Houses of Deception (The Madeline Dawkins Mystery Series Book 6) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Katie Matthews

Houses of Deception (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 6)Houses of Deception by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I haven’t read a new book from this series for a while so I was really excited to see this one and I couldn’t wait to get started. As I expected I was pulled straight into Madeline and Mike’s lives again and into the action that has never wavered over this series at all. I was completely glued to this story and loved trying to work out what was going to happen. Whilst in this book the storyline switches between two disappearances I wasn’t confused at all, I could tell the author had taken her time in planning so as to not confuse the reader – it was very well written!
I think this could be read independently from the series but as I have read most if not all of it, I would highly recommend starting from the beginning! I’m definitely looking forward to book 7!!
