She’s No Cowgirl (My Cowboy Series Book 5) by Brooke May is a sports romance story. It is an easy read that flowed well from start to end. Characters are quickly developed and likeable, believable and you get invested in their lives. This book has a bit of everything in it, from the drama and secrets, to love and frustration, of hope and wonder. It is a tale of young love, of two people brought together for the love of their sports and finding their own way. I enjoy Brooke’s writing and I have yet to read a book I have not liked from her.

Secure Heart (Chase Security Series Book 3) by R.L. Dunn does not fail to deliver and this third book is just as enthralling as the previous two. Tompkin’s School: For The Dearly Departed (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 2) by Tabi Slick is a good second book for this series. The Torvik twins are back at the Tompkins School for another year. A school specifically created to kill them and others like them, as near as they can tell. Quite a bit going on in this story, it’s fast paced and there are quite a few details and lots of interesting players. There is the big mystery and it will keep you guessing. Can’t wait for the next one.

I have read 1 of these amazing stories, but I will be going back to read the rest over the next couple of weeks to add more to my thoughts here. I read Tamara Ferguson’s book and like all her other stories I was hooked to see what would transpire in this one. Amanda and Jeff dated years ago and after something happened, things shifted and they split. Now they’re back in the same town and feelings are high. Can they make a go of it this time, or will Amanda’s past be the barrier keeping them moving forward? Or even Jeff’s job? I really enjoyed these two and they had such a great story, very believable and relatable and I love that.

Pharaoh’s Forgery (Karina Cardinal Mysteries Book 4) by Ellen Butler
5 ++++ Stars
I can’t even find words to describe how much I love this series. Not sure if it’s the characters and how they’re written, or their dialogue, or the storylines, or the fact I cant put the books down while I’m reading them. Even the drama and the edge of your seat danger has me completely hooked. I love Karina and have always said I want to be her friend and her sidekick in how she just falls into stuff and how she maneuvers her way through it all. Also, who knew Mrs Thundermuffin had so much more to her? I just loved this book so so much and it was a perfect addition to a favorite series from a favorite author. I seriously can not wait for a cold winter day to sit and read all these over again.
I just know this can’t be the end of this series, too many things left unanswered…Silverthorne Security being just one. I love these guys and how they “handle” Karina, this always makes me smile and a lot of time laugh out loud. Then there’s Mike…. I love Rodrigo, and his friendship with Karina is one of my favorite parts of these stories.
I truly just don’t know what to say except pick this series up..each I suppose could be read as a standalone but trust me when I say don’t do that… There’s history to these characters you absolutely don’t want to miss.

This was a really good continuation of the story about Kain and Izara. The story took a bit of a dark turn but I loved it. The twists and turns in this book kept me on the edge and I had no idea where it was going. Tabi Slick has created a winner and I look forward to reading the next installment in this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a good supernatural series.

Brumbaugh is a new author to me and one that I will definitely pick up again. I found this book to be riveting and well developed. The world building was detailed and vivid. The Patience of Karma is the fifth book in The Madeline Dawkins Series by Cynthia Hamilton. This is the fourth book I have read in this series and this book did not disappoint. The author does an amazing job carrying out multiple story lines within the same book. Madeline Dawkins is a private investigator with her partner Mike Delaney. One case leaves Madeline looking for a client’s missing nephew to help save his dying niece. It’s thought the nephew Daniel died in a boating accident that took the lives of two of his friends, but a photo surfaces that proves otherwise. Finding Daniel could lead to him being a kidney donor for his sister, ultimately saving her life. The other case deals with an older man worried that his younger wife is cheating on him. Digging into this case leads to some strange and dangerous evidence. Then to top it all off, Mike Delaney is struggling with some past choices he made and how they might affect his present life. These three cases were true tests for Madeline. Like in other novels, I really enjoyed reading Madeline’s story. She is such a strong female main character and works very hard in her profession. I look forward to continuing Madeline’s story in the next novel.

THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3) by Tamara Ferguson
Another romance in Crystal Rock, there is something magical there and I hope the magic doesn’t end any time soon.
Ashley and Brian have known each since they were kids and just when things start moving forward something happens to tear them apart for several years. Thankfully that is just the beginning of their second chapter.
There is so much that happens that is tied to the past for both Crystal Rock and Ashley and Brian and it wasn’t anywhere close to where my mind took me.
This is a great series, not over the top with the romance or the suspense. Can’t wait to who falls next.

The Patience of Karma is book 5 in the series. This book can be read as a stand alone however it’s always good to have read the previous books to understand the level of relationships and what was conjured up to get them where they are today. I have read the previous books. Mike and Madeline have a long history. Here they are back at it again doing what they love. I always wonder if the books would keep my attention better if it was one case at a time. I enjoyed reading the book but it did take me a while to finish. This duo has 2 cases which are keeping them busy. A missing nephew who is thought to have possibly passed away but there’s reason to believe he’s still alive. He’s needed for a very important reason involving his sister who desperately needs him. The other case is a high profile person who believes his wife is cheating. Should be a very easy cut and dry case. With any good book there’s always surprise bumps in the road to keep us entertained. I love the relationship between the characters and always wonder what they will be up to next.

