This is an amazing story to read. It pulled me in right from the beginning and I found that I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. The book had my emotions going up and down as I read about the characters and the situations that they face. The story has heartwarming moments and also moments that are hard for the characters to think about. I loved reading about Patience and Duke. I grew to care about them with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to be happy. The book also has some very romantic scenes. The story has additional characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about the interactions between them and Patience and Duke. The story has the characters in situations that they must cope with. It had me thinking about what I would do if in the same situation. I found myself thinking about the story even after I had finished it. Don’t miss out on an awesome book that has amazing characters. I highly recommend reading it.

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) by KG Fletcher. This is the second book in this series but it can be read as a standalone. This book was amazing! It took my breath away, made me ugly cry and feel every emotion in between. I loved it! Its the story of Ginger McCormick who we first met in Book 1. She has an amazing husband and a newborn daughter and her life seems like its perfect until tragedy strikes. Going back to the beach is not in her plans at all because of the memories but she has to for her friend Emeline’s wedding. Jonathon Walden is the new Doctor in town who is trying to get away from all the memories of his former life and the pain. Going to a meeting for loss Jonathon and Ginger meet and the attraction is instand. Will they be able to let go of their past hurts and take a chance on love? Evergreen is a sweet, emotional love story with so many lessons to teach us! June, the seemingly backwards, shy, and clumsy girl from the animal shelter isn’t really whom she appears to be. She is, but there is much more to her that she keeps hidden from everyone because she is too afraid of being used and hurt if people find out the truth. Graham is the shy but sexy 6th grade teacher who happens upon a mysterious dog and meets June while taking the dog to the shelter. When the two of them and Maxine get together, things get humorous, serious, and at times, emotional.
This was a wonderful story that teaches us how powerfully our pasts can affect our presents. How animals can bring so much joy to our lives and help us heal old and new wounds. It also shows us the important works that local animal shelters do and how much help they need in order to operate in the most beneficial way for the animals.
I enjoyed this book so much! I could picture everything perfectly. The scenes and characters were written so well, the images are fed to you right from the pages. I highly recommend this short and sweet romance to everyone!

This story was an awesome one! It sucked me in from the very first page and I devoured it. It was well written and the main characters were relatable and I liked them alot. This story is all about second chances and finding yourself along the way. Patience and Duke are the MC’s and the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts. Patience is a little lost in life, and she is set on changing her life around and taking control. Duke left her lost and alone when he joined the Marines, but not that hes out will he want that second chance at love again with the girl he left so long ago? Go get this book! Their story is a must read and I would recommend it to anyone that loves when the characters get their second chances! Happy Reading!

Hidden Tracks by Zoe Lee is a definite read for musicians, music lovers, and rock groupies. Some might say that the author takes her time before getting into the action between the main characters. Others may say she is passionate about the world-building and introducing the characters before trying to build the chemistry. I would compare it to a good ballad – it slowly builds the scene before building the tempo. Regardless of whether you consider the details monotonous or interesting, once the plot starts deepening, it’ll be difficult to put the book down. It’s a wonderful story of overcoming the scars of the past and letting love heal.

RICOCHET is an intriguing premise and was an interesting story to read. I don’t want to give anything away so I’m going to be super vague and factual in this review:

