The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Kerry Carr

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in The Girl and the Raven series. I have loved the other 2 books in this series and I wasn’t disappointed with this book either. I would definately recommend reading them in order so you get the full feel of the characters, their stories and how they are all linked. The story is a supernatural romance which is my favourite. It’s packed full of supernatural beings, romance and danger.

Lucy has had a tough time so far. First she finds out she’s a witch and her father’s a demon. Then her boyfriend turns out to be a protector and when his father tries to kill her she turns and ends up killing him.
Now plagued by guilt and constantly looking over her shoulder for the demon who wants her gone Lucy’s life isn’t about to get quiet.

With her boyfriend leaving to visit the rest of the Protectors, Lucy wonders if he will return to her or will he leave her and stay with his own kind?

Meanwhile while her boyfriend has gone and her father has disappeared, the demon after her now seeing his opportunity. By getting Lucy’s bully at school to work alongside him they put motions in place which means Lucy needs to learn to fight and use her powers fast or she will end up being defeated. Is Lucy as strong and powerful as she has been told she is? Will her boyfriend Marcus return to her? And when her friends get caught up in this fight can Lucy be strong enough to save them all?
