THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3) by Tamara Ferguson
4 out of 5 stars
The fabulous Tamara Ferguson never fails to deliver an amazing story with complex characters, a well-developed storyline, and an overall tale that has your heart crying for more. The third book in the Kissed by Fate series, That Incredible Kiss, is another notch in her belt.
Ashley and Brian and two amazing leads who snag your heartstrings the minute you meet them. Ashley took a bit to grown into, but knowing how Ferguson writes, I knew that this character’s development was worth waiting for. Brian is a war veteran who is both damaged and traumatized. These two characters meeting again, after years apart is a balm for the soul and the heart. Add in a twisted mystery, a spooky cave or two, and a house with more secrets than the government, and you have a top-notch story.
I loved every minute of this book. This book is great for lovers of romance, suspense, thriller, and mystery genres. 4 out of 5 stars.

IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a lovely collection of romance stories from different authors. Each author has a unique way of telling their stories and their characters are well written and easy to fall in love with.

One of my favourites is Two Hearts Truce by Tamara Ferguson. It follows the story of Jeff and Amanda. Brought into each others lives by Amanda’s brother Jeremy, Jeff and Amanda fight and bicker like cat and dog. In the past after a small time together they separated which left Amanda heartbroken and unable to trust Jeff.

With secrets she kept hidden for all these years can she now finally trust Jeff enough to reveal them? Can they both work around their past and make amends and work towards a future or is it a case of two much time has passed? Can love last the test of time and still remain strong?

It was a captivating story and definately a roller coaster of emotions.

Hero High:: Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High Collections Book 2) by Mina Chara

Chara has done it again! Hero High is an amazing series and I hope there’s more. If I could give this more than 5 stars then I would. If you like Fantasy this is the book for you.

Friday, Fitz, is left with the fact that Ashley is no longer at Hero High. Then things change. Villains aren’t villains? Things aren’t what they seem. The quote I chose for Friday is: “And how’s that supposed to work? That’s not a conclusion! Fine me all you want, I’m not finishing your show!”

Ashley, Dr. Dangerous, is moved to the villain school. His mother is back in the picture, but she’s not exactly what you can call nice. His mother starts controlling people including him. The quote I chose for Ashley is: “Even if I wanted to help, Friday, I can’t. I’m surprised you’re even talking to me.”

Highly recommended for Fantasy lovers.

Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High Collections Book 2) by Mina Chara – Review by Sheri Schrader

Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High, #4)Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara is the second collection of this great series. This collection contains books 4- Depression, 5- Acceptance, and 6- Hero. You must read the first three books in the series first because each book is a continuation, and they all build on each other. Friday Fitzsimmons is a wonderful, realistic character. She has grown so much since the first book in the series. I love that her life hasn’t been easy, and she is often faced with tough decisions to make which have consequences. Imagine finding out you have special powers as a teen and that you are meant to be a hero or a villain. As if the teen years are not difficult enough. This is a fun, exciting series that is well thought out and not the same old story rehashed. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Hero High: Figure In The Flames (HERO HIGH Collections Book 1) by Mina Chara

This is the first book I’ve read like this. Chara knows how to write a damn good book. Hero High is an amazing book with many twists and turns. It’s a highly recommended book!

Friday, aka Fitz, isn’t anyone special. Or so she thinks. She goes to Hero High with her friend, but it turns out she doesn’t know him all that well. She finds it hard to fit in. The quote I chose for Friday is: “Because I could be a better person. I will be a better person.”

Ashley, The Captain’s mentee, isn’t who everyone thinks he is. He’s the new Dr. Dangerous, but is he bad? All he wants is to get revenge for his father, but Fitz keeps getting in the way. The quote I chose for Ashley is: “Eat your soup, Fitz.”

I do highly recommend this for anyone and everyone!

I loved the way Davisson wrote this book which clings to your heart as we meet Lori, single mom of a young daughter. The vivid details of her attack, what’s going on as to why she’s hiding her truth will grip your heart. I loved the story, the environment and of course the detective work from Logan who will always prevail in her sights of justice.

