense, danger, passion, romance and of course more sexy MC men!
This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering when and what could possibly happen next. It left me reeling and anger with actions of some of the characters.
Each character is real, raw and relatable and you can’t help but hope and wish they get their HEA. My only issue with the Demon & Violet’s story was the back and forth they had with their emotions towards each other, I wish they would have just stopped assuming what the other one felt and just let go and stopped worrying!

I loved this read so much! I can’t wait to see what characters story we following next, to find out what journey they take!
Do not miss this read! I highly recommend this book and every book yet to come to this series!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Misfortune of Vision: Druid’s Brooch Series: #4 by Christy Nicholas is a page turner and I have to admit it was hard to put down. This is possibly my favourite book of the Druid Brooch series. Christy’s characters are full of life and are multidimensional and complex but they are beautifully written. Even though the books are part of a series they are standalones and can be read out of order. Each tale is that of the magical brooch and the families that it is passed down throughout generations. Christy’s writing is vivid and you can easily imagine the worlds and characters that she writes about and the magic and fantasy, folklore and history.

Temptation and Seduction by L.M. Mountford – Review by Michelle Austin

Temptation and SeductionTemptation and Seduction by L.M. Mountford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Temptation and Seduction was a steamy 5+ star read. This was a great compilation of hot and steamy short stories.

Just Once is a friends to lovers read.
Faye and Terry grew up together, they were close friends throughout their childhood. When Faye finally decides to make the first move things take a steamy twist. I have to say that I would love to read more on these two, I didn’t like the way it ended, I need more.

Valentine Misadventure
Sophie and her bodyguard are at a club enjoying themselves, they have taken things further into a steamy relationship. When her father’s men show up things take a scary twist, can they have a good Valentines day?

Play Time
James is a college student who meets a very sexy woman who isn’t shy about what she wants from him. After he goes home with her, things take a very interesting twist.

Stepdaddy’s Bad Girl
This story had me cringing at times. Eric comes across to me as a dirtbag arrogant stepfather. When he hears his step daughter trying to sneak out he decides to teach her a lesson. This is a very dark and twisted read that may have triggers for some. I have to say I love the dark and taboo but this was violent to an extent that I was a little uncomfortable.

Sweet Temptations
Richard encounters a very flirty babysitter. She is very straightforward about what she wants from him, and he can’t stop fantasizing about her. Can he resist or will he break his vows?

Sweet Temptation (The Boss’s Daughter)
Richard is once again being tempted, this time by his Boss’s daughter. Will he stay strong or will he give into temptation?

I overall really enjoyed these short stories, I”m not sure I would classify it as erotica. I wouldn’t mind reading more from some of these characters. I would like some back story to learn more and others moving forward. I will warn that some of the scenes can get graphic and I would recommend 18+ readers.

Heels of Fortune: PJ Santini Series: Book Two by Lynne Russell is a great continuation to the series. I really enjoyed this series. This quick paced and fun suspense story is full of mystery and intrigue and is very entertaining. Lynne’s blending of humor and the unknown which sometimes has you on the edge of your seat. This book centres around PJ’s past and the loss of her husband but with knowledge comes danger and PJ will do whatever it takes to protect her loved ones. PJ is sassy, spunky and full of attitude and is a joy to read about and Danger is her middle name. PJ is someone who could have many stories about her and we would never tire of reading.

The Queen of Witches (Wheel of Crowns Book 2) by Brandi Elledge

Four Stars

Could you even imagine being so different that you fear yourself? I know I couldn’t. To be so young and frighten. Charlie has three choices. Lose control and do harm, go to training or give up her powers. I know what I would choose. It’s a big responsibility to have such great power. I was excited about Talon until the author introduced Jameson. Can we say Hot. Not only was he yummy but also a werewolf. I think he fit Charlie so much better than any other character. I really liked Tandi. Her character kept the book up beat and entertaining. The author put together this story nicely I just wish the theme was different. Everything always comes down to war and the end of the world. I still enjoyed the story though.

Hate to Love You is the first book in the Baker’s Bunch series by
Lily Ryan. This story had me hooked from the very first page and I read the whole book in one sitting. This emotional read had me rooting for Cole and Samantha. Trying to keep their feelings a secret can only cause problems between themselves, their family and friends. This is set for a younger crowd but I still loved it in my middle age. The emotions were a roller coaster ride that will make you go from high highs to low lows. I enjoyed the readsand hope to read the next book in the series.

