Mountains Loved (Mountains Series #3) By Phoebe Alexander – Review by Cassi Rogers

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you haven’t read this or added this to your TBR pile, you definitely should be doing that RIGHT NOW! This is the second series that I have read from phoebe Alexander and I can say that she is quickly becoming one of my favorite romance authors. The way she writes is phenomenal and the emotion she packs into all of her books is just unbelievable. I was not disappointed in the least little bit while reading any of these books.
Mountains Wanted (book 1): The characters in this book were all so charming and precious. The chemistry between the different couples was remarkable. I felt like I truly knew them, as if they were my personal friends. Sarah is a very smart and open minded individual. I love the relationships that she develops throughout the book, especially her deep attachment to James. Throughout the struggles of their rocky start, I understood why Sarah would feel so connected to James while they were together and so distant while they were apart. It was fun watching their relationship grow. Sarah’s best friend, Rachel, is just a peach. She speaks her mind without a filter and I love it… she takes this book to a whole new level. She is witty, funny, and really balances Sarah out.
Mountains Climbed (book 2): The characters from the 1st book are still in this one as are some new characters. Of course, I love all of the original characters and I was thrilled to see they were still there. At this point I would say that Sarah and James have kind of tried to part ways, He is deployed overseas and is wanting to settle down with someone else. Meanwhile, Sarah is broken hearted and just trying to feel like a person again. While out trying to live her life, she meets a young man named Garett Stone. He is charming, good looking, and a great distraction from the pain in her life. I desperately wanted to like Garett… but he just made it so hard to do so. Sarah ended up being hurt… again. I wanted so much for her to be happy. The push and pull of the relationship that she and James share this slightly frustrating. However I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I understand both of their struggles, uncertainty, and desire. I feel as if they share a connection that many people don’t get to experience in life. I was over the moon reading the ending to this book!
Mountains Loved (book 3): This book is the continuation of the story about James and Sarah. From the very first page of book one I was absorbed in the love story with these two. I was thrilled that things finally worked out for them as a couple as I was fighting for them all along. Sarah finally has her happy ending. Or what she thought was her happy ending. However, marriage and adult life is sometimes not as simple as it seems to be. The happy couple struggles with many heart wrenching things, like fertility issues, trust issues, and the decision to open their relationship back up or not. I felt the heartache myself, as if it were me who was the one suffering through these terrible things. There were several times throughout this book I wanted to punch James directly in the face… but I knew Sarah, who is the voice of reason in the relationship, would get it all straightened out. I also felt sadness in my soul when there were points brought up about how quickly your children grow up. But I will say that every emotion I felt while on the roller coaster of reading this book was so worth the beautiful ending.

by Phoebe Alexander

I loved these books!! Reading James and Sarah’s story was emotional, entertaining, informative, fun and so many more adjectives that I can’t think of. We got introduced to them in the first book, Mountains Wanted and that’s when I became hooked. I became completely invested in these characters, they are so different from one another, I was anxious to see where it was headed. The next book, Mountains Climbed introduced us to new characters and also kept us wondering what was going to happen with James and Sarah. Although these two are so different in their relationship views, we found the heart wants what the heart wants, but is that enough? That is why I needed to read the third book Mountains Loved to find out. These books were so exceptionally written that I didn’t want to put them down. Phoebe Alexander is a wonderful writer and I can’t wait to read more books from her, I know I won’t be disappointed.  I highly recommend these books.

Mountains Loved (Mountains #3)Mountains Loved by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mountains Loved is the third book in the Mountains series written by Phoebe Alexander. As usual, I cannot say enough good things about this author and her style of writing… she is just phenomenal. Also, per usual, I will say that you need to read this series in the order that it was written. This is the continuation of the story about James and Sarah. From the very first page of book one I was absorbed in the love story with these two. I was thrilled that things finally worked out for them as a couple as I was fighting for them all along. Some of the things in this book were hard to read (regarding infertility issues and miscarriages) so it may not be suitable for everyone. I felt the heartache myself, as if it were me who was the one suffering through these terrible things. I also felt sadness in my soul when there were points brought up about how quickly your children grow up. But I will say that every emotion I felt while on the roller coaster of reading this book was so worth the beautiful ending. I will forever be a Phoebe fan and will seek to get my hands on anything that she has written.

