Act I: Seed On Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 1) by Michele Sims – Review by Maura Harper
Act I: Seed On Fire by Michele Sims
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
ACT 1: SEED ON FIRE is the first book in the “Moore Family Saga”. This is a multidimensional story with several story lines running at the same time.
The writing was very detailed and it is obvious the author plotted the story rather than writing a stream of consciousness. The story flows from beginning to end in a slow, even pace even though there is A LOT going on.
Because this is a spoiler free review I will not give specifics yet I will say that the whole thing was a bit over the top. Each story line on its own would be a decent read (dysfunctional sibling relationships, secret societies, stereotypical characters) but put together in such a detailed way had me.speeding through most of the book. At around 53% I almost DNF but really wanted to see how it all concluded.
I always always appreciate an author putting their ideas on paper. This book is well edited, had no plot holes and a very defined beginning, middle and end.
