My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It was a gripping apocalyptic read. It was scary how the author’s writing took something that should be make believe and turned it into something you can imagine happening. The authors writing was gripping and made the story one that i couldn’t put down.

I loved the relationship between Amy and her daughter Lila. As a mother myself I understood every thought and emotion that Amy went through and her courage to push forward to protect her daughter.

The world is falling apart. A virus is infecting people turning them into mindless predators who know nothing but to kill. Amy and her daughter are trying to get somewhere safe, away from these monsters and to protect themselves. But is anywhere truelly safe?
With danger and possible death around every corner Amy fights constantly to make sure the her daughter is protected and safe. But there is only so much a mother’s love and protection can do.
In the face of odds not in their favour can mother and daughter survive and escape this horror show or will they succumb to this virus. It only takes one bite after all
