Ricochet by Kathryn Berla is a young adult sci-fi story. The Characters are very well developed and written and I really enjoyed the story line. The twists and turns kept me on my toes and not wanting to put it down from page 1. While this is one of my favorite Genres, this is a new author for me and I really enjoyed the writing style and story line. I will definitely continue to read this author. I give this book a solid 5 stars.
I’m not so sure where to start with this story. Parallel universes are always an interesting theme. So many ways to go there. In Ricochet, Kathryn Berla, takes us on a journey with four very different girls, but so much alike in many ways. There is a mild, same sex romance in this story that I think opens the doorway to address all the emotions that are on stage in this story. Guilt and shame versus confidence and self-assurance, a life of plenty, a life of poverty, timid versus bold. So many facets of the human nature addressed in this story. Its not a book to just whiz through. It’s a story to think through. I found myself having to back track a time or two just to verify my own thoughts. If you are looking for a good story, that is also mind stimulating this is a book for you.
Ricochet is a YA Sci-Fi by Kathryn Berla. I was amazed by the concept of this story. A DNA test that triggered a story of one girl with four different points of view. This book had me hooked from the very first page. Once I got used to bouncing from one point of view to another, the book just kept me so intrigued I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading more books by Ms. Berla.

This sci fi fantasy is an interesting and confusing read. I did have fun with this book but with the stories all being from four different point of views, I did get lost faster. The mystery that surrounds Tati and her ancestry search opens up a confusing, exciting, mysterious and fun world. I really enjoyed how thought out the characters were and how they fit into the storyline. This story is nothing like I have read before so that, elevated this book so much more for me. The amount of detail, and thought that went into this book and the different stories really shows, and really impressed me. I would highly recommend this read!
Who doesn’t love a good hate to love relationship and then add in an adult theme park on top this makes for a good book. Enya and Neve are not big fans of one another but when they get stuck together for work, can they make their new relationship work while working together.
This sizzling fast-paced suspense will have you turning the pages and not wanting it to end. If you are like me and like your romances with side kinkiness then you need to read this series. Because Phoebe Alexander knows how to bring the SEXY back into my life.

Ricochet by Kathryn Berla is an interesting YA read. This book is suitable and can be enjoyed by teens and older. There is a sci-fi feel with science, parallel universes, and multiple characters who are the same person. The author keeps everything understandable and with a good flow. Tati, Ana, Tatyana, and Tanya are all their own person with their own characteristics. Each reacts differently to the same situations. The catch is they must all come together in order to survive. I will not give information on the plot because there is nothing worse than getting the plot and spoilers while reading a review. Just know this is a fun read that I did not want to put down. It is well written and the story is thought out and easy to follow.
Evergreen by Mya O’Malley is a sweet and romantic story that really has you believing in happily ever after. I was drawn immediately in to this story and the journey that June and Graham went on. It was such a lovely story the connection between them. I really liked that we got to see another side to this author. I am used to her other work which is a completely different style. Reading this book shows just how talented she is as you would never know she doesn’t write like this all the time. This is a great book and one that I will definitely recommend.
Ricochet by Kathryn Berla is a YA science fiction story that centers on Tati, a 17-year-old high school girl who, after taking a DNA test gets the surprise of her life when the results come back. When she begins having seizures and seeing different versions of herself, she is even more confused. I can’t say that I am a big fan of science fiction but this story had an interesting concept, I mean haven’t we all, at one time or another, thought there may be alternate universes out there? What bothered me and kept me from giving this book 5 stars is the amount of back and forth. It confused me at times and I found myself going back pages to see if I missed something. Other than that, a little more world building and the author would have a solid story that will be enjoyed by many.

Ricochet is a stand-alone read by Kathryn Berla. This is definitely an unusual read but also captivating and interesting as well. Kathryn Berla has always had a unique writing style and this book is not different. First of all, it was a little difficult to keep up the with the story as we were given various versions of our main characters through various timelines, that continually changed throughout the read, but once you fully committed to the book and took the time to really digest the read it was quite easy to follow. This book definitely has a lot going on and it weaves mystery, drama, action & adventure altogether while leaving you wanting more. I love Kathryn Berla’s writing and character development is makes the characters and storyline seem even more real and helps the characters jump off the page! I’m so glad I picked up this read, it’s one that shouldn’t be missed.