I was so stinking excited to get my hands on this book by two of my favorite go-to authors when it comes to romance with some excitement and sizzle. I was really hoping this book was everything I had hoped it would be and even more excited to report that is soared beyond my expectations even. Wade and Kells have similar writing styles and it is evident that they compliment each other with the ebb and flow of this story. Even better, there will be more of these books to come!
Deadly Alliance is the prequel to An Alliance Agency series from these two and I can tell that things are going to be one heck of a ride along the way. In Deadly Alliance we are introduced to Shane Rhodes and Emme Wallace, two agents from two separate teams who suddenly find themselves working very much on the same team. These two pose as a married couple whilst under cover investigating a serial killer. As the body count rises the need to figure out this case becomes more and more dire. I loved the way these two characters worked together. They made things light and airy where needed and got down to business the other times. I found myself rooting and cheering at these two as if I was watching my favorite football team edge a win. My only sadness came with the end of the book, but like I said there is more to come and I am in line for that right away!
This was a fast paced read and has 2 of my favorite things, dogs and a sweet romance. June never measured up in her parents eyes and my heart hurt for her as she didn’t trust easily, if at all. Graham was funny, a little awkward and also just an all around good guy. Cant forget the star of the book, Maxine! What a great character to add to this book. She brought it all together and I loved her antics. Great read!
So first let me start with the cover of this book… gorgeous. When I saw it was penned by Kathryn Berla I knew it was something I had to ge my hands on, having read some of her other novels and enjoying them. I was skeptical only because it looked a bit on the sci-fi side of things and I simply prefer to avoid them because I just don’t comprehend and get confused with these types of books. So I went it cautious of this. I will say I enjoyed the idea, and I can see where it would shine with some fine tuning or even just some splitting up. The idea is a girl named Tatiana is able to see herself in alternate or parallel universes while she seizes. When she figured this out she begins to explore the other girls. Now here is where I got so stinking lost. We get three other girls in three other universes with the same supporting characters. Trying to sift through all of that information and keep it all straight was just too much. I could see where this book could become a successful series. Each girl getting her own book would cut down the confusion I am sure. Just an idea but this book unfortunately for this reason fell short for me. I will be interested to see what we will get next and if Ms. Berla ever re-configures this story line.
All the things with this book! First and foremost, I will start with the gorgeous cover of this novel. I loved this so much that I scooped it up not even reading a word or who it is by. I was shocked to find out that the author was Mya O’Malley, normally one of my favorite authors that pens suspense and twisty books. This was not the case with Evergreen and that is no easy feat being able to bounce from such different genres and make them both extraordinary like you see with this case. Evergreen is a contemporary romance with a bit of magic I felt, or the feel of it at least. I loved how the animals were given a voice and that attributed to the magical feeling of it all. This book brings to life right before your eyes June, a relatable girl for most and makes the story everything it is. I loved how this book unfolded so organically and wrapped up in a nice neat way. I look forward to seeing what else Mya O’Malley tries her pen at, I am sure I will love it!
Knight Watch by Maddie Wade and India Kells is the first book in Alliance Agency series. This is a brilliant start to a new series by two authors that are absolutely fantastic. This book is definitely action packed. The whole thing is such a whirlwind of a journey. It feels like you take everything single step with these characters, especially Sydney. These authors have managed to combine their writing styles so successfully that for me you really couldn’t tell them apart. They worked so well together and have created a story that really is a must read. Having read this book and the prequel I cannot wait to see what else is to come.
I love a good suspense and this book had me enraptured quickly. I haven’t read anything from this author before and was very glad to have had this book find its way into my hands. Suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. Snappy dialogue. Intriguing plot development. Relatable characters. All worthy qualities of a permanent addition to my personal library. Really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in the series.

Hennessey On the Rocks is an engrossing and emotive read by the talented Monica DeSimone. This second chance romance had all the right ingredients needed to keep me hooked. From the interesting and endearing characters, to the wonderful story- full of drama, angst, secrets, discovery, emotion, romance, and humour- I was smitten right from the start. Charlie and Jonathan were really great characters- enticing me into their story as everything unfolded, and even though they frustrated me at times, I was still cheering them on the whole way through. But it was a cute little 3 year-old who stole the whole show for me. She wasn’t just adorable- she was truly wise beyond her years. The banter and antics were funny and at times really heart-warming. This story wouldn’t have had the same impact without the addition of Abi, or Jace, that’s for sure. I love the attention to detail, and the wonderfully descriptive scene setting Ms. DeSimone is so good at, and is superbly showcased here. It was so easy to visualize everything, right down to ‘hearing’ their ‘voices’- especially Abie’s cute 3 year-old way of saying things. There were quite a few memorable moments that makes this book one of my favourites of hers. And I can’t wait to try out the recipes from at the end of the book. Snicker-doodles….YUM! But I really recommend having a box of tissues close at hand while reading, because this story is going to stir your emotions quite thoroughly! I wonder what Ms. DeSimone has in store for us next?

