The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is a great read. This set includes the first three books in the series. Famished by Meghan O’Flynn is the first book in the new Ash Park series. This book is not for the faint of heart. I had not read a serial killer book in awhile and this one crept under my skin and into my mind. The story is about Hannah Montgomery who has recently moved to the Ash Park neighborhood. She feels safe until things start to change. Her past starts to haunt her and terrify the entire neighborhood. This story has some twists and turns, graphic detail of the killings, and some good characters. The POV changes between characters and at times became a bit convoluted. At times I feel like this helped to add to the suspense and horror. Overall this was a good read and I will be looking for the next book in the series.
Conviction by Meghan O’Flynn is the second book in the Ash Park series. This focuses on District Attorney Shannon Taylor who is strong in her convictions. This book is hard to put down and this says a lot because many do not keep me on the edge of my seat. I was involved in all the twists and turns. The characters are well written and developed. I had read the first book and was taken in by the writing. This second book did not disappoint. I look forward to reading further in the series.
Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is the third book in the Ash Park Series. This story focuses on Curtis Morrison and him having to confront his past. He has a wonderful life as a police officer with a wife and child. Everything looks great for him until his past comes back to haunt him. He has to deal with these repressed memories or his wife and child might be lost to him forever at the hands of a sadistic person.
This is best read in order but can be read separately. The characters are so well developed from book to book and the stories are intertwined wonderfully. This is gory and scary at times and not for the weak of heart. I had to pause at moments to get away from the intensity but could not stay away for long. If you like suspense, mystery, and twists this is for you.