Rock Star on the Verge (Rogue Series Book 9) by Lara Ward Cosio

I have read every single book in this series and loved each and every one of them. I think this book is now my favorite and I hope to see more books in the future even if it’s the next generation.

First we get to see a grown up Donal grow up a bit more on his journey with Conor. Donal learns more about himself as a person and a musician. As well as learning more his Uncle Conor and developing a deeper relationship with him.

Then we get to see a side of Conor that rarely if ever comes out. He is going through a lot and needs to sort out.

I loved the rawness in Conor and watching Donal figure stuff out. They both get to view things from a different perspective and help one another more than either one would have ever thought.

I truly hope this is not the end of this series. I love each and every member of Rouge and I’m not ready to say bye.

THE PATIENCE OF KARMA (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery #5) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Rosanna Ingram

The Patience of KarmaThe Patience of Karma by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the fifth book in the series that I have read and I continue to find myself being pulled into Madeline’s world with each new book. This book can be read as a standalone…as any references to prior books is pretty well explained. However, I recommend reading the entire series because it is just that good! Plus, having their back story takes the story to another level.

But…back to this book. Mike and Madeline each have their own cases they are working on. Mike is tasked with finding a man that was previously presumed dead in hopes that he will be able to help save a young woman’s life. Madeline is watching a composer’s wife for proof of cheating. However, a huge wrench is thrown into the case when the wife comes up missing. To add more drama on top of everything, someone from Mike’s past shows up with information that could change his (and Madeline’s) world forever. Can they find the truth in each of these cases before it’s too late?

These books just keep getting better. Every book, as their story continues to grow, is better than the last. Madeline, as a character, has really come into her own and become a strong woman to be reckoned with. I love this series and recommend it to anyone who loves a good mystery!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Secure Heart by R.L. Dunn is the third book in the Chase Security series, even though you can read this as a standalone, I would recommend reading the whole series. This was another great addition to this series, and I swear the more I read from this author the more I fall in love with her books and writing style. Holly and Julian are the characters in this story and boy are they an amazing combination with the connection and chemistry. The book is written amazing where it just flows and the storyline is strong. I had trouble putting this book down for the simple fact I got lost in its world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This is the 5th book in this series. As always this caught me from the start of the book. Pi Mike and Madeline are on another case this time a missing family member in order to save a life. Someone who doesn’t want to be found. The story flows very nicely and you feel as if you are there with Mike and Madeline seeing everything through their eyes.

Kickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks – Review by Karyn Taylor

Kickflip SummerKickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kickflip Summer is a sweet romance novel from Danielle Jacks. I had never read any of this author’s work before so I was unsure what to expect. What I got was an enjoyable read with characters that I really liked and could relate to.
Kara has just finished school and is looking for a summer of fun with best friend Toby before heading off to college. What she doesn’t expect is to meet up again with Bear (Julian) who had been her niece’s skateboarding coach.
I really enjoyed reading Kara and Bear’s story. It’s obvious straight away that they both like each other but both have stuff going on in their personal lives and a relationship isn’t what either had in mind.
Kara and Bear are both great characters and a loved them both. I have to admit to not being a fan of Toby. I know he is Kara’s best friend but I didn’t like the way that he treated her at times, especially where Bear was concerned, although I expect that this is what the author had in mind.
Running through the story is a storyline about family and how important your family is. I also really enjoyed this added storyline and have to add that I loved Kara’s family. They were so supportive of her.
Overall I really enjoyed this sweet romance story.