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY: Flowers in December, Coming Home, Second Chance by Jane Suen – Review by Sheri Schrader

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGYFLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flowers in December Trilogy by Jane Suen contains the books Flowers in December, Coming Home, and Second Chance. This is a wonderful series and it is great to get it all in one set together. Flowers in December by Jane Suen is an honest, heartfelt story. Connor returns home after the death of his mother to get everything in order. He starts contemplating his life and the decisions he has made in his life. This hit home for me since I have lost a parent. There are a lot of steps that come with the loss of a close family member. As we age many of us question our decisions and where we are in life and this beautiful book caught all of that. I laughed and I teared up while reading. This book ran me through a range of emotions because of being honest and truthful.
Coming Home by Jane Suen is the sequel to Flowers in December. The story picks up with Connor returning to his childhood home for the holidays after the passing of his mother. I recommend reading the first book because it goes into the background and the characters before delving into this story. This is an emotional read and proves it is good to return home sometimes. Connor is great and I like that he is dealing with loss but also moving on with his life. Mary Ann, Dottie, and Alana are great also. I really like the story and that there were some twists to break away from the expected. The book is a quick read and relatively short but impactful.
Second Chance by Jane Suen is the third and final book in The Flowers in December Trilogy. This can be read as a standalone but I think it better enjoyed if read with the other two books. Connor and Mary Ann had parted ways but Connor is back in town. Will Mary Ann allow Connor back into her life. This is happily ever after but the two have to go over some obstacles to get there. This is a sweet small-town romance that will have you rooting for the couple to find their path together. I enjoyed the characters and the progression of their story over the course of the series.

IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3) Anthology – Review by Rachel Moss

IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3)IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I only read two stories out of this anthology, Irresistible Valentine, and they were Two Hearts’ Reconnaissance by Tamara Ferguson and The Player by Jacquie Biggar. I was completely blown away by Ferguson’s short story! It was very emotional and dramatic and left you wanting a lot more than what you got! It was very fast paced as well, and super sweet. The Player was amazing as well! I loved the drama, and the chemistry, and I even laughed a little as well! Both of these stories were extremely well written, with some very dramatic occurrences that I wasn’t expecting at all from a romance anthology. I highly recommend this, both stories I read were absolutely incredible!

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper

I loved everything about this book, there was much hidden chemistry there was between Sadie and Archer and how they had to hide their love for each other from her brother Sam. Sadie and Sam made a pact forever ago that they couldn’t date one another’s friends because they’re twins so its only fair. But her love for Archer was too strong and they couldn’t handle not being together anymore. This was such a great read; I recommend this to anyone who loves a good romance book. I can’t wait to see what else this author brings to us.

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. Once again I found myself completely hooked on one of these Lawson family Novels. Each one has been even better than the last. I’ll be honest though I think this one may be my favorite one. I just felt this strong connection with these characters , I felt like I knew them and found myself completely drawn into their world. Ben and Danielle each have a story of their own that brings them to each other eventually and I loved these characters together they just click. The author takes pride in even the smallest details and it shows on every single page. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. This story with not only be an enjoyable read it may just hit you right in the feels. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 9) by Tamara Ferguson. These books just keep getting better and this author definitely knows how to pull me in each and every time. I alway know going in I’m in for quite the ride and I’m never disappointed. From the emotions, action and edge of my seat moments I loved every minute of it. The characters are complex and relatable and so well detailed you can picture them immediately. In fact the entire story comes to life right before your eyes, and I tend to forget I’m reading a book. I love characters that have a background that gives me all the feelings and this author gives me just that and so much more. As always this story was well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I simply couldn’t put it down and was definitely up way past my bedtime. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Mountains Loved (Mountains Series #3) By Phoebe Alexander – Review by Shani Kenny

Mountains Loved (Mountains #3)Mountains Loved by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sarah and James have finally come back together, but it’s not without issues. They have fought hard to get to a point where they can be together openly and without judgment from each other. With both of them dealing with internal battles, it doesn’t help that they’re dealing with outside influences that threaten to break them apart for good. With every challenge they face, the emotional toll gets higher and higher.

This book has so many intense moments that made me want to scream and yell at them both! When things are good for them their love is so beautiful, its what love should be. But with all that good, there was so much more hurt than the two previous books in my opinion. Their journey is beautiful, heartbreaking, and downright hot. It’s hard not to feel a deep connection to these characters thanks to the way the author celebrated her muse and wrote an amazing story. I can’t wait to see who will get their own book next!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you are craving a good romantic novel to escape from the real world, pick up this book now!