Tainted Saint (Hawke Family #5)Tainted Saint by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tainted Saint (The Hawke Family Book 5) by Gwyn McNamee is a five star novel. I have been in love with this series from the moment I knew it existed! This series will keep you on your toes and create steamy bedroom romance. The bedroom scenes in this novel will have you crying for more, but it is so much more than just that. When Caroline and Saint have their first encounter, they did not know how badly the other wanted that to happen between them. Neither one thought they were good enough for the other for whatever reason. After a month passes, Saint decides to make his move and Caroline at first is a little bit weird about it but she finally loosens up and lets Saint in. When Caroline starts looking into helping the Hawke family with an ongoing issue, Saint tells her to stop but she doesn’t want to.

By: Lynne Russell
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Heels Of Fortune (PJ Santini Series Book 2) by Lynne Russell was a fast pace, super fun, twisty turning read, that had me hooked!

The second book in this series, and man oh man I am in love with everything about it. Reading like a standalone you can jump right in, if you haven’t read the first book, Hell on Heels. But I highly suggest you do, cause it just as good as this book, and just one hell of a time. P.J. is something I tell you, if you read the first book you know what I’m talking about, and this book only adds more layers to that wonderful savage character. Now add in another amazing plot, with mystery, sass, and a crazy yet wicket family dynamic, and you have a recipe for greatness.

Overall if you haven’t guessed, this book is a must read and a must in your life. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will no want to put this book, this series, down.

Happy Reading

Heels Of Fortune is the second book in Lynne Russell’s PJ Santini series! In the first book we got a pretty good glimpse into PJ’s mind and I think it was a pretty fascinating and hilarious place to hang out at! You settle in and you do not want to leave! Who would when you can hang out with a strong and intelligent woman! She is both a private investigator and a TV reporter! AND she has an amazing shoe collection!!!!
The second book takes us deep into PJ’s late husband’s shocking secret that puts her into danger! You try to read as fast as you can, flipping the pages, keeping your fingers crossed that PJ’s hot boss Tango will be able to keep her safe, wondering what the future will hold for her and whether she will end up being a dead girl in hot heels! Grab a bottle of wine and hide away with PJ!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Misfortune of Vision by Christy Nicholas is the fourth book in the Druid’s Brooch series. I like this series because the books can be read in any order and still enjoyed. The story has a continuing theme in a 12th-century Irish setting. I really enjoyed the characters in this story. Orlagh is a seer who has set out on a mission of her own. She is trying to find an heir for her Druid’s brooch.
This story is well written and the story, characters, and setting drew me in and I did not want to put the book down. I really look forward to reading more in this series and going on more explorations with the characters over the centuries.

Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn – Review by Maura Harper

Secure DesireSecure Desire by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In theory, this story is totally my jam… a romantic suspense with action and adventure.

I tried to stick with it, I really did. This is super multi-dimensional story with many many characters and many many details. The timeline is on like week 2 when we are 30% in (this is not am exact figure, it’s just how it felt).

I admit that I got lost in all the detail. We are essentially given the M/Cs CV and portfolio details 3 times by the same people in 3 different conversations. At one point I jumped ahead 50% and the same details were being relayed again.

I was very disconnected from this story and never warmed up to it.

I will say this: Assuming all of the information regarding BUD/S and medicine and art and security companies is factual, the author did an amazing job on research. I always appreciate the hard work an author puts into their craft. Not every book can be my cup of tea.

Run to the Sea (Reigning Hearts, #1)Run to the Sea by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Run to the Sea (Reigning Hearts) is a Contemporary Romance by K.G. Fletcher. This book follows Emeline and Thomas who were childhood best friends. But life and distance took these two on different paths. When Thomas inherits his grandfather’s beach house and he finds himself back where he spent many summers growing up. Emeline working at the local diner, knows her customer is the childhood best friend. They find themselves hitting it off as they take a trip down memory lane, and Thomas finds himself wondering has he always loved her and can he walk away from his job waiting for him in NYC.
K.G. Fletcher gave us an amazing read that gives us moments of love, happiness, sadness which was a rollercoaster of emotions which makes this book that will touch your heart in so many ways. I wanted this story to just keep going because I grew to love Thomas and Emeline. I give this book 5 stars and know I will be waiting to read more by K.G.

