Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion is the 2nd collection in the Hero High series. It is books 4-6, but reading it, I didn’t realize it was 3 separate books. There doesn’t seem to be an ending or a beginning of the next. This collection should be read after the first 3 books, as it picks up where those left off. I really enjoy this series. At first it seems cheesy, but it is wonderfully written. There is a great story line, so many characters, and a perfect balance. There is a little bit of romance, some sadness, a lot of action, its a perfect blend. It is really creative, a whole world and back story has been created. Each hero has their own unique powers and their own back story. I liked this part of the story because we get to see Friday mature. She isn’t just a scared high school kid, she is becoming her own person. She is learning to control her power and understand and own her feelings. She is standing up for what she believes and becomes a leader. I highly recommend this series, and look forward to more from this author.

I am loving this series!! It is dangerous and sexy…emotional and thrilling…I just can’t get enough.
This is third book of the series and focuses on Julian. Julian has recently become the head of Chase Security’s San Diego branch. He is digging himself out of a past that has beaten him down. Upon arriving in San Diego, he finds out that Chase medical is endangering its patients and putting their lives at risk. One of those lives belongs to a little girl named Sadie. Sadie is suffering from the same condition that took Julian’s wife from him…but he is determined to save her. Her mother, Holly, has her own past demons that force her to keep her walls up. However, when Holly and Julian are together, the chemistry is definitely there. However, more danger lurks around the corner when a serial kidnapper targets women and their children. Julian, and the rest of Chase Security, are trying to find out who is behind everything while keeping everyone safe.
I found myself really invested in both Holly and Julian. Their pasts had me hoping that each of them would find happiness and not be faced with heartbreak again. Holly is a strong character and not quick to let a man take care of her…and I loved that about her. This is another great book in this series and I am looking forward to Zach’s story next!

THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3) by Tamara Ferguson
This book was such a good read. It was full of mystery, suspense, romance, and forgiveness. This book can be read as a standalone, but it’s my suggestion you read all of the books in this series. This book has some of the characters from past books and they are all wonderful stories. This book pulled me in from the start and I couldn’t put it down until the end. I read this book in one sitting. The author does an excellent job making these characters relatable and making you feel like your right along in the story. This is a must read. I highly recommend this book.

I give Tompkin’s School: For The Dearly Departed (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 2) by Tabi Slick, 4 stars.
This book picks up with our characters after book one and the suspense and action does not stop until the end. A young adult supernatural book, it revolves around students of a boarding school. Kain and Izara have changed so drastically from what they once were. The struggle between retaining what they were and believe plus coming to figure out just what they now are is very evident and makes them seem quite real. But this isn’t the only issue in this book. There are many characters for and against them, but they don’t really know just who is who. I enjoyed the cast of characters in this story.
The book itself is a great story written to keep you entertained, intrigued, and guessing. The author does a great job of this and I cannot wait to see where the story leads us next. If you are a fan of YA supernatural books, this series is for you.

This was such a great read. I really liked getting to read about Kara and Bear. They meet by chance and then end up working together. While Kara just wants some fun for the summer, Bear is a focused on the future and how to get there and when. This is a fun summer read you can just get lost in. I enjoyed all the secondary characters as well, they added to this story which makes it even better. Will be reading more from this author.
I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This has been one of my favorite series of this year. I can see this turning into a television series or movies. These characters suck you into their world like you never left. This is the collection of books four through six. The names of these books are Depression, Acceptance, and Hero. You do need to read the first three books to understand what is going on. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately and I read it all the way through. It only took me a few hours to devour this addictive book.
Friday is still learning how to be a great superhero. She loves going to her school but the crime is getting worse and she doesn’t know why. Friday gets an unexpected visit from a well known villain and he tells her some top secret information that changes everything in her new life. She also is now on a new team and she meets Luke which is a nice guy but even though Ashley is a villain she still cares for him. A heartwarming and emotional romance and although book three in Ferguson’s ‘Kissed by Fate’ series it can happily be read as a standalone story. Set in Crystal Rock as our the previous two books in the series and this time it’s Ashley and Brian’s story. Ashley Mitchum & Brian O’Neill grew up together in Crystal Rock, Wisconsin, but until they shared a kiss during the summer after high school the couple had not really gotten on. Brian thought Ashley was spoilt and could be cruel and Ashley thought Brian just interfered in her life. However, following the kiss they both realised that they had been fighting and denying their attraction for one another. Just as the couple decide to commit to each other, tragedy strikes when Ashley’s father is implicated in a Ponzi scheme and then runs away with Brian’s mother. Even more tragically Ashley’s best friends father commits suicide having lost all his money in the scheme. Ten years after circumstances forced the couple apart both Ashley and Brian find themselves back in Crystal Rock. As both their families dark secrets are revealed Ashley and Brian have to decide whether to admit that they both still think about that one ‘Incredible Kiss’, all those years ago.
I love a Tamara Ferguson novel and this one was no different, not only does she write a wonderful romance but each story is so much more than ‘just’ a love story. Each novel has plenty of drama, suspense, wonderful and relatable characters, like Ashley and Brian, and they are all set in a magical places, like Crystal Rock. ‘That Incredible Kiss’, has a great storyline which had me hooked from the start, the narrative flowed well and the plot held plenty of surprises which kept me turning the pages well into the night, wanting to know how it would end. A five star read and a book I definitely recommend along with the previous books in the series.