2AM Secrets is a book that grabbed my attention from the first page or two, the main characters Archer and Sadie are complex and have a depth to them that I feel characters can lack in romance books so I loved following their steamy relationship full of desire and forbidden passion. M. Piper has a way of setting the scene quite intensely so its easy to get lost in her words. The background plot was a great way of helping to make the story very believable and relatable. I think a good way of knowing if a book is great is asking yourself if you would read it again and I will read this again.

What a way to end Sarah & James’s story. These three books have been captivating from start to finish, and this book is no different. Once again we follow these characters on an emotional rollercoaster. They once again face many obstacles that keep getting in their way of a HEA, but you can’t help but hope they don’t give up the fight to get their HEA. Phoebe Alexander creates characters that are real, have amazing chemistry and connection and really help you feel as though you are there in the story and really bring it to life. This has been an incredible series to really get drawn into, I have thoroughly enjoyed and loved the characters and storylines! I highly recommend this read!

I have been really looking forward to reading the next book in this series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly – I absolutely love her books and as expected this one was another hit with me! In all honesty who doesn’t love to read about an arrogant rocker! I know I do – it usually makes me love them all the more when they do something surprising! Benjamin was always going to work for me from the moment I read the blurb for the story I knew I would love him and I did! I didn’t want to but I couldn’t help it! I loved the slow burn feel to the story and in my opinion was perfect for the characters and everything they had going on in their lives!
As always this was a wonderfully written story that captured my attention from the very beginning and held it all the way through! I look forward to more from this author in the future!

This is my first read by this author and I loved it!!! I adore the off limits kind of stories, and the brothers best friend is one of my favorites.

This was an awesome book, it pulled at every emotion I had and these characters..every one of them, I fell head over heels for them. This was a unique story with a perfect story flow and the ending.. ** sigh ** Now I’m hoping Sam gets to tell his story in his own book..

I will absolutely be looking up more of this authors books, not sure why I haven’t already read them but that will be remedied soon.

Awesome Loved it!!

5 stars is all I could give for this box set – each story in it, Mountains Wanted, Mountains Climbed and Mountains Loved were all absolutely amazing reads – I loved every single minute of them. The feeling the author pours into her writing is wonderful, her books are just a true pleasure to read.

Book 1 – Mountains Wanted
In the story we meet Dr Sarah Lynde. A sociology professor, single mom and open-minded sexual adventurer! She doesn’t want a relationship – that is until she meets Army First Sergeant James McAllister, a handsome and intelligent ROTC instructor.
I loved the connection between Sarah and James. There wasn’t just the initial attraction between them but they also connected on an intellectual level. Sarah opened James’ eyes to a new way of approaching relationships. Sarah and James’ story will pull you into another world and will definitely leave you wanting more!
There wasn’t one character in this story that I didn’t enjoy – they all brought something different to the story. I loved the different relationships that Sarah had and could see that she got different things from each person. I loved the friendship between her and Rachel. They were the epitome of best friends!

Book 2 – Mountains Climbed
In this story I again was completely immersed into Sarah and James’ story! There’s turmoil for James as he tries to decide what he wants but there is still that ever present passion between him and Sarah. James’ thoughts and feelings really came through in this book and I could feel him inner turmoil as a reader. The author does an amazing job at conveying the feelings of her characters through to the reader with her wonderful writing.

Book 3 – Mountains Loved
I love the characters Sarah and James! Their story has been so up and down with a whole host of things along the way so I was really looking forward to seeing what was going to happen next for them. I’m not quite sure I’ve gotten off the emotional rollercoaster that Ms Alexander had me on during this story! I laughed, I cried and I shouted (mainly at James!) at the book many times whilst I was reading it! I have been rooting for Sarah and James since they very first met and I have really taken them both into my heart! My heart really ached for Sarah in this story though; it wasn’t what I was expecting at all! The author writes her books in such a way that they really do feel real at times, I can visualise the settings, the characters and their feelings whilst I am reading.

OMG what an emotional read this was! My final words were, in order, “omg yay!” and “is there going to be a second book about Sam?”
This is one.of if not the top favorite trope of mine in romance books. The brothers best friend and while there are many, this one was on a whole other level. We aren’t teased with the build up it was hot from beginning to end, but real life is also woven into this story and done so well. You could feel the emotions and intensity of everything pouring off the pages.
I love Sadie and her strength. And while she doesn’t ask for it she takes the strength Archer gives to her well and they were perfect. I cried, I laughed and i wanted to beat a character a time or two but its all needed for this story to be the amazing work it is.

