The Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink – Review by Shannon Fowler

The Sound of SilenceThe Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What an amazing, disturbing, encouraging story. The Sound of Silence is a part of the Black Rose Collection.

For abuse victims this story has to have many triggers. I was bothered by the situations and I am not a victim. Reading this story is an eye opener. You never know what is going on behind closed doors or in people’s minds.

However, the author Willink, does a great job of capturing the reader into the story and creating characters that you can love and even one or two to hate! The story had a good flow and was easy to follow. The story itself provides a look into the life of a domestic abuse victim and a domestic abuse survivor. Gianna is both and proves that you can have a happy life after a devasting time.

I recommend this story and even with the warning of triggers, it is still a really good story.