Secure Heart (Chase Security Series #3) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Liz Vrchota

Secure Heart (Chase Security Series Book 3)Secure Heart by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This has been a fun series to follow and this book being the third, I would suggest reading the previous two before diving into this one. We really grow and get to know the Chase Security team throughout them but the characters overlap from book to book. Dunn really has a knack for writing a well developed and layered story. I love that the romance is simply a layer, not the whole read, and in doing so it becomes an enhancement not a chore to read. I was anxious to get my hands on this one and discover more of Julian, and was he as smooth and sexy as I ever expected. Holly and Sadie bring a sweet and sassy side to the story and kept me giggling at times with some of Sadies antics and points of view. I really look forward to seeing what we will get in the next installment.

Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High, #4)Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd collection of books in the Hero High Series. The story of Friday continues in these fast paced books. I have loved all the books in this series and the twists and turns keeps you gripped. As the books progress its great to see Friday mature as as a person.

After waking up from her coma everything for Friday has changed. Her best friend for life Jane is in prison for attacking her, her love interest Ashley has been removed to villain school because of his father and Friday has now become popular.

As the demand on Friday grows she begins to realise that being a hero isn’t as great as she thought due to the TV series input. Will she follow along to keep her fame and popularity or will she go against them and be the true hero she always dreamed of being.

With new pressures and a new love interest on the scene Friday has matured and grown and now has to make a decision about what type of hero she wants to be.

I was diagnosed with clinical depression after the loss of my mother, father and husband within three years of each other; all to cancer. 24/7 in-home care, coupled with the loss I felt, left its mark on my psyche.

Depression takes up a lot of my life. Reading and writing are the only things I have found that help (in connection with regular medication), even if only for a short time. To escape to a different world can make a big difference in my mood in real time.

To put things in perspective, when I was at my lowest point, I couldn’t open mail, talk on the phone, or even drive to the store. Walls of sadness surrounded me. As they closed in, tears would fall. There didn’t need to be a reason or trigger.

People ask me why I started writing. My answer is simple: I wanted to create a world into which other people with similar problems could escape. I wanted to share the one place that had helped me for many years.

I have always said that as long as one person finds a little bit of happiness out of my books, I am, in my opinion, an accomplished author. The same is true for every writer out there. Please don’t ever let anyone tell you different.

I read books as well as write them and have visited the worlds many different authors have created. Those worlds not only make me feel better, but give me the strength to face real life again. I want to thank everyone who writes – I want them to know they are making a difference.

Fast forward to today…

Tompkin’s School: For The Dearly Departed (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 2) by Tabi Slick – Review by Sara Oxo

Tompkin's School For The Dearly Departed (Supernatural Trilogy #2)Tompkin’s School For The Dearly Departed by Tabi Slick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tompkins School: For the dearly departed by Tabi Slick a fantasy of a four-star read. This is number two in the Supernatural Academy Series and it could be read as stand-alone, but honestly, I would advise you to read them in order as they do build the background and the characters. If I hadn’t read the first, I don’t think I would have enjoyed number two as much as I did. When you read this story, you are told it by the twins Kain and Izzy, you are there with them when they figure who to listen to, who to trust and who they shouldn’t. There is a lot going on with this story, a lot of jumping around, but as you read you are able to keep up and keep it all clear. This is a great story and I am eager to read the next instalment.

IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5) Anthology – Review by Sara Oxton

IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irresistible – Fall Into Romance a great collection of stories by some amazing authors. All of these stories bring something to the collection, I adore these types of collections as they bring authors to my attention that I may have missed and they bring authors that I have read before and brought them to my fore front, authors like Jen Talty who I had read previously but not for a long time, and I don’t know Whisky Sour lit a flame under me, it has romance and passion and just strong characters who make you care for them, care about what happens to them. Then you have Ignore my Heart by Alicia Street, an author I haven’t read previously but will be checking again, as oh my goodness I thought it was going to break my heart, but in the end it warmed it so much I thought it may set a flame. I can’t wait to try my hand at another of their stories. Another favourite of mine was Tamara Ferguson as it made me remember the two Hearts Wounded Warrior series and they encapsulate your heart and don’t want to let go. Overall This is a collection you don’t want to miss, especially when you think of the quality and amount of words you get for the price.