I have read both of these authors before and liked them when they wrote books alone. For me when both these authors were on Deadly Alliance I jumped at the chance to read them both with one story. There are two agencies Fortis and Purgatory who offer covert services with their highly qualified operatives. Shane Rhodes is one of the operatives. He is a former Navy Seal who has had a lot of tragedies in his past, but he takes the murder of his best friend’s little sister personally. Emme is young but is working with Shane. They both are looking for revenge. Will there be barriers to keep them at bay? Will Shane’s and Emme’s skills be able to take out the threat? I highly recommend this story.

In Hang On To Your Shirt Tails by C.A. King we see the return of Tails and Brodie in the 2nd book in the Chasing Tails series. This series is a great example of Good Vs Evil, with Tails and Brodie being the good guys fighting against evil, in the form of Zeus. This is a very fast paced fantasy novel that is over all too quickly for me. I loved being reacquainted with Tails and Brodie and getting the next part of their story now that they have escaped from the evil Zeus and are bringing up their adopted children in a remote location to keep them safe. Much of this story is centred around 2 of their children, Eliza and George. Eliza is a typical teenager and hates being confined to their safe location so decides to run away. She soon realises that grass is not always greener on the other side as she puts herself and her family in great danger. George is approaching his teenage years and his body decided it’s time that he shifts for the first time, adding even more danger for the family. I loved Tails and Brodie even more in this book as they try to do everything to protect all their adopted children and at the same time, try to expand their family with children of their own. This book is not the end of the story and we are left with everyone in grave danger. Will Tails and Brodie be able to save the day? I can’t wait for the next book in this series to see what C.A. King has in store for Tails and Brodie and their children.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this sweet sweet story. O’Malley has written a sweet easy read. Characters that have depth, characters that grow in just a short amount of time. And a story that includes a dog “angel”! Definite win!
I liked the way this story flowed. We were introduced to June first, along with her passion for the animals at the shelter. She comes across a little clumsy and unsure of herself. Then we are introduced to Graham and Maxine and they are “—perfect.” Graham is a kind hearted man who seems a little unsure of his awesome-ness as well. These two seem like the perfect match, but there is also Maxine to worry about.
I really enjoyed this cute story and recommend it to readers of any age.
Hidden Tracks by Zoe Lee a four-star read that will be music to your ears. This is my first story by this author, and I can’t wait to read more, there is promise to the writing that will whisk you away. Astrid was complex and intriguing, she has lived a life and got the t-shirt (a band one maybe but still, they are the best). The natural flow of the novel gave great pace and didn’t feel rushed or like it dragged, the pacing was well done. The balance of Seth and Astrid again was well done and made me smile. This is a light story with great heart, but there were also serious moments that challenge you. Overall a great story.

I really didn’t know what to expect when I picked up Paul DeBlassie III’s Goddess of the Wild Thing. It stands out from other books I have read as a rich paranormal fantasy that draws on spiritual and psychological ideas to create a fascinating world and gripping story. DeBlassie’s descriptive writing particularly caught my attention, with the level of detail and vivid language used really painting a picture. At times, I felt this slowed down the progress of the story or made it hard to keep up, but at others it really painted a picture for me. The central characters are a group of four women – Eve, Shirley, Tanya and Samantha. It’s nice reading a book where the characters are a bit older and have experienced more in their lives. The characters are strong and not afraid to disagree with each other which leads to some interesting conflicts. Although it’s a story about love, it’s good to have such a focus on friendships that outlast the ups and downs of romantic affairs. For me, this is a four star book. I found it very interesting, and it was good to read something a bit different! I’d recommend it to fans of the paranormal who are after a book that will keep them on the edge of their seat.

I have so many thoughts after reading this author’s debut novel and I’m not sure how to put it all into words, so will try this:
What I loved – I opened this book prepared for confusion, because debut novels a lot of times do this to me as an author settles in to their comfort zone, but what I love is that the writing felt like I was sitting at a table with this author and she was literally talking to me and telling me this story. That was awesome!
I also loved that I dont choose this genre yet found myself not being able to put this book down.
I loved that the absolutely beautiful cover made me one click but the authors words kept me totally invested in this story and the characters.
Speaking of the characters, Xen was Awesome! I loved her inner dialogue and her strength throughout all that was changing in her life.
I loved how easy and smooth this book felt and I enjoyed every word while reading it in one sitting.
What I didnt love –

Yep that’s it …I can not recommend this book enough and I can not wait to read more from this author.