I enjoyed this contemporary romance by Belinda Williams, ‘Self Made’ is book two in the ‘Freshwater’ series and we are back in beachside Sydney with another high-achieving women and the man who is not afraid to be challenged by her. It can be read as a standalone story although the setting and some characters do crossover books. Jessica Jinks is the face of her online fitness brand and with her business going from strength to strength she is feeling pretty confident. Even when tasked with transforming comedian and co-host of an evening current affairs show, Ant Monticello, “from unfit to ripped in three months” and with the whole country watching his progress Jess is positive she can deliver. However when she meets Ant and he wants to go for fast food before his cardio exercise, Jess realises the challenge she’s up against. The more Jess and Ant work together on his fitness, diet and exercise Jess is shocked that Ant actually makes her pulse race and she loves that he makes her laugh. Ant meanwhile is determined to turn himself into the man Jess wants and loves making her laugh. Jess is very aware that with the country watching and the success of her business relying on his transformation that Ant is definitely off limits and so even though she’s attracted to him she keeps things professional. As Ant undergoes his transformation physically he also starts to change his personality and Jess realises that he’s changing in a bad way and that maybe Ant was perfect just as he was, but how does that leave her business. This was another wonderful romantic story with some great characters and a lovely setting, which the authors detailed descriptions really made come alive. I loved Jess and Ant as they were both so relatable in different ways and I and was really cheering them on wanting them to both get their happy ever after. The chemistry between the couple really came across in the narrative and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. The storyline had plenty of drama along with the romance and the plot along with the characters had me hooked from beginning to end. This was an enjoyable and fun read, and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I highly recommend reading the first book in the Topkin’s School for the Dearly Departed. You will have the story of the twins Izzy and Kain. This is a YA Paranormal story that has drama, adventure, mystery, and suspense. The Twins have abilities that they are learning to use. They are still trying to find out if their abilities are a curse or a benefit. They are not sure who they can trust and look for answers to understanding their abilities. They are on an adventure but they are still new and there could be trouble coming their way. I highly recommend this book to get lost in an adventure of the twins Izzy and Kain.

Kickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks is a fun romantic story that is quick an easy to read. It is full of sweet romance and the main characters are amazing to read about. This is the kind of book that is perfect to escape to for a few hours as you instantly connect to Kara and Bear and the relationship between them. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I definitely enjoyed it. It was a fun and entertaining read and the author did a great job of creating a storyline that flowed easily. I was engaged with the book from the moment I started reading it and found it to be the kind of book I could easily read in one sitting. It was a great book and I am looking forward to discovering more by this author.
This is my second book by Tabi Slick. Tompkin’s School: For the Dearly Departed is a story that includes mystery, danger, and suspense. You absolutely need to read these in order. Besides the fact that Tabi Slick’s ability to wordsmith is outstanding- you get to follow everything happening easier with reading in order. Izzy and Kain are in the middle of it once again as the new school year starts, and new challenges evolve for them as well as new dangers and different enemies. I recommend this trilogy if you like paranormal and even if you don’t- this storyline is fantastic and will get you turning the pages to see what’s happening next.

Self Made by Belinda Williams is the second book in the Freshwater series. This book can be read as a standalone. The characters and their chemistry are what make this book entirely. They have a great connection that you can feel from the moment they meet and it carries on throughout the whole book. The overall story is fun and entertaining as well. You find yourself easily becoming engaged with the storyline and wanting to see how it is all going to end. Belinda Williams isn’t an author I am overly familiar with but she is someone that I definitely want to read more of. I enjoyed her writing style, the whole book has a great pace to it and the words just seemed to flow really well. It didn’t take much to get into this book right from the start and the whole thing was really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend giving this book a try!

This is the second book I’ve read by Tammy and I love it! She has a way of bringing the characters to life. She is an amazing author.
Zenia, Zen as everyone calls her, is excited that she is going to meet her favorite idol. She had his poster on her wall when she was 16. The quote I chose for Zen is: “If I’d known that this was the way I’d meet the swim star I’d admired since I was a teenager, I would’ve worn some perfume or at least a little more makeup. I never expected it to be this intimate.”
Sebastian, aka Seb, is a known Olympic Swimmer. He’s going back to his hometown after being away for years. This is the place where he learned to swim. The quote I chose for Seb is: “I’m serious, Zenia. I’m not throwing out empty compliments to win you over, I swear. I really mean it. I see how you talk to people, even with your family, your sister. It’s within you, this force of support and motivation. Your sweet, genuine nature makes it easier for people to believe when you tell them they can achieve anything, that their dreams are attainable. I saw it yesterday when you were talking to new clients. You honestly want to help them triumph in whatever goals they set for themselves. It’s really admirable and much more selfless than what goes on in my world of glitzy functions and media exploits.”
This is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it for you!