Holiday Terminal (A Second Chance Secret Baby Billionaire Holiday Romance by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson is a brilliant collaboration of work by these two authors. This is a fantastic book that will really get you in the holiday spirit. This is a quick but heartwarming story about two people who are given their second chance at love. The question is will they take it. I really enjoyed these two characters. For me they are what got me invested in this book. I wanted to see if they could work things out. I wanted them to get their happy ending. I loved how the authors developed the story was well. This is the perfect type of book to curl up with one afternoon and shut the world away. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope these authors choose to work together in the future.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons is a collection of 7 hot and steamy short stories by L.M. Mountford. Some of these short stories are also contained in Temptation and Seduction which is another collection of short stories by this author. I had previously read, and enjoyed Temptation and Seduction, so was happy to re-visit those stories that I had read before. This collection has a bit of everything for the hot and steamy romance lover. This collection contains friends to lovers, taboo/forbidden relationships, BDSM, paranormal romance among others. Each story contains a different alpha male in a variety of different circumstances. One thing all the stories have in common is hot, steamy, erotic sexual encounters. Some may leave you rather hot under the collar and in need of a fan to cool down. I’m a total sucker for a friends-to-lovers romance so have to say that Just Once was my favourite story in this collection. Having had a few tastes of this author’s short stories, I’d love to read a full length novel of theirs. If these short stories are anything to go by, I’m sure it would be pant meltingly hot!

I enjoyed the suspense and mystery that it brought. I had a hard time getting into the story but once I was there, it went fast. I enjoyed the attention to detail this author has throughout the story as well as the interesting characters. The Dewitt Agency is hired by a client to investigate a claim of smuggled antiques. What will happen when Matt realizes this is above his head and that his freedom in now at steak? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next with Matt.

Supernatural Love Stories in the Absurd: Four Book Collection By Gwyn McNamee/ D.P. Payne 5 out of 5 stars
I absolutely loved reading this group of stories. There are supernatural creatures, mystery, and romance. The book has steamy moments that will make the temperature in the room rise. These stories pulled me in and had me turning pages to find out what happened next. I enjoyed reading about the characters that are introduced. Their personalities make it seem like they jump off the page. Each story will take you on a journey. Each one will have you hooked. I love stories about Egypt, pharaohs, and archeologists so Cursed is a wonderful story. The other stories are just as wonderful as you meet a wendigo, a ghost, and a legend. I highly recommend these stories and you will not be disappointed reading them.

Holiday Terminal By: Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson 5 out of 5 stars
The story Holiday Terminal is a wonderful book to read. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Penelope and Artemis. Both have landed at a small airport because of the weather. She thought that he was only part of her past. He is going home to make a statement that has been a long time coming. Once they see each other the memories come back. What does the future hold for Penelope and Artemis? Will they give each other a second chance? Can Artemis convince Penelope that she is the only woman he has ever loved? Read this book to find out. The authors do a wonderful job of making the character likable and believable. The story does have a bit of romance as well as times of conflict. This second chance romance is set at Christmas time. The perfect time for joy and happiness. Will Penelope and Artemis listen to their hearts and make this Christmas one they will always remember? Don’t miss out on a book that will have you hooked from the beginning to the very end. I highly recommend it.

DP Payne is one of those must read authors, especially when it comes down to PNR. I had read a few of the Supernatural Love stories prior to this box set being released and I am so glad that I got the chance to scoop them all up in one neat package to devour at my own pace and time. I also adore box sets when they are from my favorite series and authors because it makes the ability to gift them to family and friends and spread that author love. Each book could be read in whichever order and at your discretion but I read them as they were arranged and loved every moment of it. The option to bounce around is there as long as you read them all, because they are too good to pass up. Ill give you a touch on each book but these really should just be scooped right up and devoured. You won’t regret it once you do. I look forward to finding out what else we will get from DP Payne in the near future! I am sure it will be wonderful!
~Parched~ This scooped my heart up and crushed it, then proceeded to put it all back together in a way I never knew I needed. Yes this has it all and dives into the greedy, dirty, sexy parts of life. Each of the characters shined in their own way and complemented the story perfectly grasped my attention for the next awaited book. There is 4000 plus years of angst packed into this short and sweet love story that will give you a taste of the dark paranormal as well. All around a five star read on its own.
~Cursed~ We get a bit more time travel with this one and of course some more of that paranormal and dark twisty love that we love reading from DP Payne. I was so excited to see the woman heroine shine in this novel and it made for some funny parts as she stood her ground. The names caught me up a tad in this book, simply because I am a fast reader and sometimes I found the flow thrown off with trying to make sure I got the name to sound right in my head. All a personal preference though so this book comes in at a strong four stars. Not my favorite of the group but I still loved it nonetheless. A very mummy like trip that I really was happy to have had the chance to read. I am so ready to get my hands on Spirited though!
~Spirited~ Margot and Blake steal the story with Spirited, and the favorite spot for me with this series. I adored Margot, in fact she reminds me of myself in some ways for sure. I can be a bit of a smartyalec and she is the epitome of one. I found myself high-fiving and cheering her on a few spots. I really loved her lol. I also enjoyed the setting of New Orleans, it really shined in the novel and took me away. Blake was a blast to follow as well and I really just overall enjoyed this book! Murder, laughter, dark and magical feelings, and of course the heat of romance all combine to make this one shine the brightest of them all!
Each of these books are different yet alike, something I really enjoyed and even more so was something that broke up the monotony of reading that I sometimes find myself in. I can’t wait to share this with some friends and reread them for myself in the near future! Hope to see more of these box sets as well!