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

2am Secrets by M. Piper is the first book that I have read by this author and judging by how much I enjoyed this one, it won’t be the last. I’m always pensive about trying a new author but I needn’t have worried as I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Sadie Richards and her twin brother Sam lost their parents at a young age and have been brought up by their grandmother, who is now in ill health. Sam’s best friend Archer Crowe was also instrumental in getting Sam through his parent’s death.
For years there has been a fire simmering between Sadie and Archer, who finally decides one New Year that he’s had enough of waiting and makes a move on Sadie. Sadie would like nothing better than having a relationship with archer but knows that her brother would be livid and they don’t want to upset him as he’s struggling to cope with their grandmother’s ill health. I must add that their grandmother Mimi is the most amazing character. Nothing gets past this woman and she’s just wonderful.
This is a fantastic story filled with love romance and a good deal of angst. Both Sadie and Archer are desperate to be together but don’t want to rock the boat. Can they be together and have a HEA? Will Sam freak out when he finds out about their relationship? I really suggest that you read this book and find out?

While I’m not a newbie to this incredible author i highly recommend newbies to give this box set a chance because you won’t regret it. This is the 3rd book following Sarah and James story.

Finally together and settled into married life they are both happy and content, but things in their lives are changing.

Sarah’s children are growing fast and are mostly independent so is now the time for the pitter patter of tiny feet again?

They have many things to overcome together from parenting Sarah’s children, trying for their own, dealing with loss and deciding whether their relationship should be open or closed means this book is definately a page turner.

Mountains Series Boxed Set:(Books 1-3) By Phoebe Alexander – Review by Karyn Taylor

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mountains Box Set contains books 1-3 of the Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander. Books 1-3 contain the 3 full length novels which makes up James and Sarah’s story: Mountains Wanted, Mountains Climbed and Mountains Loved. The remaining books in the series are standalone novels which can be read in any order.
Sarah Lynde is a sociology professor in her 30’s. She’s a polyamorous mother of 2 children. When giving a talk on homosexuality in the military she meets the very gorgeous Sergeant James McAllister. James is in his late 20’s and is looking for a soulmate to settle down with and start a family, so surely Sarah is just a diversion.
These 3 books take us through James and Sarah’s story from their first meeting, through love and laughter, pain and heartbreak and a lot of very hot and steamy sex. Phoebe Alexander sure knows how to write a hot sex scene and this talent is put to great use throughout the 3 books and it’s not always restricted to just M/F sex. She likes to add more people to the party which makes for fun reading.
James and Sarah’s story is far from plain sailing. There are so many trips and stumbles on the way but no matter what happens and who they are with, both just can’t help but want each other. These books are very angst-filled and there are many times that you just want to slap James and Sarah’s heads together to get them to see sense.
I already was a huge fan of Phoebe Alexander’s writing before I read this series and now I’m an even bigger fan. 100% recommend this box set to other readers.

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Time doesn’t heal all wounds. Love does”.
The Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander consists of three books, Mountains Wanted, Mountains Climbed and Mountains Loved featuring Sociology Professor Dr. Sarah Lynde and Lt. James McAllister. The series follows their relationship from their first meeting at a ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Panel event’ where Sarah is a speaker and James is in the audience, and the books tell their relationship saga. Sarah is a single Mum of two and James is about to be deployed when they first meet and start a ‘friends with benefits’ type relationship. The chemistry between the couple sizzles off the page and the box set is recommended for 18+ due to the steamy sex scenes. The couple have a very rocky relationship and encounter many obstacles but they do enter into a non conventional polyamorous relationship.
This is a well written series, full of drama, romance, steamy sex scenes and great characters with amazing chemistry. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it and I fell in love with the very realistic characters, James and Sarah. As well as the main characters there is a host of great secondary characters all of which are fascinating in their own right. I liked how the author had the couple in a non conventional relationship and that Sarah was the more sexually aware of the two. It was an original and unpredictable read full of emotional ups and downs. I loved how Sarah and James relationship changed and developed over the course of the 3 books and how despite many problems they always came back together stronger than before.
I was hooked from page one of the first book and was pleased that all three books were in the box set so I could continue reading Sarah and James story from start to finish. I definitely recommend this contemporary romance series by Phoebe Alexander.