Book two in Ferguson’s ‘Kissed by Fate’ series and although set in the same magical place of Crystal Rock and with some characters who cross over this can be read as a standalone story, however having read and enjoyed book one I would recommend reading that as well. A heartwarming romance set in a small town the plot also has plenty of drama, suspense, and mystery as well as dealing with some darker issues such as murder and human trafficking, all of which had me hooked from start to finish. At the heart of the storyline is a second chance at love romance between Dylan and Julie. Fate bought them together in Crystal Rock when FBI Agent Dylan Nash was working undercover as a game warden and met Julie Thompson a special education teacher. The pair have instant chemistry and are mutually attracted to each other but not only is Dylan undercover but Julie is involved with another man and is working in Colorado. Although they become friends whilst Julie is visiting her hometown she is upset when her best friend Kate turns up dating Dylan. They both move on and Julie returns to Colorado but a few years later she is back permanently in Crystal Rock working as a teacher at a new school for children with disabilities, Crystal Visions.
With both Dylan and Julie back in the same place again maybe fate had not finished with them. Dylan finally confesses his feelings for Julie as the couple learn that a series of misunderstandings have kept them apart, including his apparent past relationship with Kate. Claiming Julie with an ‘Unexpected Kiss ’, neither can deny their chemistry. As well as working undercover Dylan is also searching for his fathers killer as he wants justice, also twenty years ago Julie’s mother disappeared and she’s always wanted answers. When clues link her mother’s disappearance with the man who shot Dylan’s father, Dylan has to protect Julie and keep her safe from a vicious predator.
This had a enjoyable storyline with plenty going on in the plot to get involved in and keep me happily turning the pages. I was gripped by the underlying mysteries of Dylan’s fathers murder and Julies mother’s disappearance and this added an extra depth to the story as a whole. The characters are likeable and relatable and due to the authors wonderfully detailed descriptions the setting of Crystal Rock really comes alive and I felt fully immersed in the place whilst reading this novel, great escapism. A fabulous second book in this exciting and romantic series and I look forward to the next book in the ‘Kissed by Fate’ series.

This second chance at love romance, standalone story is wonderfully written and was an enjoyably emotional read. Set in the town of Crystal Rock, Kate Callahan And Michael Murphy first meet when Murphy arrives in the town to work as an intern at Callahan Construction, and Kate was his crew boss. Kate always knew she would one day take over her family’s construction business and so was not particularly interested in meeting a man, until she meets Murphy and sparks fly. Murphy had his life planned out, finish his degree in Architecture, complete his internship in Crystal Rock and then return to Chicago and work for an prestigious firm. He did not expect to fall for a local girl and for them to have instant chemistry. The couple share an ‘Unforgettable Kiss’ whilst they worked closely together to identify the thief who had been stealing construction materials from the company. However they both decide a long distance relationship would not work and so they then go their separate ways. Six years later and Kate is devastated when she hears that Murphy is engaged and so is shocked when he suddenly returns to Crystal Rock and is determined to win her back. Meanwhile there is an ominous secret in the town and Kate needs protecting from an unknown predator.
I loved the main characters, Kate and Murphy and I found them very relatable with the issues they faced and the decisions they had to make. I liked how although they were instantly attracted to one another and had instant chemistry which sizzled off the page, their relationship also developed the more time they spent together, leading up to their unforgettable kiss. The storyline flowed well and the lively narrative made this an easy and enjoyable read. The plot had plenty of romance and drama which had me hooked from page one and I enjoyed the added bit of mystery in the story as well. A great read, and I look forward to the rest of the books in the ‘Kissed by Fate’ series.