Such a wonderful book! The story really pulled me in, I could not put this book down. The characters were all really well written. The chemistry between the 2 main characters, Anthony and Jess was off the charts. I love how Jess was into Anthony no matter what he looked like. I can understand why Anthony wouldn’t want to commit to Jess in the form of marriage and children due to his childhood and his father, BUT I also was so mad that he couldn’t see he wasn’t like his dad, and he would be perfect for her. When he decided to date the annoying Alicia, my heart broke for Jess, and then there was that one night that almost ruined everything for them. I was very pleased with the ending, but could have really done with an epilogue! I want to see how Jess and Ant ended up, but I am holding out hope I will see them in the next book. This is book 2 in the series, but it can be read as a standalone.

As soon as I saw there was a second Freshwater book from Belinda Williams available, I one-clicked without a second thought. This one was just as gripping and fabulous as the first and I am so happy I dove in head first. In Self Made we get the story of Ant and Jessica, two characters that I instantly fell in love with and was cheering for to find that happily ever after. Jessica is on top of the world and making her gym business soar. The challenge that Ant presents to her is one she feels she will overwhelmingly win at but is met with much more of a challenger than she anticipated. Ant is fun and light hearted and in love with his fast food. His comedian side keeps the book lighthearted and one that elicits lots of laughter as you read. I especially loved the premise of what if he was perfect from the get go? Does the body have to match the personality? I can’t wait to check out the rest of the series!

Reign is the third book in The Larussio Legacy series from Via Mari. I would personally recommend that you read all the previous books and in order before diving into this one, as this is a continuation well from them. We find Gio and Serena are still struggling with her security and the usual difficulties that accompany the mafia family. I personally enjoy mafia romance novels and this happens to be at the top of my list for favs in the genre. I love the suspense that Via Mari builds and even more the added romance and steam is enough to keep my fanning myself the whole time. Via really does a great job of including sexy scenes but not going to that point of porn or unbelievable stuff which I really enjoy. I am excited to see what we will get in the next installment. I am sure there will be even more intrigue and suspense mixed with the right amount of sass and sexy times.

Secure Heart (Chase Security Series #3) by R.L. Dunn. I have loved this series and this book was no different. Its the story of Julian Dupart who is a former Navy Seal and set to be the new head of the Chase Group in San Diego. Julian has been widowed for 5 years and is having a super hard time letting go of the memory of her. Holly Morrison is an up and coming Indie Singer and a single mom to 4 year old Sadie. Holly is living a great life except she has a stalker that is scaring her more than she’s ever been scared before. When Chase Security is hired to take over her day to day security detail she meets Julian. Julian is smitten with Holly and Holly is taken with Julian. There is also a serial kidnapper on the loose and he is after Julian. Will they be able to find her stalker and the kidnapper before its too late. I also feel in love with Sadie, she is precious! Do yourself a favor and read Secure Heart. You will love it!

This was a lovely teenage romance that just goes to show that a summer fling doesn’t have to just be a fling. The characters are well written and engaging and the story is relatable to young people
Kara and Bear are two young people who are both moving forward in their lives. Kara to university and Bear to work with his dad in the family business.
During the summer Bear wants to enjoy his time teaching kids to skateboard and even though Kara would love an adventure with her best friend Toby family commitments means its not possible.
However when they meet their summers seem to be looking up. Is this just a summer fling? Or will their romance last longer than either of them expect it too.
This is a very good book. As the first I’ve read by the author I can say Jacks has a new follower. She knows how to create characters you wish you could join.
Kara, a college student, finds that her summer is going to be boring without her best friend. She decides to join him on his adventure, but she’ll be getting one of her own. The quote I chose for Kara is: “Don’t worry, I won’t get any romantic feelings towards you. I don’t want your head getting any bigger.”
Julian, Bear, is the heir of Blue Oaks Theme Park. He loves skateboarding and wants to make a summer out of it. When Kara shows up it reminds him of what he can’t do. The quote I chose for Bear is: “I’m just messing with you. You’re cute when you’re flustered.”
If you want romance then this is for you. Highly recommended for anyone!
Fall of the Western Kings (Tirumfall Trilogy Book 1) is a J Drew Brumbaugh is an original fantasy story with a lot of everything to reel you in. The character development and the world building see magic and lots of magical beings come together as a battle ensues with dragons and elves, knights and wizards and evil versus good. The story was a little slow to begin with but soon made up as we get further into the characters and action.

Her Blackened Heart (The Blackened Series Book 2) by Isra Sravenheart was a great continuation to the first book. I really enjoyed the story, the perspective felt really original. I love Lady Isra and Astrid, they’re such unique characters. So much happens but it is well organized and easy to follow. I loved all the twists and turns.