Wow! This is eye opening. I am almost speechless about what to write. The story just really…really makes you think. I was sickened as well as freaked out on numerous occasions. Then something would happen that would make me laugh. Usually it’s a crazy Petrosky comment or action. Even Jackson a couple times a some good zingers.

This isn’t my first story by this author. Ed is getting back into being Detective, sleuthing
and annoying suspects. I love his go getter take no crap attitude. Jackson smoothes out his rough edges. Morrison is tough to replace but Jackson is getting there.

This is a great thrill ride. One that will shock and surprise you.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this forbidden romance story, Sadie and Archer have sizzling chemistry but Sadie’s overprotective twin brother Sam is also Archers best friend and the two have kept their attraction to each other to themselves for years. Having stopped fighting their attraction and chemistry during a New Years Eve party and spending the night together the two then can’t deny that they have something special and that it was more than a one night stand. However keeping it a secret from everyone so as not to hurt Sam, who seems to be on self destruct, puts a strain on their new relationship and once their secret is out, can any of them survive the fall out.
This was a forbidden romance but with enough twists in the storyline to keep it unpredictable and it also touched on sensitive issues such as bereavement, ill health and addiction. The characters which I fell in love with are likeable and realistic and I was fully immersed in their world whilst reading the book. This book was full of drama, romance, steamy sex scenes and took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it. I was cheering Sadie and Archer on, wanting them to have their HEA. I could not put this book down and I’m looking forward to reading more books by M.Piper.

M. Piper is a new author to me and I jumped into the book without blinders on. There comes a point in people’s lives that no one wants to admit. There is an attraction to your sibling’s best friend. You try to ignore it because you do not want to hurt their relationship, but on the inside you want that person. That is the kind of love 2AM Secrets is about. Sadie and Sam are twins and they promised each other no relationships with the other’s friends. They were off limits. That was until Sadie started to have feelings for Archer (who happens to be Sam’s best friend). Both tried to stay away from each other, but the attraction was strong. Will Sadie and Archer give in to the attraction? Will they be able to keep the secret from Sam? You will have to read this story to find out this information and more.

Sam and Ben have crazy chemistry and I love how they work through their issues. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance #9)Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read from Tamara Ferguson’s Two hearts series, I can’t wait to go back and read the rest.
The story starts with Samantha, who is on a mission that soon goes wrong. After her captain is killed Sam was now in charge, after her and her team fight back Sam is badly injured. Ben Nash witnesses an explosion and when they come to help he finds and rescues Sam, but he is also injured in the process.
Two years later they are reunited in unlikely circumstances, and the story follows the pair as they become closer and look to be finding their happy ever after ending. But the past catches up to them and they find themselves in danger once again.
A must read, I loved it. The characters are so easy to like and I love how Ben breaks through Sam’s initially frost persona. Despite being part of a well established series, this can definitely be read as a stand-alone book. Once I got started reading I found this book hard to put down.

Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is book three of the Lawson Family series. This book similar to the other books in the series, grabbed my attention from the beginning and didn’t let go. The book is so well written you feel like you really know the characters. Their struggles become your struggles and you can’t help but want them to work through their issues.

Ben knows Danielle might be his only chance to get his act together as much as he doesn’t want a babysitter. Danielle needs this job if she has any hope of paying her family’s debt. Can Ben and Danielle help each other?

2am Secrets by M. Piper – Review by Katie Kearney

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

2AM Secrets by M. Piper. How is this the first I’ve read by this author?? This book was incredible and I can’t wait to see what else this amazing author has to offer now that I’ve found her. From the description I knew I’d like this story but “like” doesn’t even come close to how I ended up feeling about this story. Try Loved!! The characters had me completely hooked from start to finish. I’m a sucker for a a forbidden type story it’s just right in my eyes. And this author writes forbidden so very well. I simply couldn’t put this book down no matter how much little sleep I got. The connection between the characters jumps off the pages and at times I forgot I was reading. My emotions were definitely all over but I loved every minute of it. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended!!

Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7)) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Kerry Baker

Imposter (Ash Park, #7)Imposter by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Imposter by Meghan O’Flynn is the seventh book in the Ash Park series. These books are best read in order as the characters are recurring and you get the development over the course of the series.
This book has to be my favourite one in this series so far! It was exciting and intense. I found myself desperate to find out what was going on – did the family know something? Was it the kidnappers from previous? Was it something else entirely that I didn’t see coming?
I was hooked on this book from the minute I started reading and I didn’t out it down until I had finished. This was an amazing book and this series is easily one of my favourites!
