This story was sweet and sexy. I was addicted to this book and could not put it down. Alex comes into a bit of a predicament and her childhood friend Max offers to help her out, and by helping her out I mean be with her. This proposal is just convenient because it helps Max’s political image and helps Alex take care of her situation, but you can tell Max wants to be with Alex and thinks he just isn’t good enough for her. Alex I think, in my opinion, likes Max but is very leary because of his playboy ways and his past. Watching their relationship unfurl and the issues they face together is beautiful. The characters are wonderfully written, and I really enjoyed the concept of the story. I look forward to more from this author.