Demon's Angel: Satan's Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Demon’s Angel by Manda Mellett is book two of the Satan’s Devils Colorado Chapter series. I couldn’t put this book down! It has everything. There is drama, action, suspense and love.

Demon made a promise when he was younger and he always intended to keep it. Look after Violet. That promise was so much easier to keep when she wasn’t in town, making her crush on him known. Now she’s back and she’s not alone. He can’t let her presence get to him. He will help her but only as a surrogate older brother. Are Violet’s feelings one sided? Can she deal with this while also keeping her son safe?

This book definitely gives you more of an insight into who Demon is as a character. I really enjoyed this book and seeing how he acts in relation to Violet. This book is so good I truly couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going on and what was going to happen next. I suggest reading book one first because it gives you more of a background into the story but both books are worth reading!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read a couple of books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This is the second book in the PJ Santini series. You will have to read the first book in order to understand what is going on this book. I was so excited when I seen this book. I was hooked right from the beginning and I could not stop until the end. You will fall in love with these characters all over again. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.

PJ Santini is still trying to find out the truth about her ex husband. She then gets a phone call asking for some type of stone that this man thinks she has. PJ has no idea what he is talking about and she goes to her man Tango for help. They work together to figure out what her ex has gotten her into. They quickly realize that it is not good. PJ also needs some help from her family and friends. She is in danger and she doesn’t even know why. PJ starts to put the puzzle together and she may put others into danger as well. Will PJ be able to solve this mystery or will it be too dangerous?

I absolutely love this series. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and some suspense. These characters take you into their own world. PJ is a very smart and independent woman. She loves her job but she also has a killer fashion sense. Tango is very supportive of PJ and her career. He wants to be the man in her life and he will do anything for her. This talented author will keep you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what will happen to these unforgettable characters.

While there is some issues written about that some might have trouble reading I believe the author does a wonderful job of writing those things. The characters are beautifully flawed and relatable each with a story that needs to be heard. I love a book in multiple POV because it really builds the story in a fuller picture allowing readers to get different angles of characters. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. I won’t be forgetting this story anytime soon that’s for sure. And I’ll definitely be looking for more by this author. Past Storm and Fire by Christy Nicholas is original and engaging and the author wove real life into fantasy as she wrote this story. It is a quick and fluid read that was intriguing and definitely takes you on a journey to remember. The fantasy, the mystery and the past and present collide. Captivating and refreshing is how I would describe this tale that shows a woman who is unsure of her marriage who finds herself immersed in a world that is not known if it is real or not.

5 out of 5 stars

The story The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge is a wonderful supernatural fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that has action, danger, and romance. It is a book that drew me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the character of Tandi. She is a newly made vampire that seems to have the title of “worst vampire ever.” She is trying to train and learn how to survive on her own however the more she tries the more her humanity seems to come out. She keeps her attraction to the Prince of the Vampires to herself even when she finds him hot and smoking. She also finds herself at odds with the Queen of the Vampires who wants her Prince back. This could include the demise of Tandi. Will Tandi survive the Queen’s plans? Will Tandi show her true feelings for the Prince of Vampires? What does the future hold for Tandi? Read this book to find out. There are times when I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next in the story. There is also playful and humorous bantering dialogue included. There are other characters that are introduced and some of them I enjoyed reading about while others had their own agenda and plans. Will they be stopped? Don’t miss out on an exciting story that will have you glued to the pages. Recommended reading.

The novella Tainted Saint (The Hawke Family Book 5) by Gwyn McNamee is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is romantic and steamy. I loved reading about the characters of Solomon Clarke and Caroline Brooks. These two have an undeniable attraction to one another. There is a pull, spark, and connection between them. They have one night together. Will it lead to something more? What does the future hold for Solomon and Caroline? Read this novella to find out. There are steamy moments that will have the temperature in the room rising. There are intense dialogue. Caroline starts a dangerous investigation. Solomon is determined to keep her safe. This story drew me in and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. Highly recommended reading. This is a novella in a series that does need to be read in order in order to fully understand that story and events that happen. Both the story and the characters intertwine in each book.