Fire & Ice, Spicetopia #3, by Phoebe Alexander. This is the third book in the Spicetopia Series. This is the third book in the Spicetopia Series. I loved that this book was loaded with suspense and kept you wanting more. As usual, it was sexy and the main characters, Neve and Enya were amazing together. At first they can’t stand to be around each other but when they are forced together, things change. Will they be able to work together and keep the spark going? I absolutely loved this series as well as this amazing author and I can not wait for more!!!
Chasing Clay (The DeWitt Agency Files Book 3) by Lance Charnes is very cleverly written and all the threads woven together to create a great read. It is a suspenseful, mysterious and intriguing tale where there are lots of twists. It took me a bit to settle into the story as it was a bit slow but once the pace picked up it was full of conning the con man it completely engrossed and enthralled me. I really liked our main character and his clever way of thinking and putting things together. Lance has created a world that you can easily imagine and get caught up in.
I will not share the story because it is one where you need to discover all on your own. Now that I have read this book I have to get my hands on some of his other work.

Ricochet by Kathryn Berla is a YA sci fi that has an interesting premise but it was slow to get into. The story was a little hard to keep track of because it jumped between past and present but also between characters. I never really settled into the story and felt that even though interesting it could have been more. The characters didn’t really grab me I felt like they need more substance as did the worlds in which they lived.
Whilst it didn’t meet my expectations doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a go. I am not a great lover of sci fi unless it is done really well and for me Ricochet didn’t stand up.

Jax Marlin: To Catch a Marlin is the first book in the To Catch a Marlin Series by T.K Toppin. This is my first book by Ms. Toppin- and I was seriously blown away by her fantastic story. She definitely got my attention, and has me excited to read the rest of the series. There are several more books in the series, available now- which I will be diving into asap- because if this first book is anything to go by, the rest of the series is set to be quite an exciting and fun ride. This is an addictive futuristic sci-fi adventure story- with mystery, suspense, action, thrills, and so much more. It’s like an old Noir detective story crossed with a vigilante graphic comic, then set in the future with spaceships, and all the futuristic technology. I was hooked before I had even begun to read the story. The incredibly beautiful, and quite intriguing cover instantly had my attention- then when I read the blurb, there was no question if I would read it- it was an instant one-click for me. I was soon caught up in all the intriguing development and action as it unfolded- following along to discover what would happen. Ms. Toppin’s world building skills are quite masterful, creating complex landscapes and ‘world/s’ in which to set her story. Her attention to detail is superb- crafting a world with its own unique flavour and feel- with advanced technology, transportation (both on-world and off-world), and incredible futuristic settlements/metropolis’. She has such a ‘visual’ quality to her writing- a dynamic feel that sets her story apart from others in the same genre. I really recommend this story, especially to those who love a great cat and mouse mystery- all wrapped up in a sci-fi wrapper. What’s not to love? Brilliant!