CAFE CONFIDENTIAL: An unfiltered and intimate memoir by Lynda Filler Author
Genre – Memoir, Self-help, Adventure (travel)
In 2018 three things happened that changed my life. First, I met a book critic from New Delhi on Goodreads, and we became very good friends. That same summer I spent a very long night on a flight to Paris and chatted the entire way with a young Muslim man who was on his way to Amman, Jordan for a wedding. And third, both things opened my mind to a world I’d never experienced so I made a decision to liquidate my life in Mexico and travel. I bought a series of one-way airline tickets with no return destination. Café Confidential is the story of my adventures and why I’m living in Istanbul today.

Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High Collections Book 2) by Mina Chara – Review by Sara Oxton

Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High, #4)Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara a thrilling five-star collection. This rebellion contains novels number four, five and six in the series and they are titled Depression, Acceptance and Hero and they all tell is a different part of the story, because of the storyline I would definitely advise you check out books one, two and three before this collection as the build the world is sublime and you would miss that if you missed the first stories. Friday is a sublime character, much like the day, they brings it all together, the difference I noticed with these three was a darker edge to Friday, like the clouds had darkened threatening bad times, they were also faster paced stories, maybe its because I know the characters better but there was an extra depth to the story that I adored.

Martin Ferguson – I live in Norwich, England and am currently working on the young adult adventure and historical series ‘Relic Hunters’. Inspired by the myths and legends my parents told me as a boy and with the help of my ever-suffering wife, a teacher and history graduate, ‘Eagle of the Empire’ was the first entry in the ‘Relic Hunters’ series.

Spend a couple fun-filled days surrounded by the Bryson family, twinkling lights, evergreens, fresh snow and plenty of presents. Plus, share some intimate moments between the couples.
Note: This is the fourth book in the Brothers in Blue series. It’s highly recommended to read the Brothers in Blue trilogy first, along with Teddy’s short story, since everyone in this book has already found their soulmate and the love of their life. This book is meant to be a fun and light-hearted revisiting of a few beloved characters in a small town we all know as Manning Grove.

Pharaoh’s Forgery (Karina Cardinal Mysteries Book 4) by Ellen Butler – Review by Jenni Bishop

Pharaoh's Forgery (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 4)Pharaoh’s Forgery by Ellen Butler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pharaoh’s Forgery: Karina Goes on Vacation (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 4) by Ellen Butler is another superb suspense/mystery and a wonderful addition to this series. I can’t get enough of Karina and the situations she inadvertently finds herself in (reminds me of myself). In typical Karina fashion a simple fun and relaxing holiday turns out to be anything but and she soon finds frenemies coming out the woodwork. Humour, great locations, great characters and lots of suspense make for an unpredictable and thrilling ride.

That Incredible Kiss (Kissed By Fate 3) By Tamara Ferguson – Review by Angelina Frazzini

THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3)THAT INCREDIBLE KISS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

That Incredible Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is book three of the Kissed by Fate series. This book! I couldn’t put it down!

Ashley and Brian fought their attraction to each other for a long time. They shared one moment and everything seemed like it would line up even though they were both leaving after high school. Not everything is as easy as that and their family drama inevitably gets between them. Ashley matured from the spoiled young girl to a very strong independent woman. That’s the woman Brian meets again when he returns to Crystal Rock ten years later. Will their family secrets and drama keep them apart again or will they be able to move passed it?

I really enjoyed this book. Ashley wasn’t exactly my favorite at first but seeing how she grew and matured changed my opinion of her. Sometimes life experiences force you to grow and adapt. Ashley is a strong one. I highly recommend this book!

IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5) Anthology – Review by Heather Lovelace

IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love these anthologies and this latest one is no exception. The collection is fantastic and each story is a five star read on its own. I’ll have to admit that my favorite of this bunch was Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Truce. I love her Two Hearts books and this was just another beautiful romantic suspense. Just a wonderful anthology in total that any romance lover will enjoy.
