Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery Book 2) by Winter Austin – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery, #2)Hush, My Darling by Winter Austin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book that I’ve read in this series. I came to find out that this was a second book. You don’t have to read the first book to read this one. This book is a little unique being written in third person rather than 1st person. I enjoyed it a lot. It was like watching my favorite thriller come to life in front of me. Reading this book gave me goosebumps galore. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the author threw me another little breadcrumb. The main protagonist Elizabeth has gone through some hardships of her own, almost dying and learning to balance being a survivor and being the town’s new sheriff. With these new killings going on, Liz has been thrown for a loop. Are these new killings a sign of something far more sinister going on in her county or are they completely unrelated?