The story Evergreen by Mya O’Malley is a wonderful book to read. It has a storyline that kept my attention and characters that I fell in love with. The story pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about June and Graham. June is an intelligent, caring, and kind person. She has not had success in relationships, so she has decided to find a canine for a companion. Then she meets Graham. After Graham meets June, he finds that he can’t stop thinking of her. There is an attraction between them. I also loved reading about Maxine, the Great Dane, who plays a part in this story. Maxine is affectionate and loves to show that affection to June and Graham. Will Graham and June act on their feelings for each other? When complications arise will their relationship survive? What will the future bring for June and Graham? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has heartwarming scenes and also times of conflict. The book is well-written and touched my heart. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story. I highly recommend this book.

Hope by Seelie Kay is the fourth book in the Feisty Lawyers series.
I loved seeing Hope all grown up. She has been trained for the agency and so ready to conquer the world but gets slapped by her past and it wasn’t pretty.
I liked this book and the ending has me wondering what’s going to happen next. I did feel like something was missing, but can’t quite figure out what it is. I’m hoping that I find it in the next book.

A great read about protection. Xenobia Valdis is an alien being who helps young women out of situations and runs her own company. One day, a man comes into her house with a strange request to save his daughter. Xenobia agrees to help but events unravel and soon she has policemen at her door digging for the truth. Can she make sure her girls stay safe? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Xenobia determined but caring underneath or Matt with a gruff exterior but kind interior. Great cast of supporting characters like the supportive Maggie or the mysterious Javier However soemtimes it felr like there were too many girls and characters to keep track of which could have been reduced. . I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with Xenobias and her blue skin and black eyes making her otherworldly and fascinating and beautiful. Or with the cabin later on with the trees and the lake and the quiet for a sense of peace away from everything. Or the dreams with their sights and sounds so vivid it’s a sid you’re actually there. A great example of world building with fantatsical creatures living alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies. I liked Xenobias creature as was something different to the fantasy genre. The switch of perspectives worked well to display all the different sides of the story and was easy to follow with names in chapter titles. The only issue I would raise is that the book felt more centered on romance than the supernatural which may deter some readers. There were also some long sentences in places that were hard to read which could be resolved with a variety of sentence lengths. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

After a career as a librarian, she now writes novels and wrangles three sons and four cats at her home in rural Delaware, which she shares with her husband and the aforementioned creatures. I continue to thoroughly enjoy the collaboration between Kells and Wade. This latest series is jam packed with action, suspense, and romance, hitting all three in just the right amounts. This page turner is immediately engaging and drew me right in to the story. I couldn’t read it fast enough and didn’t dare put it down before finishing the last page. Excellent book from these two fantastic authors. I cannot wait to see how the series continues.
Stars Fall From the Sky is the 2nd book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. While it does follow Run to the Sea, it could be a stand alone book. The characters overlap, but this is a full story, with enough detail that you would still enjoy it. It is a beautiful story of second chances and finding love again after loss. The story follows Ginger McCormick after the loss of her high school sweetheart husband. If it weren’t for her newborn daughter, she probably wouldn’t even get out of bed in the morning. She slowly finds her way out of grief, and back into living her life. Much from the help of Jonathan Walden, the town doctor. He too is grieving the loss of his wife earlier in the year. They lean on each other to cope and mend their broken hearts. They hit it off straight away, and developed a quick friendship. But it seemed fate kept bringing them together. Perhaps each other are just what they need to move on and love again. Highly recommend this story. It was really sweet and I didn’t want to put it down. There is a shocker toward the end, but without giving it away, I’ll just say, I did NOT see that one coming!

Stalking the Stalker was a thrilling 5 star read and book two in the Valley View Mysteries series. I was pulled in right from the beginning with a murder in the prolugue. We then go back two weeks prior. We get drama, secrets, mystery, etc.
Tyler Channing comes to Valley View for a production, things take a twist when his stalker also shows up. An investigation starts when a body is discovered. I really loved the fact that it kept me guessing throughout the whole book on who the murdered could be. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story.
I was drawn in by Laura Hawks writing and I couldn’t stop until I was done. If your looking for a murder mystery that pulls you in this is the book for you. 1-click and get started today.
