The Vardoger Boy (The Forerunner Saga Book 2) by Jay Veloso Batista – Review by Kerry Carr

The Vardoger Boy (Forerunner Series)The Vardoger Boy by Jay Veloso Batista
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Forerunner Series. I do definately recommend reading these books in order so you get a full understanding of the story and the characters involved. I have read the first book and was so excited to get this book to see where the author takes us. This story is all about change and how peoples lives are affected in different ways by the same circumstances.
I love that this story is a mixture of history and mythology. It allows us an insight into how the world used to be.

The war is brewing again and this time there will be life’s lost that will change the families lives from the oldest to the youngest.
We are also still travelling with Karl and Thorfinn. They are travelling on a longboat to protect the people the vowed to protect. However Karl is getting suspicious about his nephew and his strange behaviour.
Thorfinn is still struggling to come to terms with being able to walk between worlds and what that actually means for him and the things he sees.

This story is so captivating and is full of twists and turns that will keep a reader gripped. It is a story of change and betrayal where no one knows who to trust and the consequences of trusting the wrong person could mean life or death