Reign was another great book in the Larussio Legacy series. This mafia romance will pull you in, take you on a ride with the twists and turns, then leave you loving Gio and Serena even more. The connection between Gio and Serena is powerful and steamy. Via Mari always seems to have me addicted to her characters and her writing that I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

This is a very creative story. The series is definitely original in context. I believe that you should read part one to be able to fully follow along with this book. There is time travelling several times in this book with references to book one. Jain and Izzy’s powers are developing and getting stronger. Neither enjoys being the creatures that they are but I think Izzy is accepting it more than her brother. This is their second year at the school and they are thrown into some crazy situations. There is a lot of intrigue in this book and the ending will leave you with your mouth hanging open. There are more characters introduced but unfortunately it just raises more questions. I’m hoping all of them will be answered in part three.

This is the 2nd book in the series. Moon and Katja I actually adore thier appetite and passion. Cy and Jolie are still new as a couple and going on a big venture with these two. Can they make their dreams come true. Will this work out for them. Phoebe lives giving you unexpected twist and turns. Hint don’t read on a bus 😂.
Book 3 Fire and Ice
Enya and Neve are employee as spicetopia and irs set to go big. This describe these to perfectly to a tee. Two opposite to each other finding themselves alone doing the PR for spicetopia. Then discovering after this a sabotage attempt on their boss dream. So many twist and unexpected turns in this story.
Book 4 Naughty and Nice
We are getting ready for those wedding bells to chime. Natalie and Micha are doing this together. She won’t mind sinking her teeth into that body. He didn’t know what yo expected when he was asked to official the wedding at an adult theme park. Don’t miss this series hot and steamy it is.

I loved this book, while I haven’t read any previous books in the series this book was enough to make me want to go back and read the previous reads in the series! This read was fast-paced from the get-go, and it was so enjoyable to read! The characters really brought this story to life, and I loved following along on their journey! This story has action, adventure & romance. The chemistry between Julian and Holly was undeniable and I absolutely loved watching them grow as people and their relationship throughout. I can’t wait to go back and read more from this series and also see where else this author takes us! I highly recommend this read and this author!

That Incredible Kiss is book 3 in the Kissed by Fate series by Tamara Ferguson. This book, like all of hers, was great. I love her books, and recommend to anyone who likes a good quick romance. They are romantic but clean, and have good storylines that come together perfectly. This, like most, takes place in Crystal Rock, a small town in Wisconsin. This book was a good balance of romance, drama and mystery, and I was quickly hooked. This book is the story of Ashley and Brian, who shared a kiss 10 years ago in high school. Each had plans to go their own way, Ashley moving away for college and Brian joining the army. They are brought together again 10 years later in present story. I love the story and the characters were well written, along with some great supporting characters. Highly recommend this book, and all of Ferguson’s books. You wont want to put it down

I was really hopeful for this book. I was intrigued by the idea of the storyline. Sadly the story was stiff and unforgiving. The natural flow seemed lost and I struggled to stay involved in the characters or the story. The ending is expected, I would have loved more to bring me to care about the characters.
It is nice seeing Logan and Ben’s relationship progress. Also the update on her daughter and Liam.

I really liked reading Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion (Hero High Collections Book 2) by Mina Chara. It is a set of stories that had me hooked from the start. This set picks up where the last left off so i would recommend reading this series in order. Friday is such an awesome main character, i absolutely loved her. She is relatable because she is strong but emotional and i loved that. SO much happens in this set and i couldnt put it down. There was secrets and drama and so much action and evilness, i was on the edge of my seat. The author did such a great job with this set and i am excited to see what else this author puts out! Tompkin’s School: For The Dearly Departed by Tabi Slick is the second book in A Supernatural Academy Trilogy. The book continues from where book 1 left off, so I recommend reading book 1 first. The twins, Izara and Kain, are getting more control of their powers. The problem comes into with their ever-changing world who can they trust? This series got even better with this book. There is intrigue and adventure for the characters. I really enjoy how the characters are changing and adjusting to their situation and look forward to where they go in the future. This has great world building, as well. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series in the future.

