Accountability (Scope of Practice Book 3) by Jessica Aiken-Hall is a mystery crime story that is full of suspense and intrigue. You have to read the other two books in this series or you are missing part of the overall experience. Jessica has done a great job of building the suspense which keeps your senses heightened waiting for the shoe to drop. Everything we know will be just as tested as our MC as the past and present collide.

Road Tripped: Satan’s Devils MC Utah #1 by Manda Mellett is WOW, another wonderful addition to the Satan’s Devils MC’s many series. It is action packed, fast paced and full of suspense. But it doesn’t stop there, Manda has once again taken us through our paces and given us something a little different from the norm with this series and has out done herself. Lies and secrets, drama and tense moments and many, many moments where you think WTF! Expect the unexpected and more twist and turns than a ride through mountains on the back of a bike. You go girl!

All I want is one last summer of fun with my best friend, Toby.
Blue Oaks Theme Park seems like a perfect place to work while blowing off some steam. It’s our last summer before university and we want to make every day count. The thing I didn’t consider was being attracted to my new boss.
But it’s just one summer. One quick fling. What harm can it do?
Bear
Returning home is something I can’t avoid. My dad wants me to start getting serious about my future, while I want to spend the summer teaching kids skateboarding.
As always, he gets his own way, but when a cute brunette – literally – knocks me off my feet, I’m finding the theme park interesting in a whole new way.
A summer romance. Totally insubstantial. I can handle that. Right?
Two people brought together by chance. Both finding something they don’t know they need. A sweet romance about finding a home in the heart.
Danielle lives in Yorkshire, England, with her husband, daughter, and tortoise. She enjoys reading, long walks, and crafting. Her dreams include writing stories, visiting magical places, and staying young at heart. The people who know her describe her as someone who has her head in the clouds and her mind in a book.
Four years into Akhenaten’s new regime, the dissatisfaction of those who practiced the old religion of Amen-Ra is growing. Hani, a diplomat already under the king’s surveillance because of the disappearance of his firebrand Amen priest brother-in-law, gets drawn into an investigation for the Beloved Royal Wife, who is being blackmailed. Meanwhile, the new vassal king of A’amu, lodged at Hani’s house until the king grants him an audience, is showing himself to be none too loyal. Hani must walk the line between his oath to the king and his conscience.
N.L. Holmes is the pen name of a professional archaeologist who received her doctorate from Bryn Mawr College. She has excavated in Greece and in Israel, and taught ancient history and humanities at the university level for many years. She has always had a passion for books, and in childhood, she and her cousin (also a writer today) used to write stories for fun.
Today, since their son is grown, she lives with her husband, three cats and a dog. They split their time between Florida and northern France, where she gardens, weaves, plays the violin, dances, and occasionally drives a jog-cart. And reads, of course.

Rookie Moves is part of Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle Universe.
Rookies are supposed to be nobody’s. They aren’t supposed to play much. They aren’t supposed to attract attention. They definitely aren’t supposed to be getting in trouble. But when Grant Toolson joins the famed Seattle Professional Football team, he’s already made a name for himself, on the field and off.
When the team decides he needs to clean up his more than a little rough-around-the-edges image, in steps Emily Masterson, the prim and proper daughter of Seattle’s Mayor with a planned meeting.
Only, she’s not as prim and proper as everyone thinks. Not with Grant and not when it comes to what she wants.
Is his image cleaned up and does the relationship work out after hearing hushed conversations?
I am a contemporary romance author who is all about the feels, with the twists of sexy mixed in between. I have been writing since before I can remember.Writing has always been a passion, that was kept it under wraps, stayed on the back-burner and never vocalized or followed through with my desire to be a writer, until I read a horrible book and thought: ‘I could do better than that!’
I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but living in beautiful San Diego with my little family while working during the day as a social worker working with the homeless.
My writing style is that I try to write realistic characters and situations. I want my books to be relatable and not to create too many eye rolls.
Thematically, the novels are friends to lovers, random hook-ups and office romances mixed with a whole lot of fun in the middle.

I enjoyed this book. This is a young adult story that is well written with characters that are connectable and bring the story alive. This is a story about a young girl named Alina who lives in Pria where everyone is immortal but her. But things may not be as they appear. Things may not be as perfect as all want them to be. She really just wants to fit in some place. As she searches for the courage and freedom she longs for she may just uncover some dark past. Will she find what she is searching for before it is too late? This is a little different story but I really enjoyed it. The more I read the more I really liked Alina and felt for her. She made such a great character and made the story easy to read. I highly recommend this book.
This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. One thing I enjoy about this author is her ability to pull me into the story with ease. Her story is easy to read and entertaining. This book is no different. This is a shorter story that is part of a series which I highly suggest reading all of. This author’s attention to details made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. I had no issues connecting to them and really enjoyed the journey they brought. They bring lots of action, mystery and suspense. Al black markets body parts and Loyda is an investigator and is willing to do anything to capture her culprits. What will happen when she finds herself begin accused of murder and only one person can help her prove her innocence? They are such great, strong characters that made the story for me and kept me turning pages. This is a fast paced, easy story to read which I highly recommend.

