My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was an interesting story of Emma who grow up in the late 1800s and after surviving the great Chicago Fire. Emma is observes everything and notices things that no one else does. This leads her to start solving mysteries and solve a crime no one knew was a crime. I did feel like there could have been a bit more character development as some things I felt like were skimmed over. Overall, this was a fun listen with a twist at the end. Don’t forget to check out the recipes for the desserts that are discussed throughout the book. I can’t wait to try them.