I have ventured off into the Karina Cardinal mysteries again and once again I was taken away on an adventure. The author has are very addictive writing style that grabs the reader. I felt as though I was right there in the midst of the action. I felt as though I was right alongside Karina the whole time.
Karina can’t even have a peaceful vacation as drama follows her. I really like how the author is able to bring the characters to life and the book is well balanced with drama and intrigue. I definitely will be reading more from this author in the future.

Heartbreak Rebellion collects books 4-6 of Mina Chara’s Hero High series. It’s the second collection, following on from Figure In The Flames. The story follows young superhero Friday “Fitz” Fitzsimmons, who lives in a world where superheroes’ lives are the subject of reality TV and everything, from her clothes to her love life, is carefully chosen for her. Fitz relies on the glitzy celebrity life to support herself and her sister. And she gets the training and resources to put her powers to good use and save the day. As a superhero fangirl herself, she can cope with the more commercial side of things. But she is forced to reconsider as she discovers that things might not be quite as they seem, and that the battles she is fighting may not be as justified as she thought. This is a great series for young adults who enjoy superheroes. It’s critical of celebrities and media, and unpicks the apparent clear-cut binary of good and evil. Fitz is a fun protagonist and there are plenty of good supporting characters – I particularly like Lisa who’s very down-to-earth and balances being a superhero with looking after young children. For me, this is a five-star book. An exciting story with plenty of twists and turns as well as fantastic action scenes! I found this book very inspiring and relatable. As I read each page, I was easily relaxed. I loved how each chapter through each essay you learned something meaningful about what and how love can be. This is an easily readable book that is fun to get through. Excellent read!

That Incredible Kiss is the third book in Tamara Ferguson’s Kissed By Fate series and I have been waiting for it for such a long time! I absolutely love her Crystal Rock and Dragonfly Pointe universe and this book is a great addition to it! This Kiss, I mean book, is Ashley and Brian’s story and it folds over so many years, 10 years to be exact! They are graduating from high school and decided their next steps and finally acknowledging what they feel for each other when they world gets blown apart … it stays apart for 10 years until both of them have returned to Crystal Rock. It is finally time to figure out what the heck happened 10 years ago and go forward … hopefully together … with Spook in that amazing house by Stone Lake … Dig in and it would be smart to read the stories in order though I would say that it is not only this series you should read but also the other ones (Tales of Dragonfly especially) as they all seem to come together now … or is it so …

Having read the previous books of these series, (which I loved), this one put a more interesting spin on the life of mafia bosses making tough calls. The world building reminds me of “The Godfather” in theme. The love story between Giovanni and Serena is steamy but also a full-fledged romance plus the fact that action surrounds the life and death choices that surround their life. This will leave your heart racing with the love scenes, action, and the whole book is a gem!

I found this book rather enjoyable, especially watching the character, Ant, transform from being the cute and funny guy but into a hottie right before her eyes. Jessica is also trying to remain professional as she helps transform him into more than meets the eye but all good things aren’t made of gold as his whole personality transforms. This story was a classic movie turned book for me because it’s an interesting dynamic that makes for an incredible read.

I loved the way Davisson wrote this book which clings to your heart as we meet Lori, single mom of a young daughter. The vivid details of her attack, what’s going on as to why she’s hiding her truth will grip your heart. I loved the story, the environment and of course the detective work from Logan who will always prevail in her sights of justice.

I have read many books from this author and I’m yet to be disappointed and to be honest I don’t think I ever will be! This is the third installment to the series and can be read as a standalone. Wow Tamera is such an talented author, there is nothing like a novel that once you open up the first page and within a chapter your hooked and completely lost amongst there world, that is one of the reasons why I’m so passionate about reading! I love how it’s an easy read filled with romance, drama, deep dark secrets so much emotion packed into this read it is definitely 100000% worth a read!!!!

5 stars!!! If you love a chick lit this is the book for you, its light hearted and had me laughing on occasions. I like how it has both POV from Kara and Bear. Kickflick summer had me hooked from the start as I couldn’t wait to see where their relationship was going to go when they crossed paths, Kara has just become a young woman waiting to start university and she needs to find her way in the world away from her family whilst Bear worries about the shoulders he has to fill and whether he is up to the challenge, this made it great as they each have their own journey of discovery throughout whilst their worlds collide. I wish I could read this book for the first time all over again. Great writing and can’t wait to read her next book. Danielle Jack has wrote a great book about first love and new adventures.