Until Fools Find Gold (Providence Gold Book One) by Mary B Moore – Review by Liz Vrchota

Until Fools Find GoldUntil Fools Find Gold by Mary B. Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My goodness gracious, I just could not for the life of me get enough of Until Fools Find Gold: A Providence Gold Series and Until Series Crossover. I’ll be completely frank here when I tell you that I solely chose this book based off the cover. It snagged my eyes and drew me in and I just had to read it. No questions asked. I have never heard of Mary B. Moore, never read her works or the previous novels this springs forth from, but it was all good. Every page consumed me. Ms. Moore has one hell of a talent for writing some emotive characters, and I found myself wrapped up in my feelings from the very start of the novel till the very end. I am so darn excited that there is going to to be more books with the same people/family and that there is a whole series that I have not had a chance to read yet. I will be devouring those as soon as I possibly can. This one however was all about Luna and Noah and my word they were just divine. Luna has been to hell and back and she will break your heart before she puts it back together. Noah is well, besides delicious and sweet, just the perfect man for her. He has waited a very long time for the time to be right to finally have a shot with Luna. These two and their journey is one story you will not soon forget. I know I won’t and it will grace my bookshelves at home ASAP too. Thank you so much for the fabulous read Ms. Moore.

Blinded by Betrayal with Spin DriftBlinded by Betrayal with Spin Drift by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a very quick read that features a prequel (part one) and the main story. At the beginning of the story, the author explains why it is written this way.

Both parts are very different from each other. Part One is full of open door sex scenes and Part Two is more of an action adventure.

The female protagonist is strong and determined and it was interesting to understand her methodology. In addition to the sexual/action adventure story lines, there is subtle humor.

This was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it to readers who are cool being a “bit” voyueristic.

Secure Desire: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn – Review by Michelle Austin

Secure DesireSecure Desire by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Secure Desire was a 5+ star read and A Chase Group Novel.
All I can say is wow, I was pulled in right from the beginning.

Cassie is an FBI agent who has had a couple of huge tragedies in her life. She has closed herself off from any type of relationship, she’s damaged.
Ian Chase met Cassie six years prior and was smitten with her, seeing her again now has brought the feelings back and he starts to pursue her. Ian is an ex-Navy Seal who owns his own successful private security team and I might add is extremely hot.

Cassie remembers meeting Ian but had suffered a traumatic event that has caused her to shut down and have panic attacks. She’s afraid to get close to anyone for fear of rejection.

You won’t like me once you know what I am – Cassie

There is a huge twist at a charity event that had my emotions all over the place. I will warn it does get graphic and had me cringing at times. My heart went out to Cassie and everything that she went through. I was on the edge of my seat pretty much the whole time waiting to see what was coming next. Can Ian and his team keep Cassie safe? Will Cassie finally let Ian into her heart?

There is so much more to this read. I loved all of the characters, they all added great elements to the story. Some I didn’t care for, some I loved. I can’t wait to see more from several of them. I highly recommend this read and I look forward to reading more from R.L. Dunn. I need more from the Chase Group. I loved them.

The Vampire Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 3)The Vampire Queen by Brandi Elledge
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Elledge continues to write a thrilling tale within a spellbinding universe. The books flow from one to another but do not have to be read in order to be understood or enjoyed. I’m becoming a big fan of Elledge and loved this book. Cannot wait to see what she has in store for the readers next!

Tainted Saint (The Hawke Family Book 5) by Gwyn McNamee -Review by Angela Hayes

Tainted Saint (Hawke Family #5)Tainted Saint by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tainted Saint is the fifth book in the Hawke Family series by Gwyn McNamee. WOW! I knew as soon as I heard that Saint and Caroline were getting their own book that it would be sooo good, and Ms. McNamee didn’t disappoint!!! With the all the sizzle Ms. McNamee is so great at, as well as some drama, suspense, danger, intrigue, and so much more- this book felt much bigger than a novella. As with every book I have read of Ms. McNamee’s, I devoured it as soon as it hit my kindle.
This book could be read as a standalone, but I strongly suggest reading all the books in their correct order to get all the backstories, character information and other relevant details- which will enhance your reading pleasure. But be prepared to get a serious addiction to Ms. McNamee’s stories and characters- one book certainly won’t be enough!
I highly recommend this book, and the entire series- as you are sure to become as addicted to her stories, as I am. She should definitely be on everyone’s ‘must read’ list!
Can’t wait for the next book!!!

Thank you, Ms. McNamee!
