Her Blackened Soul (The Blackened Series Book 1) by Isra Sravenheart This is my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. Its a very dark, mysterious book. A different take on fairytale stories where the villain is the main character. Lady Isra is a very powerful witch with a black heart but she also has depth to her. Due to past relationships she has major trust issues and maybe even anger issues. Isra hates humans because they have feelings and she especially hates anyone weak. When Kane approaches her for help she offers it but in has conditions. Will she end up killing him? When the humans send her on a trip she meets Lillian, Kane’s fiance and Lillian may change Isra’s opinion of some humans. Astrid is Isra’s closest friend and he is her eyes and ears to protect her. What will Isra do to Astrid? Will she let her live or will Isra have a change of heart? This book was so vividly descriptive that I felt like I was in the forest with them.
