Twisted SecretsTwisted Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This  book is the first in the Deadly Isles Special ops series and what a book. I loved the instant attraction between the main characters and also the mystery and drama that it involves.

Riley is a student studying photography. She also works in a coffee shop. Things seem good for Riley however things her boyfriend and professor seem to be heading downhill. There are secrets he is keeping from her. When her house is broken into and she gets weird messages is someone out to get her?

When Xander  an Navy SEAL walks into her life the last thing she expects the the instant connection between them.
Xander is on leave after his last assignment left him injured. He’s home to renovate his families properties. After leaving his job and his girlfriend leaving him all he wants is to focus on his tasks and get back to work. That is until he meets Riley.
He feels a connection so strong its like nothing he’s felt before. The need to protect her is immense.

Can they both overcome their pasts to ha e a future together? Can Xander save Riley from who ever is after her? Who is after Riley?
