My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m becoming a huge fan of suspense novels, and this one is definitely feeding the addiction!
Logan is our main character, and she is awesome! I love how she is portrayed as a strong independent woman who has found a partner in her husband Ben that compliments her. He is part of the story without being overpowering. Our other main characters are Logan’s best friends, Jean and Sam.
When tragedy strikes at the Cascade Raptor Center where Logan volunteers, things don’t quite add up. The CCC, or Cormorant Coffee Crew, take it upon themselves to investigate into the mystery. Sam is an investigative Journalist and Jean is a Medical Examiner.
I loved the mystery and suspense of this one. The characters are extremely well written, and the world is fleshed out perfectly. I also loved all the facts and “interactions” with the raptors at the Raptor center. Ms. Davisson did her research super well and made me want to run out and find a similar center to volunteer at!