This is a well written story that has details that makes you feel as if I was right there with the characters. I had no problems connecting with the characters as they brought the story to life. This is a story about two people who cross paths as they are in search of themselves. Will they find more than themselves in their search? They are such great characters who made the story easy to read. It is an engaging, fast paced story that kept me turning pages to the end. I enjoy being pulled into the story from the beginning and watching the growth. I highly recommend this book.

True Bastard is the 4th book in the Dark Sparrow Series by India Kells. I have been a huge fan of India Kells’ work for some time and have loved the previous books in the Dark Sparrow Series. Reading the synopsis of this book, I just knew that I was going to love this one and I’m glad to say that I absolutely loved it. In this book it’s the turn of Liam Harker, the police officer brother to have his story told. When I found out that Liam’s leading lady Catriona Walsh was a nun, I could not wait to see how his story turned out. Like all of the other books in this series, this book pulled me in from the very beginning and took me on an amazing roller coaster journey filled with drama, intrigue, danger and romance that I could not put down. Liam and Catriona are both amazing characters that I could read for hours and hours. I loved them both as individuals and also loved reading the two of them together. The sexual tension between the two of them is off the charts smoking HOT and makes for very entertaining reading. I also loved that we got to catch up with the rest of the ‘bastard’ brothers and their better halves and see how they are getting on. The very end gives you a little taster as to the next story in the series and I really can’t wait to read Sam’s story and see him get his well-deserved HEA.

Secure Again is the second book in the Chase Security series by R.L Dunn. I loved the first book in this series and this book did not disappoint! When the brother of Chase Security CEO Martin Bailey is critically injured in the line of duty, Martin has to return to his childhood home. Dr Elizabeth Reed, Martin’s former love, is tasks with saving his brothers life and the two are forced to reconnect. It soon become apparent that Martin’s recent investigation is connected to his brothers injuries and Elizabeth has had suspicions in the past that everything in her small town is not as it should be, especially concerning the local prison. This book is brilliant, it is so exciting from start to finish and you never know what is going to happen next. I am definitely a fan of this series and cannot wait for book 3.

This was a great mystery story, that kept you gripped. It is set in a small town and really captures the essence of that with all the locals gossiping and reporting to the police.
There is a new arrival to The Sisters and her arrival causes a bit of a stir. Rose is the new person in town. She seems nice enough but can looks be deceiving?
When Brash the local police officer gets numerous calls regarding a supposed dead body wrapped in a carpet he goes to investigate. Finding nothing that leads him to believe that’s true he moves on putting it down to the residents imaginations.
That is until his wife finds a dead body. Does this mean that all the residents where right in what they saw? Could the dead body really have left Rose’s house wrapped in a rug? Who is Rose and why has she moved to The Sisters. With so many questions and not a lot of answer Brash involves his wife and her friends as undercover sleuths to find out what really went on behind the closed doors.

These two are just a wonderful story. Their story is filled with angst, shining love and happiness. Each of these characters really struggled and tried to hang onto their faith in each other. Reid is the sweetest and kindest guy…I would never peg him for a rockstar. The things he says and Wait…..HOW he says them…just make my heart flutter. Did I mention he is Scottish?!? I didn’t? Well that makes all the difference! I seriously think this guy can do no wrong. Nicky Sinclair has the love and support of her family. She built a wonderful business. Has wonderful friends (yes Amber I am talking about you).
Overall this is a lovely story that will make your heart sing and your stomach clench. I love reading this author. She makes these characters come to life.