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons by L.M. Mountford was a super steamy read! I would give these steamy books a five out of five stars. I loved the quick steamy reads. The characters were intense and I enjoyed that each story had a different plot. I would love to read more in depth or what happens next to some of these stories.
5 Star Fire & Ice (Spicetopia #3) by Phoebe Alexander is an Amazingly written book that I absolutely loved reading. Although these books can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading the first two books as well, Phoebe Alexander is an amazing author that never disappoints her characters are very well developed and her storylines are on point.This story has a bit of everything from suspense ,kidnapping ,and hot steamy scenes. Each story is about a different couple this one is about Enya and Neve. Find out what happens when these two have to work together to stop someone who’s trying to sabotage Spicetopia’s grand opening. Can they all come out of it together? I can’t recommend this book or this Author enough. I look forward to seeing what she brings us next.

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee was emotional, raw, realistic, and wow. I was hooked by Natalie’s story. He retelling of her life was heart warming and tearful. As I read, I felt like I was in the room with her. Herr emotions were palpable and its almost as if I felt them right a long with her. I was amazed with the authors ability to portray these feelings from the pages of this book. I easily got lost in her work. This book was way more than I expected when I first picked it up. I was very impressed. It had an easy storyline that was organized and smooth. It was also descriptive and the author made it easy to visualize each scene. It was by far one of my favorite reads.

Deadly Alliance (An Alliance Agency Novel – The Prequel) by Maddie Wade & India Kells 5 stars
I am absolutely in love with this series already. I was sucked into this story from the beginning and through laughs and lots of tears, i made it to the end loving this so much. Shane is hurting and I could feel the guilt and sadness coming through the pages as I read and then add in Emme and it was all over the feelings meter for me. Emme, so strong and courageous and just wanting to be seen to be an equal. The emotions, the heartbreak and the downright sad in this book was felt so strongly. I highly recommend this book and will now be going back to read both of these series from the beginning as i haven’t had the pleasure yet.
I really liked this story. It’s well-written with characters that are immediately likeable. If you are looking for a quick, heartwarming, holiday read, this is the one. Great job. 5 stars.

Evergreen By Mya O’Malley ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a full length romance novel. It is so nice to read a Sweet Romance.
June just wants to be herself. Which is not what her parents want. While she has money, she does not want others to know. She loves her job working at the shelter. When Graham finds a stray Great Dane, he brings it to the shelter. Now he wants the dog and the girl. But does the dog and June want Graham?
Mya O’Malley has written this sweet romance. It is well written and a fast read. Sometimes I just want a clean romance, that is outside the bedroom. This is just what I needed. I’m sure you will love it too. June and Graham are the perfect characters for this book. The way she brings this couple together was amazing. That Great Dane made the story come together. I Love Evergreen. Sweet romance for those young teenage readers. Thank You Mya O’Malley! !
Fire & Ice (Spicetopia Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander. This is the 3rd book in the series and one of my favorites! Its the story of someone trying to derail the grand opening of Spicetopia an adult themed park. Neve Romano is the Director of Security and on a Press Circuit with Enya Moore Director of Public Relations. They have never really gotten along but during this press junket they are thrown to rely on each other because someone is out to sabotage them and will stop at nothing. Neve is quiet and not much of a people person and Enya is a talker and seems to never stop. The heat between them picks up as they realize they are the only two people that can save each other. This series is so good and you could probably read this as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first 2 books to get the whole background. You won’t be disappointed!
Evergreen by Mya O’Malley. This is the sweetest feel good book I’ve read in a long time. Its the story of June short for Juniper who has been handed a very good hand as far as finances are concerned but when it comes to matters of the hard not so much. When she starts to care for homeless animals she decides her next love will have 4 legs not 2. Out of the blue a Great Dane named Maxine is delivered to the shelter by Graham who seems interesting enough but Maxine steals the show. June is in love immediately with Maxine and it seems Maxine is intent on getting June and Graham together. This is such a cozy read and it would be perfect to curl up with a cup of cocoa and a blanket and read the day away! Find out if Maxine is successful in getting June and Graham together!
Fire & Ice is the third book in the series, and I would recommend that you read the other two before reading this one just to have the full enjoyment. It is possible to read them as stand alone novels if you should choose to do so however. This has to be my favorite so far of the series, but I say that lightly because I am super excited for the next book, Naughty & Nice so I can see that eclipsing this love. I am sure either way I will love it as much as these others.
I loved the premise in Fire & Ice, it has a bit of differences that kept me a tad more engaged in the story than before. I loved the added suspense and drama that made me hanging on to the last page to find out what would come next. Neve and Enya steal the show as they navigate each other and Spicetopia. Neither have any idea what the future will hold in store for them but handle it perfectly. I adore these two and the way the played off each other.