Rose of Anzio-Moonlight is the first book in the Rose of Anzio seriesby Alexa Kang. This is my first read from Ms. Kang- and I am happy to say that after reading this fabulous story, it won’t be my last. I have to be honest though, as I wasn’t sure I was going to even like this story when I first started it- but after a few chapters I was definitely hooked and ended up reading it in one sitting. This is a superb coming of age historical story, set during WWII- it’s a captivating period piece with plenty of drama, self-discovery, politics, history, and romance. Fearing for Tessa Graham’s safety as war closes in, her family sends her (from England) to stay in Chicago. There, she is thrust into the unfamiliar world of wealth and privilege- but soon discovers that there is another side to this new society. With music and dancing, romance and coming of age, politics and choices, all interwoven within a social snapshot of the times- makes this quite a captivating read. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Accountability is the third book in the Scope of Practice series. You need to read the previous two books in order to get the full impact of this story.
Even though I had parts of the mystery figured out before the end, I enjoyed the suspense of this story. In Accountability, you finally get some answers about Norma. I can’t say too much more about it because any details could take away from the reading experience. There was one piece that totally took me by surprise and that added to the depth of the story.
This is definitely a book that will keep you turning the pages!

I loved this series from the first story to this one, Val is a independent, strong female character who when she puts her mind to something plows straight through to achieve the goal. The story has weaved through the three books and has held your imagination with each one. I love the characters and how they compliment each other.

This is my second book by Lisa wood. I’ve read book 1 of this series. I feel like you have to read the first book to read the second, but I like to read in order so I’d recommend it. This is a MMF/MM/MF. Ava, Thomas and Hunter were destined for a life together. Then in college something happened to tear them apart. Will they be able to build a life again or will that not be an option for these 3? This was a great book and just as I’ve expected from Lisa the characters were well written with such depth it’s like they were people in your life.

On With The Butter! Spread More Living onto Everyday Life by Heidi Herman Five Stars
On With The Butter is an inspirational / self help bookby Heidi Herman. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Herman, but I’m going to be checking a few more out in the near future.
This book actually got me thinking and may change my life, if I can stick to some of Ms. Herman’s philosophies. Last year, I was diagnosed with cancer. I went through the treatment and am now cancer free for about nine months. However, the treatments weren’t so friendly with my body. I was thinking a lot this past month about being fifty three years old and unable to move around like I used to even two years ago. My life consists mostly of working 10-12 hour days coming home watching tv and sleeping. With the pandemic, my husband and I don’t even go out to dinner anymore. I was thinking the other day, I need to make so e changes, and reading this book gave me some great ideas. I’m not an outdoor person, but the hobbies and book club ideas sound wonderful. Trying something new sounds like a breath of fresh air.
Thank you Ms. Herman for giving me all of these new ideas to enhance my life. I’m ready to change my focus from all work and no play to finding things I enjoy and indulging myself. Life is too short to continually be weighed down by the daily grind. I look forward to putting some of you lists to good use. This is an excellent guide to make a happier me. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.

Shattered: Rhodes Family Book 1 by Lisa Wood is an erotica romance story and there is plenty going on with in this quick read, with drama and secrets, feelings and emotions. There is a lot of hot and steamy and oh so sexy romance. Lisa’s writing style makes it easy to read and pulls at you. The story is fast paced putting aside some editing issues. The characters were likeable and the chemistry between the two were intense from the moment they saw each other. The book was predictable at times but a good read non the less.

Distant Heart Sounds By Kate MacInnis is a Paranormal Rom-Com. This book had me laughing out loud numerous times. It’s a feel good book and you will not want to put it down once you start, I certainly didn’t. Kate MacInnis is a fantastic author knowing how to get the reader gripped from start to finish is a tough fete, but she does just that. I can’t wait to read more from her and have added her to my favourites list. You will love this book I urge you to give this a try.

Rose by Any Other Name (The Sisters, Texas Mystery Series, Book 10) by Becki Willis is an intriguing cozy murder mystery that has everything to make it a story not to be missed. With mystery and suspense, murder and fear, lies and secrets. It is another great story in the series and can be read as a stand-alone. This is a wonderfully written story and Becki has managed to weave it all together to give us something that is engaging and is a page turner. The wonderful characters are real, flawed and all and will win your heart.

Road Tripped by Amanda Mellett is book one of the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series.
Road is in a bad place. While he remains part of the club, an incident has lead him to not be able to compete anymore. He needs to get out of his head and get some distance. Drummer has the perfect idea. His gut is telling him something is off with the chapter in Utah. While they show up when they are needed and support the other chapters, something just doesn’t seem right. Needing to get Road some distance from Tucson, Drummer sends him to Utah. Road knows he is guaranteed a welcome due to being part of the same club but he never could have anticipated the things he would encounter. Everything is so unexpected and Road can’t even keep Drummer updated because his phone was taken! Road is essentially on his own and has to figure out what comes next!
There are so many twists and turns in this book. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Each book in the Satan’s Devils MC series adds a new layer while bringing back characters from previous books and chapters. While you don’t need to read all the other books to appreciate this book, why pass up on all the great reading!!
